I don't do reviews! However, my experience with Liberty Tavern has been so exceptional that I feel I must post. I run a lunch affair twice a year for retirees and have been doing so for many years. Liberty Tavern has far exceeded the food, service and pricing of any of my previous venues. We are served buffet style. Pizzas, salads, wings, sliders, etc. All items always kept warm and replenished as needed without us having to ask. The pizzas are exceptionally good! All items are labeled in the serving area and Nicole is very accommodating with respect to menu choices. When all is done, take out boxes magically appear for our convenience. You really can't mess that up, and I loved it! Being that we're here for vacation I went basic AF with fish & chips and a Sam Adams. Not lying when I say this was THE best fish & chips I've ever had. They have an Old Bay tartar sauce but have malt vinegar if you ask. Which I did and it pairs really well with the lightly but perfectly breaded haddock. And I never have anything bad to say about Sam Adams, so there. My husband had the pepperoni pizza. He liked the flavor and the crust. He likes his pizza with a skosh more sauce but overall he liked it. We had the brownie for dessert. The brownie was fluffy, I love marshmallows and would have liked more, (but that's just me), a nice drizzle of chocolate sauce, and Heath bar crumbles: delicious! Awesome brunch today at Liberty. I wasn't expecting much as we stopped by on way from Cape to Logan. Really great little place, started with some creative coffee based cocktails. I have been to Liberty Tavern a couple of times for pickups since its opening last year, but hesitated posting a review till now. The tavern apparently has kept the brick pizza oven from the previous restaurant at the location and upfitted a modern style bar which looks very cool and inviting. It must be popular to local people, as both times I visited the place, the bar area had quite a few people indoors (hope everyone is safe). The take outs were packaged very well. I tried their White Pizza and Italian Buratta Sandwich, both of which were excellent. Their Buffalo Wings were of good quality but might need more heat I think. read more

Our go to restaurant for Sunday brunch and the occasional dinner. For brunch I enjoy their trufflo chicken benny which is an eggs Benedict with a truffle buffalo sauce. For dinner we usually get pizza which is also excellent. They have a nice bar with a warm, modern atmosphere and the service has always been good. No parking lot, however, there is street parking around Quincy. Highly recommended spot! read more

Liberty is a part of the new breed of sports bars taking over. You know - the kind that you book to watch the game but also the kind that you can go to and get great takeout from during the week when you #justcant. They're ALSO the bar that you can take a first date to because it's casual enough to not be serious but nice enough to be ya know, not grimy? Think thick, juicy, well made burgers, truffalo pizza, pretzel bites, poutine, salads and mac and good drinks to cut that first date tension. Oh yeah, did I mention it's also the bar that you wake up on the weekends craving brunch from? Yes - Liberty Tavern outside of serving next level bar food - also does brunch. Is there anything they don't do? Ok, maybe cannolis and gelato but other than that, Liberty has something for everyone. The gals, your parents, the boys, etc. Liberty might be part of the new breed of bars taking over but man, they have to be considered one of the best of breed. Side notes - I'm a fan but: 1. Half off apps sometime in the week or during the first quarter of any game would be next NEXT level. 2. The music is a little loud so this might not be the most family friendly spot if you have young children. 3. In the middle of COVID they are adhering to the 90 minute rule so check out the menu online before arriving so you can order when you sit and have ample time to eat and hang out read more

