This place has horrible customer service. Mediocre food and environment. Not worth it

Let me start out by saying that I actually live in Nashville. That's right, not a tourist, a local. I say that because I will never ever return here as I assume they bank on tourist business alone. We made reservations for noon only to show up and be told they couldn't find it in the system. They sat us at this tiny table for two right by the entrance. It was freezing. After requesting to move and being told there was no way, we ordered a mimosa. Mediocre at best. No alternative breakfast meats on the menu so I asked for fruit. Waiter acted like I asked for free vodka. Offered mushrooms which is weird and I said I'd pay extra for fruit. My friend wanted no parm on her potatoes - also a huge deal apparently. Food was fine, nothing special. Had to ask for salt and pepper so we could season it ourselves. I will never ever come here again. The whole experience wasn't great. To add insult to injury, the "validation" for parking only takes off a small fraction. I can't believe I had to pay more money for the privilege to park to eat at this place! read more

Loved this place for brunch! Super cute inside and right on the river downtown which is so fun! It's super bright and open inside and has a really cute bar. Service was really good and they gave us great recommendations. I had the kale brunch bowl which was both filling and a nice healthy brunch alternative but they have all the classics as well. Great for groups but make a reservation for sure! read more

What else can I say but sheer perfection!! Everything we ordered from the drinks to the main dishes were excellent. The perfect place to stop in for any special occasion. The restaurant was beautiful and you instantly got a welcoming and comforting feel. Our waitress was unbelievably helpful and guided us every step of the way to the perfect brunch! Loved the decor but the service was just okay. I can completely understand when a restaurant is busy and short staffed but there were more bartenders than servers and no attempt made to regularly check on guests. The food was nothing special. Biscuits were underbaked, dense, and greasy. Eggs were supposed to be over medium but came out well done. The only highlight was one of the food runners that helped us. read more

I'm only giving this four stars because after being seated, my daughter and I waited a long time to be even acknowledged by a server. The ambiance and decor here is so good. I had the Plat Americain which was good, the best part was the buttermilk biscuit with pats of some kind of rich buttery cream that just melted in my mouth. I've been here twice to try and eat and was refused both times. I'd give zero stars if it was possible. They close at 3, I didn't arrive until 240 on the first time and was told they were no longer seating. I arrived at 220 today and there was no hostess. Once a server found said hostess, it was now 228. I was again told that they were no longer seating people. I asked what time they stopped seating and was told 230. It wasn't 230 yet and I had been there since 220 but was still told that I couldn't eat. I'll never go here again. read more

I have to start off by saying this is a gorgeous restaurant! The interiors are so pretty and it makes for a lovely dining experience. We went on a Monday at around noon and the place was empty. I'm sure on the weekend it's packed. So, if you want to avoid a crowd I highly suggest going during the week! I was feeling under the weather so I wasn't able to eat much of my food. But I got the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with fries and what I did eat was good! The fries were very good in my opinion. Unfortunately I just wasn't feeling well but I still wanted to give a review! Service was great and the restaurant was lovely overall. Have only had takeout but wow! So much better than Hampton Social (who also appears to not be social distancing , it's all in the name). Anyway, service was great and I appreciate the precautionary measures they have taken during Covid-19. The food was absolutely wonderful and inspired my husband to make his own version. Clean, crisp atmosphere and wonderfully wallpapered bathroom. I know that sounds odd, but it is super nice and bright wallpaper. So often you go to places and the outward appearance is only nice in the dining room. It was a nice welcomed surprise. The Mac & Cheese was delicious and the main reason for our trip to this location. The French Onion soup was also amazing and worth a scoop. read more

