Really delicious food, good service! We had the Sigara Boregi which was crispy and creamy and just great. The eggplant caviar is named in a fun way and it's a good dip for pita bread. When we ordered the falafel platter, we didn't think much about if it was vegan (one friend who went is vegan) but the waiter, very kindly, informed us it has egg in it! So, she had to order some grilled vegetables instead. Not many vegan options besides some appetizers, sides, and fries. I got the lahmacun and it was excellent! Never had it before, pleasantly surprised as to how savory, perfectly spiced, and delicious it was! The falafels, despite not being vegan, are unlike any I've had in a good way. Crisp and tasty! I've ordered their large platters on several occasions to feed a large group at home - visitors have always been impressed. They were so accommodating for our large lunch party. The food tasted great! We got one of the platters. It was large and definitely could be shared between 3 people generously. The platter came with tzatiki sauce but I think I would have preferred hummus or an option for multiple dips. We also tried the sucuklu pide and it was delicious! First time trying Lezzet Cafe and the highly recommend. The service was exceptional and food was fantastic. We had the humus and babaganoush for appetizer. For entrees we shepherd's salad, lamb skewered kebab, chicken wrap, and lamb chops. Wish we had tried this place sooner. We will definitely be back. The only thing to improve on is the restroom. This is a neighborhood restaurant by my daughter's place. It is family owned and run. We both share a love of good tabouleh and this is the place that makes a great version. I would have preferred the tomatoes to have been in larger chunks, but this was very good. The atmosphere is laid back, family oriented and very clean. Our family had never dined at a Turkish restaurant before, so we were a little nervous about what to expect. We got to Lezzet pretty early for dinner, and the restaurant was almost empty. Two young waiters came to seat us and immediately eased our anxiety. They were charming and helped with our dinner selections. They told us our choices would talk some time to prepare so our expectations were managed, and the food came right on time. The food looked amazing, and was served with a little ceremony that made everything seem magical and delightfully foreign to us. Everyone at our table loved every bite, and the portions were very generous. Although we were thoroughly stuffed, we ordered a desert to share, and it perfectly topped off a wonderful dining experience. We look forward to returning. Nothing too fantastic, but overall a good place to get Mediterranean. Honestly, the price is the draw here (why can't I get good Mediterranean for less than $12 a plate?!) and the portion sizes are good. I got the Tavuk Shish-Chicken Skewers plate, which was great. Giant pieces of tender chicken. Even though the pictures only show four pieces, I got about 5 or so pieces which were too big to eat without cutting at least in half. My wife got the Adana Kebab Plate (the beef kebabs) and they were pretty moist and tender. She said it was what she was craving when she ordered, so I think they got the job done. Each order came with a side of yogurt Tzatziki and a pickled salad. Both of which were great next to the meals. There's a heaping portion of rice, which was nicely cooked, and a doughy, dense triangle of bread. The falafels... were dense. I don't know how else to put it. They're not greasy, which is a plus, but they are very thick and not fluffy at all. Makes me think that they baked the falafels. Tastes doughy and not really satisfying. Honestly, the bread and the falafels had very similar textures. Not worth the order. At least the hummus the falafels came with was good. Overall, I would go again if I had no where else to eat Mediterranean. Good food, but not as satisfying as I would like. read more

The chef here is one that's been on the metroplex for a while. I'm glad he's at this location where I can go often. They have a great doner meat. It's the real.slices of meat, not the ground meat used for gyros. The freshl y baked bread is amazing. In the picture attached I'm enjoying an item not on the menu, it's a special order. I was sorry when Mavi closed so I was thrilled to see the Lonely Chef and the same ownership opening back up as Lezzet Cafe. The menu has changed a bit, but the variety of Turkish delights from appetizers to kebabs to flatbread pides is all there and delicious as ever. My first time back I got an adana kabob on pita and a lahmacun. They were delicious. I've always gotten my food to go so I don't know about the service, but Duygu has always been friendly and helpful with my to go orders so I'm sure the dining in experience is just as nice. I stopped by only for the very best pistachio baklava in town, and the Turkish gods must have been smiling down on me today because the smiling, friendly and helpful chef owner had JUST finished making these babies an hour ago! I paid 20$ for a falafel pic that didn't even come with pita bread or any sides really. the lettuce served on the side was all yellow with only two slices of cucumber.
