Normally I would have nothing but good things to say about this company. And if my system was not already paid for, I would definitely not be going back. Although my system is old it has moved from multiple locations with me...This years service is below average. And if I could give negative stars I would. First off - My system stopped working on 5/18. I called to get someone out ASAP...the earliest available appointment was 5/26...Over a week away :( OK...fine, they don't have anyone out in Lancaster during the week...I get it. At this point they tell me that I'll get a call the DAY OF the appoint with a 2 hour block as to when the tech will make it out. Ummm, I don't know about you...But I work...I can't just pickup and go because I have an appointment. OK...so we make it work, someone will be home most of the day...guess what, the tech calls and won't be there until the exact 2 hours that no one will be there! UGH!!!! So I get a friend to come over during that time block...he waits, and waits...nothing! Finally I get home and still nothing. So I call to make sure everything is OK. Supposedly the tech showed up...waited half hour, then left stating that no one was home. NO TRUE! The tech went to a sliding glass door and left a note...this door leads to a BEDROOM!!!! Of course no one heard him knock on the bedroom door! Who in their right mind thinks a sliding glass door with closed blinds is the front door of a house?!?!?! SO - the CS agent I spoke to on the phone apologized and advised there was nothing else she could do. The next earliest appointment available was going to be 6/2. Now I[m going over 2 weeks with no drinking water. You can obviously tell that tel agent just wanted to go home she was not emphatic at all and and couldn't care less that I was having to spend more money on bottled water, which at this point we've already spent $50 for. Finally, 6/2 - I get a call from the tech stating the he would be over between 2-4. This time I've decided to take the day off to avoid any issues. I had the agent leave a note on my account that the sliding glass door is not the front door to avoid again any issues. By 3:30...still no tech . I get a call shortly after that he is running SUPER behind and now he is estimating between 5:30-6PM....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Now I've taken a FULL day off of work for nothing! He gets here around 6:15...does the work in about 30-40 minutes and is gone. He was nice, but I was still annoyed that I spent the majority of my day waiting around for this appointment. I was not even offered any type of compensation for my first appointment being screwed up by their tech. And I'm sure they wouldn't care about my second appointment being super late either. At this point I've had my system probably around 10 years, if not longer. Going to start looking into other companies. Don't waste your time here. They don't care about their customers anymore...So sad, but true. read more

Our experience with Lifetime Solutions, Inc. was mixed, and I want to share some critical observations for potential customers. While the water softening and reverse osmosis (RO) systems we purchased have been functional, the sales process raised significant concerns. During their in-home presentation, the sales representative used scare tactics centered around water quality to pressure us into a decision. While this wasn't the sole reason we made the purchase, it was a major influence. After installation, we raised concerns about the systems, such as the potential for long-term foundation damage caused by consistent water drips. Instead of addressing these issues meaningfully, the staff repeatedly referred us back to their overly long and complex contracts, often saying, "Did you read the whole contract?" Let's be honest--most of us try our best to read contracts, but theirs was excessively lengthy, with legal jargon that felt deliberately overwhelming. In hindsight, I regret tolerating it. Transparency was also lacking regarding the broader implications of water softening systems. These systems are increasingly criticized, banned in some states and counties for excessive water waste, and linked to potential damage to city and residential plumbing. On top of that, they downplayed the need for consistent maintenance, which turns out to be significant. Factoring in maintenance costs, it feels like we could have achieved similar results by sticking with bottled water instead of spending $10,000 to drink from the sink and soften our water. Ultimately, while the product works as promised, the sales process, lack of upfront transparency, and dismissive customer service made this experience less than satisfactory. I'd urge Lifetime Solutions to improve their ethical practices and educate customers about the long-term responsibilities and potential pitfalls of their systems. As soon as we can recover from this financial decision, we will be switching to a more prominent company which are not only half the cost, but also seem to take business ethics and their impact on the environment equally as serious. read more

