Opened January 28, 2018. Easy access from 1604 with large parking lot in a shopping center. Ample seating with booths and tables. Well staffed. Friendly and very accommodating/attentive staff. Clean buffet areas. Chinese buffet, steak, seafood, sushi bar, pizza, desserts, etc. Create your own stir fry too. The food was well made, delicious. Some specialty items were too pretty to eat like the pink plum dessert and the banana leaf wraps filled with mushrooms and rice. The soy sauce containers on the table were beautiful! As Chinese buffets go in the Alamo city, Lin's provides a great selection of items from which to choose. Despite the large selection, they somehow find a way to keep their food hot. You can't say that about most buffets. The restaurant was clean and they take COVID protection seriously which is a plus. I gave three stars because the flavor wasn't the best. A decent place to go if you're in a hurry. I'll be back but won't be my first choice nor will I be a regular. read more

This restaurant needs a redo in decor and cleaning. The prices keep increasing, and now with the crab leg limit, they lost us, family of 6. It's time to close down, remodel, and open up as a regular restaurant without the "buffet" title, which you don't deserve if you call yourself a buffet and start putting limits on what people can eat.... The food is tasty. Wide variety of dishes. I was unhappy with the sushi. The service was average. Not the servers fault, considering the massive space and the lack of employees to tend to the number of seats. I don't like raw steak place in a plastic bin, placed in an ice bin. First time here and the places was full but still was able to find parking. My daughter was able to find us a table right away. So I head to the buffet and fine a variety of food to include pizza, pho, and steaks. They had the traditional salad plus a variety of other salads including a seaweed salad which was scrumptious. The sushi table was full of different kinds of sushi. I did not that much of the food compared to a similar location named different on another side of town but food is almost identical. Don't let the name fool you, there is nothing that makes this place "international". The closest thing to an "international" dish is pizza. The buffet isn't that large also, with most of the selections being your stereotypical Chinese buffet food. The sesame chicken was undercooked (still pink). There was only one server who was running around the entire restaurant all on her own so props to her. There was quite a few kids and very large and rowdy groups. Apparently there must've have been a legal dispute with the "Lin" name, because the name was changed to "Kin" and the menus had "Lin" crossed off and "Kin" written over it. It is definitely not worth the high price for such a small selection of food. Wouldn't recommend. read more

This place used to be my favorite place,last time I went I realize eating crab legs are not longer good, you have to ask for a ticket at the moment you are paying your bill. Pretty sure the owners just got greedy including the fact that the restaurant it looks now so dirty including floors (tile) and carpet with tons of stains and the dirty carpet odor, it was so clean before they are destroying this restaurant. I thought this restaurants will be the best in town and will put the other restaurants out of business but I got totally wrong. Food was decent and reasonably priced. I came on a weekday around noon (they open at 11) so it wasn't busy. 3 stars because some of the food options I chose were warm/cold, not hot and fresh. We were very impressed with the variety, the vast number of different dishes, and the quality. Our waitress was extremely attentive and everything looked brand-new and tastefully decorated. Everything we ate, from the chilled seafood to the bbq ribs and the steamed broccoli were perfectly cooked. If you're in the mood, be sure to try the steak - thin but very tender and flavorful and cooked perfectly - rare! Dessert was the usual assortment of Chinese buffet sweets - but at Lin's they tasted so much better/sweeter/flavorful/nicely textured. We also enjoyed the very fresh sesame balls and sugar dough. The selection of ice creams included 8 flavors. So very neat and clean and tasty. We'll be back for sure. read more

This place is just like any other Chinese buffet around, food is not horrible and definitely not amazing! Sushi is As basic as it can possibly get! The restaurant is clean and nice looking. All of the food was orderly and looked very nice. The chinese and fried food all tasted the same. Now on to the reason for 1 star. The crab legs (which I was looking forward to) were off. They tasted as if they'd gone bad and they put them in new water to try to get rid of the rancid taste. They didnt smell pleasant either. Hoping I dont get sick from eating a little before concluding they were bad. The sushi pieces I had were made with bad or spoiling rice. No bueno! The fresh cooked steak was terribly tough. Large assortment of seafood, chinese and american food. Food is good quality and presented in clean environment. Plenty of servers ready to help, which was surprising for a buffet. Large crowds but people are processed through quickly. The best time to go is on the weekends because the have more of a selection. They serve crab legs on the weekend and you can make your own Pho. Most of the food left a lot to be desired. The General Tso's Chicken looked fresh, but the chicken was overcooked, and there wasn't much flavor. The egg rolls couldn't even top QuikTrip's. The fried fish was worse than Fred's Fish Fry. I've only been to Fred's once and was barely able to finish the fish...I couldn't finish the fish at Lin's. Lin's avoided a 1-star review because the fried rice was good, the restaurant was clean, and the service was good. read more

They no longer offer crab legs on weekends and prices have gone up. Food was not hot, lukewarm at best which is bad for food safety temperature wise. The wait staff was attentive and was quick to clear the table. Sushi bar also does not offer made to order hand rolls as many others do. read more

