    Wings, appetizer sampler
    Marjan W.

I love listrani's and visit often for Friday night carry out. Their wings are spicy and I recently tried the appetizer sampler which was a unique mix as it had breaded shrimp. I typically opt for their Italian salad and this is my favorite. It comes with antipasta and a very good house dressing but recently tried their Caesar and wasn't disappointed. Their salads are fresh and have good toppings. Most recently I tried their pizza and this was good. It's not NY style but it was delicious and cheesy. I order directly through the website most of the time as they offer discounts if you purchase over a certain amount. Parking can be challenging some times as it is a small lot but you can park on the street nearby. Lastly, the service is always great as their workers are genuinely friendly. I highly recommend this spot for a quick takeout dinner.

Highly recommend coming here for their pizzas. Their New York style pizzas are so delicious. Loaded toppings cooked to perfection. I would pass on their pastas as their noodles are overcooked and just lacking. But their pizza, well worth it!

No meat in steak sub ripoff. $9.00 down the drain

No meat is this $9.00 steak sub. What a rip-off, i will never come back. They think they're going to go bankrupt if they put some meat in it. Hope they shut down soon

Run-of-the-mill pizza joint with reliable delivery in under a half hour. I ordered the chicken wings, grilled eggplant and onion pizza, eggplant parmesan and everything was mediocre. I don't recommend ordering toppings as they aren't weaved into the cheese, but are underneath the cheese. I didn't like the grilled eggplant and onion toppings and wish I had just stuck with cheese. The pizza is super cheesy. The fried eggplant parmesan served on a soft roll was okay and really cheesy like the pizza. The wings were also average. If you are craving pizza and wings, I would go with Domino's instead.

Excellent burgers too... just check your order before you leave or the delivery person does as twice they delivered something else.

Ordered for the first time looking at reviews. Was not impressed with pizza. Pizza tasted more like frozen than freshly baked.

The buffalo mozzarella beet salad normally comes with arugula, and I asked to substitute lettuce, but they weren't able to accommodate that--which was a bit disappointing. That said, the salad was still very good. The roasted beets were definitely the highlight, along with the delicious toppings like chickpea purée and pistachios. One thing to note is that the buffalo mozzarella was very salty. The Margherita Pizza was the star of the meal--absolutely delicious! In fact, hubby liked it even more than his chicken Milanese. While he enjoyed his dish, the portion was quite small, so he ended up eating half of my pizza. His entrée also came with just a tiny arugula side salad, and it really could have used a carb to make it more filling. One thing to note is that when we arrived and told the hosts that we didn't have a reservation, they didn't seem too pleased. The restaurant was half empty so they still sat us, but this seemed like an issue. Our server was nice and attentive at the beginning but was nowhere to be found towards the end when I needed a refill on my iced tea. Overall, we had a great experience and are already planning to come back--next time, we'll both be ordering pizza!

The restaurant had a big menu! Lots of different options which also included other food besides pizza. I ordered the gluten free pizza. The crust was good, but for the price the pizza was pretty mid. Not a lot of flavor :/ Service was also okay. The guy at the front desk taking orders didn't know a lot about the menu or restaurant. When I asked him questions about the menu, he didn't know the answers. I also asked to order a certain item and he said they didn't sell that. I pointed it out on the menu and he was confused. He then put in the order for a different option instead. I nicely corrected the order to be the one I initially said and he got confused again and kept checking the menu. It was a struggle. The restaurant and bar itself were nice and clean. Lots of booths and places to sit! Honestly, with the service and the mid-tasting food, I probably won't return, but it did the job in a pinch.

Growing up Italian stateside, I never knew about this light, wavy pasta dish. So pappardelle pasta is like some rare delicacy and I love it. This pasta dish is not easy to find unless it has been popularized in the Italian dining scene, recently. How can I explain this pasta? Papardelle are not thick like butter noodles, but instead they are thin yet wide. And at Dal Grano's, they must be experienced to be savoured. Do call ahead, because they might just have them made. Dal Grano's is a neighborhood place. We love how when you are dining, they actually talk to you and are friendly. There are a few other places around Mclean proper which I wish were more overtly warm and hospitable, in this way. All of Dal Grano's pasta is homemade and delicious. It's definitely great for carryout pasta or a diner-style environment with a homemade pasta lunch or dinner. I don't think they deliver or work with any of the delivery services. You just call and pickup. The butternut squash ravioli is tender and flavorful. We have probably have gotten different versions of their ravioli every time. Outside of the papardelle, I'm all in for their rich squid ink pasta when it's made. I don't go there enough to know if it's always available. They have over 50 homemade pasta combinations to choose from and a big freezer case of food to take home. My biggest issue with Dal Grano's is when I see all of the pastas in the serving bowls presented to order and cook, I want to buy them all at once. I know it sounds tacky, but they make me yearn for a pasta buffet there just so that I can taste all of the variations. Alas, if we were in town more we'd just need to go more often to taste all of their selection. There's only one other restaurant that does Italian this well and it's around 15 minutes away in Falls Church. But even that fabulous Italian restaurant does not compare with the amount and selection of homemade pastas at Dal Grano's.