Lifetime Solutions righted the situation when their technician ran late and couldn't hold our initial appointment. They rescheduled the service and as an apology they offered us complimentary bags of salt and a discount on the replacement filters. On the day of the reschedule, I received a call from Hector who gave us an estimated time of arrival and even called us when one of his appointments prior to mine cancelled letting me know he was arriving early to my home. Hector gave me a third call to let me know he was on his way as I had requested and confirmed the cross streets and gate code into the community. Upon his arrival, he introduced himself, shook my hand and put on his slip covers over his shoes before entering our home. He was very polite, knowledgeable and patient as I asked him about the service we were to receive that day and he was aware of the discounts that were offered to us. After replacing the annual filters, he noted that the Alkaline filter was also due for replacement, however he took a reading and said we could go another year as it was still reading well above replacement levels at 8.5. (Recommendation is to replace it when it reads 7.5 or lower.) Although we will likely replace it next year, the filter still had good life in it so I appreciated his honesty. After he upgraded the system and replaced the filters under the kitchen sink, he checked on the main unit that was in the garage. He showed me some of the important settings and took notes on it so he could update their system later. He set the alarm for next years service, checked the water connections and filled up the tank with salt. We completed the paperwork and then Hector was on his way to his next appointment. Although I was pretty upset for the no show on our first appointment because I had my father-in-law stand in for us all day waiting, both Lifetime Solutions and Hector righted the situation in a good, fair way. Several weeks ago a technician named Mike reestablished my belief in great customer service! My Rainsoft system had been serviced by various techs for months, yet remained with several major problems. It would not regenerate itself, it wouldn't calculate the daily water usage, the water produced by the system was hard and the resign was failing. When Mike arrived to check out the system he immediately identified the problems and went to work to fix them. It was very apparent he had years of know how and experience by how quickly he knew what was wrong and how he described to me what was causing the issues with my system. He then took his time to clearly and plainly explain how he planned to rectify them. He methodically went through the entire mechanics of the device and replaced the expired resign and nearly a dozen failed and/or failing parts, - issues overlooked by the previous techs. He even explained the importance of charcoal added to the resign due to the harmful effects of chlorine added to city water. After putting everything back together, he tested the water and found it to have (2) grains of hardness. He told me the system was capable of producing (0) grains of hardness and he would continue to work on it till it did. Mike discovered a very important little "O" ring was missing from the top of the large gold filter that was replaced several months earlier. He installed a new O ring and retested the water. It was Perfect, "0" grains of hardness! I can"t remember the last time a serviceman had so much pride in his work as Mike did! I certainly hope the company he works for takes full advantage of this man's knowledge and people skills by utilizing him to oversee others in the field to ensure this level of service- which will cut down on unneeded return trips and disappointments. Been a customer since 2011. We were referred by Hector to look into RainSoft reverse osmosis. Having a newborn with eczema & skin sensitivities we went ahead and purchased the whole house water treatment system. It has really helped with my daughters skin. We moved from Orange County from a different type of climate we also felt we needed the air filtration system. It's so dry and dusty up here in the HD. We felt it was the best investment for our family and our home. I'm so spoiled that when I stay over in a hotel or at my moms I can honestly feel the chlorine and comment about it and they have no idea what I'm talking about. I can even tell just by tasting a water at a restaurant that they are using hard water. I can't stress enough what a great investment this was and will be. We also got he CleanStart and we again genuinely love it. I do not use laundry soap anymore. Not even Dreft for my girls laundry. It feels and smells cleaner and with no dyes or odors. I dont understand the negative comments about people complaint about having to change the filters. I mean it is common sense they are "filters" they filter your water and get dirty so OBVIOUSLY they need to be replaced to work at its maximum performance. I mean, you spend the money on the system but won't on the filters????? My husband and I have learned that if you buy something cheap it won't last or it won't do the job right. Yes RainSoft may not be the cheapest but they do have a LIFETIME warranty. AND lifetime doesn't mean "lifetime filters" One more thing... WARRANTY not Guarantee. It is a mechanical system and it does require maintenance which is not that expensive. I truly recommend this company. read more

