UPDATE: I originally left a lower review after a very disappointing experience with a rude employee. However, I want to update it because the owner personally reached out to me after reading my review, and I was genuinely impressed by how she handled the situation. While my original concerns were very real, the way they were addressed made all the difference. She called me, listened to my concerns, and never once made me feel dismissed. She was kind, understanding, and took the time to hear me out. While my original experience was frustrating, the owner showed a true level of aloha, professionalism, and customer care that completely changed my impression. When I mentioned that my favorite item on the menu was the was the Blueberry French Toast, she generously offered to treat me to one on my next visit, which was incredibly thoughtful but, more importantly, made me feel heard and valued as a customer. Mistakes and bad interactions can happen anywhere. What matters is how a business responds, and I truly appreciate the effort the owner made to address my concerns and make things right. Her kindness, accountability, and genuine willingness to listen meant a lot. Because of the way this was handled, I will absolutely be giving them another chance. The owner demonstrated the kind of aloha and commitment to her customers that is becoming increasingly rare, and I truly appreciate the time she took to personally reach out and turn a negative experience into a positive one. Thank you for listening and for showing that customer feedback matters.

I'm sorry I really wanted to love this place. Our server was so nice and very attentive. A+ there. Ordering using the app and being able to use Apple Pay another plus! But the food ... 1. I ordered lilikoi pancakes and they brought out Mac nut, when I pointed this out the server took it in the back, the chef just put on some lilikoi syrup on and sent it right back. So I don't think the order was correct. 2. The pancakes were horrible, thick and dense and not edible :/ the portion is large, 3 big pancakes but it's so dry it's just not a good dish. 3. Tater tots, they were cold and the seasoning was way too salty/garlicy - we ate 2 and even tried one from the bottom in case the seasoning was too much on the top but to no avail 4. We also ordered the avo toast and two lattes Which were both ok.

First time at Lilikoi Kitchen. We went for a late lunch/early dinner and the restaurant was packed. The restaurant overall isn't that big. You can order from the cash register or QR code on the table and pay online. It took about 30-40 minutes to get our food. But everything came out hot and fresh. The portions are huge so it's good to share.

We came here for brunch yesterday. It's our first time here. The portion of our meals were big. The food tasted good, and the worker was quick and friendly. It wasn't too busy but there was a good amount of people coming in and out. Service was quick and place was clean. We would come back when we are on this side of the island.

Late lunch in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawai'i... Lilikoi Kitchen was bookmarked so long ago that I don't remember how I heard about this cafe! Townies (Honolulu residents) usually dislike driving over the Pali, so I asked my friend, Donna, to go with me. She's so amicable! =) Thanks, Donna! Outside, there's free, shared parking next to Jamba Juice. Inside, it's cozy and quaint! Customers can order at the counter, order via QR code at the table, or order at the kiosk. I ordered Garlic Shrimp Plate that included rice, macaroni salad, and green salad. The garlic shrimp had an unusual breading that seemed starchy or undercooked - but I ate them all becausethe shrimp (unshelled) were plump and fresh. I liked the green salad a lot! It had a tangy lilikoi dressing! I was so full from the Garlic parmesan fries (really good) that I took the rice and macaroni salad home. Donna shared the Duck Fat fried rice - very rich and tasty! Thank you! When I return, I would order something else on the menu! Service was helpful and polite!

I had been to this restaurant once before when they first opened, but didn't get a chance to write a review. I happened to be in the Kailua area again and decided to stop by for breakfast. They're located in a small shopping center across from the Kailua post office and next door to Teddy's Burgers & Tori Richard. Free parking is available in the shared lot, although somewhat limited. The hours on their door say they open at 9am. I waited outside for 5-10 min past 9am (in the cold windy & rainy weather), and finally they opened. Basically you order at the counter and they bring your food to you, although you can also order via kiosk, online or QR code. I was craving mac nut pancakes, so I ordered their LK Signature Pancake Plate for $18.99. It also comes with eggs & protein. I requested my eggs sunny and asked if they had Portuguese sausage. The employee at the counter said yes, so I ordered that as my protein. When the employee brought my food to me, I noticed that the sausage was a breakfast sausage patty and not Portuguese sausage. When I pointed that out to her, she said, "no, this is Portuguese sausage". I took a bite and it was definitely not Portuguese sausage. Regarding the pancakes, it was a generous portion but they were too doughy and dense, as opposed to fluffy and light. The mac nut sauce was good though.

