Lamb chop plate is a masterpiece. It's really rare to find a dish that has everything good. The lamb is perfectly seasoned and cooked medium as requested. Salad and dressing are good. Bread is good. I ordered takeout from here and this was my first time having Turkish food and it was pretty good. I got the Asnaf plate (minced beef kebab on rice) with a side of salad. Finally tried it after eyeing it for a while. We had the kebab mix for a whole family and every single one of the grilled meat including the lamb chop was tender, juicy, well marinated and perfectly cooked. The rice was flavorful as well. We stopped for weekday at lunch for takeout. Not exceptionally busy. Takeout menu has a very limited selection. Got two Adana Wraps to go. The grilled meat in the wrap was well flavored, seasoned and tasty. The whole wheat bread wrapper was dry and a bit stale. The dressing is very sweet and tasted like "bottled" Russian salad. Wrap served with chopped raw purple cabbage in it. These are not flavor enhancements at all. The French fries were barely cooked and it looked rushed to get out. We live five minutes away and fries were cold when we got home. All this was for about $11.00 per serving, x 2, wraps only. With expense, poor results and limited menu available to takeout/delivery, I don't think it was a good deal. Maybe eating in is better. Meh! read more

Finally had a chance to try Lezzett Cafe this evening. Had the Dinner Buffet $15 to - go. We ran into a hiccup during at the cashier when the weighing machone/sensor didn't pick up right- none the less they were kind enough to give me a pair of baklava for my inconvenience, and it was appreciated especially since I had an impatient kiddo with me.... Ok, so the food...kofta was great, chicken kobab scrumptious, hummus was perfect! Can't go wrong with anything on the buffet menu. Customer Service was excellent. Nice young gentlemen, very helpful and polite. Nice to see teens support small businesses and take their jobs seriously- so thanks guys for your great service. Desserts...Baklava was soft and fluffy. My husband and I drove past this little place one day and swore we would stop in. Yesterday was that day. There is ample parking. It is clean and well maintained on the exterior. Interior decorations were well planned out and not too flashy. The lighting was not too dim. I liked that a lot. Many Turkish restaurants I have visited have very dim lighting. The waiter was ok. He did not fill up the water glass, but he was readily available for refills. He watches the table from afar for your cues. He did check on the table after the appetizers then again after the meal to make sure it was as you ordered. The quality of the food was impeccable. I ordered the grape leaves. My husband ordered hummus. I am a grapeleaf snob. Really. I am. My step father is from Turkey. His mother made the best grape leaves I have ever tasted. There was no getting caught in the vein of the leaf. They were so tender! Her rice stuffing was a bit more firm, but that comes from the luxury of making them from home and serving rather than making from a restaurant to wait for people to come. The texture of the leaf is what was important to me. It was perfect. The flavoring inside was wonderful as well. There was a good quality to the hummus. I have often wondered how people could mess up humus, but they do. Too much seasoning. Too thick, too runny. This was not like that at all. It had a wonderful "sticky" and consistent consistency. That is, , there were no lumps, and it wasn't watered down. The little dollop of olive oil on top was perfection. The bread was served warm and pre-cut. Now for the main course. My husband ordered the grilled lamb shank and I ordered the chicken. Both meals came with rice, a side of bread and sauce. You had a choice of salad or grilled vegetables. The shank was literally the best by far I have ever tasted at a restaurant. Period. The seasoning was just perfection. There were 4 thighs of my chicken. Both my husband and I had ample food. They were not skimpy in the least. The food was nothing short of delicious. The seasonings were perfection and the meat was so tender on both dishes. Tender lamb shank is very hard to come by. The lamb was cooked through as well. We finished up with baklava for desert. The baklava came with a free hot tea. Look. This was literally the ONLY thing they made that I found something wrong with. Rather than Kato syrup, honey is what I was looking for. The base was also very, very soggy. I got the pistachio baklava. The hot tea was fantastic. I thought of dropping a star for the baklava, but really felt it was insignificant in light of the quality of food. I have visited many Mediterranean restaurants that claim excellence with Turkish dishes. This little "mom & pop" place has them beat hands down. It was extremely affordable. Very reasonable. First visit, also took home the best Falafel I've ever eaten, no joke. Stopped eating Falafel a long time ago, too stiff and dry. The courteous and helpful wait person, suggested the Falafel, he even cooked me a fresh, hot sample complete with Tzatziki & Hummus, this guy is a salesman. Ordered an appetizer of Phyllo with feta and basil, so delicious! For the entrees we got the sausage and cheese pide and the lamb chops. Nothing was left of these meals, so delicious and filling! Meet is good, pies are excellent but service staff are too green. They wait until you leave to buss tables. They do not know how to offer or bring the food..they do not know how to serve Turkish tea either Get better service team or train them to server guest. Stopped by for a late lunch in a Sunday afternoon. As expected it was light. However service was friendly and prompt. I started with mineral Turkish water and a shepherd salad. It was fresh and tasty. Later on the Adana Kabab came, rice was flavorful and the meat grilled to perfection. The grilled vegetables were also amazing. Given the quality of the food dessert is mandatory. I expect it to be excellent like the rest of the meal. I can't comment though because I wrote this review while waiting for it. read more

That was one me of the beat meals I have had in a while. We started with the babagaonush, which was wonderful, and two fatayers, a spinach and a cheese. The spinach fatayer was probably my favorite thing we ate. The dough was made by hand, the spinach was buttery and seasoned, yum. Then I had the grilled chicken thighs with rice for my meal. Again, such amazing seasoning, the chicken melted in my mouth. The staff was extremely friendly and recommended the kadayif for desert. It was so light, I felt like I was eating a pastry cloud. I went to Lezzet Cafe for my daughter's bday celebration. I ordered lentil soup which was wholesome and very tasty with lemon and crushed hot pepper. On the side, we ordered hummus and lahmacun. Lahmacun was served very uniquely on a wood board with sliced onion, parsley and lemon. To check the taste, we ordered veggie pizza/pita style. It also got passing score from me. For the main course, we ordered gyro, grilled meatball and chicken. I was very happy to taste chicken very juicy and cooked well. New CHEF was doing very good job in the kitchen. Lastly I drank hot Turkish tea which was cherry on the top. I strongly recommend this place and I will definitely come back. read more

Came here for lunch on Monday just after they opened. Walked in to an amazingly friendly owner and chef that greeted us and sat us at a table near the door. The owner gave us complimentary hummus that was absolutely amazing, best I've ever had. Order the gyro plate which is the Monday special and came with dolmas and soup. Good Lord almighty, I now have to drive across town to slap my mother it was so exquisitely prepared. I highly recommend this place for any occasion as the restaurant is extremely nice and clean. Since we're middle eastern and we moved here not long ago we were recommended to try this establishment and it was just ok. The server didn't know much about the menu and the various dishes. Just seemed to be lacking the certain spices and spice of middle eastern fare. We had to ask for a spicy sauce and it was a challenge for them. Two attempts and we were given something that was spicy but had no flavor. The bread was not authentic either. Just pita you can purchase at Kroger. For three of us our dinner was $75 plus tip.