Unfortunately this restaurant had terribly poor customer service and lacked basic hospitality. The girls working the front counter were so incredibly rude that it came across as tacky and distasteful. This place did not have several food items listed on their menu. Our server did just about everything but properly serve. We had a basic request of splitting the bill (had one job) but couldn't seem to get that right either). A truly exceptional brunch. I have eaten a lot of brunch in Nashville and this was one of my favorites. I went with a friend for the inaugural brunch at liberty common and we were not disappointed. The waitstaff and managers were friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, bright, spacious with so many unique design details it is hard to take it all in! We ordered the coffee cake which was delicious, the chicken and waffles (also delicious), among other items. I have and definitely would continue to send people to liberty common! I was really impressed with both of my visits to Liberty Common. The first was for date night dinner and it was excellent. I had the steak frites and my husband had the trout almandine, both of which were so delicious. The next time we came we had brunch and it was also great. The brunch drinks are a little pricey, but the food still stands as delicious. The burger, chicken and waffles, biscuits, and pancakes were loved by our group. We will be back many times! read more

Love this restaurant and the upscale, eclectic ambiance. It is beautiful and unique. We only ever sat at the bar, and the drinks were on-point. We ordered the hite chicken sandwich that was delicious, as was the charcuterie board. They also have a buffalo cauliflower app that literally tastes like you're eating wings. But healthier. COMMUNICATION is this restaurants biggest fail. I made reservations weeks ago for my birthday here because of what I was told when I called. I had a reservation of 7 for brunch and was told we would be at separate tables, but they would put us right next to each other. When I made my reservation I was also told it would be from 11am-3pm. At the restaurant it was then disclosed that we could only have a reservation for two hours and when they sat us the tables were not near each other. I asked to talk to a manager who was extremely rude and defensive. I have no problem with restaurants abiding by the rules set forth by the government to keep their license. My problem and feedback was that when I called and chose this restaurant as the establishment for my birthday brunch I was told something completely different! The manager persisted to argue with me that his staff would never disclosure that information because they've worked there so long, blah blah blah. When a customer is telling you what they were told by your staff, own it! Take responsibility for the people you hire and employ, and provide everyone there with feedback on what a customer said about their experience. I didn't have a problem with this size party or service at any other restaurant/hotel/bar in the city all weekend. The restaurant only has an average of 3.5 stars and they should really look into why and make some changes. read more

Not the best brunch I've had. The atmosphere, jazz music and ambiance was great. The food was just average. Eggs were not prepared as ordered. The fried chicken and fried pork was dry. Staff is very friendly. Its a block away from all the crazy women /men (seemed like more women than men) riding around on the booze carts and busses screaming and singing country music. So although it is close to all the action, it was a good get away. read more

My wife and I stumbled onto this place during a Saturday afternoon urban hike with our pup. Admittedly, there was a miscommunication with the serving team after we got seated, but they took care of us! My wife got the brunch burger which was great and I had the hot chicken sandwich which I enjoyed. Their drink selection was also top notch. They even brought out a water bowl for our dog! My wife and I loved this place for date night! When we arrived at peak hours (a Friday evening) we didn't even have to wait for a table. The service was great and the food and atmosphere were amazing as well! My wife and I are CHEAP so we shared all our dishes which ended up being the perfect amount of food for both of us! We got the Biscuits: Amazing, Grilled Caesar Salad: Delicious, and the Pappardelle: Tasty For Cocktails we got the Presse Libre and Champagne Julep both were great in presentation but the Presse Libre had WAY to much ice which made me feel like I was paying WAY to much for what I was getting. There are so many places trying to grab the tourism dollars, but Liberty Common has positioned itself to be a hometown "go-to" experience. Conveniently located with attached parking makes it simple to access. The moment we walked in the door the stress of the business day evaporated. Cocktails and charcuterie for 5 started the evening. Within our group we enjoyed Duck A L Orange, Filet Mignon, Bone in Pork Chop and locally sourced Trout and grits. Exquisite is the only way to describe the food! The team work from the staff was extraordinary, seconded only by Tony's knowledge of the menu and his warmth and sincerity of taking care of every detail.
