I've been to the Light Heart Coffee shop in Scottsdale and enjoyed it so I was excited to hear they opened one in Gilbert. My husband and I had just finished a round of golf nearby and I was looking for caffeine and some treats. We decided to hit up Light Heart Coffee. The space has similar vibes to their Scottsdale location. I love the clean and stylish aesthetic. The staff was friendly. I ordered a raspberry pop tart and their seasonal coconut flavor, "Island Time" in a matcha. The raspberry pop tart was delicious and is from a local bakery, Suss Pastries, which I'm a fan of. I'm a sucker for homemade poptarts. However, the matcha didn't do it for me. Not sure if it was the coconut flavor or the matcha, but it didn't hit the spot. Next time, I'll stick to their coffee since I know it's good!

We have been to the light heart Scottsdale coffee location a few times and have really enjoyed it there. Our visit to the Gilbert spot was different. Their Gilbert café has a perfect corner location just off Gilbert Road in the downtown corridor. We visited this bright and cozy coffee shop on April 30th. I ordered the 12 oz. Rabbit Trail espresso drink ($7) because the menu mentioned homemade carrot cake syrup and walnut. Unfortunately, the carrot cake flavor was barely noticeable, and the walnut topping was missing entirely -- which was the main reason I chose the drink. My daughter ordered the Spring Fling specialty drink ($7). She could mostly taste lemon rind, while the syrup flavor itself seemed absent. With that said, the poppy seed and lemon garnish on top of the foam was very pretty. The space was pleasant enough, but for us, it lacked a memorable atmosphere or vibe that made us want to stay. While drinking our beverages, we agreed that we probably wouldn't go out of our way to return. Free parking is available either in the lot behind the building or along the street.

This coffee shop is so cute! The girls working were really sweet and pretty quick for a busy Friday morning! As far as drinks and food, the pastries were SO good. Probably the highlight of the visit was their chai muffin and date pop tart looking dish. The coffee was strong but the flavor was lacking, my husbands peach coffee had no actual peach flavor to it despite the appearance. Same with the matchas my sister and I got, it looked like it would taste a lot more like the flavor than it really did. We'd still go back though!

I enjoyed my visit to this fairly new coffee shop to downtown Gilbert. The coffee was decent and I really enjoyed the matcha (yes, I had to try two drinks haha!). I also ordered a breakfast item. It was a scramble bowl type thing. It was very tasty, but way too expensive for the tiny cup you get. So I would not order food again, but I will definitely be back for the matcha and the atmosphere. The staff were efficient and the seating was abundant. During the cooler months there are also nice seats outside. A nice addition to the downtown scene.

Never noticed that the cookie dough place swapped out for a coffee shop, so we tried it out. Fast, friendly service. It's really cozy inside as well. We got the nitros, mine with vanilla, hers with just stevia. They both tasted pretty close to the same, but that being said, they were both delicious and some of the better nitros I've had. Better than Starbucks at least. Unfortunately one coffee was dropped and we cried at the memorial.... But we'll be back to try again

I have been wanted to try this coffee for sometimes but every time was a long lines and I gave up, but something about this spot and I have to come back again and yes, finally ! If you are a Matcha mania, you don't want to miss out to give it a try here, it's well balanced , not too sweet which I love it. The service is top-notch , fast and very friendly. The coffee shop has both indoor and outdoor area for big and small groups to choose for, it's open space with a window glass which make you feel comfortable and very relaxed. Come and check this place out-- it's just perfect to start your day.

This place was great! Light Heart has been on my list for a while now, and I was excited to see they were close by an appointment I had that morning! I came by on a weekday around 9am and had no problem finding street parking. There is indoor/outdoor seating and the whole place was bright and clean. I decided to try one of their seasonal specials called Rabbit Trail which had their homemade carrot cake syrup. It was delicious, and I loved the candied walnuts on the side. They offer their special drinks made with either espresso or matcha which is nice (I choose espresso). Everyone working was super friendly, and my drink came up quickly. They also had some delicious looking sweet treats that I'll have to come back and try!

