Had breakfast there not our first time there but Took out of town family there. First they are always slow bc they only have one good server. But my grand daughter ordered kids pancakes and when they put molasses it was full of ants and they got all over the pancakes. Once it was corrected they where trying to get us to pay for them so of course no English and it became a big mess owner got in and told us not to come back bc we probably did this everywhere we went. First we would go somewhere nicer if that were the case. But if you don't speak Spanish don't go there first and second if you want good fast serves not your place. Drove by saw a bunch of cars they were about to close but still let us in first time there got great service no attitude our waitress was super friendly. The owner came over and said hello. Came here for lunch to get a break from a rough morning. The girl at the register was so rude. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her. She forgot to add my lemonade onto my bill and when I told her about it she said "Well the minimum is $5" like what the heck you were the one who made the mistake in not charging me for everything. So she went and asked the owner and he "approved" it. The fideo I ordered ended up sucking too. Which just made my day even more crappy. I've only come in the past for breakfast tacos because they are good but I hate supporting a restaurant that has crappy customer service so will no longer come here. I understand that I'm one person and it won't mean much to them if I don't dine at their restaurant but maybe leaving this review would sway someone from having to experience the same thing I did. read more

The food was good, the decor is on the nicer side walking in. Not a whole lot to mention from the outside, don't let this deceive you. The two best aspects were the salsa rojo which is charred a bit for better flavor (a favorite) and homemade corn tortillas. So not happy with today's visit. Not because I wasn't greeted or the fact that my waiters took a little longer with our drinks. It was the fact that I was served chips and salsa but the salsa had a long piece of gray/blond hair in it . Not on top of it but inside the salsa. GROSS !! I told another waitress about the hair and to please take the fiod away and to advice the owner who is the cashier of the issue. My waitress or the other waitress never came back to say anything else about it , I had to ask what happened when the owner was advised she said she knows now. Ugh !! When I go to pay I ask the owner/cashier if she was aware and she said yes and that it was probably the waitress hair , I'm like how can that be if it was inside of the salsa. She then pointed to the cooks in the back with hair nets , and was not sure how the hair got there. My hair is jet back , and my moms hair is short and gray. So i made She she was aware it was not us . Again she came up with other reasons as to how it might have happened. I don't care how , I care that they remove it and stop serving the rest of the guess that was eating the same salsa I was served. Oh well I paid my full bill and left so upset. My family and I have passed by numerous times and it always seems to be packed so we finally decided to see what Leticias is all about! My daughter got the 2 beef enchiladas and 2 crispy tacos. She ate the two crispy tacos fine. Said they were good. But when she got to the enchiladas she had a different opinion. She said the cheese tasted funny and it didn't taste good overall. My husband got the enchiladas verdes. It look ok. Nothing special about the presentation, no garnish no nothing. Said the chicken was ok some flavor the verde sauce is ok a little bit spicy but nothing overwhelming. I got the Mexican plate which came which 2 beef enchiladas 1 crispy taco n rice beans salad. The crispy taco was good. The ground beef was mediocre. Not too much flavor and when I picked up the taco so much oil n juices ran out. LIKE ALOT OF JUICES CAME OUT!! The lettuce n tomatoe was good, fresh and crisp. The enchiladas also to me tasted a bit funny. I personally think it was the sauce they use. Not a carne gyisada type sauce but also not the enchiladas type sauce either. It was an orange red cream colored sauce that had a bit of a tang to it. Meat again to me is bland. Only salt n pepper it taste like. The rice! Omg I give the 3 stars based on the rice n beans alone. It did have so much flavor like authentic Mexican rice my mom made. The beans are really good and alot of flavor. My daughter tried some of mine and wanted a bean taco as well. Overall $27 for ok food. We won't be returning anytime soon and we definitely won't be writing home abt this! The service was a bit slow as well. It took almost 5 to 7 minutes to get menus and place out drink orders then another 3 to 5 minutes to get our 3 teas and place our food order. After that it was about a 10 minute wait for our food. Throughout eating was only asked once if we needed anything which my husband asks for more tea. By the end of the meal my husband and I were both out of tea and thirsty. We drank my daughter's tea. In a city like San Antonio, where you can find Mexican food at every corner, Leticia's stands out above and beyond. Hands down, the absolute best huevos rancheros I've had in years. My eggs (over hard) have been cooked perfectly every single time. No crunch edges, just delicious eggs, with a fully cooked yolk. The beans and papas are perfect. Ranchero sauce is flavorful and enhances, not overpowers the entire plate. The salsa served on the side is fresh and hot! Tortillas are dusty and fluffy. My new favorite breakfast dive, for sure. Leticias Restaurant was recommended by my Airbnb.com host for an authentic Mexican breakfast. I had breakfast here 2 days in a row. the first day I knew this would be good when I saw 3 police motorcycles parked out front and found the policemen dining inside. The first day I had the manager's special with eggs sunny side up. The eggs were nice and runny and easy to sop up with the homemade corn tortillas. my second day I had the machacado plate. I was not familiar with that dish so I looked it up on Wikipedia. From what i read it's a dish that originated in Mexico and is very popular in Texas. It consists of shredded dried beef scrambled with eggs and vegetables. It had a great beefy flavor and went really well with the salsa on the side. The wait staff are super friendly and kept my coffee cup filled. if I lived in San Antonio I would be visiting this place at least once a week. read more