Had lunch at Lin's earlier today, the staff was very friendly and attentive no problems with that at all. The food was decent yet still pretty average for the price they charge per person. Although once I got my food and began to eat I noticed a small hair, it definitely wasn't anyone's at the table but I had completely lost my appetite. I'm not sure if it could've been from the cooking staff or maybe just another guest but personally I've never had this occur in other buffets I have visited... As far as buffet's go...this one is solid. Right at about $20 per. The selections are pretty good. You have "traditional Chinese" staples...i.e. fried rice, low mein, chicken & broccoli, beef & broccoli...then they step out of the box with pizza (didn't try it), fried chicken, french fries...items that you can get for the kids...I did have the build your own Pho...(not bad)...lots of Sushi... probably the best part of this buffet...the Jell-O is way too sweet...I heard the creme puffs were decent...the have scoop your own ice cream. An acquaintance bought me lunch here today. They had a good selection of Asian foods (although the pho had a peculiar taste I didn't care for). The employees were friendly. Drinks were refilled in a timely manner. I would prefer eating here again when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. read more

My family and I we're excited to try the new Lynn's Buffay that had just opened up not too long ago! Upon arrival it was promising, based on the sole fact that there were a few families eating. When we walked up to serve ourselves, anyone could grab the food which makes it dangerous because of COVID-19. And on top of that, The food was flavorless, cold and disgusting to say the least. My younger sister actually got food poisoning, and was sick for a few days after. She had asked one of the workers to make fresh macaroni and cheese and they came back with some thing that definitely was not Mack and cheese. I totally will never come here again!!! First time here on a weekend and it was Friday the food was all hot kept stocked(crawfish and crab legs ) and the servers are very quick to pick up your plates .dint get sick or have any bubble guts .lol but I would say the ice cream was a challenge and some flavors were out of stock but I'm sure if u just ask about it they would bring out more. flavor on everything was great will definitely be back . and nice buffet a must try read more

I love this new Asian buffet. The place is fairly new and it is quite clean and spacious. I really like the layout. It's a great place for couples as well as family gatherings. The hosts/hostesses and the cooks are great. I really enjoyed the sushi, which was not just pretty but was quite tasty. The dim sum is fabulous, as are the dumplings. The temperatures of all foods were consistent and the wait staff is attentive. It's a great, affordable addition to the neighborhood! read more

Used to love going to Lin's but from my last few visits, Sunday being the most recent.. I love it a lot less than when they first opened. Their hosts are uninviting, less friendly and... lazy. Friendly efficient service pairs nicely with the bao, sashimi, kimchi, and *two different squid salads*. The waitress actually suggested half and half sweet and unsweetened tea. That's extra trouble for no reason than just to be nice. I got to sip the perfect iced tea while nibbling whole baby squid and fresh jalapeño slices. I am a very happy man. There's general tso, corn on the cob, and macaroni and cheese for the unadventurous. There's an array of crab and shrimp for shellfish eaters. There's a variety of sushi to go with the sashimi I mentioned above. It's a busy Sunday afternoon, so the food is all constantly refreshed. It's all quite yummy. read more

Ok yelpers.... the wait is over lol. It's been several months since my last review, so here goes.... This place is amazing!!! I'm so glad it's finally open!! The bad reviews do not do this place justice. So being brand new of course everything is immaculate, from the ceiling to the floor and everything in between. Our wait staff was very attentive and super nice. So the food of course has all the usual things you will see at any other Chinese Buffett. What I loved most was their selection of sushi. They have a full sushi bar and I love that they serve it on ice like it should be. Other buffets you may go to may just have it sitting out, and since we are talking about raw fish to me that is not sanitary. Pleasantly surprised by this place! I usually try to stay away from these kinds of buffets from fear of getting sick, but I was super hungry for some Asian food and this place is 5 minutes from my house. The place is clean inside and there is lots of seating. They have lots of food variety including pho, sushi, brisket, ribs, stir fry, steak, salad, and fried foods. Desserts include cookies, ice cream, small pastries, and fruit. I tried just about everything except for the oysters (not trying to get sick but I did see people loading up on it). Some of the seafood, like the sushi and salmon, were just alright and definitely frozen not fresh but that's expected. However other dishes like the brisket and pho were actually pretty good. Overall definitely worth the money, especially since they have military discount. Not to mention it's nice to know I won't get sick haha. read more

My honey and I were so excited to finally go to Lin's since we love Asian buffets and King Buffet is much further away but a favorite. We finally came out on a Thursday night and the place was packed with people. I honestly thought the sweet and sour soup was pretty good but honestly had to 'doctor' my entrees with sauces like soy sauce to get any flavor out of anything. The rice noodles were bland and the egg rolls had 0 flavor. A sushi bar seemed well stocked but the dessert bar had cookies, pudding and an ice cream case with deep cartons that customers were trying to reach. They may want to rethink the ice cream case as kids and adults had their hands inside around the cartons. No thanks....Overall, it was a meh* experience. Quite expensive and agreed, no crab Rangoon, which seems to be a staple of most buffets. We'll stick to King Buffet.. read more

This is an amazing buffet. The food was super fresh, and while I didn't try everything I enjoyed everything I did. Of particular note were the crab legs on ice which were nice and meaty and unlike the typical slivers of meat I'd usually see at a buffet. The dim sum was great and I can't wait to go back and have more. And of particular note was the sashimi and nigiri. The sushi rolls themselves weren't anything I hadn't seen before, but I've never seen sashimi on a buffet and the nigiri was much better than other buffets I've visited. I did not try the pho, any of the noodles, rice or vegetables. (I'm eager to go back and try them!) I spent most of my time with the dumplings and fish. This is one of the best buffets I have been to, and I hope the amazing fresh food was indicative of the service going forward and not just because it was their first day.
