Came here the day when the statewide mask mandate was lifted. Some business can still enforce wearing masks if they choose to, to protect employees and patrons. Was expecting this place to still do it, since they're a buffet and everyone touches the food. Unfortunately, they were just letting everyone in and not even telling people to use gloves. So when it comes to Chinese (international) buffets, I don't expect high quality so much because even if the I don't like most of the food, there're most likely two or three selections I can get pleasantly full on. Lin's seems pretty on par with the other buffets I like. It has a nice, open dining area with friendly wait staff. The setup is unique and allows for as many options as the other large buffets without taking up as much room by have an inner sushi circle and an outer everything else circle. Having a pho station instead of a Mongolian grill is a nice change. The one thing that makes me uncomfortable there is the (what I call) "American meats" station where they have brisket and smoked sausage. Those options are whole without a knife to cut it down to size and none of the times I've been have there been an attendant. Furthermore, the sausage had its tongs on the "customer" side so it seemed like if I wanted some sausage, I'd have to take the entire 12" link. Keep in mind this buffet is a couple of dollars more than the other big ones and it's pay before you eat. I'm sure I'll go back. read more

This is always my top pick for any buffet now. Best food, drinks, pho, crab legs, dim sum, and sushi!! The foods always hot and fresh no matter what time it is and the owner is so sweet and so are the workers! Not to mention the place is s p o t l e s s. Worst experience EVER! Each dish I tried was inedible if not inedible it was very bland. The only thing that was good were the mushrooms and that's about it. They couldn't even cook a baked potato right. If that's not enough to stop you, try eating amongst nazi decor. On their glass partitions there is clearly a swastika, how do you not see that when you're decorating.I know that they aren't meant to be swastika but it looks shady when you stare at it while you're eating. This was our first visit since moving here. As far as Chinese buffet's are concerned, pretty much par as other Chinese buffets. The big difference was the bigger choices in sushi. The "normal" selections as other Chinese buffets were offered. I liked that the restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were clean. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. For what we paid vs value, are equal. Unless your appetite far outweighs the price, you should be happy by the time you leave. We'll be putting Lin's on the list of "visit often" list. Disgusting! Saw German roaches on the dessert bar. Super undercooked food. Our chicken was 100% raw! Kids dipping their fingers into the desserts. I have been to sushi places and have easily spent over 100 dollars for just me, which is crazy I know, but I'm a girl that loves sashimi. Thank god Lin's opened up just down the road from me, because their sushi bar is HUGE. It's right in the center of their many selections. It's beautiful. I have came here almost once a week in the month of March. I just can't get enough. One of the coolest things that Lin offers that no one else has is the PHO. ALL YOU CAN EAT PHO! It's delicious, has lots of star anise flavor that I love! Their chinese buffet staples are pretty good too, the only thing is that I think it might need some salt/soy sauce. But I definitely get my money's worth on the sushi bar alone! How stupid of me to pay more than 100 on sushi when I could have just spent 13.00 here and gotten all I can eat! :) read more

I've n my hubby went a few weekends ago on a Saturday. It was packed I was really liking all the Asian choices of Korean type foods like kimchi n seaweed salad n cucumbers n a red type kimchi sauce. I've passed this place many times on commute and decided to finally give it a try. First let me say that my rating reflects Lin's compared to buffet and chain restaraunts, so out of it's class. Next I will outline that there was a good selection of seafood, meat, American Chinese, American, and sushi. I have given Lin's a 4/5 as on some items freshness was an issue. The crawfish were cold, the stuffed crab was cold, and the sushi was room temp. This would have resulted in a lower rating initially however after they put out new food and sushi so I tried the same stuff again and the food was better. Therefore, I decided go with a higher rating on account of attentiveness go freshness and conscientiouness for food safety. Overall food quality is what you'd expect from a buffet. You can taste a lot of the meat and seafood came in frozen and the muscles were not good; the sushi fish lacked marbling and the color was greyish. It tasted around the quality of HEB sushi, so bot terrible. Rounding out the higher than par rating I have to say the stir fried rice noodle, the lo-mein, the inari and tamago sushi, and the stuffed crab were very good. The buffalo wings and the pork buns were FANTASTIC. Especially the pork buns. I also enjoyed the usual fair sush as egg rolls and rangoons. Finally, the price was $17. I would expect this to cost $13-14 so you can make the proposition that a nicer place would be better valie but if you're very hungry like I was and you like general Chinese fair (which was better than the sushi and seafood,) it may well be worth it. read more

It's a chinese buffet so everyone needs to adjust their expectations. Once you have, you will realize this place is pretty good. Good variety, abovr avg qualitt for an asian buffet, good service, tasty food. You can't expect a chinese buffet to deliver a chinese dine in restaurant experience, but they get close enougj and at a fair price. To truly set themselves ahead of the pack they could add some dishes and a punch of extra flavor, basically provide a better quality Chopsticks, for those that have been to that buffet, it's good. Enjoyed the place very much. Liked having both sushi and sashimi. The crab legs were on point. Hint: Get a ticket for everyone in your party for the crab legs whether they want them or not. They limit one plate per person but it is a nice plate and the crabs legs were fresh, well cooked, and not waterlogged like many buffets. Tickets you don't use will be welcomed by your fellow patrons. Did not try the American offerings because that is not what I go to Chinese buffet for. Dined here with friends when it first opened (maybe a week after their grand opening)....we were disappointed with the food quality. The oysters looked sick and disgusting and their crab legs weren't all that. There are several food choices but I don't think the money is worth it. King's Buffet on Bandera is better in my opinion. I thought for the price and the different variety of food that it was well worth it. I personally didn't​ have an issue with the taste. The Pho, Chinese food, and dim sum were all delicious! I will say that the sushi did surprise me. I was expecting something supper low in quality and it wasn't​! The rice could use some work though. Also yes there was a wait to be seated, but it was super​ busy so that was expected. The staff is​ very well organized and very attentive. Chinese food was okay, same as everywhere else but the American food was Horrible. The brisket was dry with minimal taste. The chef did not know how to cut a Brisket correctly. The chicken wings had visible flour attached to the wings and tasted like it was fried in the Fish Grease. Portion of inside chicken wing was still pink. The fish was thin and over cooked. Every tasted a Fish Jerky? Go here. The sausage was one of the cheaper brand and you will be able to taste the cheap fullers in the first bite. When this place opened up it was great but it has gone down hill. As a military family we appreciate the discount they gave us. We went one time and they told us that only the military personnel gets the discount, a little upsetting but ok. We went back today and we saw that you have to get a ticket to get the crab legs that are on the buffet line and you can only get one plate per visit which they serve you a specific number of crab legs. My question is what is the purpose of being a buffet restaurant if you're going to limit your customers? At 15.00 for the weekend price I expect to eat as much as I want. read more

I was impressed. Lots or choose from and my son is a picky eater so they have stuff for kids that don't like Chinese. Pizza, chicken nuggets and fries. Pho bar and sushi bar. Great attentive servers and a great selection of deserts as well. Food was fresh and changed frequently. They have staff with headsets letting the kitchen know what is almost out to keep everything stocked. Peppered beef was good along with all the Chinese staples you expect at a chime restaurant. Soups were good as well. The only thing missing was crab legs. I went on a Wednesday for lunch. Think they are available for weekends and dinner only. I will be back for sure for that.
