Love this place. Been here 4 times now. My bf and I love coming here because of the rules. We know what we are booking when we come here. It's very quite. Small and kept very clean. The staff is small but they work hard. We always have a welcoming front desk person and truly feel at home when we come. They don't allow outside alcohol which means no craziness and drunk people disrupting your oasis get away. Pool is clean, perfect temperature, and perfect size! One time we were greeted with otter pops!!!such a lovely touch. We love this place for that. It's not for everyone. The beds are so comfy. I have even tried to make my bed at home as comfy as theirs and it still isn't the same. We love everything about this place and will be loyal customers for life. read more

Do not spend your money here! Upon check-in, I was berated, belittled, and talked down to by the front desk worker, Patty. I have never in my life been talked to like that by anyone at a hotel or resort. When expressing my concern for the way she spoke to me, she doubled down and got to the point of almost yelling at me. It got to the point where I didn't feel comfortable staying the night there. I didn't even check into the room, I just left! Les Cactus, you should be ashamed of yourself for treating paying guests that way, especially after traveling for hours to get to your property! Patty may need some better training or perhaps a new career. I cannot believe she is allowed to speak to customers in such a way. read more

This hotel is a complete gem! This is the best hotel in Palm Springs. Not only is the decor adorable but the rooms are clean and the bed and pillows are so comfortable. My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay there. It is very small - probably 25 rooms or so. They do not allow outside alcohol, which we thought was kind of weird, but we knew that before we went, so we were aware of it. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our room had an attached kitchen. There is a refrigerator, but no stove, so it really acts as more of a bar area, which is kind of weird since you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol. LOL. They provide a complimentary breakfast. It is basic, but very good - oatmeal, yogurt, granola, fruit, croissant, coffee, etc. The lobby is very convenient and they do have a variety of canned alcoholic drinks available for purchase. We hung out at the pool mostly. It is fairly small, but we never had trouble finding lounge chairs. There is water and ice available poolside and there are always fresh towels. It is very quiet and they do not allow groups of four or more, which is exactly the type of atmosphere that we were looking for on this trip. Overally, a very nice stay. read more

Came here after another hotel overbooked us, and holy heck did we luck out. The staff at Les Cactus were charming, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our time special. After we told them about the other hotel messing up our reservation for our anniversary weekend, we went straight to our room and there was already a bottle of rosé there for us on ice with a Happy Anniversary card! Still no idea how they got it in there that fast. The place is extremely well-designed, the pool and hot tub are great, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast croissants remarkably delicious. And their coffee was clearly high-end. We expect that we will be returning to Les Cactus as our home base any time we come to Palm Springs. If we have one recommendation: Bikes are available on a first-come first-serve basis, but only for two hours at a time. Thats really only enough to go to the town center for a meal and come back right away, and not enough time to linger around, grab a drink, spend half a day. Having more bikes available with a longer rental time would be fantastic, as the only drawback for Les Cactus is not being directly on the main drag (but very much in biking distance). I stayed here with two friends for our first trip to Palm Springs. We were immediately in awe of Les Cactus - super cute, aesthetically pleasing, a spacious room that was comfortable for the three of us to share. We found the people working here to be very friendly when we arrived, and overall we were super happy to be here. I wish I could end my review on a positive note because this place really is lovely, but given what we experienced I feel it is my responsibility to warn other groups - especially groups of women - who are planning to stay at Les Cactus. The first day we were at the pool we saw an older man peering into one of the hotel room windows. At the time, we assumed it was his room. He then walked past my friends and I and ran his hand down the side of my friend's body. He pretended it was an accident, but it was super uncomfortable. He then sat down at the lounge chair right next to us, despite the fact that there were plenty of other chairs available. We then got into the pool and heard him make a comment to another guest about how pretty the three of us were. At this point, we were extremely uncomfortable and reported the incident to hotel staff. They said they would handle it, and we waited in the pool, as we were afraid to get out with him staring at us. Despite our efforts, they did essentially nothing and waited for us him to leave on his own before taking any action. We later found out that they called the cops and told him not to come back, but I find it completely unacceptable that they allowed him to sit there and watch us instead of confronting him. To make matters worse, it turns out this man was not even a hotel guest. He had come over from Exotic Dreams, a Swingers Resort across the street. Outside guests are not allowed at Les Cactus, so staff could have very easily gone up to him and asked where he was staying and get him to leave. The staff claimed they were not sure whether or not he was a guest, but I would have hoped that assaulting someone would merit some line of questioning, regardless. I spoke with management when we were checking out because I wanted to be sure they understood the severity of the situation. Supposedly they will be having a meeting about how to handle such instances in the future (such as taking action in the moment instead of waiting for the individual to leave by their own accord). I also suggested that they implement a wristband system to make it easier to see who is and who is not a hotel guest. They gave us a small discount for the "inconvenience" and two free hats (yay us!) but I hope that they learn from this and make changes to to ensure that this - or something worse - does not happen in the future. I wanted to share this review so that others staying here are aware of their surroundings. While we found the other guests here to generally be respectful, there are several rowdier resorts in the direct area. So with the lack of security here, it is important to stay vigilant and keep this in mind when you are deciding whether or not to stay at Les Cactus. Ultimately, I really enjoyed Les Cactus, but I cannot in good conscience return or recommend that friends stay here until they show that they take their security and the safety of their guests seriously. read more

