Came here after I came into town visiting from California. Not from the area, my boyfriend and I weren't sure how it worked. I wasn't sure wether to sit ourselves or wait for the waitress to sit us. It would be nice to know what is expected. We were told to choose to sit wherever we would like. I got a feta and spinach dinner. It has a lot of food it comes with a flakey spinach and cheese with pita and sauce, French fries, and a Greek salad. The greek salad was good. The feta and spinach pastry was good but the spinach and feta wasn't favorable. Don't get me wrong it was decent portion but it just tasted like feta. The flakiness on it crunchy. The French fries were okay, they were bland and they didn't have crunch. My boyfriend like is food. He also got chili fries and said it was good. The place was very welcoming. We dined in at a windy and rainy night. Really want something warm. We found their special dinner menu and picked two dinners with soup. OMG, I regretted not taking picture of the soups we had. Chicken noodle and chicken lemon rice soup. They are super good!! Best of the best. That really entices me to learn how to cook them myself. Plus, the big bang chicken is sweet and crispy and juicy at the same time. I was surprised not having similar taste before. With the hot water they provided me with honey and lemon, I think they cure my winter chills. Really appreciated my bf discovered this cony island. I was a little disappointed in the quality of my food which was called as well as there was dirt And food on the blinds that were next to the booth I was sitting in. No soup Nazi here but the lemon rice soup I imagine was as good as anything found in the classic Seinfeld episode. The Saganaki app went well with the soup and keeping with the Greek theme we followed it up with the moussaka and Gyro dinner. Both were outstanding. We came in late in the evening with a group of almost 30 theatre students and chaperones. Our server, Hayley was THE BOMB! She worked the tables with help from other staff members. She was energetic, engaging and accommodating. A few mistakes were made along the way, but she addressed them quickly and efficiently. I been going to this leos on telegraph in taylor for over 10 years one of my favorite places to eat . Lately I'm starting to stay away from there I can't take my kids here anymore because of the girls that they have there . They really got bad in attitude, behavior, loudness. I was there on Saturday and the waitresses were talking and playing on their phones and arguing and cussing , and one of them blows her nose while people are eating , my kids don't need to be hearing what the they did the night before . We just want to eat and enjoy it and leave peacefully but they don't allow you that so I'm going to look for somewhere else to take my kids . And on top of that we went to pay and the cashier was to busy talking to one of the waitresses behind the register. I don't know if they changed owners or what but it wasn't like this . Tonight I received the best service from a waitress named Maria K. My son daughter and I came in around 7 pm said and she immediately showed asked us our drinks , took the order and left. Moments later she returned with our drinks and asked very politely if we were ready to order. She also added the evening specials, my children ordered and I requested a table salad with feta and Greek dressing, she asked if I would like the greek on the menu I said a small salad would be fine. While the meal was being prepared she asked if we needed refills and topped off my coffee. When the meal was ready she brought it out and placed it where the person ordered it and asked if the was anything else, my daughter 7 said yes please a little extra butter for her French toast, Maria brought the butter and said if there is anything else please ask. Midway thru the meal she came around to see if all was good, my son who had ordered the coney intended to take it with him, she unbeknown asked if something was wrong or if he would like some in place of his meal, he informed her it was all good that he wanted to take it home. She returned with the necessary containers to take our left overs home. It was refreshing to see a waitress with a smile, customer appreciation and just true professionalism, had to find in today's restaurant business. Very hit and miss regarding quality of food and service. This place seems to gravitate towards hiring the most ghetto people around down river. Servers love talking and yelling amongst themselves and rarely does that translate to interacting with customers with that same energy. The most irritating aspect for me personally however is their bacon almost always comes out extra fatty and chewy. If you want the best coney experience possible then go to holiday grill in dearborn. While they are inforcing social distancing and have plexiglas between the tables, they are not enforcing mask policies. Not with their patrons who walk in maskless despite the signs all over the doors. Also several of the waitstaff and cooks were wearing masks improperly. Believe it or not, this is one of my favorite spots to get a coney in all of Detroit. It's true! I've been yelping for almost a decade. Stopped in one Sunday headed to Cleveland. Stop by frequently on my way out of town. Great coneys, chili, soup and Greek salads.They also feature these Hani pita sandwiches. They're cheese and gooey and good. This is coney food and it's just like any other coney island you've ever had. There's nothing "amazing" about it. You're going to get mediocre, cheap food and depending on what time of the day it is, you might get a decent waitress. I'd say about 75% of the time we have gone, we've had an inattentive waitress who was more concerned with hanging out with the other waitresses by the cash register than tending to our table. The carry out service is what you can't beat though. You call, it's ready in ten minutes, utensils/condiments packed in the bag, and it's never wrong. read more

I honestly have nothing good to say about this restaurant. We were seated and did not see a server for 10 minutes. When he finally ordered drinks, I ordered hot water (I have a medicinal tea recommended by my doctor) and my boyfriend ordered a lemonade. We received our drinks and were ready to order. While I was ordering my food, her phone started ringing and she interrupted my order to walk away and answer her phone. She came back a few moments later and finished taking our order. We received our food fairly quickly but when she delivered the food to us, my boyfriend asked for a refill on his lemonade and I asked for a glass of water. She said okay and walked away. We waiting for about 5 minutes before we started looking around for our server. I just happened to look out the window and see her outside smoking and talking on her cell phone. Very displeased, we waved down another waitress to ask for our drinks because we were almost done with our food and we were basically dying of thirst. That waitress told us "sorry I'm not your server. You'll have to ask your waitress" and she goes over to the other side of the restaurant, sits down, and pulls out her phone to text or do whatever. I watched as our waitress comes through the front door, and go up to the food window and takes plates to another table without washing her hands after smoking outside. We were finished with our food at that point. We never got our drinks but she saw us waiting and she brought over the bill. On the bill it showed a charge of $1.99 for Hot Tea. As I said before, I ordered only Hot water which should not have been charged for. I didn't have time to wait for our waitress to come back so we went up to the counter to pay our check and I let that girl know what happen. She then told us that she does not have a "void card" and there's nothing she could do about it. VERY disappointed, I subtracted $2 from my tab and paid that amount Obviously we will not be returning to this establishment and I encourage the managers to reevaluate their staff expectations.
