The newly renovated lemon leaf is absolutely amazing. The interior decor is outstanding. Great ambiance, huge selection on the bar. The food? Absolutely amazing. We got chicken satay, chicken wings and a bunch of lunch specials and a ton of drinks. The service could have been better, it almost seemed like they didn't wanna be there. But as for the food, the spices, the flavor and the quality were all amazing. We ordered basil beef, Penang curry, eggplant and some other dishes. Everything was absolutely amazing. The food itself deserves 5 stars. If the service was better we'd go here way more often. But don't sleep on this place. Amazing.

The new and updated Lemonleaf Grill is absolutely fantastic. The ambiance is no less than any fine dine restaurant. The food is excellent as always. So flavorful, fresh and delicious. The service is quick and the staff are really friendly. It's a MUST try.

Food is great. It was a gloomy day and we were there at 6 pm. The server needs to fix her attitude. And I'm sure it's not a cultural thing. Just be pleasant. Don't have to bring your life drama into your service. Do your job and leave. Thanks

The renovated lemon leaf is gorgeous, great decor and ambiance. The food 10/10, some of the best on the island. Great flavors, different levels of spice, everything was pure perfection. The service was sub par at best however. They messed up a few things and we were a party of 6 so we're not one to complain and they let us know at 350 they closed at 4 which was fine we requested the tab and they turned the lights off exactly at 4 while paying the tab which put a damper on the experience. The food was great the service not so much.

On our quest to find shrimp deep fried in eggroll wrappers aka shrimp mermaid for my son, we decided to have dinner here. First, no shrimp mermaids lol. But they have shrimp wrapped in egg noodles and then deep fried. Not the same thing. I enjoyed them but my felt there was too much egg noodles. Wound up taking most of it off and eating the shrimp. I got the massaman curry and it tasted great! I enjoyed it and there was plenty for leftovers. Wifey got the pad see ew with beef. She said it was okay. But it was mainly because she likes her beef crispy and charred. lol. I thought the beef was tasty. The taste reminded me of Korean kalbi. Plenty of leftovers there too. Atmosphere was okay. When we arrived for dinner there were no other customers. Sat anywhere we wanted. But there were plenty of seating and it was clean inside. Service was good. Quick. Not necessarily friendly but professional. Brought us water and the food came out in relatively short time. When asking to pack up the leftovers they brought out containers to the table and packed it for us. When paying by card they had a portable card scanner on them. I wouldn't mind coming back. But because they don't have shrimp mermaids and don't charr their beef, we will most likely continue on our quest elsewhere.

3.5 Stars for their lunch specials!…read more This was our first visit, and we only ordered a salad and two lunch specials. I would definitely come back to try other items from their regular menu. I found the entrees in the lunch special a little skimpy. These are the dishes we shared: -- Papaya Salad ($12): this is from their regular menu, and I thought it was excellent! Well balanced and so tasty! -- Drunken Noodles w.Beef (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Soup, which was a Tom Yum Soup. The Soup was very spicy but the Drunken Noodles were very mild; almost bland. It definitely needed more flavors and wok hei, but still ok. -- Massaman Curry w.Shrimp (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Salad, which came with a Peanut sauce. The Salad was actually pretty good; the peanut sauce was slightly sweet. The Massaman Curry w.Shrimp was very weak in flavor and only came with 3 little shrimps. I would suggest you order a different protein and skip the shrimp. Customer service was good; albeit there was nobody to greet us when we first arrived, so we just seated ourselves. But service got better. They didn't rush us to order and let us linger after we finished eating. But after a while, we were asked to leave since they close the restaurant in between the lunch and dinner service (between 3:30-4:30pm). Sorry, we were not aware of this! All in all, a decent first experience. Next time, I'd skip the lunch specials and just order off their regular menu.

We ordered the Khao Soi Noodle Soup which was a curry based soup. In the order you have a choice of protein and noodle type. We got chicken and egg noodles. I did like how the chilis and noodles were separated from the soup so the noodles weren't saturated and you can control the spice level. We also got Pad woon sen and the crab fried rice. The pad woon sen had a good ratio of chicken, veggies and noodles. Our favorite though was the crab fried rice. It was nice and fluffy, lots of fresh crab meat and very tasty. I would definitely order the fried rice again. Next time maybe I'll try dining in as their interior look nicely decorated.