Stopped for coffee and the line was long! Probably with it being fairly new and with lots of hype surrounding it's opening. We were not able to know what was available until we got closer to the counter where the menu & specialty drinks were. The coffee selection and variety was fair. Ordered the brown sugar macadamia latte which was creamy, smooth and delicious. My daughter had one of their more popular drinks the blueberry cobbler which she really liked. Also, if you are a matcha fan this is the place for you, organic & sourced right from Japan. Food-they offer a breakfast sandwich and a burrito that have hash browns inside. Some fresh pastries are available also, but sell out early. Your best bet (to ensure you get one) is to beat the rush! The service was friendly, the atmosphere can be rushed or relaxed (depending on the day & time). Convenient spot whether choosing to sit indoors (small space) outdoors on their large patio, or even if you're just browsing around downtown. Parking can be a problem, again depending on the time of day.

I love Lightheart Coffee in Scottsdale was so excited to see that they opened another location in Gilbert. I love that they have a variety of housemade syrups and don't charge extra for non-dairy milk. We went in around noon on a Sunday and the line was out the door and they were out of one of their seasonal drink offerings. The staff are very professional, the drinks are delicious and not overly sweet, and there is quite a bit of seating indoors and outdoors. What a great addition to downtown Gilbert!

My daughter loves Light Heart and raves about it often. So when I was visiting her we headed over. The matcha is her fave so her ordered both their blueberry and a vanilla matcha. Both drinks were phenomenal. Service was great and o loved the vibe inside. Seating was great to hang out and chill or you can get your drink to go and check out some of the local shops nearby. I'll definitely be back when on this side of the valley.

Stopped in early on a Saturday, wasn't too busy. Good variety of matcha and coffee. We got 2 lattes (carrot cake which is seasonal and the berry cobbler). Both weren't overly sweet and really delicious! Also got a breakfast sandwich and a brekkie cup. Everything came out pretty quickly. Very cute inside, but gets a little loud. Overall I was impressed by the quality of the coffee and the food. Great location if you're going to the farmers market as well!

The tea party matcha was really good! Good blueberry flavor and the rooibos is a nice touch. There is a lot of seating both indoor and outdoor, would be a great place to study. Right in the heart of downtown gilbert with a nice view. Drinks were served super quickly.

I've been to other locations but this was my second time at the Gilbert location. I think the owners are doing much better with staffing because the line wasn't wrapped around the building like it normally is and I was able to order + get a coffee in about 20 mins or so which is definitely much shorter than usual when it comes to their other locations. For the most part every single drink I have gotten here has been nothing short of amazing. If you don't like the drink they are always so helpful and willing to remake something else for you. My favorite is the berry cobbler- never in a million years did I think blueberry and coffee would go well together but it's such a perfect combo! (Even good with matcha too!) This location probably has the most seating out of all their locations- it's always so sweet to visit! The back area is perfect if you are needing to take some work calls or looking for a quiet space! There is a big public parking lot right around the corner!

