I've lived in the neighborhood for years and somehow had never made it to Little Dom's. After finally trying it with a couple of friends, I can definitely see why it's so popular. We went on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was packed, so I'd recommend making a reservation. That said, the atmosphere still felt casual, warm, and perfect for a dinner with friends or a date night. We started with the Little Gem salad and the calamari. The calamari was seasoned really well, though I wish the pieces had been a little more plump. We also ordered the fish piccata with asparagus, a side of smashed potatoes that were perfectly crispy and absolutely delicious, and the spaghetti. Everything we tried was flavorful, and I ended up finishing every bite of my fish. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe made the whole experience even better. We ended up walking to Jeni's for dessert afterward, but next time I'm definitely saving room to try dessert here. Overall, this was a memorable meal, and I'm so glad I finally stopped in. I've lived just down the street from Little Dom's for years and have never eaten there. Why? I have no idea. My wife suggested we order take out and try their chicken parm entree. So we did and chose sautéed spinach for the side. We pulled up and I ran into get our order. I was not very happy that an AUTOMATIC gratuity of %15 was added to our bill. Tipping, in my mind, is usually for "service" and putting food in a bag simply isn't it. Strike one. The chicken parm ($30)was just ok. Good but not truly great. Little Dom's: The Internet Acts Like This Place Killed Their Nonna I genuinely don't understand the low rating for Little Dom's. Is it life-changing Italian food flown in from a tiny village in Sicily by candlelight? No. Is it consistently good comfort food in one of LA's best neighborhoods? Absolutely. I eat here a few times a year because it's one of those easy, reliable dinner spots where you can walk over with friends or family and know you're going to have a good night. I was just here again tonight and ordered two appetizers for the table the sourdough bread and the rice balls. Get the rice balls. Trust me. Crispy, cheesy little happiness grenades. I also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which I get basically every time. The noodles and sauce just hit for me. Yes, it's Americanized Italian. I suspect that's where some of the dramatic Yelp outrage comes from. But sometimes I want comfort food, not a lecture from someone who studied abroad in Florence for six weeks. Service was good not great, nice guy but only checked on the drinks once the entire time we were there. For four people ordering four mains, two appetizers, a soda, and two alcoholic drinks, the bill came out to $177 before tip, which honestly felt pretty reasonable for Los Feliz in 2026. The ambiance is classic neighborhood Italian spot energy. Nothing wildly fancy, but that's kind of the charm. Plus, being in Los Feliz is part of the experience anyway. To the wonderful team at Little Dom's, I am sending a note following our team dinner. My boss recommended your restaurant, and we had a truly excellent experience. We particularly enjoyed the variety of dishes we ordered. The espresso martinis were fantastic, I ended up having two to start! For appetizers, we shared two salads (the green salad and the gem lettuce salad) and the Beef Carpaccio. The famous pizza margherita was a huge hit; it disappeared so quickly that we had to order a second one. I ordered the chicken parmesan based on a strong recommendation, and it was outstanding. Spent a rainy lunch here with a friend who insists on visiting every time they're in town and now I see why! The interior is adorable, with leather booths and a bar at the front where we sat. The windows are nice and large: the best place to people watch on the street with a latte. Since they close after lunch, our server let us hang out at our table for over 2 hours to chat over tea and coffee. He was very accommodating and our food came out quickly and pipping hot! To start, we split the rice balls appetizer, which were perfectly fried on the outside, yet warm and sticky on the inside with cheese and plump rice. It paired really well with the marinara sauce on the side and I appreciated the extra bit of Parmesan and fresh herbs on top to make the dish more visually appealing. For my main course, I ordered the calabrese fried chicken sandwich and absolutely loved it! The toasted brioche bun was buttery, soft and slightly sweet. The chicken was very well seasoned, battered and fried, and well complimented by the acidity from the pickles tomatoes and heat from the aioli. The side salad was a great palate cleanser between bites too. I ate a bite of the ricotta blueberry pancakes and can attest that they are very rich and heavy, so consider splitting it with someone if you aren't ravaging. Very disappointing experience. We waited over an hour for a table on a Tuesday night, then nearly another hour for our food after ordering. We were seated for about two hours total and never had our water glasses or drinks refilled. Throughout the meal, our server never checked in on us, and the only person who asked how things were going was a manager who stopped by once. It took an hour + to get our plates cleared and a final check. For my brother's birthday, I asked if they could do something special or small and they brought out a brownie--but