Maybe they are still trying to work out the kinks of grand opening but we went there on Jan 31 2018 and they were dysfunctional at best. They make you pay before you eat, which causes a long line out the door. Its fine if they were fast but it seemed to take 3-5 mins to charge each customer. When I go to a buffet its cause I want to get there and eat fast. Also small things like one of the front doors were locked so people trying to get out were getting stuck by the line out the door. I can NOT believe that I paid $40 for three of this as we all agreed we would of rather went through McDonald's drive through and got a Happy Meal WITHOUT the toy! This is my first and probably my last time here. For two lunch buffets with two drinks it was just over $27. This is a very typical Chinese buffet place, if you've been to one you've been to them all. If you are used to eating good Chinese food then this is a big step down. I had 1 1/2 plates (I tried to like it) and my wife had 1/2 a plate, then we left and went a few stores over and shared a small pizza at Stout's. Today is Saturday the 25 of May 2019 and my wife and I just finished eating and offer the following: Crab leggs were old and mushy with no small fork to obtain the crab from the leggs. The crab was also very cold and full of water.The leggs were issued to customers even though this is a buffet. The oriental soup was nasty and no won ton soup available. The spring rolls were old. Desert was missing freshness, ice cream was melting, bite size carrot cake was all they had for customers, the pears and peaches came from a can and provided a off taste. They have all the classic you'd expect at a Chinese buffet. Some of it was not my favorite but overall it was a pleasant dining experience. Contrary to other reviews the atmosphere was nice and temperate. Service was good. Didn't like Mac and cheese or crawfish. The group enjoyed sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, and beef and broccoli. Sushi was reported to be enjoyable as well. $42 for three people at dinner. Update from next morning: changed from 4 star to 1. About 1-2 hours after eating I began to feel very nauseous. I've been waiting a long time for this spot to open. I went during lunch on a Weekday. I've grown accustomed to the fact that buffets in San Antonio require you to prepay so that didn't bother me however it did take them an unusually long time to process each customer and I see from other reviews this is a regular occurrence. They have multiple registers but only use one even during the rush hour. Most of the foods were really good with the few exceptions that are never good anywhere because they are just seafood flavored bread crumbs shaped liked a crustacean. They didn't have cheese Rangoons which was a disappointment for me personally but overall the choices were good. I did not get to sample the sushi this time around since I am pregnant but they did look very appetizing. Can't wait to take the family for dinner. read more

This used to be our go-to spot for Chinese buffets but our last few visits have not been pleasant mostly because of the taste of the food. I'm not sure what they've changed but their meats are flavorless and very chewy. The fried options are also tasteless and not very good. The price has gone up but the quality has gone down. So there was a line at the door all the way to the next business but they had 3 cashiers and hosts seating people. We hardly waited. Place is BIG but not a lot of variety but what they got is GOOD! There's the basic Chinese food which I like. There's fresh sushi, dim sum now I'm not adventurous but there was enough stuff there that I was happy to try out. Next they had unlimited Pho, seafood, a meat station where they will grill a steak. Pizza, nuggets, fried fish, mac and cheese, onion rings are also available. Salad options are skimpy but I didn't come for those. Fresh fruit is also available and an assortment of cookies and desserts. None that really stood out but everyone was in line for the ice cream which was really good but HARD to scoop out. Like you have to put really muscle into it and really want some ice cream. All in all it was clean, food was fresh, server was socializing the whole time. She never brought me a high chair for my son and was there so infrequently I just ate with him in my lap but I managed to find another lady kind enough to get me a glass of water when I need so they still get 5 stars from me. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the new rules and pricing they have made! Pricing is now $14.99 per adult instead of $13.99. Instead of ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS, they now give you ONE ticket per customer for ONE plate of crab legs which only consists of about 5 pieces. What is the point of a buffet if they're limiting you on the amount of food. The majority of everyone come here for their crab legs. I will not come back if they keep the rules this way. The restaurant was really clean (its new so it's expected), the waiter refilled the drinks and removed the plates off the table promptly; however, the food was disgusting. The "DimSum" tasted like it was store bought but then again so did the egg rolls (I've tasted better ones from Sam's Club). General Tso Chicken was horrible. It shouldn't even be classified as that. This is my first time Lin's International Buffet. I visited on a Sunday at 12:30pm. This place is part of a shopping center so there is ample parking. This shopping center is fairly new and you can tell because it looks clean for the most part. There was no wait time when we arrived and when we left around 2pm... There still weren't any people waiting. Overall it looked cleaner than any buffet I've been to (Chopsticks, Tappayaki Japanese, Golden Corral). The atmosphere didn't feel crowded like in Chopsticks. It's an overall cleaner feeling. As far as the food goes, there's a variety but it's heavy on the seafood. Mostly Chinese food (fried rice, main Chinese dishes, American food, steak, dessert area (pastries and self serve ice cream), sushi and salad bar. The classics. The restrooms were fairly clean but consider that I visited when they had just opened. They open at 11am. We paid $34.50 for 2 adults and we only got water. Food felt warm and fresh for the most part. Honestly, I'm comparing this place heavily to Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant. The food taste better at Chopsticks. I felt like Lin's was not very flavorful. Example, I felt like the Eggrolls taste better at Chopsticks. But... Lin's feels cleaner and less crowded. It just depends what you care most for. You can get the same food for the most part but it will taste better at Chopsticks but it's cleaner, nicer, and less crowded at Lin's. The wait staff were so sweet and attentive. I brought my infant in a carseat. They don't have slings but they offered a high chair. We just put the baby on the booth with us. I honestly would go back but I would also go back to Chopsticks. First time at Lin's buffet yesterday and mixed feelings about it but here are my Pros and Cons. Pros: if you like seafood and Chinese food this is it. I liked that they have fresh oysters and fried tilapia. The shrimps with the head on were delicious, a little salty but passable. The other Chinese dishes were good. Our server Raquel was very sweet and attentetative. Cons: price tag $15 plus drink if you get sodas is up there. My kids barely eat, they go for the pizza and nuggets and that's pretty much it so we still had to fork another $5.99 and $6.99 plus their drinks. There's another buffet here that we only pay $1 for our 3year old and $4.99 for our 7 year old. A $4.99 price would've been more reasonable for the little ones. Where we were seated it was very hot, no vent seemed to hit our booth. No walnut shrimp so that was another downer for me. All in all I think 3 stars is all that I can give. Not sure when we will come back since I think there's better priced options around town but none of the others are on this side of town so who knows. read more
