I wish i could give negative stars!!! I went to Emily Rasmussen because a co worker recommended her. Worst mistake of my life..I had beautiful long healthy hair that i had been growing out from a Short shaved cut for 6 or 7 years now. I paid for bellami fusion extension's. My old hair dresser had taken his time gently turned my hair into a perfect blonde..Emily when i went to her to do just my roots and re instll my extensions that fell out.. she overlapped the bleach and broke off ABSOLUTELY ALL OF MY HAIR underneath on the sides ALL OVER my hair was falling out in handfuls..now i have paid her $180 for roots and installed the ones that fell out but the take out and install of the extensions before that was a whole lot more . Hundreds and hundreds of dollars!! Probably close to a thousand dollars from hair purchase install take out re install and root touch up..All wasted and now even more money being spent on wigs. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Came to have my roots touched up blond by Iolana Estrada and left extremely upset and disappointed. After she dyed my whole head a dark brown color after I repeatedly told her I wanted to keep my hair blonde and just have the roots dyed. She proceeded to refuse to fix it and tell me she wouldn't help me fix it. Horrible customer service and service. If you do go get your hair done I suggest you inform her 10+ before you get there and 15+ more when you get there or you'll be leaving like me. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. I found NOEL through Ig and I was intrigued with the work I saw on her page. I reached out to her inquiring about setting up a possible consultation and she asked me to send her a picture of my hair. I was SHOCKED how quickly her demeanor changed upon receiving the picture. Once she saw I was a woman of color she got extremely cold and condescending. She finally proceeded to tell me that I could find a different salon where I'd fit in better with people who are "more my type" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! More my type? Are you saying I'm only welcome at a salon that caters to only people of color? I've never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable from a person I was trying to not only pay but SUPPORT. I was appalled and disgusted at the same time. I can't speak for the rest of the staff but the way she handled this situation is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. I'm also guessing the business is ok with it since I went back and reviewed her Instagram and didn't see one single person of color anywhere in her hair pictures or personal pictures. I'm just beyond disappointed that people are still able to treat others like this and get away with it. You Noel should be ashamed as well as the people running this business who let an employee continue to work there who has a grotesque mentality and actions such as the ones I had to experience. I made an appointment here and asked for the best men's hair stylist they had and said I was willing to wait for the appointment. I have very hard to cut hair and was very reluctant to try a new stylist since moving from San Diego. I had to wait 4 days for the appointment but they gave me Bree whom had many good reviews here on Yelp. When I arrived at the salon I was told Bree had to take a regular and I was assigned a different stylist. That right there is utter bullshit. She was without client the entire time I was there, something I guess they hoped I would not notice. This stylist had less than five years experience. She did not know how to handle my style of hair and at the very end of the appointment and made three giant cuts to adjust for the fact she had not removed enough volume. . . . on the left right and back of my head she left a 4" Shelf ( a cut to remove volume before it is blended with smaller trimmings to work with a given hair style). Two weeks after I drove back to my Stylist in San Diego and she was floored that not only was I charged but I was let out of the salon looking the way I did. I will absolutely never go back to this money hole. And a note to Bree you might want to check a management that screws you out of Multi year clients to accommodate newbies with out care to customer service. read more

I was recommended Trea by a friend of mine and I decided to treat myself to a facial now I want to go back all the time even though it's not necessary. I have been dealing with acne since I was a young girl and after trying so many skin care products, foods, and medicines I gave up on my skin. I wanted to hide it more than show it. Being new to the area, I found myself sitting in Catherine's chair. I'll try to make this short...the first time I walked out after 5 hours of her trying to fix what she had done. I had given her the exact Brand and formula from my previous stylist. She chose to use something different. Without cross checking, prior, that the brands cross checked to be the identical color. She also consulted with the owner Vicki during this fiasco. I left with 4 shades darker roots, scattered, uneven color, only because anything more at this point would be at risk to my hair. I paid 240$ for this. She assured me she could and would fix it. Her reason this happened in her words? "It was a bad tube" and assured I'd be returned to what I walked in and sat with. I trusted. I mean she's a professional correct? I can live with this for a couple weeks. That time came. At the end of the appointment after expressing my worries (plural) through out the appointment, with one of her many assurances, "It's just because it's wet" for one. I walked out with 4 different colors in my hair and a solid color in the front and a different color in the back for looong roots, over an inch and so uneven in places even longer roots.. My hair was a beige blonde with highlights when I walked in. I cannot speak about the other girls in the salon. It appears to me there are many positive words for them. But I can speak specifically for Catherine. I can also say I considered taking this to the owner knowing the minute she saw, and recalled previous appointment she'd be as disgusted and in shock as I was. I "chose my battle wisely" and did not. Bri is by far the best stylist I've ever had!!! I am autistic and have a hard time letting anyone cut/style my hair, but she is compassionate, a great listener, and honest!
