Well, things happen. Fortunately for car insurance and auto body shops, you can put the unpleasant memory behind you. This was my first accident with my SUV (and hopefully ONLY) and I was really cautious about what body shop to take her to. State Farm recommended Lindsay and I knew of their reputation in the area of being a good shop. So, I had her towed here. Three weeks later (a week after they said she would be ready - not Lindsay's fault, General Motors fault) she was as good as new - maybe better! The customer service was superb! Because parts were not available in DC, they were ordered from GM, which took longer than usual. They did a GREAT job of keeping me in the loop. I know they could tell I was getting more annoyed each day. The shop is very, very clean. Waiting area is nicely kept - felt more like a dealership than an auto body shop. The Enterprise car rental here is fantastic! They get a star on their own!! Don't hesitate to take your car here - they are great! read more

Our Toyota van got smacked by a guy with big mirrors on his PU truck. Lindsay was soooooooooooooooooo very bad. We took our Toyota van here at the suggestion of Geico because they have an agent on site and access to cheap rental cars. I would never ever ever take my car back for body damage service again. Repairs took more than 15 days and while yes we were in a rental all that time it was because we rejected the work that had been performed on the van. They initially presented the van with the wrong rear window jammed in the lift gate, then we went back a second, third and fourth time because of mismatched and "orange peel textured paint". The plastic rear skirt was not snapped in place and they glued it to make it stay in place, and the gap on both sides of the lift gate was hugely different. Lift gate would not even open properly, they left it open and exposed so the carpets were all wet. To get them to fix it, wow they acted like we were too dumb to appreciate their fine work. Geico's guy was no help at all and we actually wrote a letter to Geico about our bad experience with the stupid adjuster. read more

My 2-week old brand new car was covered with sewage water while parked in my office garage. :~ ( I took it to Lindsay thinking that they deal w Cadillac owners -- surely they would give me quality service. I went in for a Detail for $100. There were white rings of calcified minerals all over the vehicle. I expected the usual care given in a detailing, but when I picked up my car (after they'd had it for a whole day), the windshield was still covered in white spots, there were white spots on the back airfoil, there was adhesive on my back window. When I complained to the guy who was in charge (the manager had already left for the day), he just told me that my expectations were unreasonable and their staff had done a great job. Oh yeah -- and my radio was turned to the local Latin station -- glad the professional staff got to enjoy their tunes while giving me such stellar service. I came back the next day and dealt w the manager who was nice and accommodating -- and they redid my car and set me up w a rental while they worked on it -- and it all looks OK now -- but seriously -- who needs the headache? Where's the QA? I won't be back. BTW: the Enterprise rental location here rocks. Super nice, efficient, and flexible. read more

Shout out to Justin, he was really helpful. I took my car here because it was rear ended. They replaced the trunk and the repair looks good as new. They facility is really nice and the crew is really attentive. But when I got my car back it was really dirty, dust everywhere, my car was pretty clean when I dropped it off. Also, there's white paint on the steering wheel and the area around the cover of the shift lock,, including the shift locks cover, is really scratched. read more

I've had used Lindsay Collision Center 3 times and each time they could not get it right. The first one after a simple bumper repaint they forgot the lettering on the rear bumper. I pointed out and was told it was after market. After I told them to go look at other cars online they admitted it was missing and said they would order it and call me back. I never heard back and sold the car before I could follow up. The second time I had to have some work done when someone swiped the side of my vehicle. The door panel they used was lower quality and thinner than the factory one. It caused the door to leak when raining due to it shaking when driving. The third one was to fix a couple cracks and repaint a rear bumper. We got it back and there was runs in the paint, parts not even painted, and the cracks came up as they did not fix them just painted over them. They actually tried to say it was normal and the edges were just dirt etc... I had to scratch it to show it was not dirt and the runs they just danced around that issue. Made them repaint it and the shade was off. So they could not even paint a basic bumper cover correctly. I used to be a mechanic and did some body work so I know good quality when I see it. At Lindsay Collision Center they just want to patch it and get it out quickly. If you do not know what to look for PLEASE take it to someone that knows cars and what to look for or you will get junk and when you go to sell your car as it will hurt the resell. If I saw this type of body work on a used car I was looking to buy I would subtract from my offer. read more

