Can not veganize any of the specialty drinks and when trying to figure out something I could do, the drink that got recommended to me had white chocolate in it. Which then makes me concerned about any ingredients, food or drinks that I ask about and actually getting an accurate answer if it's vegan or not. Also, this place offers vegan sausage but not anything else. No vegan eggs no vegan cheese etc. The place itself is cute. Few outdoor tables for when the weather is nice. Although it's a little strange to me that it's also a hibachi restaurant or something like that. While waiting, some people's food got messed up. I received my avocado toast and then sat there for another 5 to 10 minutes before my mom got her bowl. Food was good. Coffee was mediocre. Bathrooms were not kept at all. Trash on the floor in both of them. Out of paper towels and seat covers. Other than the lack of knowledge of the menu, staff was really nice. Cozy place for food and caffeine! The place itself is cute, but super super tiny - there's no formal waitlist and the servers don't help you with seating so it's a free for all. We had a party of 4 and were struggling to find a table. You order food and drinks from the front and you also tip first, which I don't mind but the service was lacking. We had to get our own napkins, utensils, water, and condiments. The only water dispenser was right by the cash register too so it's not easily accessible. I think we got checked on maybe once during our meal. The food itself was good; I got the steak and eggs and my honey got the fish and chips. Both were pretty good and the flavor was on point. My steak was a bit chewy, but I think that's more due to the cut as opposed to them overcooking it. For drinks I got the matcha with coconut water which was very refreshing and honey got an ube lavender latte which she enjoyed. Overall, I'd love to visit this place again, but I do hope the service improves a bit. read more

I've been to Little Avalon a few times since they showed up in the Southwest. There's plenty of parking and seating in the morning, but easily fills up by lunchtime. They offer counter service - so you order and pay at the register, grab your number and take a seat. They will bring your food and beverages to you, but you're on your own for grabbing utensils and condiments. There's also a water station by the register. The do not accept cash! Their menu ranges from breakfast fare that includes a burrito, muffin, french toast, sandwich, pancake, waffles, etc. They have sandwiches and toast, most are on sourdough but a few are on bagels, brioche, or ciabatta. Lunch and dinner offerings include burgers, fish & chips, steak, fries, chicken fingers, burritos, and chicken wings. They also have bowls that have bases that include rice or salad greens. There are also acai bowls too. Beverages are quite extensive with the classics, specialty lattes, matcha, smoothies, lemonades, and seasonal drinks. There's pretty much something for everyone. I've gotten the * Burrata Toast $12 - I like how toasted the sourdough bread is. I feel like it could use a bit more acid though, even though there's lemon zest on there. * Mom's Breakfast Sandwich $16 - I apparently have gotten this dish more than once without realizing it. It's a fully loaded sandwich with egg, bacon, avocado, cheese, and sauce. And again, love how toasted the bread is here. I really love how crispy their hash browns are. It's probably the crunchiest hash browns I've ever had. They need to do a side order of these, or a basket even. I would totally get that! My friend loves their Lox Bagel $15. The first time they really piled on the salmon, so we were very impressed. The second time had a good amount, but not quite as much. Also appreciated that they could sub the bagel for sourdough instead. I haven't tried any of their specialty drinks and they do have quite a few that sound amazing. My friend had the Ube Honey Lavender Latte $7.50, and would not stop talking about how yummy it was. She couldn't tell that the cold foam was supposed to be ube, but she loved it nonetheless. She was very tempted to get a second one on this visit. She's also had the Dubai Chocolate Matcha on a previous visit and liked it too. Service - There really isn't much service to talk about. They take your order and bring out your food, so there's minimal interaction beyond that. There's no water service or anyone checking up on you. We never see a place to put our dirty dishes, so everyone just leaves it to be cleared by the staff. I've been to other counter service only establishments and more often than not, they will bring your utensils to you. I notice that everyone gets their food and realizes they don't have any utensils, so they then get up to get them. The location of their water container is a bit awkward as it's right next to the register. I always feel like I'm right in someone's space since it's so close to the customers ordering. read more

First impression was a great one. I liked the breakfast and lunch menu choices. I ordered a Teriyaki Bowl with Steak plus a cortado. The bowl was excellent. The high quality fresh ingredients were tasty and steak was lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I would recommend going lighter on the spicy mayo. It wasn't spicy, but was applied a little heavier than I like. The cortado was well executed and beans have good flavor, reminiscent of other coffee shops (mothership, Makers and Finders, etc.). I tried the loaded fries and the chicken wings. I couldn't get the buffalo sauce on the wings because the sauce has butter in it. So I opted for a sweeter sauce option for the wings. Came in for a quick coffee, the place was filled with people but there was no line, as orders were taken quite quickly. After ordering, I got our drinks in less than 5 mins. Other than the small space, the customer service is great. Every employee we came across was extremely helpful, and had such a positive attitude. The food was a bit expensive. I think I paid about $69 for my significant other and I's orders. We ordered the Carne Asada Fries, the Double Fried Chicken Sandwich, 2 of the Banana Cream Cold Brews (both iced), and the Cali Burrito. The presentation was excellent. The food looked just as good as it tasted. The chicken sandwich was really juicy, and the carne asada fries were different than what I'm used to, but tasty nonetheless. My partner wasn't the biggest fan of the Cali Burrito, but he managed to finish it. The cold brews were absolutely amazing, and we were so sad we couldn't get free refills. I came across this little hidden gem behind Fukuburger on a day that I was craving some cozy cafe food. Particularly an acai. Lo and behold- Little Avalon shows up on my 'Yelp Radar.' It's a coastal themed cafe- rustic, wooden aesthetic with quiet pop music playing. A perfect place if you're coming to study, work on the computer, or even to just get the day started. Service- The staff has been pretty hospitable to me and my family when we go there. The barista comes to deliver your food and drinks to your table so you don't have to bother getting up to grab them. The Food- okay, here are some MUST TRY's that I've had so far: House Made Chicken & Waffles- If you're a fan of heat and sweet, you HAVE to try this one! So savory and satisfying! Acai Fruit Bowl- They let you choose how many bases you want. I'd recommend the Amazon Acai and White Coconut bases.
