Being a new pool owner I'm trying to learn how to maintain my pool. I've come in 3 different times and been told that I'm doing things completely wrong and I'm going to damage my pool and equipment. Here's the thing.... I'm following the directions of the last person I spoke with at Leslie's. it is incredibly frustrating coming here. Each time I come I get completely different and opposite information from the previous trip. It's starting to make me think that these people are just guessing what to do and have no actual idea how to maintain a pool. All this place is good for is buying supplies and nothing else. I recently had a water test done a Leslie's pool supply in Diamond Bar. Robbie was on duty at the time, he is apparently a floater and this was my 1st experience with him. He is by far the most methodical person that has ever done the tests for me. Because of his process, I have the most confidence in the end result that I've ever had. Needed a quick disconnect for my Pentair pool sweep. Purchased the assembly here on 7/19/2015 for $40. Got home and discovered the o-ring was missing. Went back was told that someone had bought & returned the part I bought, and stole the o-ring out of the bag, and Leslie's reshelved without noticing. Part is useless without the o-ring. Pool sweep is useless without part. They said would order for me, 1-2 days. Checked in after 1 week...nothing yet sir, we will call you in 1-2 days. WATCH OUT FOR RETURNS! I bought a Green to Clean anti-alge chemical and did not need it. They would not take it back. They have stupid rules to benefit them and really dont care about you or your pool. Very hard to deal with. Also, incompetent when it comes to testing pool water. read more

My husband comes to the store often he's very happy with it says the staff is pretty friendly... however today when I accompanied him I did not like Allan's customer service skills. He just seemed to give off a negative vibe. Seemed annoyed. Apparently he asked when last time acid was put in pool husband said a month. Allen says "Were you on vacation?" With attitude. We purchased a pool filter here 1 year and 4 days ago. Leslie installed it and we were very happy til 2 days ago, the bottom of the filter cracked. It was poor timing to say the least, the house is going on the market in 7 days and the warranty was only for 1 year. We called leslie and they sent Afshin out. He was very professional, diagnosed the problem quickly. He said the part would have to be special ordered and would be here in 1-2 weeks. My heart sank and I told him my situation. He found a part , and cane back and had it installed in 2 hours. I don't know what magic him and his boss worked, but I am so thankful for their hard work and kind gesture. Got an email saying all pool shock was 25% off. Went to the store and they said it must be an online thing. So I went home and placed my order online. Two days later I received an email saying my order had been delivered earlier that day. I went outside and checked all over, checked all my security cameras and there were no deliveries made to my house that day. I called customer service, they said there was a long wait time and I could leave a message. I left a message and waited for a reply. Two days later, no reply received. So I called and waited my turn in line. The woman was so extremely rude and unhelpful she said there was nothing else she could help me with it was with another department for approval to send a replacement. Meanwhile I am still waiting for my order of pool shock and I am out the money I paid. If you are reading this, go the amazon route instead. read more

I went into Leslie's to get Chemicals to sanitize my new spa. They tested my water and sold me Bromine starter and Dry Acid. The Bromine starter goes with there Bromine tablets and can't be used separately. The tablets they didn't sell me can't be used with a acrylic spa as floating feeder will ruin the finish. So of course the Bromine starter is no good. My PH and Alkaline were fine so the Dry Acid is of no use. They were just trying to get rid of chemicals they weren't selling. The test strips they sold me were very inaccurate. I ordered a K600 test kit from Amazon that worked great to test the water. When I went to return the stuff they told me there is no returns on anything they sell. So they sell you the incorrect items then tell you they can't return them. There fining a corrupt way to get rid of items they can't sell. read more

Great customer service. Alex had several customers but greeted us upon entry. He tested our water for us, all the while explaining typical upkeep for a spa. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I will definitely be returning for any spa related needs! read more

