I've been here a few times for soft serve while visiting Golden Gardens. It's so hard to find soft serve in Seattle so I would give them five stars on that alone! I passed by today and noticed they have an awesome pandemic-friendly set-up, which is a plastic-shielded takeout window so you can get your soft serve right from the sidewalk, contact-free. We came here this past weekend and were surprised by the line and the wait. The food is simply OK, but it's one of the few spots to grab a bite in this area and it is walking distance from Golden Gardens. Some items on their menu: Fish/Clam Strips/Oysters/Prawns with chips. Food=brilliant, spectacular, beautiful? Enchanting. With that being said......all the provided packaging (bag,napkins, disposable cups) love to blow away in the wind. I finish my moist but crispy Alaskan cod fillet fried crispy fish tender alongside my fries, everything is perfect. Suddenly, a gust of wind uprooted my paper bag and it bolted off the table. It blew at such astonishing speed it knocked a middle age woman off her feet and unconscious. Before I could react, my clam chowder bowl blew the opposite direction, striking the wheel well of a Ford Focus. The car exploded, killing 7 people...... before I could react to the second crisis, my napkins caught a strong gust and shot upwards. Within seconds a BOEING 747 airbus crashes to the ground. Later it was revealed on the pre crash cockpit audio the little coney napkin abstracted their view. It was the sole cause of the crash. Great food! But make sure you place a weighted object on your to-go packaging! read more

Little Coney is a pretty dingy food shack right next to Golden Gardens, serving up classics like burgers and hot dogs, as well as fish n chips, and soft serve. While the interior isn't the fanciest, it's got a weird kind of charm to it. You don't find a lot of small, divey beach town food joints in Seattle. It's very reminiscent of the kind of place you would find on a California beach boardwalk. I came to Little Coney because I had really been craving a corn dog, and my boyfriend said they did them here. The only other place I can think to get a corndog in Seattle is Unicorn, and not only am I not down to spend $10 on a corn dog, but Unicorn is only 21+, so I thought Little Coney was worth a shot. While I did get my corn dog fix for pretty cheap ($3.45), I was disappointed to find that they were simply Foster Farms brand frozen corn dogs that they just fried up for you. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more from this place, but if I had know that, I would've just bought a box of them at the grocery store. We also got an M&M flurry, which, while decently big and pretty tasty (it's really hard to go wrong with M&Ms mixed into soft serve), was not worth the $6 that it cost. You're better off going to McDonalds and getting a McFlurry there. If you're already at Golden Gardens and looking for a quick (greasy) bite to eat, Little Coney isn't a bad place to stop; there's a nice view of the water that you can look out on. However, definitely don't go out of your way to come here. read more

My wife and I finally stopped here after many years of going to Golden Gardens beach. Years of passing this small business and never stopping. Well, we finally did last month and glad we did. We had hamburgers and fries and a soft drink. The burgers were delicious along with the fries. Very good food. Recommended for a quick bite. Going back again and will try the ice cream. Paseo is closed on Sunday and Monday! The whole car screamed. Half heartily, our car sulked down to Little Coney, and even though I'd never been there, after you have Paseo on the brain pan there's no substitute... I expected the worst. Which is exactly why Little Coney surprised me! It's like fair food without the fair! Delicious crinkle-cut fries, fish and chips, corn-dogs, and burgers that will take you back to your old neighborhood drive-in! I've visited Little Coney twice in recent memory. Reviewing past history is a waste of my time and yours, and I care about you using your time wisely...or something. The only really noteworthy memories about either visit has nothing to do with the food. It's unremarkable, often overly greasy, and occasionally undercooked. The most recent was in lieu of a Tea Time event, Don and I ended up here for lunch before cavorting off to Redmond for a fabulous time at the movies. The views aren't all that great from here, with the boat launch and docks in the way of most of it. If there's boating going on, you can people watch the ramp. It's about as exciting as it sounds. The main draw here is likely the ice cream, nostalgia and it's proximity to Golden Gardens. Location, location, location, right? Little Coney could do much better, and they should, but I don't think they are in danger of going too far south with the few draws they have solidly going for them. read more