I got hit by another driver in DC who bolted from the left-turn lane into moving traffic without looking and sideswiped me as I was driving by. Please take note: I called to check on the status of a car that was suppose to be pick up 6 days ago. The car was drops of 3 weeks ago. The front desk was pretty rude. *I did not get my vehicle repaired with Lindsay Collision, so I can't comment on the quality of their work, however, I had the displeasure of having to deal with this establishment after I was involved in a collision. I was involved in a collision with another car in DC around 6pm on a Thursday on my way from home from work. Unfortunately, my car was not driveable because of the damage from the accident and had to be towed. Lexus Roadside Assistance sent out a tow truck to tow my Lexus GS to the nearest Lexus certified collision center, which happened to be Lindsay Collision Center. Friday morning, I tried calling Lindsay Collision Center to talk with someone since my car was just dropped off after hours by the tow truck. However, their phone system is impossible to use - I was calling Lindsay Collision Center from 7am to 9am trying to talk with a human. It seems that if you don't know an employee's extension, the only option that you can make is leaving a message. I did leave a message or two but the last thing you want is not being able to communicate with a person when you were just involved in an accident that rendered your recently purchased car undrivable. When I did not get a return call by around 11am (they were open since 7am), I just called my insurance company to get a tow truck to tow it to another body shop. The tow truck driver called me when he arrived at Lindsay Collision Center because the people at Lindsay apparently did not know where my car was. Within minutes, they quickly found my car in their parking lot. But they had no clue where my keys were. The tow truck driver had to call me again to ask where the keys were - they were left in the overnight dropbox by the first tow truck driver. Moments later, the tow truck driver had to call me AGAIN because Lindsay Collision was not letting him take my car because I didn't come to gather my personal belongings out of my car. I told the driver that I have everything I needed and I just wanted my car towed to a body shop with a working telephone. My main frustrations with Lindsay Collision -Could not talk with anyone on the phone using any of their phone numbers found on Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc -Did not return my message(s) in a timely manner -Did not even know they had my car, when they found it, they didn't know where the keys were (You would think first thing every morning, it would be procedure to check for any keys left in the overnight drop box) In the end, Lindsay lost a potential collision customer and a sizeable repair job (Took 27 days and a VERY shiny penny to get my car repaired) read more

