I took my husband here hoping to have an alternative to IHOP which is his only goto. Guess what, Lincoln passed! The only thing is Lincoln doesn't have as many options, but what they do, thet do well. I had "real" corned l beef hash, not the canned stuff! Pretty good stuff! They had gluten-free bread option and homemade strawberry jam/jelly. I wish they had a dairy free butter option. The coffee was OK. My food was cold. Lincoln Square Pancake House is a great little breakfast spot over in Irvington. This location is much cleaner than the one on the south side. I would not recommend going there. We popped in on a busy Saturday morning, and the place was on and poppin. We were sat outside on the patio area. Customer service was A+. Food was good as well. I wish the biscuits and gravy would've had a little bit more flavored to them, but everything else came out quickly and hot. We will definitely come here again. read more

Okay, call me old-fashioned, but I think a restaurant with the word pancake in it should have a decent offering of pancakes. Upon sitting down, it took me a minute to find the pancakes on the menu. FYI, they're on the back in the upper left-hand corner, and there aren't many listed. I went with the blueberry pancakes, which had fruit and an amazing blueberry butter on in. I don't like syrup on my pancakes, so I'm always looking for a pancake that has enough sweetness (or vanilla) in the batter as to not need anything else. Super fast service and my coffee cup was never more than half empty, even on a very busy morning with a lot of people in the restaurant. ...and even though they only had a few pancake listings, I was pretty happy with my choice. This location is the perfect place to go to brunch on a weekend morning. The fresh squeezed orange juice is outstanding and the hot chocolate is definitely a hit! Breakfast and lunch options are surely plentiful, and you can't really go wrong with your selection. For the purpose of our last visit, brunch, I ordered one of the breakfast platters which included bacon, sausage, hash browns, your choice of eggs and your choice of either french toast, pancakes, or biscuits, which I opted for french toast. I did not know that it would come with cinnamon butter, and I am so glad it did! My husband ordered the meat lovers skillet and I believe he added a few different veggies to it. He orders a skillet at nearly every breakfast/brunch place we go to (creature of habit) and stated that it was quite comparable to others he has had in the area. This was my first meal out since having a baby and we took her with us. There was not much room for her to be at the table in her carseat since the indoor seating area is quite small and compact. As for our service, our waiter did not check on us very frequently and our food took 30-45 minutes to be prepared which seemed like a longer wait time than usual. I was very excited for a grilled cheese this time around. I'd been craving it all day and figured a diner type place would be the exact spot to get it. They had a pesto grilled cheese and you could add chicken. I opted to add chicken figuring it would just be a thin piece of chicken. What I was served was essentially a toasted chicken sandwich with a hint of cheese which was very disappointing. The service is consistently quick and friendly -- I can typically go from seating to ordering to eating in 10 minutes flat without the food tasting rushed or stale. This was my first time at the Irvington Lincoln Square location. It was pretty full inside for a Thursday, though it was about 12:15 when we arrived. I went for a birthday brunch to celebrate my niece. There were seven of us plus my niece in her high chair. The inside of this location isn't really set up for a large party like this - though there IS a booth in the back they could try to squeeze you in - but it was nice enough that we asked to sit on the covered patio. There's a heater in there and it actually a little toasty before they opened up the end of the window spaces. After that, a lovely space to eat. I had the grilled chicken scrambler. You get scrambled egg whites with spinach and tomato, plus two slices of grilled chicken and a large bowl of fresh fruit. It was okay, but not something I'd order again. The chicken was a bit rubbery. The fruit was good, though - a mix of a few strawberry slices, melons and grapes. I mainly got this meal to be compliant with some extra dietary restrictions I have right now. I much prefer eating a standard scramble with hash browns and their gluten free granola. ;) Everyone else seemed to love their food. Service was slow and they had a mishap where my brother in law's platter wasn't made so he had to wait an extra ten plus minutes to receive his meal after the rest of us were served. Our server was nice, but some of the extra servers who helped her bring our food out seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Probably just having a bad day, but my brother in law especially noticed. Let's start with the good. The nachos were great (8/10). Good ratio of beans, sausage, sour cream, egg, guac, queso, salsa, etc. chips were crunchy but we could've use more. The fish and chips were meh (5/10). Cod was a tad tough, but the batter just wasn't flavorful or nearly crispy enough. The tartar sauce was heavy on the mayo but pretty tasty. Fries were not bad not great. The omelet however was bland and dry. Not sure how they put it together but was not good (3/10). We were able to sit outside on a roofed patio which was a nice touch. A pretty little nightmare. Decor is nice. Area is nice. Food is terrible. It is what I call "Plastic Cooking". The ingredients are not fresh or house-made, and the sauces come from a bottle. Anything ordered here could be purchased ready-made at GFS. The "Omelette" is actually an Egg Scramble. The owner berated one of the staff in the back, for the whole restaurant to hear. It was something minor and he shouted loud enough to quiet the whole restaurant. The table he just spoke to was clearly embarrassed. Then the owner just walked back into the front like nothing happened. The fresh orange juice is delicious, but the price is shocking! Came here today for dine in service which was served out on the patio due to the pandemic. Staff opened doors for us and all had masks on. The patio had shades and fans going.