then charged us $14 for it. We had a fun time before our drive to North Hollywood for a play. The place opened at 5 PM, and you MUST have a reservation. We got a great table sitting in a semi circular booth in the middle of their small dining room. The restaurant reminded me of a "retro train car" with lots of photos on the walls of old celebrities, and old fashioned chairs and tables. We ordered plenty of food, but I forgot to take photos of the 4 desserts we ordered. How we wished they had lasanga (ONLY made on Friday's for their special that night) and their chicken parmesean is served without pasta or vegetables. Instead they charge a ridiculous $11-$13, side of pasta, asparagus, sauteed spinach, etc. when every other restaurant I've ever been to includes it. Very Disappointing! (If you wanted to add sides of veggies & pasta that dish becomes very expensive and makes no sense). There were lots of unique Italian name pastas we had to have explained to us, we had never heard of them before, so we were afraid to try something we had never heard of before. It was a cold night and some comfort Italian sounded good after an evening stargazing at the Observatory. Busy but they got us sat quickly at a table outside which at first was freezing but eventually someone got the heat lamps working properly. The drinks were fantastic. The pizza was paper thin and the sauce wasn't very flavorful. The chicken Parm the sauce tasted like jar Ragu sauce. The side of pasta with garlic and butter was the highlight of the meal. I feel the kitchen ingredients may be subpar to save money and resting on location and history to keep it crowded. I would go back for the drinks and maybe try some other dishes to see if something was good. Also tasted the Pappardelle and it wasn't great either. So 3 out of 4 dishes missed the mark. However, Chef Brandon Boudet is from NOLA, so there's even a Fried Oyster Po-Boy on the menu with an Italian twist. The restaurant emits old school NYC charm with classic leather booths. The vibe is neighborhood friendly, and the staff will greet you with a warm smile. Bartender Veronica was fantastic and engaging. They had a specialty cocktail with proceeds going to benefit Cal-Fire. It was called Station 35 and was comprised of Gin, Lime Cordial, & Pomegranate juice. My companions requested it with Tequila instead of Gin and Veronica happily obliged. I had a sip and it was very tasty. The LD Cosmo caught my eye. The combination of house-infused Lemon Vodka, Mandarin Napoleon Liqueur, Cranberry Cordial, & Lime took this Cosmopolitan to the next level. It was delicious. We didn't order any food but the aromas coming out of the kitchen smelled so good. I definitely need to come back for a meal and perhaps even try the Monday Night Supper, which is three courses for $25. *Reservations recommended for dinner. Some friends invited me to try out Little Dom's on the east side and it was such a delight to try this local gem. Located in Los Feliz, Little Dom's is the neighborhood institution. Upon walking in you can definitely feel the classic Italian restaurant vibes and the tables were filled with people on dates all the way to large parties like ours, with kids an adult alike. We ordered a few of their classic dishes, and the highlights for me were there an archini and spaghetti and meatballs. The portions were generous, the wait stuff were super kind and welcoming, and this is definitely a kid friendly location. They had something on the menu for everyone. I also have to say that they're tiramisu was 10 out of 10, I could have eaten three more servings. I definitely want to come back to try more of their pasta dishes and a few of the other items that are server highlighted are their classics. Hubs and I love New Orleans. We couldn't go to Mardi Gras so we searched up LA restaurants where we could have Mardi Gras eats and found an article about Little Dom's and their Chef who is from Nola. I have always wondered what this place was like, as my kid takes some lessons at a nearby art studio. Add that to the article boasting of yumminess and Nola favorites and we booked ourselves a table the night before Fat Tuesday. The place was hopping when we arrived. Had to wait a little bit for a table but got seated right at the time we booked. The interior was made up of booths and tables. Felt like we were in New York or someplace not LA. The website said we might see a celebrity or two, and we actually did the minute we were seated. That night they had a special menu of Mardi Gras eats and that is what we stuck to ordering. We ordered the roast beef Po-Boy, bbq oysters, gumbo and Crawfish Monica along with Primm Cup and other drinks. Our waitress was super nice from start to finish. She even brought out an order of jambalaya balls (the only item on the special menu we didn't order) on the house, so we could try those. Everything, including my Primm Cup was really good! I'm not sure what their regular food is like but their Mardi Gras food was delicious! Served sampler size, the portions were just perfect for the 3 of us to share .We got to try everything and the best, we still had room for dessert. We ordered the King Cake and the beignets with raspberry sauce. Both were outstanding and my kid pulled the plastic baby out of the King Cake! For an adult this meant a free shot but for a kid the waitress gave ours, an option of various gelato flavors. So kiddo got a second dessert and raved about the taste.