This little kitchen packed in some delicious flavor. This location was poppin at lunch time. We ordered at the table with the QR code. The serving sizes were very large! You will not leave here hungry ! The turkey BLTA pannani was a great combination of flavors . The side salad had a light fruity dressing. The fries were super crispy - cooked to perfection. Everything was great. It took a little bit for the food to come out probably 15-20 min but the place was packed when we got there.

I stopped by here yesterday afternoon with my father for lunch. We had been on Kailua Beach that morning and when it was time for lunch I fired up Yelp. After looking through a couple of places I ultimately found Lilikoi Kitchen. This restaurant sits in a strip mall in Kailua and the inside can seat around 30 people. At the back of the restaurant is where you order and they have a touchscreen where you can do it without interacting with anyone. For lunch on this day I ultimately went with the Lilikoi chicken farm salad while my dad went with the LK's fish sandwich. The menu described my meal as mixed greens, tomato, cucumbers, shaved carrots, house torn croutons, lilikoi vinaigrette, and griddled chicken, and my dad's as sriracha aioli, pickled cucumber, American cheese, spring mix, and a brioche roll. While I normally don't order a salad out, I am glad that I did here. My chicken ended up being cooked nicely and I liked the flavor of the spices on it. All of the vegetables felt fresh and I appreciated having something healthy and green, which I often find difficult to get in Hawaii. The croutons added a nice texture to the salad and I absolutely loved the dressing. It was creamy with a good lilikoi flavor without being overly punchy or sweet. If I had one complaint it would be that I wish my salad had been dressed with more of it. My father also enjoyed his fish sandwich and liked the greens that came on his plate as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my dad and I enjoyed our meals and I like that it was filling but still felt healthy.

Been here a few times... Chill local spot. Good selection of sandwiches, etc. Self order process works great. Service is ok. That lilikoi dressing is very good goes well with anything! We've had a few of their sandwiches and some quesadillas - all we're good. Acai bowls are pretty good as well. We sometimes get it for dessert. The ice cream mixed in is a nice touch.

VERY IMPRESSED! Came to Lilikoi Kitchen expecting a simple meal, but what we got was a flavor experience. The eatery is unassuming; simple and casual. You can order at the counter, via QR code at your table (Toast app) or via a touch screen. We ordered the wagyu pastrami melt and the shrimp curry. Both were enormous! The sandwich came in two giant halves paired with half a plate of mixed greens drizzled with a lilikoi dressing so good I could drink it. The shrimp curry plate came with lots of shrimp, rice and a very well-made mac salad. As someone who can eat a lot, I'm always a bit surprised when I need a box to take food home. Of course, the most important aspect of a restaurant is how good the food is. Both dishes were made with care and tasted great. Service was friendly as well. Only downside is there's no restroom in the restaurant (my hands were not the most pristine after that delicious pastrami melt). Overall, Lilikoi Kitchen is great, and I would return without question.

Love love love Lilikoi Kitchen, from day one at their previous location too. The food, just keeps getting better and better! At this location on Kailua Road, there's much more seating available inside, with both bench and chair seating. It's self-ordering, in that you walk up to the front counter to place your order, get a ticket number and the server brings it out to you. Or you can sit at a table, use the QR code to order, and they'll bring the food out to you as well. If you're having difficulty with either, a server would also gladly help answer any questions or ring you up on their end. Just have a little patience as it seems there's only 1-2 people out front with the remainder staff members cranking out the food in the back. Comfort food at its finest. The garlic shrimp plate that I ordered was very filling with creamy, buttery, garlic shrimp on top a bed of rice, next to a big serving of mac salad with a side salad topped with their signature lilikoi dressing. A little messy when peeling off the shrimp shells, but the trick is to use one hand to do that, and your fork as a tool with the other, so that you're not getting both of your hands dirty, unless you like that kind of thing, then go for it! All in all, there's parking located directly in front of their shop, but also along the side by Down to Earth if you don't mind walking a little further. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

