My dish was flavorless, it was pad thai, I know it's not vietnamese food, but if you have it on the menu, then give it some better flavors. The staff was very attentive and the food was served promptly. As other reviews have stated, the food is a bit bland. I was extra disappointed when the noodles in my Bún (vermicelli bowl) were hot. I've ordered this dish at other restaurants a minimum of 100 times and I've only had them served warm one other time. It was at a terrible restaurant so I was disappointed that they too served warm noodles. The bún noodles are typically cold and sticky and these were quite the opposite. The protein on the dish was a bit skimpy compared to other places I've visited. So in summation, it's a nice play to go if you're trying to impress your date. Of all the Vietnamese places in ABQ, this is not one I would choose to return to. The interior was dark and muggy and the decor seemed to have sought some powerful "inspiration" from another Vietnamese restaurant that is frequented by many... I ordered the usual tester dish- rice noodle bowl with grilled beef and eggrolls with a request for chili oil on the side. I may have dumped a half-pint of the chili oil in my nuoc mam but was still left dissatisfied. The eggrolls weren't as flavorful and peppery as I have grown to appreciate, the grilled beef was a bit like grilled mystery meat, with no standalone flavor or char or sweetness or... anything definitive, really. I think the prices were fine but honestly, I am not schlepping myself out to the Eastside for a lackluster atmosphere and bland food. The service was attentive but I had come hungry for appetizing food and found none. Maybe their pho is truly the thing to come for but I don't enjoy hot noodle soups in 90+ degree weather so it's a no-go for me. read more

It's been awhile since my last Vietnamese adventure, but I can't imagine why I have waited so long? The quiet, modern atmosphere and decoration layout make the restaurant feel much like an American eatery and not one that serves delicious Vietnamese cuisine. The staff member was the only one, since my party arrived around 15 minutes after opening, yet he was able to seat us and some other diners promptly. This time the highlight of the meal was the Spring Rolls, which were absolutely divine! The flavors mixed with the peanut dipping sauce was an unmatched combination of sweet and savory. The Pho was not much different than my first experience around a year ago, but none the less still tasty. The best Pho that I have had in Albuquerque . Really flavorful Broth with plenty of sprouts, rice noodles, herbs and jalapeños. Very generous portion of whatever meat you order ( I like their well done steak) , but I can easily drink the whole thing. It's the best thing on cold rainy day . The Thai tea is good too. Yay, for a yummy new Vietnamese place in the NE Heights! My husband I love Pho and will travel for it but it is nice not to have to travel far. I ordered Lemongrass Pork Bun based off of reading reviews here. I will say my bun was wonderful, it had lots and lots of fresh veggies. As I get older I can no longer eat so much junk food and feel great. You have to get your veggies in, you really do! I was happy to have such a filling bun with nice pork and fresh tasting veggies. I'm Viet and their pho is pretty good by my standards. The noodles were done just right and there was plenty of it. The meat was also pretty fresh and thinly cut... Update: I tried Lime again (it's close to my work- hard not to when it's right there!) I ordered the Pho with rare steak. I am absolutely thrilled! This is one of the best broths I've had. I got the order to-go, but even in to-go containers, presentation was there. All the add- ins for the pho were included and the steak was perfection after it cooked in the broth. The serving was enough for two meals for me. Now like is 5 stars from me! I'm a tough rater when it comes to Phõ and the 5 stars is well deserved! read more

I have always had good experiences eating at Lime. I've been dining here since they opened, and even before that when they had a different name. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. The service is friendly. And the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. And bonus, it's close to home. So 5 stars for the restaurant / food itself. They would do themselves a favor by building a website in order to make it easier to find them online, find their menu and to place an order. Twice now, I've had the pleasure of eating at Lime Vietnamese Restaurant and each has been a great experience. Firstly, the service is friendly and prompt. Next, the food is fresh! While the lemongrass beef noodle bowl (#24) wasn't my personal favorite, the grilled beef with pork noodle bowl (#23) was. Two totally different styles to look out for. The spicy lemongrass soup (#12) is another favorite; that's a whole other experience altogether. The parking lot is usually busy with all the other nearby establishments, but once you walk in, you find a mellow, quiet restaurant just itching to be discovered, itching to be the favorite in this part of town. Lime received so many good reviews & it's just down the street from me. Don't worry I brought a friend who is a Pho Connoisseur. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated. We started with two apps, egg rolls & fried dumplings. Some of best tasting dumplings I have ever experienced and the egg rolls were equally sumptuous. I have no idea what the dipping sauces were but they were perfect compliments to the dishes. I decided on traditional beef Pho w steak and meatballs. The vegetables & herbs came on the side so you could decide how much you wanted. I just copied my friend..ha ha. I read to try the broth before adding anything because that's how you know the Pho is good. My first spoon full hooked me for life. After adding the sides, it only enhanced the broth. I savored every bite. I may have never had Pho before but I know quality food and Lime is the real deal! read more

Lime replaces May Huong...for old MH customers, you won't recognize the place! They've done a complete floor to ceiling remodel with lots of wood and no clutter... very modern, very elegant. Service from Michael was prompt and attentive. Spring rolls were firm, and tight and full of fresh veg. Lemongrass chicken noodle bowl was brimming with lightly sautéed, fresh cartots, bok choy, and celery. Chicken had just a hint of spice; nice balance of sweet and spice. Grilled pork buhn was delicious as well; pork was well cooked, not dried out...could have used a bit more basil and cilantro to balance out the rest if the dish. This is one of the first vietnamese restaurants that I would dine in once they get beer and wine. Love that the chicken pho has sliced breast meat unlike many others that use dark meat with pieces of fat and grizzle. Broth wasn't too sweet. We will be regulars here. Very quiet atmosphere (probably because they just opened two weeks ago) and the service was great. The staff was very friendly and the food came incredibly fast. We are frequent pho eaters, so that's what I got, and it is the best I've had in town. The broth seemed a little fattier than I've had at other places, which made it taste that much better, and the amount of meat in the pho bowl was almost double what I would've gotten at any other restaurant. Definitely going back soon and trying the rest of the menu. The only very trivial thing that I would say could be better, is that our tea didn't stay hot for very long. I The broth was good despite the red grease floating on top. There was unexpectedly sliced pork sausage and beef with a good side of fat attached. I had to discreetly spit out the fat & there were balls of fat floating that made it unpleasant. The rice noodles almost filled the bowl making it difficult to eat the parts that I wanted to eat. What a nice surprise! We have tried several Vietnamese places in town, and have come to expect "hole in the wall" decor and service. Lime is very clean, the service was attentive and most importantly, the food is excellent. The spring rolls and papaya salad at the beginning were very fresh and tasty. I got the Crispy Egg Noodle Bowl and it was presented beautifully. The noodles slowly softened in the tasty brown broth and the bowl was full of carrots, celery, zucchini, bell peppers and a mix of pork, beef and shrimp. My wife got a Pho bowl with beef and the server recommendation of chile oil and sauces really made the dish. My stepson got a seafood noodle stir-fry that was as well stocked and presented as the other dishes. We will definitely return and are happy to have a new choice so close to the house! read more
