I've always had a really good experience at this dry cleaner, even if it's been a bit pricey at…read moretimes, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I recently picked up two garments that still had the same stains I brought them in for, yet I was still charged for the cleaning. I understand that not all stains can be removed, but if that's the case, customers shouldn't be charged as if the issues were resolved. At the very least, I would expect a heads-up when dropping items off if something looks unsalvageable, especially since I pointed out the problem areas in detail ahead of time. Or at minimum, a conversation at pickup about what happened or a partial refund for not being able to do the work needed. Instead, I was expected to take the items as-is and pay in full for the service. When I asked about it, I was told "we cleaned the garments," which may be true, but the reason I brought them in was to address those specific stains. When I calmly pushed back, I was told, "This isn't the place to bring my items," and was issued a refund. I was being dismissed and steamrolled with excuses simply for asking for better customer service. I stayed polite and was just trying to understand their reasoning, but there was no accountability until I raised the issue. As a business owner myself, if I can't deliver on what a customer is paying for, I take responsibility for that. I've had good experiences here in the past, but this left a bad impression. I'll be going elsewhere for my cleaning needs.

When I picked them up, the woman at the front charged me $19.95 per sweater. I actually thought she had just made a mistake with the total so I asked her to confirm the cost to dry clean a cashmere sweater and she confirmed $19.95. I know cashmere usually is more expensive to dry clean than other materials, but I think that's outrageous. I paid the total, but then I asked to see the price list and she said they didn't have one! The whole thing was pretty suspect, and I will never go there again. Not to mention, the woman upfront was very rude during the whole thing. I believe they might simply make up pricing as they go and see what they can get away with. I'll admit, that often times I will pick up dry cleaning, pay the bill, and not really pay close attention to what each thing cost. Usually it's roughly what I'm imagining it to be. But in this case, I knew something was weird and I'm glad I asked. I truly do not recommend this business.

I don't know what I did before Life without Laundry. Well, that's not entirely true. I have lived many places over the years, some places with a single washing machine shared by just a few tenants, some with super-sized laundry rooms that took up the entire roof of the building, I have even had my own washer and dryer in unit. Either way, all these options meant taking an entire Sunday afternoon or a late evening after work to get all that laundry done once a week. In the hopes of cutting down on the time spent with this chore, I have even gone the route of the laundromat. Just a quick reminder the laundromat involves travel to and from the location, wrestling for an empty dryer and hopefully not losing any belongings. All this to say that I have found the answer. I am here to sing the praises of Life Without Laundry! A few clicks on my phone and my giant bags of dirty clothes were whisked away the next morning and then speedily returned the following day! No more running up and down stairs, no timing the dryer to make sure that a neighbor doesn't toss me undies on the floor. Once returned I opened the bags from Life Without Laundry and happily found our clothing, towels, and sheets perfectly clean and folded (and not heavily fragranced which is a personal pet peeve). A short list of what I will now be doing on what used to be "laundry day". 1) trying a new restaurant, 2) checking out a new film, or maybe 3) nothing. Here's to your newly found free time! Disclaimer: I didn't get to use the actual service, but I wanted to review Life Without Laundry due to their incredible customer service. I placed a laundry order to be picked up at my hotel, and Alex followed up with me to make sure I had everything, quickly after the order. I had also bought a Yelp $5 for $10 voucher and did not see where to input it on their website, though a quick email fixed the issue quickly! I dropped off my laundry with clear instructions to the hotel front desk agent that a third party would come by the next morning. However, it was sent out with regular hotel laundry. Alex graciously refunded my order even though the driver came out and waited 15 minutes to have the matter resolved. Not to mention that he texted me about 20 minutes after the driver left to get my take on what happened, saying he had received a notification that the driver wasn't able to pick up anything. I'm sad I didn't get to use the service, though incredibly grateful for Alex and team's gracious service and incredible customer service. They will be my first choice next time I am in Boston or LA. read more

I could not be more impressed with Alex and this company. I was drawn in by YELP reviews, and they were more than correct. I signed up, and when I asked about arranging that same day for pickup, Alex offered to alter my pickup date - for a brand new customer. He was incredibly responsive. Although I used LWL due to our building machines being down for quite some time, I will continue to use the company even when they are back up and running. Life without laundry is super easy and convenient. Working full time leaves me with little time for house chores and LWL takes the stress of laundry away. I work at a barn and vet clinic, so I have to wear multiple outfits a day and the laundry just piles up. I am so grateful that there exists a reliable laundry service that can help me out. Everything is online and if you ever have a question you get a human answering the phone and it's almost always the owner which I really appreciate. If it was possible to give zero stars or - stars, I would. SCAM is all I need to let you know. They will weigh your laundry out of the washer once it is wet.