What a pleasant surprise to find this lovely cafe in Kailua! The breakfast choices were amazing and the portions large. I tried the avocado toast with breakfast tots with an iced coffee- delicious. The açaí bowl was small for $15 and didn't have much açaí, which was very disappointing. Honestly, Jamba Juice serves better açaí, so I'll just go there instead. The lilikoi lemonade was fine -- not bad, but nothing special or worth driving all the way to Kailua for. Overall, this place didn't live up to the reviews I read, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

I've ordered takeout from here twice, and both times has been excellent! I decided to try Lilikoi Kitchen after talking to Helen, one of their employees, during one of her visits to my workplace. The first time, I placed my order with an employee,. The second time I placed my order at the kiosk thing at the front counter. Both times I ordered the Wagyu Pastrami Melt with a side order of French fries. I don't know what kind of salt or seasoning they use on the French fries, but I rate it a 10/10! Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy! As for the Pastrami melt...it's one of the best things I've tasted in my life (and I'm an extremely picky eater)! read more

Went back for a redo and boy was I glad I did. The food was great. We loved the mahi-mahi melted in your mouth and the fries were outstanding. I am glad I gave it a second chance. After having experienced Chef Bianca's cooking at an event, I made a point to go and patronize her new Lilikoi Kitchen recently. I drove from the North Shore and was really impressed with the food. I had the most deliciously fresh mac nut Mahi Mahi, and as good as the fish and potatoes were, here lilikoi salad dressing is off the chain!!! It was well worth the drive and in addition to the good food, the parking, access and service were great! I genuinely cannot wait to go back and taste more of the menu. Can't say enough good things about this new hot spot in Kailua. read more

We came at a perfect time. No one was seated yet, not too many customers in line. I like how dine-in works as a "self-service". There's a sign by the register that tells you ways to order - either order at the kiosk for take out or each table has a dine-in QR code to scan. If the restaurant is full or half-full, it already gives a heads up of about how long to wait. We sat & ordered from our table, our food came out in a timely manner. The food was DELICIOUS! I got the duck fat fried rice loco moco, soooo ono. Their French toast was insane. It didn't need any syrup, she told us that they bake with butter and brown sugar, omg I highly recommend. (I wish I took a photo!!) Definitely worth a drive from the west side! Can't wait to come back. FYI: service dogs allowed only. :) read more

We were excited to try this place for brunch. We were not greeted upon entrance, you sit wherever in very tight unorganized seating arrangements, you must order from a QR code, but Daily Special menu is not online? Waters were dropped off at our table each of us separately getting a water at different times. Simple bacon, avocado toast took over 20 minutes, however the daily special menu took well over 40 minutes so we were sitting there wondering if our order was gonna even come? With that said when we went up to ask, one girl didn't even know what table we were. (There was only three tables going at the time) The other girl said in a sassy way... it's coming. I responded with OK and then turned and walked away. There was no yelling involved. When food is delivered the girl always go to the other tables not knowing where the order is even supposed to go???. So ... to be honest service was really, really bad. Energy of the wait staff was rude and poor! And based on the owner unaccountable response of this review, I would not go back nor recommend this place. Very sorry for the bad review but I wonder how many others have experienced this too? read more

