Out of the three restaurants I've been to in this space, this is by far my favorite. I hope they stay a long time. Located near a busy corner of Noe, Le Quy is a welcome addition with comforting Pho, tasty vermicelli and hearty rice plates. We usually start with the shrimp spring rolls and get the Pho Tai (rare steak) which is a great place to start if you're new to Pho. It's an amazing comfort food and feels like love goes into it here. I've been on a lunchtime yoga and post-workout banh mi routine lately, so I was thrilled to discover that LeQuy was right around the corner from Yoga Flow Noe Valley, as I've been wanting to try LeQuy since I like Hem by LeQuy in the Mission so well. On the way to my recent heated yoga class at Yoga Flow, I scheduled a vegan lemongrass tofu and mushroom banh mi for pick-up right after class. I walked across the street after class, and the banh mi was already prepared. I took it outside to eat at the small table in front of LeQuy and the nearby bar before catching the Muni. The banh mi was neatly tucked into a small brown paper bag that acted like a protective second sleeve. I dug it out, snapped a quick photo, and surveyed the filling. I was happy to see real chunks of lemongrass tumbling out of the still-warm banh mi. It was quite tasty, although a bit on the dry side, which might be because I requested that the mayo be applied sparingly. I'm not a fan of gooey or soggy anything, but especially when it comes to sandwiches. The flavor was good, and the value for the price point was great for SF! Even on DoorDash, the price was still very competitive at only $11.50 before tax and fees, considering the city average is $12-16. read more

Winter is almost over and the soup season is less in play to some during the Spring. When it comes to soup it is always an all four seasons thing for me. Especially when it comes to pho. I always like enjoying a good bowl of pho and it's usually chicken pho I usually order. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in San Francisco which offer many different forms of pho. Although the Tenderloin is where you can find the most of the Vietnamese restaurants in San Francisco starting on Polk street, I wanted to try pho which had something similar to a tenderloin beef. There is one place in Noe Valley which has a wagyu Pho and it's called Le Quy. On a Noe Valley stroll I landed to one of the few Vietnamese restaurants in the area if not the only one selling pho. Inside there is plenty of seating. I ordered the wagyu pho. The broth and the noodles and wagyu all came separately and I had to assemble it like I was making hot pot. The noodles were fresh and had a good pull. The wagyu was tender. The broth was savory but the bowl was small and wished it came in a larger size. I also wished they had Bún bò Huế .Overall a good bowl of wagyu pho to the last drop. So take some time "off" if you getting a cold or a "cough" because it's time to get some tasty medicinal "broth"with noodles that are fresh and "soft" The Pho bowl is "full"of broth you must add the waygu meat that comes from a female cow not a "bull" and the only "rule" is that you need to eat with two chop sticks for the slurp noodle "pull" read more

Found this restaurant with a random nearby search, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Bun Rieu, and combo rice plate with grilled pork, egg, pork skin, and salad. I think the meat portion was a bit small in the rice plate, but it was flavored well. Bun Rieu was standard and the soup was very delicious. We also ordered a taro coconut milk sago dessert! Overall, this is a decent Vietnamese restaurant. The BBQ pork spring roll was quite thick with a lot of stuffing. The peanut dipping sauce accompanied the rolls well. The bbq pork was on the sweeter side, but the meat was tender. The pho broth had a stronger cinnamon taste than other pho that I've had. There was no wait for a party of two on a Saturday night. Pho isn't something I usually crave, but last week I found myself really wanting a warm, hearty bowl. I haven't tried many Vietnamese spots in SF, but I decided to give this place a shot. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me and seated me right away. The outdoor area looked nice, so I chose to sit there. It was a bit dim, aside from the hanging Christmas lights-- how festive! I had to use my phone's flashlight to read the menu, which I didn't mind. I ordered the regular pho along with a side of egg rolls, and everything arrived in under 10 minutes. The egg rolls were amazing, super crunchy and tasted authentic. The pho broth wasn't as flavorful as some places I've been to in San Jose, but after adding a little fish sauce, it hit the spot and totally satisfied my pho craving. Pho is unique and the flavors range broadly from the three Vietnamese regions and with the natural dispora/blends of cultures we find an abundence of delicious Sino-Vietnamese/Chinese-Vietnamese pho places in the city. **When I'm craving a more Vietnamese centered flavor profile, this is the ONLY spot in the city that I've found. I randomly ended up at their Palo Alto location awhile back and thus kept their other locations in mind. Being in the city often, I wanted to try this location there with my man and hopefully share a delicious food experience. Ordering a different pho dish everytime I've gone here and nothing has disappointed - the fresh noodles are on point, the meat is good, and the soup is delicious. Being from the south bay, it took me a really long time to apperciate the Sino-Vietnamese pho spots and while I'll still be eating at those place, this is the place for all my pho cravings (beef pho anyways). Give it a try whether you're Viet or not. You might love it or might think it's better but that not the best out there, who knows. After being swooped back from a long time away, I was craving pho (I was thinking here but didn't specify), my man took me here. He knew. I don't give out five stars often. I can officially claim that this is one of my favorite spots in SF. Their coffee, first of all, is unique and tasty. The form has a touch of creamy corn flavor. You NEED to try. It is the one with EDD. The pho is also fabulous. The broth is clear and not too salty. The clay pot rice is also incredible. I don't know everything about Vietnamese food, but they kinda adopted some elements from Chinese cuisines, which is genius. People here are so nice. We came here recently for my birthday lunch since I've been wanting to try this new Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood. The severs were really nice and brought us a high chair for our baby. The restaurant was very cute and modern. They even have a back patio. We ordered the fried calamari to share. And I thought it was really good. Not too much batter. And a good portion for two people. My husband ordered the beef rib bone pho. The broth was delicious and tasted clean. The meat fell off the bone. I ordered the chicken pho and thought it was very good. The broth was flavorful. Came here by accident around 630pm on a Wednesday - we were trying to go to the soft opening of their new location for their 20% off deal, but didn't realize that the location wasn't on maps yet. The inside is nice and modern, and pretty spacious, with a cute patio that was closed. -Fried shrimp & crab meat dumplings (10 for $14.95): we got this too share, and they werent too memorable - the filling didn't really taste like much, and it comes with a standard sweet chili suace for dipping. -Wagyu Pho ($23): I always hate when my pho broth gets cold too quickly, so the hot stone bowl was honestly really nice since it kept my broth warm the entire meal. The wagyu did help make the broth a bit richer and more flavorable compared to my friend's pho, but overall this wasn't anything special and I wouldn't get it again. We had to ask for the bean spouts/basil/lime because it didn't come served with the pho. Overall, LeQuy didn't really standout to me, and the food seemed a little pricey for what it was. read more