This hotel is creepy, mismanaged, and uses surveillance cameras to spy on guests and in some cases, threaten them for any number of infractions. Guests are forced to sign a three page contract with rules not even listed in the website. PLEASE: research other sites for reviews and know that many of the positive ones are bloggers/influencers who were compensated. Don't be cheap: avoid this place at all costs. read more

I keep meaning to write this, as this is truly one of the city's hidden gems. Recently I acquired a new desert home and it needs a sizable remodel, so I need a great home base when I'm in town every week to two weeks. Nothing has made me feel more comfortable or welcome than Les Cactus! Set around a charming poolside courtyard, this downtown adjacent neighborhood charmer is safe, walkable, and has the most amazing staff. Every detail has been thought through, and even before you can think of the question or need, the answer has been served up for you in the most chic and stylish (but never bougie)way. Even though the design is fantastic, it's not over run with influencers, but rather a fabulous diverse group of guests where anyone and everyone can feel great about being there. The accommodations feel more like spacious cabanas than rooms, and even though there's no restaurant on site, their generous breakfast basket gets you rolling and the options nearby are endless. This place is so cute!! I came here for Valentine's Day celebration and the place is pretty empty due to Covid. We had the whole pool to ourselves it was heaven on earth. This place has the cutest decor, the rooms are super clean as well. They offer a free picnic basket for breakfast that had muffins and bananas in it. They also have free coffee, they have free bikes you can rent as well, into town for dinner. Our pre-arrival with Andy was welcoming, informative and he did a great job at accommodating our requests. The property is flawless from front door to back door. We have stayed at Les Cactus on two separate occasions and it is such a relaxing place to stay. The grounds are kept immaculately clean and there is no better place to soak up the Palm Springs sun. The staff is very accommodating, the rooms are comfortable, the pool area is beautiful, there are plenty of places to sit, and the breakfast is super tasty (and tasteful). This is a super classy, but super relaxed place to stay with a highly curated aesthetic. This was the worst customer relations experience I've ever had at a hotel. The woman who called to confirm our reservation was rude to us and 2 other couples . She even told a friend to "shut up". I was hoping to resolve that, and the fact that the room smelled like a sewer with management rather than writing a negative review. After a week I have not heard back. We decided to go on a quick getaway to Palm Springs and saw a great deal at Les Cactus.  It was everything and more than we expected.  Linda greeted us in the "lobby area" which was a very cute Instagram worthy cottage type place.  Everything was new and clean!  Linda told us the hotel had just opened up in February 2020.  She was so nice telling us about the property and she gave us this cute one bedroom suite near the pool.  The entire place was deep cleaned and we felt very comfortable staying here especially with Covid going on.  The pool only had a few guests and it was quiet and relaxing.  Breakfast was croissants and coffee near the pool. We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the staff for their hospitality.  Definitely will be telling friends and will be coming back! read more

