I'm fairly new to the area and trying to find my "forever" salon. It's almost worse than finding a doctor. I thought I should try a blowout since I'm a member of the club and treat it as a good trial run. The salon called me last Thursday asking if I would mind having someone else do my hair because of a scheduling conflict. That's not the reason why I'm posting a review. I arrived at the salon 5 minutes early and sat for an additional 20 minutes. Ultimately, they could not get a hold of the stylist, but offered me 20% off my next service and sent me on my way with a hot yea. Their policy is if the customer changes the appointment within 24 hours they forfeit 50% of the service charge. If the customer misses the appointment' they forfeit 100% of the service cost. I'm not sure how this policy helps the customer when your employee was a no show. My time is just as valuable. I've been fortunate to have amazing stylists in the Seattle who have a great work ethic. There was never a no show in the 14 years I was a client. If they were sick, they called in and the salon did their best to accommodate the same day. Yesterday, was my first day in the weekend with no homework and work. I've competed my Masters degree in addition to working full time and wanted to kick off the weekend with a nice blow out. I expected more from this salon due to the club affiliation. It's worth noting that the club's front desk employee told me that this was not the first time and asked for my name and number. You've earned 5 stars for an awful first impression. read more

I've been meaning to post this update for the last month!! I was initially loving my hair, due to the curls and blowout. But the details were seriously lacking!! I almost called the salon to head back in for a fix but was leaving for vacay (hence why I got my hair done in the first place). I have added new pics that show my blonde highlights-- or lack thereof. The pics show my roots exactly 1 WEEK after my highlights with Amanda, where are the blonde highlights? My roots were soo visible and dark. This is seriously the weirdest thing that has happened to me, like the highlights were missing- lol. I really like Amanda and the spa but for the higher pricing and atmosphere I expected WAY more. When she was doing the highlight she was doing as I asked, close to the root- etc., but the color just wasn't there. If you're a blonde, just double check the details and don't get lost in the blowout. read more

I have an event to go to on the weekend so I made an appointment to get eyelash extensions on a Tuesday. They canceled on me an hour before the appointment. I had scheduled my whole week around this. Not only did I end up having to waste half a day, the frustrating part is that they did not see through in helping me secure a spot for this week. I had initially asked for a preferred date and time. They said they would get back to me. Nobody got back to me so I called again because I didn't want whatever availability was left to fill up. If they couldn't get in contact with the technicial, they should have called me before the last spot got filled. I made it clear that i have an event this weekend. If i was the coordinator, I would have been mindful of this situation and offered the last spot as a take it or leave it before allowing the week to get fully booked. The spa is not reliable and has no regard for the client's schedule. read more

She takes her time massaging your legs and feet all the while making sure you are comfortable. She is a real healer. I also love my gel nails-she is an expert. I booked a hair appt yesterday and it was an absolute disaster. She started late. My appt was at 2:00 for a blow dry. She started around 2:20pm. Then left me to tend to another client sitting for 15 min. She said she has to put his color in first. I'm sorry but you started late on my hair so you finish my hair then tend to the other person. But he was feeding her a bunch of BS so she clearly enjoyed it. I ended up having to leave because I told the front that I have to be out of there by 3:30pm. I left with my hair not fully dry, my back wet and I had to finish my own hair at home. I told a lady out front and clearly nothing was done. I couldn't believe the service I received and no one was bothered. Also the table she had me set my stuff on still had cut hair on it and not clean. Such a waste of time and money. read more

I am never rushed or just another client and always have a great experience. It's not cheap to have these services done, so I only go to the places where I feel I am treated well. I decided to get my hair cut 6 weeks before my wedding and went to the salon that I've always gone to since I moved to South OC. The salon had a new person and he did a number on my hair and I was almost in tears over it. I went to the LifeSpa (where I should have originally gone!) and Jessica completely fixed my hair. My hair was actually 1 inch shorter on one side and she made it even and it actually looks like it has more volume now. She is truly talented - I will absolutely go back to the LifeSpa. It does seem weird to those who don't understand that a spa could be in an athletic club, but they truly chose the top of the top stylists. I can't speak highly enough about this place. read more

It's a beautiful spa and I love coming here for my hair. I don't recommend it for a pedicure. It was my first time going there for a pedicure and I felt they did an ok job. $50 for the beautifying treatment on your toes and the only difference between the express treatment and the full length is a scrub.
