Katie was my server. Upon walking up not busy at all . I was seated immediately. Katie was friendly and welcoming. Two sides to restaurant, diner side with bar area and restaurant seating style. I opted for a table. Ambiance reminded me of Happy Days vibes. Old school posters of many characters and faces to remind you of the innocence of messages and jokes. Old school telephone booth as a picturesque prop. I loved the whole theme . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Diner area was clean and high top and bar seating was available. Outside patio as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a lemon drop for my drink , I don't want to complain about it but initially I did ask for a lemon drop and make it pretty and sweet. She brought it back strong and bland. Quesadillas fajita style was delicious no complaints. Katie did come and check on me so I was appreciative of that. Prices are reasonable and restroom is unisex and basic. Overall a good visit!

My husband was looking for somewhere different and found Letty Lou's. The reviews were mixed, but we decided to give it a try. First of all, I can't really figure this place out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ceiling makes it look industrial. The seating makes it look like a diner. And then there's the kitsch - old ads, etc, framed and hanging on sterile looking walls. There's no warmth in there. There is a random red telephone booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you walk from the room that's clearly a dining room, into the attached room, there's a bar. There are high top tables in there. It was empty when we got there and two guys were watching a game when we left. I'm not sure who bartends. Also, they close at 8:00 so the whole bar set up seemed odd. Our server was efficient. She wasn't unpleasant, but also not pleasant - just doing her job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is one bathroom there. It's for men, women, and it's also the family bathroom. It's literally a bathroom with a sink and a toilet and a changing table. It wasn't very clean - it needs a deep clean and then to be kept up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband got the fried chicken special and said it was too salty, but otherwise good. The skin looked way overcooked to me, but he said it wasn't bad. I ordered the Horse Shoe. I'd only had one once before and that was at a friend's house and I really liked it. This one, not so much. I ordered it with fries and they gave me tots. And there was absolutely no flavor. I had my husband try it thinking I was missing something, but he didn't detect any flavor either. We're always up for trying a new to us place and sometimes it's a miss. This was one of those times. We won't be back.

Fried chicken pieces with mashed potatoes corn and gravy. Sooo good

Great food and great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was visiting the area with a dog and very pet friendly patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ate there twice and both times I was very happy with my selection and waitstaff was very attentive.

Not sure if there's an upstairs but definitely a fun place. Love when my mocha latte has a blended chocolate flavor and balanced with the coffee. When you enter, it's very small but very well put together décor wise. Each area had signs that discouraged movement of their furniture and had its own kind of theme. I was meeting up with a friend and her daughter and unfortunately did not realize they had the typical café hours (closed at 2pm) so my visit was very quick (30 minutes) and I had to rush my conversation. I ordered an iced Monstera Mint latte and chocolate coffee cake slice. When the barista called up my order, I repeated my order asking if it's mine (they don't use a name system) and apparently *I* mispronounced MONSTERA because she turned her back and said within earshot to her coworker how I did not pronounce it correctly and why do people say it incorrectly. I am not a big plant person so excuse me for not knowing how every single plant name is pronounced. I know people vent at work, but it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of my visit, so I was glad it was almost time to leave before they closed. Vent after customers leave if you have to.... Anyways, my MONSTER-AH mint latte was good, but the chocolate coffee cake was a bit too dry for me. And service could have been a bit more professional in my opinion.

We were welcomed in and got in line to place our order. The case of pastries is fun to look at! We ordered and sat down to wait. Our coffee and food were good, but having been there before, we knew they would be. What I enjoy just as much as the menu items, is looking at the beautiful clothing that some of the women wear. I don't know all the correct words for the traditional clothing they wear and don't want to be disrespectful and use the wrong words! But some of them are absolutely gorgeous! Some of the men also wear their traditional clothing. I make an effort to not look too much, but some of the garments are hard to look away from! Go for the coffee and pastries, and enjoy seeing the traditional garments!

I'm not sure what this place even is, despite having dined there yesterday. It serves breakfast,…read morelunch and dinner, and doesn't seem to specialize in anything in particular. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.
