One of my favorite lunch spots in McLean. This place was recently renovated to include more seating on the inside. However, it still seems to be more of a carry-out place...due to limited parking. I love sandwiches here because of the bread. Crispy on the inside & chewy on the inside. My favorite is the chicken parm...which has a nice sweet tomato sauce. I absolutely loved this place! The pasta was always good! I loved the portobello mushroom ravioli! The delivery was always fast and all in all- I never had a bad experience. Until I went to go order it one day and discovered that they no longer deliver to my area!! It was like a matter of days. One day they delivered to me and a few days later they didn't. I was very disappointed and hope they will decide to expand their delivery range... I only live less than 3 miles away... :/ Update 12/22/15: randomly I am able to get delivery again from the yelp app but not grub hub or beyond menu for some reason. Still I am very pleased to have this place back in the menu in my household. I order probably at least once a week or every other week. Fantastic delivery service- never had a problem. Being from Chicago, we were pleasantly surprised by the pizza. Nice hole in the wall place. Seating isn't gonna win any awards. But we liked the food. Steak and cheese was nice and tender with lots of flavor. The bun was nice and fresh (on a Sunday for lunch). We also had a personal two topping pizza. Mushrooms and sausage. The mushrooms are fresh, not canned. Sausage has a nice fennel flavor. The sauce is tasty with a decent oregano flavor. You can get a pan or thin crust. We got thin and it wasn't soggy or overly crispy. Maybe a little too much cheese. Fries were the wide thick ones. They were ok. Cooked right. We'll definitely go there again. read more

This place lacks customer service. They make people wait for a simple side order and don't even provide utensils. For small orders, they will make you feel unwelcome to the extent, that you as a customer don't exist. The menu is limited and has not changed in years. read more

Food is fresh and great tasting. My sub is the Turkey Cobb. It taste great better than subway or any other small restaurant. Pizza is not bad at all. The workers are friendly and professional. IMO, their best food is Kabobs, not the sandwiches. I always order an extra Kabob salad for lunch the next day too. Supple saffron rice, top notch. Their green chile verde sauce is better than most Peruvian chicken joints. I read reviews before ordering and they were hit or miss. However, I tried it anyway and we were all very pleased! First, it was pouring rain and the delivery guy was awesome, getting here fast and dealing with the rain. But most importantly, the food was awesome too! We ordered a mushroom & extra cheese calzone, eggplant parm, linguini with baked cheese, and cannolis. I asked for my tomato sauce on the side for the eggplant parm in order to keep it crispy and that's exactly how it was delivered...the result was perfect! Got stuck in traffic this afternoon and decided to get some dinner here. I got the make your own pasta with bolognese sauce, linguini and baked cheese on top. I must say it was amazing!! The portions are huge.. so you have enough for lunch for the next day. The outside seating is perfect for a beautiful day like today. I've ordered lunch from there before and the delivery was fast and still hot. My coworker got the chicken salad and loved it. Really just depends on what day you order the pizza. We have ordered the same pizza several times and yet to have them prepared the same. Sometimes it is wonderful, sometimes dry, sometimes very greasy and tonight super heavy on the cheese. The stress of wondering what Listranis is going to make is more than we can handle. Probably not going to put ourselves through it again and will just pay the extra to eat at Crust. read more

We ordered takeout from this restaurant because their reviews were so impressive...but now, I think those reviews were inflated. We ordered two pizza pies, a medium one and a large one. We also ordered the chicken parm, which was good, garlic rolls and a tiramisu. To begin with, the pizza was awful. The crust was pre-fab or boxed. I would've rather have Diggiorno or any other frozen supermarket pizza than the thing they delivered to my house. The marinara was from a can and I am certain the pizza was not baked but microwaved. The chicken parm was good but the tomato sauce was from a can and they put raw garlic to hide it! The tiramisu was acceptable, but not great. This place is more like Italian fast food. I would not recommend this place and the reviews cant be real. The only good thing was the fast delivery. read more

I have had food catered from Listrani's several times. The Goat Cheese, Cranberry and Caramelized Pecans Salad is to die for and the pizza is excellent. We had the meat lasagna and the baked ziti at our holiday party and you can just tell it's homemade! Today I had the pleasure of dining outside at the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheese steak with peppers and onions. The bread is so fresh and the food is hot. We even had a delicious cannoli. I will without a doubt be back. I'm glad there's finally pickles now but like WHAT happened with the quality of the meat??? Must have been a relatively recent change. Weird thick blubbery low quality slices. Very unappetizing. This was my go-to place to order subs from for my family and out of town guests, and I'd be embarrassed to take them there now. Might as well just pick up a pre-made sandwich at the food store. If you need to up the price a little, do it, just don't cut corners on quality. I also remember the bread being a little better although I could be wrong. Great spot for Italian takeout in Mclean. Have eaten here several times for lunch and dinner and the food is always fresh and well prepared. The Baked Ziti is ridiculously good with an awesome meat sauce and very generous amount of mozzarella on top. The lasagna is also very delicious.