If you're in the East Valley looking for a beautifully designed coffee shop to help you create or connect, Light Heart Coffee in Gilbert is the one. When you walk in, one of the first things you notice is the bar: it stretches from the ordering counter all the way down to where you pick up your drink, and you can just stand there and watch the baristas work their magic. They also have retail coffee on display (it's a bit hidden - have fun discovering that) , so if you fall in love with something you're drinking, you can grab a bag on the way out. My favorite part was the quiet study room in the back. Tables, chairs, ceramics for sale, I felt it was designed to be a place you can quietly disappear to, and it really delivers on that. I didn't expect it, which made it better. The merch is solid too: shirts, mugs, stuff that actually looks good rather than something they just slapped a logo on. The patio out front is super spacious as well. Its set back a little from the street so you get a buffer, but you can still see what's going on. Really fun spot to sit with people. I got my standard doppio: clean, well-pulled, no complaints, and ended up parking in the back for longer than expected. Phenomenal natural natural light, comfortable decor, and a space to be inspired and create. Planned to stay for one hour; stayed for almost three. Light Heart Coffee is genuinely worth the visit. Recently tried this location after trying the Scottsdale location a couple years ago. I was not impressed with the Scottsdale location at all so I was hesitant to try it out again here in Gilbert, but I had such a nice experience! The location is great, upon walking in, the space is absolutely adorable and so cute! I loved the indoor/outdoor feel it had with the garage doors and the space was very aesthetic! The customer service was fabulous and he helped me choose the Rabbit Trail latte which is basically a carrot cake latte. It was so delicious and the cups are really cute too! I loved it! The music playing was great, space was clean, and I truly enjoyed my whole experience! read more

I heard of this spot and had to come. I tried the chai with Log Cabin flavors and it was delicious. They said the chai is locally made which I love. Their cups are also so cute. I also tried the log cabin as a matcha and it was also so yummy. The matcha is definitely a higher quality. The service on top of the yummy drinks was so quick and friendly! Came on a Friday morning, no line. The store was aesthetically pleasing and felt inviting however the staff could use a bit more training on a friendly welcome and customer service social cues. If you notice a customer waiting for something, ask how you can help them. We had ordered a pastry item that was meant to be warmed up, waited awhile for it before we saw a few breakfast burritos being served out - when finally asking about it, they simply put the pastry item in the bag and handed it to us. Didn't ask if it was suppose to be toasted, nothing. We waited awhile for this last item of our order, to only be handed it cold. We needed to leave so I wasn't going to wait around another 15 to have it heated. So I didn't bother to ask for it to be warmed up but the time wasted was a little frustrating. I also felt compared to the Scottsdale location, my drink did not taste to standard. read more

Sadly I went for the first time yesterday and got a banana foster and state fair latte. The banana foster latte had no banana taste and she didn't even put dried banana on top, it tasted like a normal iced latte! Also the state fair had no caramel walls :( was really disappointed especially because of all the great things I've heard but it definitely didn't live up to its reputation! read more

Wow I love this light heart location!! I've been a light heart fan since there was only one location and when they opened one by my house I was so excited!!! They blow me away with how good their drinks are and how kind their staff is! I come here often and never leave disappointed!!! Chase is such a kind barista I love her!! Their breakfast food is really good too! I like the burrito and I love their hot sauce they use! I think you can even buy it there! So so good!! Great place to come to work or hangout with friends!! There is a lot of cute things around the area too, it's a good place to grab a drink and walk around! read more

I really wanted to give this place a lower review because the wait was pretty long... but I just can't. I'm still thinking about the berry cobbler latte and the pastries--they were that good. Absolutely delicious and totally worth it. My husband and kids got the breakfast burrito and loved it too, which says a lot. Everyone left happy and full. Yes, the wait can be long, but the quality of the food and drinks makes up for it. This is one of those places you keep craving after you leave. Highly recommend! read more

I have been going to the Scottsdale Light Heart locations for years and I have always been down to make the drive because I LOVE their drinks. So when I found out they were opening one in Gilbert I was ecstatic because it's so close to me. However, this is my third time at this location and I really wanted a redemption from the last two times, but unfortunately the mark was missed. The location and the ambience is great, so I will give them that! Not that I need 5 star customer service from the baristas, but they always look miserable and not very welcoming. The drinks are also just not consistent with the ones in Scottsdale. They taste watered down :( I will continue to support Light Heart because I am a real fan of the OG locations, but I am hoping the Gilbert location can be redeemed! read more