I found this spot as I was looking for a Thai restaurant in Hicksville and it had great reviews…read more Google was saying that reservations were recommended but the times my friend and I tried calling (the day before), no one ever picked up so my friend and I just showed up on a Thursday afternoon hoping reservations weren't needed. By the way, their website does not work. Anyway, we ended up being the only people eating in for the 2 hours that we were there. I don't know if they weren't busy because it was a weekday and gloomy weather outside but our server was very friendly/sweet/welcoming and we were both happy with our meals and drinks! There is a small free parking lot behind the restaurant. I almost missed the entrance to the lot but it's literally right next to the restaurant, which is a small cute looking stand alone house. There were tables out front but the day we went it was a little chilly/rainy so we opted to sit inside. There were a few tables inside and even a small bar so we just sat in a booth. The overall decor inside was very cute! There's also a bathroom in the back. I ordered the Lunch Special: Pad See Ew with Shrimp and a Thai Iced Tea. I forgot what my friend ordered but she really liked it and said it had a home-cooked meal feel to it which was a positive thing. My food was also delicious though a bit on the smaller portion size and it came with a small salad (you can choose the salad or Tom Yum Soup) and a small spring roll. The Lunch Special Menu is only available Monday to Friday 11:30AM-3:00PM except holidays. I had a great time catching up with my friend while enjoying a delicious meal/drink and would definitely be returning soon!

Bravo! Bravo! Absolutely outstanding Thai food at great prices and a great location close to me…read more Everything on go. I ordered the chicken pad see ew, beef red curry, chicken satay, and basil chicken. Tried to hit every meat group. Next time gotta try the fish The Chicken Pad See Ew was a standout. Wide rice noodles with that perfect chewy texture and beautiful wok hei char. The savory-sweet soy-based sauce coated everything perfectly, and the mix of tender chicken and juicy pieces made it incredibly satisfying. The Beef Red Curry was rich and aromatic with a luscious coconut milk base. The red curry paste had great depth. There was layers of lemongrass, galangal, and spices. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and Thai basil were fresh and plentiful. I loved how it had a nice kick that built up without overpowering the dish. The Chicken Satay came out perfectly grilled with beautiful char marks. The chicken was juicy and marinated well, and the peanut sauce on the side was creamy, nutty, and addictive. Finally, the Basil Chicken delivered that classic Thai street-food flavor. Plenty of fragrant holy basil, lots of garlic, and just the right amount of chili heat. The chicken was tender with great texture, and it paired amazingly with jasmine rice. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portions were very generous too -- we had plenty of leftovers for the next day. As my son would say "10 out of 10!" but since we are on yelp, we'll have to settle with a 5. Give this place a try.

Portions were also an issue. The chicken came in a tiny container, AND was less than half-filled. The shrimp in the Panang Curry were a bright spot (perfectly cooked!), but the curry itself lacked the typical creamy consistency. Hopefully they take this as constructive feedback.

The restaurant is medium sized, lots of booths, and was decorated for Valentine's Day. They take reservations and were pretty busy. Service was good, although a little slow at the beginning. I tried the following dishes: Cauliflower Manchurian (3/5): This dish was pretty good, but not amazing. I did enjoy it. Garlic Chili Noodles (3.5/5): Pretty good noodles, not very spicy but good flavor and consistency. Hakka Chili Chicken (4/5): I liked this chicken, but my dining partner did not. The chicken was boneless dark meat, which I really like. You can get it with no, light, or full gravy. We did full and had it with rice. I did enjoy this dish. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at HAKA. No dishes were real standouts, but they were all decent. It is not a bad option for Indo-Chinese in the area.

The menu has both indian and chinese dishes. It's not fusion just two different cuisines being sold. We ordered a roll that came with shrimp tempura, mango and salmon. It was very good, a warm grill that felt like a sandwich. The side galore noodles we ordered were dry and not very flavourful. We ordered shrimp with then and they came with fried/tempura shrimp, which we found odd. There was also egg on the dish but it did nothing for the noodles. We ordered the noodles regular so they should have had some sauce but there was none. The chicken dishes were both really good. The chicken wasn't overly fried or breaded. It tasted fresh and had a good bite to it. I like the spicy garlic chicken a bit more because of the spice. The haka chicken was more of a sweet and salty flavor. Both were tasty. If I'm in the area I'll come back here.

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.
