Stopped by Liberty Wing Co. for takeout during dinner, and it wasn't busy at all. Service was smooth -- staff was friendly, the order was accurate, and the wait time was minimal. No complaints on that front. I ordered the 6-piece garlic wings (non-breaded). The wings came out freshly cooked and warm, with a decent crisp for being unbreaded. Portion size was solid. The garlic flavor was there, but overall the taste didn't really impress. They leaned overly salty for my preference, which took away from what could've been a stronger execution. Atmosphere is pretty much what you'd expect from the rest of the food hall -- standard, nothing particularly memorable. Price-to-portion felt slightly on the higher side, especially considering the flavor didn't quite deliver. Not a bad experience, but not one that makes me eager to return immediately. LIBERTY WING CO @ LIBERTY STATION SAN DIEGO I'm not a huge wings person, but this place actually changed my mind. I was so excited to try this spot out as well as going to Liberty Station in General. It's such an incredible spot that's right next to the airport, and has loads of different foods, cuisines, you name it all! Parking is available for street or in a lot, thankfully it's free and available. It can however get super packed on weekends. I came on a Tuesday, and it was pretty busy. Long lines but I made my way here. The staff was friendly and kind. I decided to get a convo, that included 6 count wings (lemon pepper), and a choice of tater tot's or fries, as well as any fountain drink. I got tater tots and a strawberry lemonade. The total came out to about $18. The wait was about 15 minutes so we got seated at a couple of high chairs available - everyone was eating from different spots and it was incredible to walk by the other stations. Once we got the food, it was SMOKIN hot! You can see the heat, it looks amazing. The flavor was there, it was crispy, everything about these wings were incredible. I really loved how much sauce there was that it would never be dry. Overall, l'd definitely come back to this spot - it's definitely a try if you're at Liberty Station! read more

Lots of parking in the area. This is located inside the liberty station food hall. Service was good, food came out fairly quick. Unfortunately, the wings were so salty, I could not really enjoy them. I had to drench them into the "spicy" that's not so spicy at all ranch to make it edible. The wings and fries themselves though are cooked to perfection. If they fixed the seasoning, I think this would be an easy 5 star for me. A lot of places to eat, it is a food hall so the tables aren't always clean. First time at Liberty Station and my friend had tried this place a few weeks ago. I decided to order the Loaded Tots with Cajun Dry Rub from here which have chicken, cheese, house sauce, and tomatoes. The food itself was decent - the tots were crispy, chicken was a little dry, and the portion was good. However, they gave me the wrong order 2 times. The first time they gave me Loaded Fries instead of the tots. The second time, I ended up getting the WRONG order and had to switch with another customer who was also coming back to complain. Ok the pros for my first try: I really liked the fries and felt there was a generous portion of chicken. The sauces are homemade and you can tell and the ranch was great. Until 12pm they are serving breakfast foods. We chose the chicken and waffles for $15. One big waffle with 4 wings. The pieces of chicken were well breaded and had a good flavor. It has a peppery bite in the flavor but nothing too spicy, less than mild. The waffle was perfect. The waffle had powdered sugar, but was not too sweet. A separate screen mounted to the right of the counter showed a rotating series of special deals, some of which were weekday specific. I chose the three Tenders with Cajun Dry Rub and Chipotle dipping sauce. Two dill pickle wedges came as a side to the order. The crust on the white meat was a breading that was fairly crispy. Actually really liked this spot their wings were massive and the sauce is delicious, their fries are drenched in the sauce too for added measure when you get your box to go. They do not skimp on the sauce. When you get your order, it is generously doused with flavorful sauce. You can get extra dipping sauce on the side. Ranch and chipotle is what we ordered and it was great! I'd recommend eating the tater tots or fries first as they might get soggy in the sauce if left uneaten for long.