Angry! Thought I was lucky because I received estimate from Lindsay Collision Center in Springfield, VA that was well below the refund I was getting. After two weeks without my truck all repairs done except for one side's whole panel! When I asked why that wasn't repaired, I was told that it wasn't on the estimate. I believe I was scammed by giving them the job - they counted on me not reading the whole estimate and seeing that they left off a huge part of the job. This way they fooled me into giving them the job! Now I'm going to have the rest of repair done (somewhere else, tho), and be without my truck again. What a pain. I've had my rear bumper replaced here twice, along with some other rear end repairs. The first time I was here was a few months ago, and the latest was just this week. Lindsay Collision Center is the exception to the rule that all body shops have horrible customer service. I only came across LCC because I was fed up with the way that I was being treated by 395 Auto Body which was located right next door. I was immediately surprised by the comfortable atmosphere when I walked into LCC. It was like walking into a new car dealership rather than an oily garage. There is a receptionist desk where there are typically two friendly receptionists. They quickly learn who you are and which car belongs to you, making their customer service very effective. They will always offer beverages when you visit and it looked like they had a decent selection, I never accepted. You never deal with any dirty greasy mechanics here either (no offense to mechanics, they just get dirty and greasy in their line of work and I think twice before shaking their hand), everyone you deal with here is very well-dressed and professional...and clean. You are assigned a Repair Process Manager who manages the repairs on your vehicle. I believe that which repair process manager you're assigned is determined by which car insurance company is processing your claim. It is great because they give you their business cards with a direct line so there is no hassle when calling for an update on the status of your repairs. This time Mike Krikorian managed my repairs, he was very friendly and professional. My repairs took a little longer than expected, but in the end my car looked great. They detail the exterior of your car, so it looks better than ever when you get it back. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle there was one tiny flaw remaining, but Mike had it corrected immediately. I was extremely satisfied with the customer service provided here and the quality of my repairs both on visits. I cannot recommend this place enough. It may be a little pricey though compared to some other body shops, but nothing too significant. I got a estimate from Maaco before taking my car to LCC and Maaco was about $100 cheaper than Lindsay (~$850 vs. ~$950). I think you get what you pay for though, and if you care about the quality of your repairs you should definitely choose LCC. In most cases, a car insurance company is picking up the tab anyway so the cost is irrelevant in my opinion. There is also an Enterprise car rental located inside, which is the weakest link at LCC in my opinion. It is the only time that I ever had to wait for anything here. The first time I waited a pretty long time to be helped, but during this latest visit they were much more prompt. I think that the first time I received a car from them it was a Hyundai Accent, the interior was in horrible condition with stains and cigarrette burns everywhere. It looked as if someone had been tortured and killed in the car based on the story told by all of the stains and my expert knowledge of forensic sceience that I acquired from watching Law & Order, CSI, and numerous other crime based TV dramas. This latest time I received an enormous Dodge Charger, which is in no way comparable to my two-door saturn coupe. I didn't feel very comfortable driving such a large vehicle, I've always driven small cars. I asked them for another car, but they said the only other option was a Chrysler 300 which is no smaller. They told me that they would let me know if something else became available. I eventually got used to driving the Charger, but the parking lot where I live is very tight and it was extremely difficult to fit the Charger into my parking spot. It's fuel efficiency was also not very economical for me, I used $30 worth of gas in less than a week. I normally use half of that every week. The last thing you want when you're dealing with a car accident and your car getting repairs in a body shop is the stress of driving an oversized unfamiliar car that you are not comfortable with driving. Enterprise also called me to conduct a customer service survey, I told them that the customer service was great but that I wasn't happy with the car and wanted another one. The person on the phone didn't seem to take me seriously at first and asked if I "really" wanted another car and I said 'yes'. Then they said they would let me know when something else became available. I guess nothing else ever became available, or they just didn't care because I never receieved another call or another rental car. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. After my first visit, I returned for more and I doubt that will be my last visit. Driving in the DC metro area I've been rear-ended three times. My only suggestion for this place, in addition to getting a better rental car compay, would be to establish a "Frequent Wreckers Club". read more

I had my car repaired at the their Springfield location. It was through my Statefarm insurance and the original work completion date was 6/20, which was well over two weeks after they took over my car. (It was just a little bit of cosmetic work and I don't understand why it should've taken that long) I rented a car through Enterprise therefore, which is also covered by my insurance. On 6/20, however, Lindsay Collision center delayed the completion until 4:30pm on 6/22 (Friday) without any apology or clear explanation. My case manager at Lindsay collision center(Justin) called me at around 1:20 on 6/22 saying he expects the work to be done on that day and promised to call me again within the day to confirm. He didn't call me back. It was late on Friday so I went over there the following Monday(6/25) to get my car. Then the rental company charged me extra $182 for the delay, saying that they only cover my rental until 6/22. I spoke with Justin at Lindsay about this and he and his manager said they already closed my case and I'm solely responsible for this extra rental car charge caused by their delay and unprofessional handling. On top of this, am I happy with their work on my car? Absolutely not. Some scratches are still visible and It's not worth three weeks of work at all. read more

Obviously having to get your car repaired and pay your deductible because you were dumb and hit a pole at the gas station is always pretty frustrating. Lindsay Collision made the process effortless. I was able to have the car looked at on Saturday and the repair service drop off occurred the following Tuesday. It is super convenient having the rental car office in the collision center, so it made my Tuesday drop off smooth and kept the time off work at a minimum. They called ten days later saying my car was ready. The repair work was excellent. I hope not to have to go back, but should something happen to my car I would not hesitate to come here for a repair. read more

