    Birria egg roll

My favorite place to eat before movies at the Gateway! I crave the Birria egg roll weekly, it's one of my favorite appetizers in Columbus. Their Korean fried chicken is pretty saucy and always a very generous amount. It's nestled in the Game Arena lobby and is a very casual vibe, sometimes service is faster if you sit at the bar but the kitchen is very fast once your order is placed.

Interesting concept. Have been ordering in more recently, so I tried TaKorea. It's a mix of Mexican and Korean-inspired cuisine and they really go full send on the idea. I tried both egg rolls, the Korean fried chicken burrito, and a birria quesadilla. They offer lots of different sauces including a spicy Korean BBQ sauce. That one was interesting. I actually liked everything I tried from there, albeit none of it felt super authentic. I wasn't expecting that, but it's to be noted. The consomme for the birria was super thin so it didn't really add a lot to the experience. The guacamole was pretty good. I would definitely order from there again and potentially try something new. I think the Korean fried chicken burrito was my favorite item, but it needed more sauce.

Delivery of birria eggrolls, bulgogi quesadilla, and Korean fried chicken burrito. Everything was perfect. Unexpected flavor combos that 100% WORK. Why is this not a more common fusion style???

It was my first time trying TaKorea. I ordered it through DoorDash, and had it delivered. It was like Korean version of Chipotle. Overall the food was tasty! The burrito was quite big and flavorful~ I liked the fried chicken too. It was cooked perfectly and the meat was very juicy. But I didn't like the taco. The meat was dry, and it tasted a little plain to me as well.

Really delicious food. We catered TaKorea for lunch and it was excellent. Highly recommend the birria tacos and KFC!

I was so excited to hear there was a taco Korean fusion restaurant. It was taco Tuesday and I was looking on DoorDash to deliver tacos. To my surprise I saw this place. I love Mexican food and Korean food, so I was excited to see a fusion. It's also a ghost kitchen. I ordered the egg roll brirria, brirria with the con'sume , curry taco, fried chicken taco, pork taco ans of course the Korean fried chicken. The food was subpar, my kids liked the pork and fried chicken taco. The brirria was underwhelming. Maybe because it was to go order that the taco was soggy and the flavor was lacking. The curry taco was dry, like I needed the verde to make it somewhat moist. The egg roll wasn't bad. If you asked me if I would order again, I would say no. Hey maybe you might like to give it a try.

I have mixed feelings about TaKorea. The concept is excellent -- it's a mash-up of two cuisines that truly seem to belong together. One difficulty, however, is that they're a ghost kitchen that seems to be set up in the same space as several other ghost kitchens. Now, I have no problem with that at all...but when we first tried to visit a month or so ago, we realized that there was truly no mechanism for going to the location and ordering there. Worse still, the restaurant hours are listed differently in different locations. We went around 5:00 last time, only to discover that they wouldn't start processing orders until 6:00. As such, we had to go elsewhere then and resolved to try again. Fast forward to this attempt. Because of our experience last time, we decided to order for delivery, which simply seemed more convenient, even though it added another $10 to the order. The menu looks wonderful, and I had a hard time deciding between three or four items. My girlfriend decided to go with the Korean fried chicken -- the small plate, as the main portion wasn't available -- and I went with the fried chicken burrito. We also ordered chips and queso to split. As soon as I submitted the order, I realized I forgot to add the Asian slaw that my girlfriend wanted, but the site assured me that I could edit my order for the next half-hour. So I did. The food arrived when scheduled, though we noticed immediately that they missed the slaw (though I was still charged) which was unfortunate. But the real problem with having food like this delivered is that any crispiness the chicken was supposed to have is gone, and the sauces, which sound so delicious, are almost fully absorbed into the breading. Our meals were still fairly warm, but my girlfriend was quite dissatisfied with her Korean fried chicken. I liked my burrito a bit more, and appreciated that it was a big portion...but the chicken was the most disappointing part. There was just nothing special about it -- nothing to distinguish it from any other kind of breaded chicken, really. I must say that the chips and queso were very good. A few of the chips were rubbery, but most were crispy and delicious. Overall, my takeaway is that this is the kind of food that needs to be eaten immediately after it's prepared. It has a street food feel, but that really doesn't work well when you have to order delivery from a ghost kitchen in an industrial part of town. Maybe if they get a storefront somewhere (even a kiosk!) it will be worthwhile, but our overall experience with our two TaKorea attempts is decidedly "meh."

Eh. Can go without. The flavor just wasn't there. We tried the Korean chicken quesadilla, Birria egg rolls, parm fries and a burrito.

We've been during restaurant week and there was a long wait, and where you just walk right in and get seated. Every part of the experience is well managed. The hostess is absolutely adorable and so kind. She got screamed at my disgruntled customers (because they were asked to leave after the 2 hours slotted because there was a long wait) and she was so kind to them and just took it. She helps change the grates, and even placed an order for meat for us! The wait staff is also super kind and helpful. Offering recommendations if you don't know what to try, and being super responsive. Our drinks were never empty and the meat was always on our table! The quality of meat/seafood is very good. We've tried the marinated chicken (spicy and not), the beef and pork bulgogi, both were very good. We've had the brisket, the pork belly, the calamari (both spicy and not) and it was all so fresh and yummy. The denver steak was a hit and even the marinated shrimp are an amazing option! Everything comes out so fast and so your table will always be full! We have been to Kbbq in a lot of different places (both in ohio and out) and this place is the best out there. whether it's a date night, a family celebration, or just craving an amazing meal- this is your spot.

Service was helpful, especially to navigate the complex menu. While the food was spectacular, the ambiance was dark and the floors were extremely sticky. This made a less than favorable first impression, however the meal made up for the environment. As stared, the menu was difficult to navigate. We will return when we visit Columbus in the future.

There's a large fish tank in the middle of the restaurant, but it didn't have any fish in it, which made the space feel unfinished. Service also fell short. We had to flag our waitress down multiple times, and she only checked on our table once during the meal. While the food itself was enjoyable, the combination of high prices, small portions, and inattentive service makes it difficult for me to justify returning.
