So today looking for something different, I decided to stop here at Leo's to get something to eat. Leo's has a variety of items to choose from and the prices are pretty good. I decided to go with the Chicken fried pita. The pita came with lettuce, tomato, American and Swiss cheese. I decided to add some Ranch dressing and Honey Mustard. It was very tasty and the amount of food was good. Looking for something to add I added some Wing Dings that were cooked just right. They were full of flavor and they gave me a good portion for the price. While placing my order, the waitress remembered my order from before. I was totally shocked that she was accurate. She told me that she remembers faces and voices. Alexis, you rock! Very friendly and know the menu front to back. She is helpful to make suggestions if your undecided about what you want. When you go to a place where people remember you and what you have ordered I'm the past, it makes you want to come back. I'm looking forward to stopping by soon. We've been going here for lunch pretty consistently for about two years. In my opinion it's about the best Leo's downriver. My boss rarely fails to remind us that its mostly GFS food and he's not wrong. The waitstaff is like all female, and mostly on the cute end (for Taylor) of the spectrum, so that's a win. If the giant menu weren't daunting enough, there is a "Special Menu" too. The main difference between the two seems to be price. I'd be curious to find out what the logic is behind this concept. Some highlights (especially if you're into nacho cheese) include: the nachos supreme, stuffed pepper soup, or chicken finger pita. Pro-tip: If you're in here for lunch, know what you're going to order before she gets back with your drink. Otherwise, you will wait five minutes before she comes back. This place is just so average of an experience. Average-ness you can rely on, consistently. It's got that middle of the road experience you know and trust. read more

I keep telling myself I won't go back here but end up going and regret it every time. always wait forever for my food. The original Leo's opened up in Southfield on Nine mile rd. probably 30-35 years ago. No matter which one I've been to (they have many) the food has been consistently good. I love going to a restaurant that our favorites always taste the same - yummy. One-up with chili, onions and mustard, you can count on the hot dog having a nice crunch to it and everything blends in for a Detroit special that keeps us going back. The two of us share a small Greek salad with Leo's dressing, a bowl of chile with two spoons, 2-ups and the bill is around $12.00! Yep, we'll be going there for years to come. read more

Leo's is, for want of a better word, awesome. Their "famous" Greek salad is not to be missed, but it is their chicken gyro sandwich and chicken fingers pita that keeps me coming back again and again. Decent Coney Island food. I've only had breakfast here, but it's what you would expect. My only complaint is sometimes the waitresses can seem rude, and never come and check on you. Prices are decent and restaurant seems clean. I do prefer the one on eureka because it is newer and the waitresses are friendlier. read more

Always something missing, normally I get a salad, so Its missing the pita bread, or the dressing, or the fetta cheese on a salad that comes with fetta cheese ie Village Salad! Not too many places to eat at 2:00 in the morning anymore so they get points for this. The food is just ok. Maybe below average. I had chicken parmagian. The chicken was somewhat tough and burnt and the spaghetti was watery. Tasted ok though. My friends had no complaints with their choices. If you want to eat out in the middle of the night, it will do as there is little else open. If you are eating earlier in the night, go somewhere else. As far as area coney islands go - it's OK. The food is decent but not outstanding. Service - I have had better but I have had worse as well. We have been to both the Telegraph store and the new location on Eureka, and the service is a bit lacking compared to the other Coney's in the area. It's not that bad but some of the other Coney's wait staff seem a bit more attentive. One pet peeve we had about the Telegraph location years ago, before the state banned smoking, they put us in the sub par seating area of the restaurant and gave the smokers the best seats. Even in the non smoking area the smoke drifted over there so we could still smell it. Other places however were banning smoking back then - even before the state ban - so we kind of favor the places that sided with the non smokers back then and have not changed our dining habits that much since then. read more

This is by far the worst Leo's I've ever been to. The wait staff are not friendly whatsoever. I asked for a refill and got an eye roll in return. Not ashamed to say I love a great coney island. This one is up there, surprisingly. The last time I was here I wanted a philly, and breakfast. I asked the waitress if they had a philly omelette, she replied with a frown and said "No, I'm sorry... but I'll see what the cook can do for you." Ok, I'll take a shot at a yes rather than "No it's not on the menu". Not only did the cook make it for me, but it was one of the best philly omelettes I've ever eaten.