This is an update to my review I posted on 9/17/14. After posting my review Lauren C the manager reached out to me to see if LCC could resolve the issue for me. She put me in contact with Kara S the customer service manager to work out the problems I had with my repair two years ago. Upon contacting Kara she was quick to reply to my email and I was scheduled to bring my car in the next day (Wed Sept 24) for her to look at. Arriving at LCC I was updated about the work that was required to make my car look pristine again. Kara was willing to do whatever it would take to satisfy my needs. After speaking to her and about the situation I found out some news that I was not aware of. Note: If I had known about this issue two years ago this would have been quickly resolved at that time. So upon my request I spoke to a painter named Eric who did an awesome job by the way. He was confident that he would be able to blend the paint and alleviate the color difference issue. So I left my car there. Just two days later, 9/26, Kara called me in the morning notifying me that my car would be ready for pick up later on during the day. At that time it was being put back together and getting it's exterior detailed. Picking up my car was a breeze, it was already in the service lane and ready to go. I drove my car outside to get some sunlight on it to see if I could still see a difference, accompanied by both Kara and Eric. Boy, was I surprised what a great job LCC did in blending the paint. I am really shocked and impressed at the quality of work Eric did on my car. My car is now bright and shiny like the day it left the dealer. By the way this was all free due to their lifetime warranty. After my most recent experience I would once again would recommend LCC. The reason for the four stars is because of the miscommunication I experienced two years ago. If a service advisor had told me what I found out most recently two years ago, the problem would have been quickly fixed. This place is located in the middle of nowhere, but is nice and spacious. I came here to meet an adjuster after a car accident. I was impressed by how clean the customer service area is (lots of Starbucks teas and coffees complimentary), and how orderly the actual service was. Maybe we just got paired with an excellent employee, but we were in and out in accordance to our appointment slot. I DID NOT get my car repaired here, so I am not sure of what the actual body services are like. read more

My car was recently was hit by a man who had State Farm, and after MONTHS of dealing with them and the non-responsive and irresponsible (i could go on) driver..I finally received the go ahead from State Farm that I could proceed with repairs but first I had to go to a local State Farm rep. I can't remember the official title, but basically this person checks my car out, assesses the damages & can cut me a check right then & there (as long as i have the proper documents with me) to go ahead and proceed with my repairs anywhere I'd like. Let me just say the State Farm rep here is AMAZING!!!! If there's more than one there, which there probably is, it's the older gentleman who has a daughter around my age (23). I enjoyed some of the in-shop Starbucks coffee while he checked my car out, and at the end he explained what he did, broke down the fees, and subsequently gave me a check to cover my repairs. After the headache I received from State Farm this man gave me hope that not everyone involved in insurance is trying to short change you. He was professional, personable & friendly but not in a creepy way lol. If anyone with State Farm ever hits me again (fingers crossed that DOES NOT HAPPEN) I'll be sure to make an appointment with him again. Also--this shop is so aesthetically pleasing, and very clean. Obviously a visit to Lindsay Collision is never good but my experience with them was excellent. I called them the day after my accident at the recommendation of the insurance and they were able to send a tow car to my house to pick up the car. They called a few days later to give me an update of the car and give me an approximate date of pick up and even sent me texts with updates as well. I later noticed that I had left some things I needed in the car so when I arrived to the center I was allowed back to pick them up personally. I was very pleased. On the pick date I arrived and had to wait a little more than 30 minutes to get my car (even though I was called and told it was ready) but I guess this was because they were short staffed. Lindsay Collision Center is a business who sets themselves apart from the rest and works really hard to do so. When having body work done on my Beetle, I got a call and or text message EVERY DAY about the status of completion. WOW! They kept me informed constantly. It was so helpful because it allowed me to plan accordingly and not take time to make calls to them. I am so grateful to Lindsay Collision Center for taking great care of my car. So far I have been here at Lindsay Collision Center in Springfiled 3 times. The first 2 times I had really big rear-ended accidents and Patricia Casten helped me and everything turned out great and I am was very happy with the level of service and her personal care to make sure everything got done and on time. The 3rd time I went for small work which was a passenger side mirror and she remembered me from the other 2 previous times. Patricia was really quick and helpful to order the parts and have it painted and I stopped by for only one hour and they installed the new side mirror at no time. I had my choice of places to go when I got in a fender bender and I came on Yelp to look. Lindsay came up #1 and I'm glad I went there. The waiting area is extremely comfortable (giant TV, free coffee, etc.) and the process is quick. I was able to drop my car off and get my rental in a matter of minutes. Laura was fantastic to deal with. They sent email updates throughout the process and my car was even done early. The work was excellent - can't even tell anything happened. To top it off, when I noticed a minor problem once I got my car, Laura told me to come back and they fixed the problem when I stopped by. Great experience. read more
