Absolutely love a good slice and a new artisan pizzeria, but when you get there at 7pm and they've completely run out of slices, then I'm pretty baffled. There's just so many other good pizza shops doing the same stuff and can keep up with demand. Can't speak for the food since I didn't get to try it. But operationally, there's the Instagram hype stuff, and then there's actual good establishment stuff. Not sure where this one falls yet but hopefully just ironing out new opening jitters.

What a great addition to Frankford Avenue! I love how you can order by the slice and don't have to commit to an entire pie. There is seating indoors and outdoors, they also have Murphy-bed style table tops you can stand and eat on. The menu is very straight forward and food comes out fast. I appreciate the Mike's Extra Hot Spicy bottles you can grab for your table - careful, its quite spicy but oh so good. We tried the tomato pie, funghi and cheese ricotta. All excellent!

Food came out quick and service was friendly. Food was great. I liked the cheesesteak more than the pizza. But wouldn't say no to another slice. The funghi was my favorite.

I have seen several positive reviews on instagram about this newly opened pizzeria. A couple of friends also gave positive reviews. It's nicely located near the Berks station. As soon as you exit the station, follow a small pathway crossing a small athletic field . I was there on Sunday afternoon. It was busy but not overly crowded. You can order the pizza in a slice so you can try each kind. I didn't have to wait for a long time. The guy who handed my order is super sweet with a big friendly smile. I got tomato pie, funghi, pepperoni long hot, and broken burrata. All of them are warm. The dough is sourdough based so it has a unique sourdough taste. Thin crust but very sturdy, crunchy, and doesn't flop. Tomato pie: for me, it's an appetizer because it's very light. Funghi: I love the umami taste from the mushrooms. Burrata: it's topped with fresh arugula and fresh burrata with balsamic vinegar. The bitterness from arugula is balanced with the sweetness from the balsamic. Wow, it's a salad on a pizza. My husband tried the long hot one and he said it's spicy. I highly recommend eating the pizza there because it tastes so much better when it's warm.

this place has been on my list for the longest time & i finally was in the area to stop by for lunch! it did NOT disappoint. so glad i popped by when i did but it definitely gets busy. i got the broken burrata & the pepperoni & stracciatella. both had a thin and crispy crust and the pizza sauce is more on the acidic side which i prefer. it was so delicious! both came with a drizzle of hot honey which paired perfectly! they did not skimp on the toppings as well. i rlly enjoyed the broken burrata as it came with a lot of arugula which i loved. i would totally recommend this place for a quick bite!

Heard the hype. Ordered a cheese + white pie when I found myself conveniently in the area. Pickup was quick/prompt. Pizza was scorching, had to steal a bite in the car as I had an hr trip home. Savory, crunchy, cheesy, delicious and the bread was 10/10. Highly recommend eating the pie right out of the oven. That's when it's truly magical. Solid place for a good pie in Philly!

    Pepperoni with long hots slice

There are so many good pizza spots around Fishtown but this one might be my new favorite. We stopped by for dinner and got 2 slices: the burrata ($6) and the pepperoni with long hots ($5). Both slices were amazing! We were particularly impressed with the tomato flavor of the sauce and the thinness & crispness of the crust. The first bite was so crunchy, it was almost chip-like (in a good way!). The burrata slice was simple but very well done- tomato, burrata, arugula, and honey. So delicious. The pepperoni with long hots was equally as good. The peppers were thinly cut so the flavor was well distributed throughout the slice. Pepperoni cups were also good quality. If you like a crunchy crispy pizza- this is your place!

My husband and I popped in and it was pretty busy for a week night. The person working the counter was super friendly and helpful. We ordered one pie and it was made fairly quickly and we didn't need to wait too long despite the restaurant being swamped. The restaurant was really clean and has a decent amount of seating for the size of the layout. We loved the pizza we ordered and will definitely be back soon.

Excellent pizzeria with unique toppings, such as the burrata. Atmosphere was casual and lively. Service was quick with a custom pie done within 15 minutes. The burrata pizza was delicious and the pepperoni was top notch; the little ones that curl up when baked to perfection. Will come again!

Ok, I really wanted to love this place and I think I just got the wrong thing. I got a full pie of pepperoni long hots and I felt like it didn't have enough long hots or hot honey so that made it kind of meh because of our expectations for the toppings specifically. The price was really good IMO at $26 for the whole thing, I'm going to go back and just try something different and I'm sure it'll be good

I absolutely love this place. The pizza is absolutely delicious! The crust is very crispy!! We got pepperoni, long hot pepperoni, Pepperoni ricotta and broken burrata!! 10/10

All three slices were great. Thin and crispy but the broken burrata had the best flavor

The moment we arrived, we were greeted by a bartender whose hostility was immediate and inescapable. His disdain for customers was so palpable that nearly every patron at the bar was openly discussing it, people were literally afraid to order drinks from him. He met every request with eye rolling contempt, as if our very presence was an imposition. Later in the night, when I ordered a drink from a different spot at the bar, he barked at me for doing so. Apparently that wasn't "how things worked here." Never mind that the bar was nearly empty and obviously unassigned seating. The pettiness was staggering. That was my breaking point. I called him out for his abusive treatment of paying customers.. Instead of addressing the obvious problem, a manager approached me with a threat: "We know how he is, but if you don't relax, you're gonna have to leave." Let that sink in. Rather than deal with a employee with an apparent pattern of hostility, they chose to intimidate a customer for voicing a legitimate complaint. Multiple patrons actually thanked me afterward, they'd endured the same treatment all night but lacked the nerve to speak up. I documented the experience on their Instagram. They deleted it immediately. This isn't a bad night...it's a culture problem. Paulie Gees has chosen protection over accountability, and their customers are the ones paying the price. I won't be back, and I'd urge others to take their business elsewhere.

The dish was delicious. I enjoyed my plate of sea-inspired tonnarelli nero. Bay scallops in crab ragu with fennel sofrito. Served with squid ink pasta that imparted a slight brininess. The pasta was cooked pangrattato style-- coated in panko bread crumbs and garlic. The dish had many flavors but they all came back to the theme. Creamy Oregano Salad: very interesting. small shaves of mushroom and fennel. very slight bitter taste. oddly addictive. the olives were my favorite part. i'd consider these friendly olives to those suspicious of olives. and the olives are cut in halves, so easy to pick out. so are the mushrooms. easy split for a table of four. beyond that i'd get two. *ADD ON* pickled chilies: very good. I suggest adding this to the pie. they are green, spicy, delicious, absolutely lovely. Corn Pizza: all together very delicious. my favorite part are the cherry tomatoes on top, which I would really like to be an add on option to other pies. they are the perfect flavor and size. i'm not particularly a tomato fan, especially whole. these are a rare exception.
