LIBERTY WING CO @ LIBERTY STATION SAN DIEGO I'm not a huge wings person, but this place actually changed my mind. I was so excited to try this spot out as well as going to Liberty Station in General. It's such an incredible spot that's right next to the airport, and has loads of different foods, cuisines, you name it all! Parking is available for street or in a lot, thankfully it's free and available. It can however get super packed on weekends. I came on a Tuesday, and it was pretty busy. Long lines but I made my way here. The staff was friendly and kind. I decided to get a convo, that included 6 count wings (lemon pepper), and a choice of tater tot's or fries, as well as any fountain drink. I got tater tots and a strawberry lemonade. The total came out to about $18. The wait was about 15 minutes so we got seated at a couple of high chairs available - everyone was eating from different spots and it was incredible to walk by the other stations. Once we got the food, it was SMOKIN hot! You can see the heat, it looks amazing. The flavor was there, it was crispy, everything about these wings were incredible. I really loved how much sauce there was that it would never be dry. Overall, l'd definitely come back to this spot - it's definitely a try if you're at Liberty Station!

The wings were DRY and not sauced at all??? If I had known that they were going to be dry I would have asked for extra sauce

Wings!?!?!? Say no more AMBIANCE: Parking: Welcome to Liberty Station, generally plenty of parking. It just depends on if there's an event or not. Seating: No designated seating but there's tables and chairs around the area - inside, outside, and seating options around the area. Feels: Point Loma is a charming area from the Liberty Station to just the lovely view of San Diego. Liberty Station is generally an eventful place -dine, play, chill. The spot itself is a simple restaurant good for grabbing, going, and picking your ambiance - find the live music, the dj, catch a game, or just hang out. FOOD: Lemon Pepper Wings (Recommend) Delicious! I usually compare it to Wingstop Lemon Pepper but this passes. Good crunch, citrus/savory lemon and pepper kick with a little extra sauce. Fries (Recommend) You can't go with fries! A good subtle savory crunch to enjoy after/in between eating wings. Sweet Tea (Recommend) Sweet and refreshing. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! Lizette was friendly and knowledgable. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good choices, flavorful bites, and a pleasant experience. There are a lot of great wing places but if you're in the area, this place is worth considering. TIPS: *Check out their website for daily specials/discounts!

Lots of parking in the area. This is located inside the liberty station food hall. Service was good, food came out fairly quick. Unfortunately, the wings were so salty, I could not really enjoy them. I had to drench them into the "spicy" that's not so spicy at all ranch to make it edible. The wings and fries themselves though are cooked to perfection. If they fixed the seasoning, I think this would be an easy 5 star for me. A lot of places to eat, it is a food hall so the tables aren't always clean. Maybe I would eat here again but try a different flavor.

The first thing that popped out to me and is ingrained in my mind is the service..it was impeccable, the cashiers and the owner(I'm guessing) seemed to love what he does for a living..just a warm personality That being said it resonates in the food.. The Mango Habanero Wings were perfectly cooked and slathered with just enough sauce The blue cheese dip..I could tell it was made in house.. served with a pickle! The Lemon Pepper Cauliflower Wings were so lemony and had that perfect tang.. that typing this now is making me salavate.. haha! When I usually order lemon pepper anything it falls short but this sauce screamed lemon (in a good way!) Also served with a pickle The Beignets were dense yet pillowy soft and were covered in powdered sugar and nutella..(it was my first time having them.. now I'm a fan) Prices were more than decent for the amount of food as well Can't wait to try the other menu items! No Regrets here

    Loaded Tots

First time at Liberty Station and my friend had tried this place a few weeks ago. I decided to order the Loaded Tots with Cajun Dry Rub from here which have chicken, cheese, house sauce, and tomatoes. The food itself was decent - the tots were crispy, chicken was a little dry, and the portion was good. However, they gave me the wrong order 2 times. The first time they gave me Loaded Fries instead of the tots. The second time, I ended up getting the WRONG order and had to switch with another customer who was also coming back to complain. Worker handed it pretty nicely but the whole process from ordering to receiving the food took 25 minutes. Even though the food was good, the hassle wasn't worth it

Liberty Wing Co. is pretty dang tasty! Dad and I met here for lunch, and we did enjoy it, although we both ordered the hottest sauces, and they weren't spicy at all to either of us. Maybe that's our personal problem, though! LOL! Service was great, and the ambiance of the building is bustling yet chill.

Wings and fries (boneless) with ranch and blue cheese sauce and with lemon pepper rub.

Ok the pros for my first try: I really liked the fries and felt there was a generous portion of chicken. The sauces are homemade and you can tell and the ranch was great. Con: The rub with the rub was that there was a lot and the chicken was a bit dry. The blue cheese dressing was a hard pass for me - sadly it was very watery and missing the tangy thick creaminess I love. I would go back but it would not be my first choice however staff was great and Liberty is a great spot.

The last time I visited there was a soul food spot here.  It was ok.  Now Liberty Wing Co. has taken over.  I tried their southern fried wings.  Wings had a crunchy batter and tender and juicy chicken underneath.  I liked the flavor which was a bit like the mild chicken at Main Chick.  6 wings were a big lunch for me. 2nd visit I tried a 6 piece wing combo with lemonade.  I don't like lemonade from soda machines.  Liberty Wing Co makes their own lemonade.  It was sweet and had a nice lemon flavor.  Pretty good.  My favorite lemonade is from Hot Dog on a stick.  This lemonade is not quite that good.  This visit I ordered the wings with cajun dry rub.  The dry rub had a nice flavor which was not hot or spicy.  Fries were crispy and I liked the flavor from the seasoning salt. Service was friendly and speedy.  Each visit to Liberty Market is an adventure as I see new places each time.