My friend and I spent a night here in early March (before the world shut down) and it was exactly what we had been hoping for. The hotel is located in a great part of Palm Springs with lots of restaurants and fun stores nearby. We couldn't believe the place had only been open several weeks at that point! The decor of the hotel (the lobby, kitchen, pool area) was so whimsical and well thought out. In fact, I was a little surprised that the rooms were a little sparse in comparison. Nonetheless, our stay was fantastic. Highlights include: -bed was extremely comfortable -pool area was so relaxing (there is a hot tub as well) -bikes available to use -a kitchen with snacks -little breakfast treats There were just a few others staying when we were there since the hotel is new and we were there midweek. I can't wait to go back before everyone finds out what an awesome place this is. Many better places to stay in Palm Springs. Only pro was comfortable bed and good water pressure. Dog policy allows dogs under 35 lbs. but a Great Dane and German Shepherd were guests when we were there. Not sure if anyone has seen an adult Great Dane under 35 lbs. but they don't exist. Towels were flimsy and only one large one in the room. Cheap toilet paper. Soap and shower gel pumps don't work. No soap at the bathroom sink so they think washing your hands with only water is a good idea in a pandemic. Light on the patio has no switch and you have to literally screw the lightbulb in to make it work. Hot tub was cold and when I complained the lady at the front desk could not figure out how to turn on the heat. Not a luxury hotel so if you want a place with motel like amenities but want to pay a luxury hotel price for it, stay here. If not, stay away. read more

My boyfriend and I recently spent the New Years holiday at Les Cactus. We had an amazing stay from start to finish! The room was super comfortable and roomy, and we loved lounging around the picturesque property. The pool and spa were the perfect temperature for a nice dip, and we enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening. Our only regret was not staying longer! We had an AWESOME stay at this super cute boutique hotel! We wanted somewhere super SAFE but relaxing and they did everything right! The hotel is classic Spanish bungalow style reminiscent of the Bel Air Hotel and Beverly Hills Hotel with it's pink hue and vertical stripes. The rooms are modern, crisp, clean bohemian chic. After a bad experience at a restaurant in town that felt unsafe we came back to the hotel and got to talking with Jackie who worked the lobby (and everywhere! We constantly saw her helping maid staff and running around the hotel) and when we told her we had a bad night at a restaurant on our 4th Anniversary she said "Let me make up for it a little with a bottle of Rosè on us" so sweet!! Her hospitality made all the difference in the world to us and we were very grateful. The hotel had such a peaceful energy. The pool was perfect and the gardens beautiful. Don't miss out on the rooftop balcony overlooking the pool and the citrus trees everywhere. And the cute little baskets of continental breakfast. Those croissants were BOMB! They're pet friendly so we brought our dog Milk who loved peeing on every tree (sorry he's a male). Poolside music was perfect. We will definitely be back! read more