I really liked the lightheart in Scottsdale and was happy to have a closer option. The vibe is cute, very aesthetic, and the drinks are flavorful without being too sweet. I got the Log Cabin iced latte with oat milk. Unfortunately, when I came the roll up door was open and the cafe was freezing, which made it really hard to relax or work on anything. There's not a lot of outlet options, so be sure to come with devices charged if you want to get work done. Also with the mid century natural ascetics you sacrifice comfortable seating... boo. So excited that Light Heart Coffee has a Gilbert location now! The new location is beautifully decorated and surprisingly big inside, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating too. We visited the day after their grand opening (on November 23rd, 2025) so there was a pretty long line outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the staff were able to take orders & make all the drinks perfectly! The staff were super friendly and able to answer any questions and offer recommendations. We both tried something new --the Narnia and the Sugar n Spice with espresso, hot -- and the drinks tasted really good! I love that they use Moxie coffee for their espresso, the quality is excellent, and if matcha is more your thing, you can literally see them whisking it right in front of you! read more

Love this shop. Seasonal drinks are always delicious and the baked goods are on point. Super cute place. My only critique is to have staff visibly wash hands or use gloves when taking the beans out of the bags. I asked for decaf and the barista used her barehands to scoop out the beans. Still love it and never saw that in all the times I've gone. read more

Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Good coffee. Here is my only issue...The pregnant barista needs safety training on food and coffee making. I mentioned to the cashier that the baristas was wiping her nose with her hand and licked her fingers while making coffees. Yuck!!! Nothing was done about it. That barista is still there wiping her nose . Not sure I'll return! read more

Light Heart is my new obsession! I love this location being in cute downtown Gilbert. It had plenty of seating with outdoor space as well for my little crazy toddler to run around while I sipped my delicious berry cobbler latte the workers are all so friendly and made my drink so fast! I was a little disappointed with the service and my drink today. We came in around 11:00 and were told there were no breakfast burritos, which was totally fine, but the way it was communicated felt very firm and a bit rude. I ordered a large blueberry cobbler matcha, and unfortunately it was extremely milky and didn't taste like matcha at all. The color was almost completely white with just a hint of green, and I ended up throwing it away and going across the street to get coffee. After spending $9 on the drink, I really expected better. This was disappointing because normally your drinks are pretty good, but after this experience, I probably won't be returning. They need to add more Matcha in their drinks, if they're going to be charging an arm and a leg. Especially for the largest size they offer. After reading some reviews, it seems this is a common issue Keep in mind and nobody else was in line so they were only focusing on my drink read more

If a Customer pays by Apple pay, they should be refunded or credited in the same way. Seems like a space intended for Co-working or digital nomad types as there were about 4 people with laptops and headphones sipping on drinks. We did not have a reservation and the only open seating was at the bar or high tops in the bar area. We were quickly greeted and our server was incredibly on top of it! I noticed that the main menu had a line at the bottom that stated a gluten-free menu would be available upon request. I did ask to see this menu as gluten-free is my dietary preference, not an allergyand I was brought a complementary gluten-free bun instead of the pretzel bread. I thanked our server and told him not to worry that it was just a preference and he told me that he treats all gluten friendly requests as an allergy. I really appreciated the care and concern he had for my health and well-being. This is unprecedented at most restaurants. They had a very extensive gluten-free menu and I can't wait to go back and try so many more items. We did try the Leonard burger and made quite a few modification requests - all of which were 100% accommodated. This burger was so incredibly juicy! My entire hand was dripping by the time I got done eating it. Everything else we tried was delicious. I have no complaints or suggestions for improvement and will definitely be returning soon!

The berry flavor was actually balanced not one of those drinks where they dump in so much syrup it tastes like melted candy. You could still taste the matcha, and the berry cobbler flavor complemented it without completely taking over. The surprise? There was a subtle cinnamon note that reminded me of the milk left at the bottom of a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the best possible way. Cozy, nostalgic, and somehow still sophisticated. I first tried Light Heart Coffee in Scottsdale a couple years ago, and I was stoked when they announced the Gilbert location.