Chicken tenders with garlic and fries

Deliciously crispy chicken tenders. I really enjoy shoestring fries and they are really crispy. The garlic sauce is really good an d didn't have to much spice. The order came out really quick despite Lib Station being super busy today.

Liberty Wing Co has taken over an internal corner suite at the Liberty Public Market in Point Loma. The space used to belong to a longtime business that served soul food. There is already another fried/hot chicken vendor within the complex so they are likely competing against each other for the same customers. Three menu screens hung above the service counter. The left one offered wings, tenders, or loaded fries/tots. The middle one displayed the flavors and dipping sauces. The right one listed the special items, party packs, sides, drinks, and desserts. A separate screen mounted to the right of the counter showed a rotating series of special deals, some of which were weekday specific. I chose the three Tenders with Cajun Dry Rub and Chipotle dipping sauce. Two dill pickle wedges came as a side to the order. The crust on the white meat was a breading that was fairly crispy. The rub added some mild heat while the sauce was ordinary. For the $14 price, the quality of my food at Liberty Wing Co was middle of the road average.

Located in the Liberty Station Market, went on a busy holiday weekend but service was quite fast. Went here on a whim always wanted to try this spot I usually go to dirty birds down the road. Actually really liked this spot their wings were massive and the sauce is delicious, their fries are drenched in the sauce too for added measure when you get your box to go. Nice ranch too very dilly. A six piece combo was enough for my wife and I. Oh yeah they do add a quarter pickle spear in the box, my wife did not like that but o well I just ate the wings that were covered by the pickle juice that's a w for me.

    Chipotle Wings Garlic Wings
    Lee T.

I was visiting San Diego and went to San Diego Public Market Point Loma. I saw this wing place and wanted to try. I ordered the garlic wings and chipotle wings with fries and lemonade. I received my order and lemonade was fire great taste. The Chipotle Garlic wings were okay, and the ranch dipping sauce could have been a lot better tasting. The ranch had a different taste. The Garlic wings were just okay, as I asked for extra rub on the wings. The food was about 2 stars. The Beignets were on fire and was the only thing I enjoyed from this place. Enjoy.

It's located at the bottom of the Mission Hills/Midtown Neighborhoods, down the street (South) from El Indio and Shakespeare Pub. Upon walking up, it just looks a bit unappealing and somewhat grungy outside. We stopped for a few minutes to view the menu posted outside on the window. Everything looked delicious on the menu. A nice man came out to tell us that since the FIFA Game was on, it's now Happy Hour, with great specials. We decided to come in and check it out. Despite the grungy storefront look, when you walk in, you're instantly greeted by the staff and they are very nice about a warm welcome. Tables are clean and tableware is cloth napkin with utensils, nice touch! We were seated immediately, and we were able to choose the seat that we wanted. The FIFA games were on and the place had about 10 customers enjoying their meals. There is an outside patio that looks a bit dark in lonely for dining. There's also patio dining in the front of the storefront which looks a bit more promising. Inside there are counter height, tables, and a bar seating area as well as normal dining room tables. Our family decided on a large Genovese Pizza and a large Meat Lovers Pizza. My Husband had the nonalcoholic beer, our kids had water, and I chose a root beer. Our server was a really nice lady and she was very customer service oriented. We decided, once the pizzas came out, that we didn't have enough table space at the regular height dining table for 4 of us. We ended up moving to a counter height table, which is more of a rectangle shape and has more surface space. This was a great choice because we were able to fit all of our glasses with water, beverages, and both pizzas and plates for serving at the counter height table. I'm glad that we've made this choice because it worked out well. Our food was piping hot and the pizza was freshly made. I will say that the crust is delicious here as well as the toppings of the pizza. The meat lovers was traditional, but tasted very very authentic and had really good flavor and quality toppings. The Jean, VC pizza is a pesto, chicken, pine nuts, potato topping pizza. I absolutely love anything pesto. Wow this pizza was delicious. It probably could use a little bit more salty to the pesto sauce. I recommend adding some Parmesan cheese to the pesto sauce or just sort of doing something to enhance the salt flavor to bring out the basil. Everything was delicious. The service is excellent and I highly recommend coming here. The AUTHENTIC PIZZA OVEN was in full service tonight! See my photo. The only thing that I would suggest is that the owners clean the front windows and blinds. Also, possibly spruce up the side patio with more lighting and possibly some nice greenery or a fresh coat of paint so that more customers would feel comfortable dining in the space. We want to be regulars here because the food is yummy, customer service is great, and the vibe is nice.

The Terrible These are the smallest strips/tenders/fingers you've ever received when ordering strips-This is not a location problem unique to this store, this is a Raising Cane's problem. Raising Cane's is good, but the chicken fingers are just that-sized like the fingers of a dainty individual. My favorite chicken spot is priced similarly to RC's but the strips are like 2-3 times the size, providing much more bang for your buck Even though I got the bogo today, I have to drop a star for the teensy tendies. This is a beautiful store. Cane's always puts together beautiful storefronts, and that I can appreciate. I like how this location has a mostly wide open kitchen. I used to say Cane's was the In-N-Out of chicken fingers, but say that no more. On Father's day we fed 8 people for $80 at INO. You can barely feed 5 for that at Canes. Hats off the team at this location for holding it down. The store was really clean and the food was very fresh. Nice work. Thank youuuuuu!