What a gem! Saw the good reviews so decided to check out the website. The website is very well done and tells the story of the owner/chef very well. All of this together gave me a good feeling it would be a good experience - and it was! We arrived right at 9:00 when they opened and quickly ordered. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with smiles. Easy ordering at their counter kiosk, at your table, or they will take your order at the register. There are about 10 or so tables to sit at in the comfortable and clean seating area. Once the food arrived we were blown away. The portion sizes are very good and the flavors were phenomenal. We had the baked blueberry French toast and the avocado toast. Both had exceptional explosions of flavor - one savory and the other sweet. An amazing breakfast experience. The food is fine and it's a nice cafe vibe. Nothing to write home about. But I found them by searching dog friendly lunch on yelp and they are definitely not. They don't allow any dogs. We had a service dog and they wouldn't even let us have him, which is illegal. Yelp should def take them off the dog friendly list. read more

Sit down dinner quality meals without an upcharge! We had the shrimp and garlic cream spaghetti, Mac nut fresh fish, miso shrimp salad, and bbq kalua pork and bacon panini. Each dish was delicious. The cornbread was fantastic! If you have a food allergy, order at the counter. The ordering app doesn't have the full ingredients list or an option to add your allergy. New location means new menu items and OMG! They are knocking me out of the park again. The duck fat fried rice loco moco is no joke incredible. Generous portion and swimming in an incredible house gravy. We also tried the Italian sausage and kale soup and the house sausage was just as good. Herbaceous and savory, no notes. My go to is the cubano panini, but today I went for the chinese chicken salad. Well dressed and extremely textured, this salad is everything I want and none of what I don't. Hands down best loco moco (duck fat) on the island! This place is so ono! Their homemade chicken and dumpling soup is incredible! The pancakes are fluffy and so good with the Lilikoi sauce. Stumbled upon this on Yelp this am The LILIKOI got my attention! Not being a techie and preferring human contact, I ordered in person instead of QR codes or touch pad options Should you like tech, pls order your food to be directed to the table you select ( see QR and table # on placard) Was in the mood for a Cubano panini...it was DELISH! Crisp outer and packed with tasty fillings! Generous portion with a lovely leafy salad and some ONO dressing! Lilikoi iced tea was yummy..sweet but not TOO sweet! Hubs had the patty melt oozing wth cheese & caramelized onions The garlic fries had that nice crunchy coating which we love complete with garlic aioli dip. Excellent meal!! Just what we wanted after working hard clearing out the house yesterday morning! Go see Laura! Her lovely smile and warmth is what we all need everyday. They are all nice there! We made our first visit to Lilikoi Kitchen a few days ago, with no preconceived ideas of what to expect. But after a relaxed tasty breakfast I'm happy to share we had a wonderful experience. Everything (menu, atmosphere, friendly staff, & excellent food) was special. Kailua definitely has an assortment of good restaurants and now that list has another one. Lilikoi Kitchen needs to be tried, then you'll want to add it to your list "go-to" restaurants. A restaurant to also take friends to. read more

Already on our second visit, so yum, fresh, great quality and nice portions! The salad is so refreshing with their Lilikoi dressing, 7 nice sized shrimp on the plate. Delicious and well worth it! Oh and this Garlic Parmesan fries are so crunchy, tasty and delicious!! read more

First visit ... definitely won't be the last! Caprese Panini w fries (awesome fries); husband had Kailua Panini w kahlua pork and bacon and more awesome fries. And the side salad w special Lilikoi dressing was SO good. Excellent friendly service ... next time will try açaí bowl or maybe a salad. Gonna take a few visits!!!! read more

I saw the segment on island life live. We drove from waipio gentry. Food was delicious. Female employee working the counter and tables had excellent customer service. The staff was friendly and sincere. The restaurant wasn't quaint and cozy. The food was great! The portions were large. I could only eat half of the Big Boy Breakfast (panini) Sandwich...taking home half! The Avocado Toast was tasty but a little spicy. Maybe a notation of the spice level can be added to the menu. The food is usually good. This was one of the first places we went to eat when we arrived in Hawaii. We supported their first location and then begin to support their second location. I'm only doing this review to let you know they do not take over the phone orders. The website is wrong. I called wanting something that was not listed on the online platform the person answering the phone was rushing not listening to what I was asking. Though I know they maybe busy it's important to pause and breath to hear what is being requested. I was prompted to place the order online for the wrong thing and they would just tell the kitchen... well being that I sensed rushing on the phone.. I assumed once I placed the order it would not be correct when I arrived, which would have caused me to wait while they prepare the right order... I opted out of placing the order at all. Not sure when I will return as the phone service was a huge turn off.. which is why I'm rating a 3. read more