The enclosed patio allows you imagine you aren't in the middle of busy Castro but lunching under the shade trees. I loved the tasty Yellow Curry, and the Wagu Beef Hotpot was a sizzling delight. My husband and I came across this Vietnamese restaurant while walking through the city. It was small and intimate with low dim lights and open windows. We got seated immediately and we ordered the flank steak and bone marrow Pho with Vermacelli noodles as well as the BBQ pork rice place. The pho was so flavorful and the meat was just so tender. The BBQ pork had a great seasoning not too over powering. I also ordered a Lychee Sake and it was incredible. The two ladies working the floor taking orders and serving were amazing, so friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be going back. You must try this place and get the Wagyu Pho!!! The soup and fixings come separately so everything is perfectly cooked, the meat is tender and plentiful, and the soup is perfectly balanced. The broth is very gentle without overpowering salt or sweetness, which I prefer. I've tried other things here-- also good, especially the spring rolls-- but honestly the wagyu pho is the way to go. Lovely Vietnamese food spot in Noe! It's a new place, but it was still bustling on a Monday evening with friend groups and families. The interior is both spacious, bright, and calming with bar seats and booths. The menu is pretty limited on the vegetarian options (no veggie broth), so I ordered the Chilli Lemon Grass tofu. The food came out quickly, and the tofu was super well fried and well seasoned (though I wouldn't have minded stronger)! Came in on a weekend for lunch since I was in the neighborhood, and had had this place saved after seeing it mentioned on TikTok a while ago. Unfortunately, the pho didn't seem to match my tastes nor its price point. A shame because the ambiance inside the restaurant is rather lovely, especially being able to sit outside on the back patio on a warm afternoon. I'd ordered the brisket pho and asked to add tripe, which I didn't think would cost extra (or that much extra) since there was a combination meat pho for just $1 more that included tripe, tendon, and raw brisket. However, I was surprised at the end of my meal to find that adding the tripe was an additional $6 for just a couple strands of tripe! I'd chosen to pay an additional 0.50 for the fresh noodles, which were okay. However, the soup I found rather lackluster. There was no depth, no savoriness. It was very light and slightly sweet. The usual plate of herbs and garnishments I found to be a bit sparse as well. My one bowl ended up costing $29 after tax and tip. read more

We started with their traditional Spring Rolls which contained shrimp and slices of pork with a peanut sauce on the side. The rolls were large and cut in half which equaled the size of four regular-sized rolls you would get anywhere else. They were fresh, well-made and delicious. I opted for the BBQ pork rice plate which included a salad, a small cup of soup, rice, and a generous portion of thinly sliced pork. The flavors made me very happy. The dipping sauce on the side and tubes of hoisin and sriracha on the table provided more options for even more flavor. The service was so friendly as many people have already written. We ordered wagyu beef pho and the special clay pot rice with BBQ shrimp and BBQ pork. Both items came very hot and fresh. For the pho, the rice noodles was a very small portion but good amount of beef. The claypot rice also had little rice but a good amount ingredients. Came here around 7:30pm on a Monday night and got seated right away. I saw this spot on tiktok and really wanted to try their special soup - the Wagyu beef one! I heard it's like a deconstructed pho where you get the meat separately and can cook it in the soup broth to your liking. I wanted to order this but they said they were sold out for the day. So I ordered the beef combination pho instead. The broth was very tasty, a little on the sweeter side but once you add lots of basil in it, it balances out the flavor. The meats were cooked well, super tender. The pho noodles felt a little hard, almost like the texture of noodles when they are a day old.