The food here is so good! Great place for happy hour with friends. The mac and cheese is super gooey and cheesy. I had the passion fruit cocktail which was strong but tasty. I wanted to refresh my review...I have always liked this restaurant and visited once again a few times in the past few weeks. The Squash Soup is unbelievably good. Thick and creamy with such a delicious taste. I also tried and loved the yellow beet salad. I always look for yellow beet anything because they are so hard to find. My compliments to the chef. The salad is delicious. It has a ton of fresh yellow beets with a nice dressing and good size pieces of Brie with a delicious crisp that really makes it unique and SO delicious. My friend tried the pulled pork poutine and he really enjoyed it. I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken is so fresh with a nice brioche roll and a really tasty coleslaw with a great sauce and pickles. The fries were nice and hot. I can't wait to return and try the butternut squash pizza next. Our cocktails were good and the service was also good. The onion rings are to die for and the cheeseburger Patty melt sandwich was just what the doctor ordered for some quick, delicious bar food. Great Atmosphere and very clean, Started off with the Trufalo cauliflower which was decent like a 6 out of 10. The poke bowl was great presented very well. My wife had the braised short rib which was pretty good very tender. I think the shirt rib could use a tangy BBQ sauce or maybe offer different sauce's for the short rib. To wash things down, we ordered a bottle of Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon which was professionally opened in front of us by our waiter. All glass wear were inspected and very clean as well. Dessert: So my wife ordered the brownie and when it arrived it seemed a bit sub par. The Marshmello was not toasted as described and just seemed a bit basic, if it came with ice cream it would probably be a hit. Out waiter was totally understanding and we ordered the Apple cheesecake instead. My wife loved the cheesecake but as for me, I just thought it was too thick and heavy just my opinion. Flavor wise was pretty good. End of story: I will definitely come back here to try the amazing looking pizzas they have. Picked up Take Out last night. Very disappointed. I ordered a short ribs meal and chicken parm. The short ribs were all fat. Worse short ribs my mother ever had. The vegetables were barely cooked. There's steamed and then there's NOT cooked. My chicken parm was bland. Minimal sauce and it was tasteless. The pasta was over cooked. Very disappointed. A lot of money for bad food. Have walked past this place multiple times and finally decided to try it out. Overall, it did not awe and wouldn't be back here for the food. We got the cauliflower appetizer, which tasted like what you'd get at an Indian restaurant but with Gorgonzola added. The pretzel balls were alright. Coming to Liberty Tavern reminds me of why it never hurts to explore and try places you may have never heard of before. I did takeout from here recently and was completely enthralled with my experience. The pictures looked delicious so I ordered a White pizza and a pepperoni pizza. They are made fresh with every order in their awesome pizza oven. These are personal pizzas so one should fill you up or you may potentially have leftovers. Everything about the pizza made my tastebuds jump. Crust was perfect, cheese tasted great, and after I finished one slice I wanted another. The white pizza was different but I liked it a lot. It was a bit sweet which wasn't expected but combined well with the other ingredients. The Liberty tavern wings were also a homerun. They seemed a bit rotisserie like and had a nice crisp coat. It may look a bit burned in the picture I posted but was extremely delicious and didn't taste at all burned. Get it!! Staff were also friendly. I spoke with the assistant manager and she mentioned that they just opened a couple of weeks ago so go out and support when you can. I saw a sign that said that they planned on offering brunch soon. The waitress was very nice to us, but when my group of five friends and I went for brunch as soon as the place opened, I ordered the salmon over an English muffin (I think). Honestly, I didn't like it. However, my other friends ordered the chicken sandwiches and they loved them. Unfortunately, the place isn't gluten-free friendly despite what TikTok suggests! Appetizers honestly didn't impress me, genuinely all the food was basic, people rave about the pizza but seriously, there is so much oil on the pizza that if the bush administration found out about it, they'd invade liberty tavern. School house pizza next door is way better, and if you want to compete with their burgers, the 4s and fat cat has better burgers in my opinion. Management wasn't great, but I'll be kind cause the server was new, but she definitely has a lot to learn. I've come twice to try and give it another chance because locals have talked about how good it taste but I've been sadly disappointed twice. And I've literally ordered everything on the menu with my friends besides their steak and a pizza or two. There are definitely other restaurants with bar food I would visit on Hancock street before I go to Liberty tavern again. Sorry, but just being honest. 2 star cause the place looks like a fun bar to watch sports games. read more

In the old Angelos location. Place was full at about 630 pm on a Sat nite. Sat right down with table,of 4 right at the window ...comfortable nite with the windows rolled back. Emily was our incredible waitress. Very attentive and pleasant. Apps were the Wood fired Liberty wings and RhodeIsland style calamari ...also a huge dish of caprese.....All were very good. We ordered a few pizzas as our entree ...wood fired pepperoni with fontina and a nice marinara sauce along with a yummy prosciutto burrata pizza. The Prociutto pizza was unique with a fontina ...pine nuts...arugula and a balsamic drizzle.....very tasty. All for very reasonable prices. I also liked the fact that the pizza wasn't overcooked like most wood fired ovens produce. Only issue is the limited parking. Will def come back to try some other dishes. read more

Stopped for our last meal before leaving beautiful Boston. Found Liberty Tavern on our way. We didn't think about making reservations and when we arrived they were pretty booked. We asked for recommendations for some place close and before the 6 of us left the hostess had rearranged a couple tables to accommodate us. The menu has a wide array of choices and all six of us ordered something different, the Liberty burger, pear salad, pastrami sandwich w/ homemade sweet potato chips, pulled pork hash with sweet potatoes and pizza w/ mozzarella,lemon ricotta, arugula and a citrus vinaigrette dressing, all was delicious and fresh. The burger was sent back to be well done, manager came over to apologize and let us know it was being remade. Megan our waitress was wonderful and kept us watered and happy.