Heard a lot of good things about this place. We were small kine disappointed. We went there for dinner tonight (6/10/25). I ordered the yuzu shrimp with duck fat fried rice and wife ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. Portions were good, but my duck fat fried rice was not that good, very dry, as it seems it was reheated in a microwave with little to no flavor as well as the potato mac salad--very flat and bland. Wife's sandwich was alright, but out of the Japanese white bread and she had to go with whole grain instead, but not the same. Maybe we'll give them another try? However, at least the customer service was good even though it's automated. The person at the counter was very friendly. read more

We had lunch on 12/26/25 at Lilikoi Kitchen and really enjoyed it! The food was delicious, most items had a lilikoi flavor infused in it. The Lilikoi ice tea was excellent and I enjoyed my Turkey BLTA panini and hubs liked his rotisserie chicken sandwich. Our friends had the Lox bagel and the Bacon BBQ Kailua Pork. All were really good! The restaurant is clean and the owner came out and checked in with us, to see how the meal went. Fabulous! We will be back again. read more

would have been a 5 stars except the waitress was overwhelmed , the place was slammed today, they kept running out of stuff, sides, cream for coffee and other things have to order by scanning a code and then for some reason I could only pay by apple pay I asked waitress if there was a way to pay by credit card, she didn t know how to do it, didnt know who to ask they can only bring out food also it is set up where when full it is hard to get around, suggest middle tables are for two customers and those on side are for 3 or 4 but food is good quality read more

Food was fantastic. Portion was very decent but a bit on the pricier side when comparing to similar restaurants. Service was slow although not a lot of customers at the time. We went here for lunch. Good food great service. Go early for lunch as there aren't many tables. We enjoyed the pastrami sandwiches Salads and chicken salad. The Lilikoi ice tea was very delicious. Also the salad dressing. read more

We're big fans of Lilikoi Kitchen and have already visited three times since they've opened. Our first choices, the Mac Nut Crusted Fresh Catch and the Bacon Mushroom Herbed Chicken entrees are so good, we have a hard time trying anything else on the menu... the owners and servers are extremely friendly and the decor is fresh! First time eating at Ilikoi Kitchen and honestly, I didn't know what to expect, but wow, it was absolutely worth the wait. I came in starving and left beyond satisfied. I loved the variety of food options, the unique menu selections, the beautiful presentation, and especially how fresh everything tasted. We ordered the Braised & Cheddar Panini and the Streat Chimichurri Plate... both were seriously mouthwatering. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced in every bite. And I have to mention their salad dressing... SO good. Whatever they're doing with that dressing needs to stay exactly the same because the taste was incredible. It tied everything together perfectly and honestly made the meal even more memorable. Service was quick, the staff was great, and the food tasted AH-MAZING. Just great fresh local food. Their chicken in dumplings is full of everything, it's a meal not a starter. Call ahead to make sure they have it! I eat at a lot of places in town. Most are good, .... is really good. In my business, I get to watch them prepare the food sometimes and seeing them love what they do is the best part. ....This is my review.. Owning my own restaurantS and coming from an area with an abundance of places and variety of restaurants is that there are so many different tastes. What most likes and dislikes seem to focus on is personal taste and not what the Chefs ideas are, meaning what We are used to. Think about it, how does a new try become a favorite? Unfortunately, there isn't one place that is for everyone. I read reviews all the time and sometimes wonder where they actually eating at the right place. read more

I ordered the Bacon Mushroom Herbed Chicken Plate and my spouse had the Garlic Herbed Braised Beef Plate, both were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy, the mushrooms added a rich depth, and the herbs tied everything together beautifully. The beef? Melt-in-your-mouth tender with a garlicky kick that was just right.