I chose this property based on various factors, one being having a year round pool. When I arrived nobody informed me the pool heater system was not in function. I attempted to go afternoon swimming and the water was freezing even though the outside temperature was 103 degrees. I brought it up to a representative and was quickly discredited. I was told it wasn't working but that no other hotels in the area turn on their pool heaters around these times. I explained to him that year round meant the pool was kept at a comfortable temperature all the time. He replied, yea I've worked at other hotels where the pool is kept nice. He said he had touched the water earlier and realized how cold it was but when he attempted to heat it up the system failed which I highly doubt "just happened". That's it. No I'm sorry. No here let me give you a free drink. No let me offer you credit. Nothing. He said I'll bring it up to my manager tomorrow. Well, no one ever addressed this further with me. Not one apology. I want what I paid for. Also, the rooms had no window ventilation. It was so stuffy. The restroom had NO exhaust so.... yeah, not good. The pillows were horrible. No support. The kitchenette had NO utensils, cups, plates etc. No microwave. Also the rules were VERY restrictive. Definitely no pool floaties, not even any provided by them, so basically you can stand in the pool and freeze. Too quiet and felt like if you sneezed you might get kicked out. The pool is not 24hr, it closes at 9 and there's no outside alcoholic drinks allowed. No one greeted us with a complimentary drink and neither did we receive a bottle of wine as some other reviews have mentioned. No one walked around and offered us anything. My husband and I just got back from a two day stay at Les Cactus to celebrate his birthday. We absolutely had the best time ever. Florence checked us in and brought us to our room where there was a bottle of chilled wine and a birthday note for him. We walked along the gorgeous Taquiz river and biked to lunch in town and to the museum. Christine, who was in duty the next day, made us our breakfast in a picnic basket. The decor was to die for cute and the grounds were impeccably kept up. Had a lovely exchange with the housekeeper, Dora, who gave me such a sweet authentic smile as she thanked me for "the reciprocity of energy". It cemented the deal. Couldn't not go back if we tried. Only hoping that word doesn't get out too much, as we want to be able to get a room. read more

This place is very nice and beautiful, just like it shows in the picture. I have not much negative comments about the hotel itself, its very nice , clean and chic. One suggestion for whoever the owner/manager is that want to attract more people will be their management personnel. The employee in charge (black hair, latina woman, do not remember her name) is not very professional. I saw her talking over guests and raising her voice several times . This is just not something you don't do in customer service. She seemed to be a little racist too. Honestly, I don't think that person likes to work there. Look past the pink paint and it is a mediocre motel with cheap furniture and a shockingly rude manager. If you want privacy do not stay here. Thin walls, small pool and tiny lounge area. Cleaning staff is stepping over you all day. Even whispering everyone can hear you and you can hear every conversation. Not to mention influencers coming in and out all day just doing shoots. I do not have enough wonderful things to say about Les Cactus! My husband and I stayed here for one night back in September 2020 for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Let me tell you, one night was not enough to be able to fully enjoy this beautiful boutique hotel. First of all, and this was a surprise, my Mom (who lives in Maine) called and spoke with Matt the owner before our arrival. She wanted to treat us in some way. He was a huge help. He directed her to a place where she could have a cheese platter delivered for us ahead of time along with a bottle of wine and a few IPA's for my husband. Not only that, but Les Cactus gave us a complimentary bottle of rose and bag of snacks for our honeymoon as well. The room was beautiful and fun! There are large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the shower, which I thought was nice compared to the usual travel sized ones. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was also very cool, which was nice considering we were there when it was 118 degrees. The pool was so nice and relaxing and we noticed the staff continuously coming out to wipe down chairs and make sure that everyone was taken care of, which was nice to see with it being covid. Since it is a smaller hotel, it was great being at the pool at a peak time and it still not being packed (no kids either!). Every single detail of this hotel has been thought out. I mean literally every corner you look in is so cute and trendy and the Les Cactus branding is amazing! We had to purchase a hat :) The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We cannot wait to come back and for longer next time! We might make this our annual anniversary trip every year because we were so blown away by Les Cactus! read more

This cute, kitschy hotel combines the whimsey of Palm Springs laze with the comfort of a full service hotel. The attention to detail in decor is spectacular and the service is impeccable. The staff are warm and service-oriented, with even the owner Matthew taking care of travelers. Staff member Linda is nothing short of a wonder in always being one step ahead of guest needs. From beginning to end we were impressed. Being given cold bubbly drinks and French lollipops at check-in was just the beginning. They knew we were there for our anniversary, and surprised us with a bottle of chilled champagne and a hand written congrats note! But it didn't stop there. Staff member Jackie helped my boyfriend set up a beautiful proposal on their cozy poolside rooftop with a view! We will always remember Les Cactus as the lovely little place we got engaged! The delicious, complementary Parisian breakfast basket was also a treat. As was eating it under the citrus trees at cafe tables. Easy days laying poolside under the misters just feet from your room.