There are a lot of companies out there that try and sell you something. Then when you need help they are nowhere to be found. Life time solutions is the opposite. Tony who is one of their maintenance reps for Barstow area is amazing. We pay for a month to month service with them to keep all the filters up to date. Make sure we always have salt. That kind of thing. We have had our system for about 3 1/2 years and love it. Tony always is helpful, always answers our questions, more patient that he needs to be, and always makes sure our needs are met before he leaves. If you are looking into getting a soft water system or reverse osmosis system I highly recommend them. Not just because Tony is awesome and has over 17 years experience. Lifetime solutions are dealers for Rain Soft. The combination of their products, customer service, and improvement of our water have prompted me to actually write a review. We have never had a less than remarkable service. We always have the best drinking water. To top it off we don't have to buy lotion in bulk after our very "hard water" shower. Have you ever taken a shower wth a TDS of 10. Ya it sucks. You can't take a shower every day or you get alligator skin. Water is now has a TDS of 0. Soaps sud like crazy. Clothes need less soap to wash, Dishes don't have hard water stains. Even our towels that we have been using forever it seems are soft and plush. Getting used to soft water is kind of odd at first. Once you get used to it I can't take a shower at someone else's house. Like ever. If you are in Barstow, Victorville Area , want a Rain soft system you won't be disappointed with lifetime solutions. read more

So this is an updated review. I'm still giving them 1 star. Yet again 3rd time having to reschedule. I pay monthly for the service plan. My system is completely out of salt. When called said I wasn't due for a service for yet. Called a few beforehand. Asked if they could deliver salt. They said sure, then scheduled a service. Didn't receive the salt, then get a call a day before scheduled service that I needed to schedule a service. I told person we had an appointment next day. She checked and said no you're not on schedule. Scheduled me 2 weeks later. I live in mtn community. It snowed so guess what, you got it service canceled. At least this time my husband called the day before to see if they were still going to come. They weren't, but weren't going to call until the next day. They still don't you give a time frame of when they're showing up until morning of. So we get rescheduled 2 weeks later. And...I get a phone call from them tech is out for 2 weeks. They need to reschedule. I asked once again about salt being delivered. I understand people are getting sick. Nope no one will be in the area before my next scheduled appointment. Their customer service on the office ends sucks. There's no nice way to put it. When I complained this was the 3rd time they were rescheduling me all I got was a sorry for the inconvenience. If it wasn't for the fact that I'd be voiding my warranty if someone else touched the system I'd go with a different company. read more

Review for Martin Gonzales: Great job! Was very fast and helped me understand proper maintenance for a water-softening system we inherited. Review for Lifetime Solutions: Terrible. I needed to switch from salt as the medium for our water softener to potassium chloride. I thought this seemed easy, and I knew there was an option for it in the settings. But, the manual said to call about this, so I did. The RainSoft person said it would take hours to walk me through this process on the phone and that they always schedule a technician to come out and do this. I asked multiple times to be sure that I understood correctly, because it seemed so easy, but I eventually agreed to have the tech do it. Well, the tech came, flipped over to the salt/potassium setting, and clicked once to change it. That was it. Took less than a minute. RainSoft charged me $99 for this. I called and asked for a refund and was told to check back in a couple of days if I didn't get a call back from a manager. (I thought, "Are they joking?") They made a bad situation due to a lack of knowledge about their own system (or outright scamming -- haven't ruled that out yet) and showed no commitment whatsoever to resolving the situation. I may have to just reject the charge on my card. The only good part of the situation was the tech, who was very helpful and said, "There was really no reason for me to be here to do this." I had James Hoody come out and pitch my family on their line of products on a tuesday, two days later they installed my reverse osmosis water setup, the next day Robert and Zach installed the rain softner kit and air purifier kit. Robert came back two hours later just to make sure an extra washer he found was installed. Both Robert and Zach answered every question I had during the entire installation process. Robert made sure I understood how to check rains oft water system and the reverse osmosis kit! I called Michelle at the company service department to get some of my questions answered. That's when lifetime water and air had the boss Gordon send out a service tech to verify everything my wife questioned me about was answered. Tony was another great representative from Lifetime! Michelle then called the next day to verify I was completely happy. Once she was understood I was happy, Michelle and I discussed the service contract that I can purchase through Lifetime! Good prices, but she made sure that I knew the first year was completely under warranty! Any problems, call service! This is a great company and provided a great service to my family. Thanks again Lifetime water and air! I look forward to wonderful water and air! I highly recommend this company!! My repair person was Hector Tovar. This gentleman went above and beyond to take care of us. I know, I know. "Everyone" says that about their service rep, but please - read on because this time it's true! I was that pain in the butt customer! I knew that I was right, and the company was wrong. (Read: being a B@#ch from hell) I was convinced something was wrong with the sensor and wanted it replaced, now. Hector was so kind. He LISTENED to me (that is a rare quality now days) and never once made me feel bad. I came on strong, and insisted I knew more than him, and his machine was faulty. He politely asked if he could check for a leak. I laughed and said sure (we had checked 3 times, there was no leak) go for it, knock yourself out. OMG!!! He found the biggest, most horrible leak! One that caused us to waste almost 19,000 gallons of water! He could have changed the system and be done with me. But no, he has honor. He went the extra mile, did something he didn't have to do, and provided total customer service. AND - he went back under the house, for a second time, into the far corner that was hard to reach, and he took photos for me to get a plumber in! I was so taken aback with how kind he was. He never treated me with anything except pure respect and politeness! This is the type of employee Lifetime Solutions needs to keep! Hector Tovar is a true asset to Lifetime Solutions! read more

