Oh man let me tell you I was wrong, I should have listened to the reviews before I stepped in this location. I had a feeling I was doing a horrible mistake. I asked for a frosted cinnamon roll & the employee asked if I wanted it warm & I said sure , he just heats it up in the microwave for a couple seconds. my girlfriend couldn't stop laughing so I can't hate it was pretty entertaining lol, the dough tasted like wheat bread for a sandwich. The service was great, everyone was incredibly nice. They even opened up early for us. The only thing is that the store is all over the place with the decore. It looks like the fair grounds all in one. They cinnamon rolls tasted like they were a day old and were just warmed up. Which they did warm up both the cinnamon roll and the frosting in the microwave. No restaurant should be using a microwave to warm up their meals. My family and I decided to walk through the shopping area while we waited for a table at a nearby restaurant. We saw this place and all the yummy desserts and decided to buy some sweets for after dinner (we are celebrating my sons 2nd birthday :) ) I walked in and the place smelled amazing! I said that was totally fine since we were waiting for our table for dinner which was going to take 30 mins. I was trying to be patient and thinking maybe it'll be another few mins. 7 mins turn into 30 mins. By this time my husband decides to walk to the restaurant with our son since our table was ready. And I decided to stay behind to make sure I get our desserts. I go up to one of the ladies and say "hi, how much longer for my brownie and churro?" The girl goes to the back and asked the girl who took my order. She came out and said "oh you didn't get them yet? I thought you did cause you were outside." In my head I was thinking well I was outside waiting cause the place has limited seating, is small and I had my son with his stroller which would've taken a lot of space. I told her no I didn't get my brownie or churro yet I was told it would take 7 mins. I had to wait another 7+ mins for my churro. I was so close to leaving but also felt upset that I would have wasted my money and time without getting what I paid for. I asked again for the 3rd time how much longer and I was told another min. A few mins passed and I finally got my churro. The lady was nice enough to give me 2 churros and I only ordered 1. I'm sure she felt bad for the wait. I am honestly easy to please. I'm not picky and I love most foods even when others say it tastes terrible. With that being said, this was the worst cinnamon roll I have ever had in my entire life. Aside from the icing just being powder sugar and not a cream cheese frosting, it was the driest, flavorless, all around worst food I have ever eaten. Everyone knows the center of the cinnamon roll is the best part because it is normally gooey and butter with the frosting melting into it. With this one it is overcooked, dry, and had no butter or cinnamon flavor at all. I really feel bad for giving this type of review but I can't let people go to this establishment and expect that they are getting top quality food especially for the price. My wife and I went in so I could grab a piece of pie and were unfortunately pretty disappointed. I wanted to order a piece of pie a la mode and was told that they "don't do that here." This was obviously confusing considering the fact that there is a neon sign out front that says "A La Mode". I was confused, but ordered a piece of pie anyways. The blackberry pie was recommended so I ordered and then when I received it soon after. It was blueberry. Not bad, but not what I ordered. This is a little gem on Cannery Row! My wife and I are from the LA area and stopped here for a quick bite to go with our coffees. I had an apple maple roll and she had the regular iced cinnamon roll. We loved both of them. The iced cinnamon was fluffy and packed with cinnamon sugar the apple maple was moist and buttery with a ton of diced apple in it! We bought ours heated so we could eat them outside at a table right on cannery row. Delicious baked goods on the historic street makes for a wonderful, true Americana experience. read more

It tasted like something someone who has never baked a day in their life might make on their first try. And the latte was so hot it burnt my tongue.
