The best damn barbecue in all of East Idaho. Hands-down awesome! I came in here expecting a a hole in the wall barbecue average Joe tasting place, but boy was I surprised I took that first bite of brisket. That meat just melted in my mouth! the portions were perfect as was the prices, hell I would've paid more. This was perfection in the way barbecue should be. I'm looking forward to my next trip up there. If you haven't tried this place and are from out of the area you gotta stop in and try it. You won't be disappointed. I ordered 3 of the brisket sandwiches. 2 of them had a lot of fat. One was 1/3rd fat and the other was half fat. At least the dogs were happy. If there is a next time I will stand there and watch them make the sandwich. read more

Staff was very unprofessional. They ran out of food, and then upon entering told us that, "this is good for us"... I understood that a bbq joint like this can run out if food. And if it has been explained that way, this review wouldn't even be a review. However, the smug response after I said, "oh, well that's not good" of "well that's good for us" from their staff as we had ourselves and 4 hungry children was amazingly off putting and unprofessional. Been here now a couple times and wish I lived closer because it's the best barbecue that I've ever had! Noticed it because of the bright mural on the outside walls and the inside is also nicely done up. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork are incredible and we also really enjoyed the sausages. Got the sampler with a group of 4 and it should have been enough, but we had to go back for another half pound of brisket. read more

Found a new BBQ favorite! My hubby dove into the sampler and fell in love with the array of meats offered. He stated that he could forgo the chicken, although it was tender and juicy. The Corn salad was strange and he was unsure that he even liked it or the beans that are Texas style and admitted he wasn't a fan. He did however enjoy the coleslaw. I ordered the 2 meat plate and tried the brisket and pulled pork which are gluten free and absolutely delicious!!! So tender and far from dry. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. Plan on getting there early as they do run out of items. We will definitely return again and again! read more

Absolutely amazing BBQ! Their smoked chicken and turkey were delicious, and the smoked mac and cheese made a perfect side dish. My wife enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich! We also tried their corn salad, and it will be a staple in our meal for our next visit! Must try! The service was also exceptionally pleasant and the venue was comfortable. A little on the expensive side, which is to be expected for a BBQ joint, but even still I felt that there was an up charge for everything. Even French fries were listed as a "premium side", requiring an up-charge. Portion sizes could have been larger too. I got the three-meat plate with sausage, brisket, and chicken. Overall, it was pretty good, but I felt the brisket was a little drier than I would have liked. Maybe I had higher expectations than I should have for this place. All things considered, the food was good and we left happy. This is a great little gem tucked away in Rigby. We'll be back for sure. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. One other car in the parking lot besides ours. Waited a bit before someone came out of the back room then 2 others came out. We said it was our first time eating here. Crickets....no response or even recommendations. I asked if they had burnt ends. She said no and basically waved to the menu board and seemed put out from our indecision. I am Keto so I chose the plain chicken and asked for 1 pound. My husband got the brisket plate. I sat at a table after he ordered for us then he went to the restroom while our lunch was being made. We get our food and I had a couple pieces of pulled chicken stacked on top of each other to make it appear taller. I asked him what he ordered for me and he said 1 pound of chicken. No way was that even 1/2 a pound. I asked to see the receipt which was $42.00!! They charged $16 for my "pound" of chicken....twice. Asked for a refund and it took all 3 of them to figure that out. No apologies. My chicken was so dry and tough, it got stuck in my teeth like stringy jerky!! I wish I were exaggerating. I've never had BBQ chicken like this, ever. My husband's brisket was 75% fat and it was cold. First impression will be the last impression. read more

Now this is a proper Barbecue joint! We stopped in here on a Friday afternoon after a retirement ceremony and it hit the spot! It was our first and last time at this restaurant. We arrived at 7:30 pm and unbeknownst to us the place closes at 8 pm. However, that doesn't excuse the fact that our food was cold with the exception of the fries or the atrocious customer service. Our experience was below subpar. The server had an attitude as she dumped the plates at our table and she was loud about the fact that we were the last customers. "Sorry" we decided to be patrons of the establishment. My pulled pork sandwich was pretty good other than the piece of bone that I bit into. I really came for the ribs so I guess it serves me right for getting what i didn't want in the first place. I really have to question how you run a BBQ restaurant and run out of ribs, chicken, and mac & cheese. It was 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. Was it really that busy that all of the favorites were gone by the time we got here? To add icing on the cake, when my girlfriend had to settle for pork rather than ribs, her two meat plate was served on top of a slice of bread. Not an amazing sight for someone with Celiac. Nowhere on the menu did it say that the meal was served with bread. Shame on us for not pointing out that the meal of meat needed to be gluten free. Two thumbs down. read more

I've had BBQ in several states including Texas and Lil' Mikes ranks right up there at the top of the best I've had. The brisket is amazing!! But don't skip the other meats because you would be missing out. In Idaho tradition they also have a great loaded potato. If you're in the area you must stop and give them a try, but get there early or you might not get everything you want to, they tend to run out of some of their meats early. read more

We tried this out for the first time and found it to be great. Both my girlfriend and I had brisket sandwiches at the suggestion of the young man cutting the meat. Friendly staff. We will be going back to try the other items. Our first time trying we were told that they were sold out of the 'good stuff' brisket, ribs and pulled pork.