I have a couple issues with this company. 1) there seems to be a high turnover with their water technicians. 2) dealing with the Victorville, CA headquarters can be difficult. There seems to be a lack of coordination between their service and scheduling departments. I find it odd that I have to call them to schedule an appointment. Apparently, business is good for them or they get people on their monthly pay schedule so there is no need to maintain business accounts and customer satisfaction. That could just be the model they use and I am just expecting more for my money. iDK. 3) they use to have my credit card billed monthly but I stopped that when they missed scheduling my quarterly servicing twice. Your better off paying when they provide the service they agreed to according to their contract. Additionally, when I first started my service, it was contracted for once every four months. Then without my knowledge or approval, they changed the service contract to once every four months. Other than that, the system is good. A bit pricy and salt bridges can be a hassle, but I'm satisfied with the water quality. The only suggestion that I can make to Lifetime Solutions is that they give the customer a call if they miss scheduling for their service. I don't think that is asking too much. read more

We have a Rain Soft system that was installed with this company in late Spring of this year. Install went well, we are happy with the system. We noticed dripping about 3 weeks ago that was not usual related to where the system drains. My husband called Lifetime Solutions and explained the problem. The representative explained that dripping is not normal for the system. She walked him through how to bypass system and made an appointment for service. Our service technician, Tony, was on time for service, courteous and professional. He was able to quickly determine the cause of the dripping, which was a bad pressure valve. Pressure should be between 60-80, ours was at 120, this damaged our system and put us at risk for flooding in our home. The valve was replaced as well as pistons in the system, there was no more leaking. He took the time to go over settings with the Rain Soft machine and answer questions I had. I was only charged for the part even though the part is original to the house and not apart of the install of the Rain Soft system. We were new to their services still and they appreciated us as customers. I feel confident that should we need service again we can rely on Lifetime Solutions to assist us with our Rain Soft system. read more

We receive excellent service on a consistent basis from Lifetime Solutions for our Rain Soft system. Each year we keep calling back for regular maintenance because of the quality of the service and the personnel who deliver it. We just finished our fifth year with our system. This year Martin G. changed out our carbon filtration, purged the system, and changed the filters on the reverse osmosis system. He kept us updated on each step with courtesy and professionalism. He even asked if we wanted to keep the water that he would purge from the purified water tank, instead of just letting it run down the drain. That's very conscientious because we use the water from the tank during routine flushes to water our plants due to the drought. When settling up the bill, Martin went over every step he took, and left detailed but understandable instructions on follow up steps once the system had time to regenerate. Within minutes of Martin's departure, we had a detailed invoice in email for our records. On top of everything else, their office staff are excellent as well. Very polite and professional in setting up service appointments. I am very happy to leave five stars for the entire Lifetime Solutions team. read more

After some difficulty with scheduling my appointment, the actual service experience was great. Martin was able to come within my preferred time-frame and called within the time frame the office said he would to let me know when he was coming. System is working well and we love our tasty water! Main reason for less than 5 stars is the scheduling. They don't allow you to choose morning or afternoon- only request and they will let you know that morning whether the service person can accommodate your request. This was frustrating for me, especially given that the time frame included waiting a couple weeks due to the full schedule others have mentioned. I had an additional problem where someone supposedly called to let me know they weren't coming on the first day we had scheduled but I received no call or message of any kind and when I called the office to confirm my appointment, the lady I spoke with seemed to be blaming me rather than apologizing or at least just trying to help me out. So I guess I'd give 2 stars for the office call and appointment scheduling experience (at least this one time) and 4-5 stars for the system itself and Martin's service call! read more