Clam Chowder is nectar of the gods on a cold, wet, windy morning when you're heading out to race on a sailboat and you're expecting to get beaten senseless by waves, wind and hopefully not the boom. Unless you're lactose intolerant, of course. In which case, just stick with fries and a BLT. I've had a burger here, a chicken sandwich, and chicken strips. Not all at once. All are reasonably tasty, definitely worth it when I forget to pack a lunch and I know I'm going to be out on the water for 3-4 hours. Sometimes the orders can take a bit long. Usually that doesn't matter much to me, but if you've got a boat waiting for you at X Dock don't order anything too complex. You'll "miss the boat." AHHAHAAHAHA *cough* sorry. After a summer race, when the wind has been dead and we've been baking in the sun on a downwind leg, the soft-serve ice cream is as refreshing as the idea that George Dubya won't be president after next year. Again... unless you're lactose intolerant. That explains why the lactose intolerant people are so liberal. read more

After getting full from a Paseo sandwich, and enjoying a nice, cool autumn day, the logical thing to do is to get an ice cream cone, right? This is probably one of the best ice cream cones I have had in awhile. My mom and I each out ourselves a small, and lets just say that the small here is probably a large at other places. I died a little in the parking lot of Zesto last Saturday. It could be that I feel a bit strangled by the wet wash cloth that is this spring that leads me to foisting such melodrama upon you. However, for brief periods that day, I really felt that spring had sprung. Before the sun could disappear behind another block of cloud cover, I remembered what it was to have a summer. And then I felt hungry for soft serve... But Zesto let me down. And I wasn't about to go to McDonald's on a day I wanted to enjoy. So, driving along the coast with our hearts burning for a little soft serve, my friend and I came upon a beacon of hope: Little Coney. It was pink, even in the shade. It was full, even though old people kept double parking in the lot. Our soft serve and french fries were great (especially together). If your order is under $3, don't forget cash. Really, they have so many foods to go with your soft serve: hamburgers, espresso, soda, and a whole array of fried delicacies. You can make a Christmas tree out of your soft serve and fries, like I did. Or you could make a little boat and set it to sail on a float of soft serve and soda. Not sure if there's been an ownership change or just price changes, but I will not be returning here again. $40 for 3 shakes, an order of the fish & chips (2 piece) and 1 cheeseburger /fries meal. I couldn't even purchase a meal per person and had it not been for the 2 VERY hungry children that were with me, I wouldn't have stayed to order. (Red Robin doesn't even charge this much for 2 meals & 3 drinks). The fish tasted like it was Van De Kamps frozen fish pieces, definitely not what was expected for spending $9.99 - the cheeseburger was decent but not gourmet & I thought the shakes would be a lot bigger, specially when they cost $5.99. The view and location are nice but seriously, if you're looking for good food, good views & fair prices - go down the way to Anthony's. Order from the bar menu (happy hour is 4-6) and most everything is $5. Dummy me, I should have just gone there! read more

This place has DELICIOUS soft serve ice cream! I've never eaten anything else here, but I can definitely recommend the ice cream. The price might seem a bit high at first glance, but once you see the size of the small cone, you'll understand why - it's HUGE! I can't even imagine what the large size looks like. Next time we'll probably get a kids size because what we had was nearly too much! The staff is young and friendly. The interior is a bit small, but on a warm, summer day you'd probably want to take the food down to Golden Gardens anyway. On a day like yesterday, my boyfriend and I sat on stools near the window and looked out at the water while eating our cones. Even though it was sunny and gorgeous, it was cold and windy, so it was nice to be able to enjoy our ice cream and watch the kiteboarders from inside. A definite stop for dessert on a warm day. It's just as you'd expect - good and greasy. Enjoy your order at one of the outside tables, where you can watch locals launch their boats or return from a morning outing on the water. The view is to die for, and on a beautiful day, I can't imagine a better place to enjoy some tasty fried treats. PS. If you're a fan of the DQ Blizzard (and don't understand WHY they don't have any DQ's in Seattle!?!?!), head to Little Coney for a Flurry, a lovely take on the Blizzard, mixing soft ice cream with everything from Butterfinger to Oreos. Not sure if we had an uncommon experience, but my fiancé and I quite enjoyed our random Tuesday evening at Little Coney. We got there at 6pm on a beautiful evening, and there was no wait for us. Surprising, because there seemed to be a lot of people at Golden Gardens. The service was good, and prompt. The prices weren't too exuberant, and the food was standard, but definitely tasty. Living literally across the street from Small Fryes in Fall City, I have an idea of what the food was going to be like. Little Coney does it just a bit better. I was almost sad that I ordered a milkshake before I saw someone who got an ice cream come. I had questioned the price of a cone, until I caught a glimpse of why. HOT DAMN, they are huge. Apart from the fact that you may be annoyed by other patrons on a busy day, I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

