Horrible, horrible experience!!! This (new) store manager at this Lake Forest, CA location, Joseph is very rude and cocky. Today, my husband and I stopped there to refill 2 cases of muriatic acid (8 containers) and 2 cases refill for liquid chlorine (8 containers). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told Joseph that the other gallon container I last purchased had a leak and the acid spilled. I also said that I had to rinse the container before taking it with me today for refill. I requested if I can get another gallon to replace the acid that spilled from the leaking gallon container. He immediate said "No."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He said I should have brought it back there the moment I found out. I told him, it happened just two days ago, and ask if he is expecting me to leave the house that very moment and bring the leaking container with the toxic chemicals with me so I can get it replaced. He said "Yes!". I replied and said that it doesn't make sense. He said, "well, that's what you should have done." Then, he also added "I want to make sure, we are on the same place, and I am the general manager here." I said, "I know you are, because your name plate says it." [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was very annoyed and said that "this is ridiculous!!!". We took our 4 cases of empty chemical containers back with us and left the store. Had the worst experience with this store yesterday (12/13/2021). I had purchased a couple of skimmer collars online and needed to return them as they did not fit my skimmer. I had gone to this Leslie's location (Mercury Rd, Lake Forest) to return them. On reaching them I was informed by the store representative that Leslie's does not do store returns for online orders. Having walked out of the store and called the customer service I found out that this wasn't true. I went went inside the store and made him aware that he is supported take my return and even showed him the policy online. But the guy refused to take my return. This is utter pathetic customer service with no regards to customer's time. No attempt was made on his part to rectify his problem and after lying to me the response changed to I will not take your return what can you do. I ended up making the return to the Leslie's in Mission Viejo. Will definitely stay away from this location and lodge a corporate complaint with the store. read more

We got a 8ft Inflatable Pool from Amazon and we needed to treat the water with chlorine. I've never owned a pool before so I had absolutely no idea where to even begin. I was told by a friend to go to Leslie's and they would tell me exactly what I needed. I called in ahead of time and Jon told me to bring in a sample of my tap water so they could test it and let me know exactly what I needed. We went in and met Jon and he was so great. John took the time to understand my pool concerns and set me up with everything I needed. I had just had the pool acid washed and refilled and was balancing the chems. The company that washed the pool said they added conditioner but the test strips said otherwise. So after adding the chems to the pool and realizing this, I called john and are you ready for this? He delivered the stabilizer to me on his way home! Who does that? If i have a question I just call him up and he tells me how to handle it. Nobody provides better pool supply service. The team at this location is great! Greg definitely helped me get everything I needed when my pool filter came off and emptied my pool. They started by getting me and name for someone to come look at my pool. When I didn't have the money to fix my pool the way that it needed to be, Greg worked with me to get the right paint, primer, acid wash and start up. When items we ordered didn't show up on time, he helped in finding another way. Every trip I made he was helpful. All of them were great help. Go to for my pool supplies. Had to get my Polaris repaired and was quickly diagnosed and fixed. When I picked up they also replaced the chord at no extra as it was pretty tangled. We haven't had pool weather for some time so didn't test till months later and it didn't work. Brought it back with the computer unit this time and that was another issue. I phoned Leslie's to ask if they have in stock an Ultra 9000 Blower 2 hp 240 volt, 2.5 amps for my spa. John Blanchard checked, said they didn't but he would research further for me. He called me back later, apologized for the delay because they are so busy, said he had found one close to it but it was a 2.5 hp which unfortunately is too much. He suggested a couple of things I could do to try to find one. He was friendly, efficient and a credit to the store. I was really impressed with his service. read more

How these stores even exist blows me away. While Home Depot sells everything for 50% less on chemicals and some pool supplies, while Amazon sells everything else up-to 80% less... I was looking for a pool gate latch that opens from the top- like a knob that you lift to unlatch- child proof, and has a magnet to pull the gate closed. Leslie wanted $180... HD- not available in store, but online for $130( different vendor), but Amazon has a variety to choose from $89 to $55.. and a used- open box in great condition for $35.. minus the screw. I'd look up pool supply stores first, or look at HD or Amazon if you can wait 2 days.. read more

I have an InTEX blowup hot tub, which by the way is incredible, and last time I was in Frank had me try something called " spa perfect "for cleaning my spa! I am new to owning a pool, so I have had lots of questions and needed all kinds of new equipment and chemicals. This Leslie's Pool Supplies store (#750) off of Rockfield has been amazingly helpful. I went from knowing nothing to being able to keep my very large 1960s pool in great shape. Every time I go in this store I get one-on-one assistance and detailed instruction on how to use whatever I am buying. Recently, an employee named Tracy took the time to go over all of their pool vacuums to help me find the perfect one in my price range and it is a life saver! He was so kind and informative, and definitely the reason I came back to this location to buy the vacuum after thinking it over. I will definitely keep coming back to this location. This is an update to my review of Leslie's Pool Supplies. After reading my earlier review the company wanted to know what they could do to rectify the situation. I asked that they send a supervisor to see the work that was done. After viewing the job, they took full responsibility for the delays and for the quality of the work performed. They offered to totally redo the job at no additional cost. The supervisor used my job as a opportunity to teach their employee of how the job should be done. He oversaw the job and completed it as promised. Although the job had to be done over, I understand that sometimes things don't always go as anticipated and appreciate a company acknowledging their mistakes and making them right. I recently started going to this location after deciding to take over the pool myself. On my first visit I met Phillip, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was coming in because I was having issues with my pool cleaner. It wasn't moving at all, it was at this point he mentioned that they do free labor on in store repairs and inspections because the problem it is having could be any number of things either with the cleaner itself or my pool equipment. He asked me about the filters when the last time they were replaced or cleaned and to go ahead and clean them or if they were really old replace them. If there were still problems bring the cleaner in. Well since I have a DE filter I went ahead and backwashed everything and the cleaner still wasn't working so I followed his advice and brought it in a few days later. Phillip was there and he happily took my pool cleaner apart. Showing me different things that were going on. He was very thorough, showing me the parts that had to be replaced and pointing out things that were most likely going to be problems in he next year or two. I didn't feel pressured at all to buy anything especially when he recommended upgrading the cleaner. He showed me the upgraded one of the one I currently had and went through a few other choices. I have to say usually when I need to buy new appliances I feel so pressured into just making a rash decision that sometimes I am not happy with what I get but Phillip walked me through all my options. I ended up buying a cleaner and my pool is the cleanest it has been since I bought the house. It works great and I guarantee you based on this experience that I will be going back for all of my needs. read more