I needed service on my Zodiac pool sweep and I was pleasantly surprised he was able to fix it on the spot, which saved me from having to come back to pick it up at a later date. Today I went in your Stanford ranch rd. Location and let me tell you I WILL NEVER GO IN THIS LOCATION AGAIN. There was a man that worked in there named Cliff, and he was the most rude employee I have ever seen. I will definitely not be bringing my business in this store again. He should not be allowed to ever help or be around customers if he is going to act the way he did to me. I have worked in the customer service field for the last 30 year's and would of been fired for treating the customer the way this guy did. His shorts are very dirty and your store manager should definitely say something about his embarrassing dirty clothes. If nothing is done about this I will be getting a hold of the local news to tell them about this employee of yours and the way I was treated. He also made me feel very uncomfortable by when I bent over to look at something on the bottom shelv I caught him staring at my backside. I'm a female and don't appreciate him doing this to me or treating me like I was just a stupid female. I was unhappy with with the ever rising cost of pool service, especially when every time I had a party the pool would turn green that Friday and pool service couldn't come out until the next week. I went to Leslie pool supply with a water sample. They took excellent care of me. Explained everything,wrote out step be step instruction, and the pool was perfect within 24 hours in time for my party. I now do all my own service and if I ever have a question I just call or stop by. I save money and always have a clear pool. read more

This store has a very service oriented person named Gary. I took my pool sweeper in to get repaired, and Gary was very knowledgable. He took it apart then and there, told me what needed to be repaired and gave me approximate costs. I have never been to a pooly supply store that I felt confident towards. I had a leaking heater manifold. Went in to talk to David (MGR) and Gary (Asst. MGR) they were super helpful in advising me on the potential fix for my problem. I ordered a drain plug and had it installed. Mark (installer) went above and beyond to limit my costs and thoroughly inspect my heater and other pool equiptment. These guys are so bad, they don't know what they are talking about, never call back, don't understand...here's my case - spoke with "Dave" about a Leslie's installed item which is broken (poor manufacturer design, should have lasted longer) but Dave delayed calling the manufacturer, then called them when I called him, he never got back to me, was off for two days when I called & the other person had no idea where Dave's paperwork was...it took 3 weeks to get any action from them. Sorry I even wasted my time. Dispatched diagnostic person was WORTHLESS. Might have been one of the worker's father's father...no diagnostic tools, didn't take the thing apart, eyeballed it, and then tried to see if someone else's bad part on his truck would work and he didn't know how to hook it up. Then said he'd order three parts and I'd pay for what I needed. I called a week later and the store never heard from this dispatched person! Calling the BBB on this one. Corporate office in Arizona was no help, basically said that's the way it is. I ordered off of ebay (not from Leslie's) and they attached written instructions with a 800 line for help. Got it working fast, about 60% less cost, same manufacturer. I believe that most of the people at Leslie's get jobs because they know someone, and I've found that those who get promoted are not college educated or knowledgable in business, customer service, or the pool industry. I believe that they guess at what needs to be done, which costs you time and money. Stay away from this store and the other one in Roseville CA. read more

i replaced my 10 year old hayward pump 12-14 months ago $ over 700.00 now 3 weeks ago the pump not working (talkedseveral people bearings out) so i go to leslies have it warranted, even spoke to 'hayward'' saying just talk to leslie's they will have record of it. well i did they cannot find any record '''really''' everything else i bought is there, so i took it in runs but gets really hot then stops, so talked to them in person in store on douglas, roseville, saying they do not see it ??? arg'''''' anyway said will talk to manager it's been 3 weeks not a call or email nothing bs, icalled them 3 more times all saying same thing talk to manager or willcall corporate office,i gave them serial #etc so should be able to find it. i have been buying products from them over 20 years now , never had issue untill now . i called again today explained situation tellsme he do somthing about it , so i will give them one last time to redeem them selve's if not i will never buy anything from them again. i looked on line i can buy another pump more h.p. for $150.00 wow'''''''''' talk about a mark up damn .ishould not have to jump through the fire to get good service so we will find out next week,,,,,,,,,, i hopethey will do the right thing otherwise i will be done with them ,,,,10/23/15.................. read more