The good: Little Coney's right beside Golden Gardens Park, a small dock, boa tlaunch and pier. With that you've the ability to walk around at your leisure, enjoy the ocean breeze, etc. The staff also seemed friendly enough, especially for being as rushed as I've seen them. The bad: The food pure and simple. Milkshakes are practically soft serve in a drinking cup (not too flavorful and not exactly something you'd describe as thick). I've also had better hot dogs from vending machines and 7/11s, and their condiments were a bit more fresh as well. At the very least the relish didn't have an awkward blue hue to it. read more

I'm really not sure why we come here. The food is straight frozen from Sysco and the prices are really pretty high. There is just something about it that makes us come back. The Wife really likes how they dress her Gardenburger and I find that the tangy dressing and crisp lettuce on the burgers make what was a frozen patty taste ... right. Fine dining? Whoops! Didn't realize Paseo was closed on Monday... Total tourist mistake.. Crap, now what are we going to eat!? We're going to starve!!! This was our initial panic when trying to venture to Golden Gardens beach on a Monday afternoon. The area was pretty dead besides residential traffic. Definitely not the tourist beach!! My friends and I trekked like cattle for a good two miles and stumbled upon this little building called Little Coney. It sold fish sandwiches, burgers, and ice cream. There was actually a line coming out of the restaurant and no where else seemed to be selling food, so we figured to give it a try. I got the burger combo and was pleasantly surprised. It was nothing fancy, but looked and tasted decent. My boyfriend got the onion rings, which were fried nicely and crispy. No complaints there! Sadly, no drink refills. I was so thirsty!!! It seems to be a small family run shop; the front cashier didn't speak english very well. But he got the job done. Eat here if you have no other options. It's really not that bad. To be honest, I was expecting a little more from a place like this. This building sits right on the shore next to Golden Gardens park and it's got an amazing view of the bay. It's interior is the equivalent of any cheap greasy place you'd find on a beach boardwalk, but it's got a monopoly for the entire beach since there are no other restaurants around. But trying all their seafood, I would say its about average to what you would find at any beach boardwalk. Heavily fried, and lots of ketchup, cocktail sauce, and mayonnaise. Stay away from their clam chowder....it wasn't that great. Almost tasted metallic/chemically. Normally, I would give a place like this 3 stars, BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE OLD BAY!! Maybe I'm a little spoiled because I'm from Maryland, but WHO HASN'T HEARD OF OLD BAY?! read more

My fish sandwich should serve as a model for Mac's as to how to do it. Two tasty chunks of real fish breaded and fried on a good bun with lettuce, sliced cucumbers and tartar sauce. Food is bomb. Ice cream is super bomb. Perfect beachside burger place. Golden Gardens is a really popular beach area so grills aren't often available and it can be difficult to snag a firepit. The view here is great, yet with all those windows it was chilly in the winter. The food was all deep fried, not even any coleslaw in the winter so be prepared. Even though the food was freshly cooked to order, the service was disappointing. The youngish man behind the counter could have easily brought our food to the table as we were at the end of the counter opening, over 65 and not so nimble any more. He called our number even though we were the only folks there and we had to get food or beverage several times. Come on, even McDonald's brings food to the table and they charge way less than $16. for an order and a soft drink. I wouldn't go here again. read more

Cute little waterfront food shack near Shilshole Marina and Golden Gardens. We stopped in after a long day of crabbing for some burgers, milkshakes and fries. Ohhhh the fries! Salty, perfection. My old-fashioned cheeseburger was slim, greasy and delicious. Others at my table had the corndog and bacon burgers (these don't come with cheese unless you specify!). You can get any variety of fried seafood here, even clam strips which I'll try next time. Usually a line to order but goes decently fast.