Hector (Tovar) did an excellent job, we were very pleased with his attention to detail. We began to have an issue with our refrigerator's ice maker and Hector was able to check out the problem and advise us the issue was coming from within the refrigerator and not the water system. Hector checked the system in the garage and adjusted the levels in order to make it more efficient. Hector also showed us how to properly change the water filters and how to check the PSI on the water tank under the sink. To go a step further, Hector labeled everything to help us with future services (We all know how it goes: the service guy explains everything before he leaves and one year later, WE'VE completely forgotten what was explained to us). Although it would be cheaper to simply change out the filters myself (now that I have been taught), I think I will continue having Lifetime Solutions do yearly check ups. The water softener system was an expensive investment to our house and I would hate to ruin it by taking the cheap route. I think paying the extra money is well worth it in order to keep the system running properly. read more

We had our two filters changed for our reverse osmosis system. I love that our home system beeped warning us that it needed maintenance. I was worried prior to the appointment that I would get a technician that wouldn't be willing to answer all my questions. If customers are going to be advocates for particular companies it is important for customers To feel comfortable asking a million questions. We want to know the exact condition our house is in as it is OUR home. Hector was my technician today and really took the time to make sure all my Rainsoft products were function at their optimal capacity. As a homeowner I feel great knowing that my money is well invested in a quality product with technicians that also care about my homes functionally as if it were their home. I learned so much about my own unit i.e. The amount of water usage my home uses and that my unit regenerates every so many days depending on water usage, leaving me more knowledgeable then when we initially bought the entire system! This rating applies to my two most recent service experiences. I have not had great experiences previously with the scheduling desk. Nor, with other service techs that have come to my house. The second most recent appointment went very well (after months of miscommunication with the service desk). The tech arrived on time, was efficient and explained the work that he had done for my Airmaster Much appreciated. A couple of weeks ago, Chuck Weygandt, Lifetime Service Pro, arrived at my house. Introduced himself, showed ID, and explained what he would be working on that day. He explained what he was doing, why he was doing, and about the water filter system. I was glad to hear that the carbon is made from coconut shells, a renewable source and biodegradable. He was friendly and professional. Then, something we all hope for, happened... He cleaned up after himself. There was no evidence of the work he did lingering in my yard when he left! WooHoo! Thank you Chuck, for restoring my faith in this company. So I had an appt for the company to service my water softener on a day I requested to be off half day from work. I was told that I would get a confirmation call between 8am and 10am but never received one and I didn't have their number because it was listed on the water softener. I was scheduled to be off from work at 12pm. As soon as I got home, I called the company and someone screwed up! Someone forgot to notify me that there were no techs available that day. I was a little mad becuase I wasted half my day from work, but the rep I spoke to was very apologetic and I appreciated that. We scheduled for the next Saturday and my tech called and arrived on the time he stated. His name is Martin. He was very polite and professional and I basically just watched him through the webcam in my garage without any hassle. He got done in less than 30 minutes and viola! My water softener was serviced. I waited a couple weeks to post this just in case but so far, everything is perfect! I only gave it four stars because of the company screw up but Martin gets a five star! Thanks read more

Jim was very thorough and informative. I appreciate the time he took to make sure I knew what to do with the equipment. While Jim was very thorough, I am seriously disappointed with the service I have not had since he was here. My under the sink drinking water filter stopped working in September. I called and had an appointment for my day off in October to get it fixed. The day came and went. When I called, I was informed no appointment had been made! I spoke to the service manager and he put an appointment for today. I told him the earliest I could be home was 3 and he said he'd make a note of it. Then, he had the gall to call me back and tell my payment for the month was late. The check was in the mail. It hadn't reached the office yet! When the service tech called to confirm (it wasn't Jim) he said there was no note and Friday's are always an early day. So now I've had no filtered drinking water for two months. I have been a loyal customer for 13 years. I've been on the service plan for at least 7. I am now researching other options. VERY disappointed. read more
