I have been to their new location twice now. Yes, I followed them after they moved! They are that delicious. This time I had the enchiladas with salsa verde and coffee. Oh my gosh, those enchiladas hit the spot and beat my expectations. The corn tortillas were soooo tender!!! The Oaxacan cheese was soft, deep flavor and so delicious. The green salsa had that great tang I love from tomatillos. The beans and rice it came with were yuuummmyyy. My coffee tasted good. The restaurant is clean and the servers are all really nice. First, this place is on a corner lot with a funky parking. Street parking is available and it's in an industrial area. Inside, they have tables and looks like it can accommodate large groups. Service is excellent and friendly and attentive. They serve chips drizzled with Oaxacan mole. We ordered their molcajete and it was great. Filled with tasajo (which is a dried, salted, and often sun-cured beef, commonly found in Mexican and Cuban cuisine), chicken breast, nopales, chorizo and shrimp and cheese and garnished with jalapenos, bell peppers in savory sauce. Not the worse but also not the best, we'll stick with our regular place for Oaxacan food. They don't offer complementary chips, even if they are not with Coloradito on top, just no comp chips at all. The flavor of the food is not bad but the portions look stingy. One good thing is that we didn't have to wait too long for the food, since they other 3 tables there were done and started to leave. I don't know about other plates, but at least the ones we ordered are not making us come back. In regards to service, a "Good Afternoon, Welcome " would be nice. read more

Was looking for Oaxacan food near USC and I'm extremely happy that I found this place! I do think it's unfortunate that you have to find parking a block or more away, since this place deserves more hype! The inside is very nice and has an authentic Mexican feel. I did notice that since we were the only people there, half of the tables still had their chairs up-I'm assuming they haven't been very busy lately. When my friend and I went in, the staff were so kind and happy to help us. Our server came by to welcome us and to suggest some signature dishes. She even gave us a sample of the mole - which was delicious. I ordered the tlayuda and an agua fresca and they very much satisfied my cravings for good Oaxacan food! She also gave me a free sample of their mole with some nachos, which was very good. I ordered a torta with choriza (came with a side of fries) & a horchata with tuna and nuez. I liked the torta had great taste, but honestly it seemed like they were stingy with the chorizo. The side of fries were bland, had no type of seasoning. I don't think you would notice Lindo Oaxaca if you weren't looking for it. My bf found it because we were attending an art show at The Reef and he wanted somewhere to watch a big soccer game before. He literally just moved the map around on Google and decided on this restaurant. It's super authentic, large, casual, open-kitchen, with panchos, shoes and other items for sale, and plenty of TVs. There is metered street parking or a small parking lot in the back. We were promptly served and always had what we needed. Since I'm not familiar with Oaxacan food, I went with something unusual, the Nopal Zapoteco. It it a large piece of cooked cactus chopped with pork cecina, chorizo, and melted Oaxacan string cheese. Rice, beans and tortillas are served on the side. I cut everything up and mixed together everything on the plate before stuffing it into the tortilla and it made for a great meal. The Posole was a huge serving with great flavor and plenty of tender shredded chicken. I kept adding the broth to my plate for extra goodness. I appreciated that they explained the Oaxacan food terms on the menu, and my bf was happy to find a certain type of soda he remembers from his days in Mexico but I forget what it was called. Their Horchata is made differently than you're used to, with lots of lime. It was nice for a change. If I find myself back in the area I wouldn't hesitate to return. read more
