Fun little place with lots of options for candy. Unfortunately, their YELP has not been updated as they do not serve ice cream, which is why we were heading there. We have been coming here for years. They typically have amazing muffins, baklava, homemade ice cream, etc. But, by far the best thing we've had there is their cheesecake. It is an old recipe with a browned top almost like a basque style. It's light yet rich, and has just the right sweetness. We order these for special occasions all the time and they're always a big hit. Right now, the owner is only offering pre-ordered cheesecakes for pick up. Figuring, why not, I'm always up for a bakery, I pulled into the spacious parking lot and was encouraged by the founding date (1987) out front as well as the location in the middle of farm land. Upon entry, I was further encouraged by the thrift store vibe with piles of books and vases and little honey spoons. The bakery serves a variety of Greek pastries as well as Americana baked foods. I don't know much about Greek desserts, so I ordered a kourambie (which was a powdered sugar almond cookie) and the kataifi (light and crunchy dessert with honey and walnuts), as well as the raspberry pie. Every. Last. Item. Was. Amazing. I'm from the South so I am partial to a good pie and the pie crust was baked to perfection and was sooooo delicious I'm sad that it is gone. And even though I don't know much about Greek pastries, I know enough that the ones I ordered were incredible. Such a fun find on a drive through Fairfield. Cannot recommend enough! read more

We really enjoyed the fluffy blueberries muffins with a perfect crisp and balanced sweetness. I was such a fan of the Kouranbie that I had to run back and get 6 more to give away as gifts. Cute litte bakery and candy shop near the Rockville hills regional park. There's plenty of parking. The bakery itself is filled with an assortment of candies, books, vintage decor, and a lovely lady at the register. It smells wonderful inside!! Maybe the customer service has improved in the past few years since I went here with my sister, however when we entered the little shop we were not greeted by the lady behind the counter when we first walked in. The only reason we went was a close friend had recommended the establishment and he raved about how good the cheesecake was. Cheesecake - EASILY the best cheesecake I've ever had!!! I'll start by saying I am not a sweets loving person 90+% of pastries or desserts I try are to sweet imo. This cheesecake though is absolutely perfect for me. It's creamy in the best way possible and the lightest touch of sweetness which was paired exquisitely with some pears we got from down the road. Cookies - I don't remember what they were called but were comparable in size and sweetness to a biscotti. These cookies were much more crumbly and are amazing with a good cup of coffee. If you didn't hear me the first time THE GREATEST CHEESECAKE EVER!!! Just go try it out. It was literally so good we had to stop and pick up an entire cheesecake for 40 dollars the day before the drive back to Vegas. read more

If I could give a 0 star, I feel that would be more fitting for the experience I just received. We drove past and instantly I wanted pies/ cheesecake. We made a u-turn. I LOVE supporting local businesses esp mom/pop shops so I was very excited! We go in and I think it's a quaint adorable little area with a children's reading corner. I arrive at the order window and ask for an Apple or strawberry pie. She instantly shuts me down saying we're out of ALL pies and cheesecake! She explained that we have to preorder and we tried to preorder. She said she won't be open tomorrow or Tuesday and then we asked to order Wednesday and instantly said she'll be away for a week and that she won't accept any orders until the following wed. I feel like she should've been nicer in the way she explained that it was sold out. Wasn't welcoming and didn't seem to care if we ever returned for future orders. I was hopeful about this place and I just wish she would've had a better attitude. Apparently, she has enough business to not even want new or more customers anymore. read more

Very cute little bakeshop. Love the feel of this bakery. The muffins are over the top sweet and a little over priced. I think the old lady has lost her touch over the years because the last few times I went they were hard and burnt and way tooo sweet. I haven't been back since. Would come back but there is no place to sit and enjoy the treats and coffee nor is there a bathroom for customers. And if u catch the owner on an off day she is quite grumpy. Lol. P.S. Old New York style classic beautifully done cheesecake. There were so many delicious choices. It was hard to choose. The store itself has lots of little different candies, or even the tootsie rolls are $.10. Make sure you bring cash as is a cash only place. It's very sweet for me but it's perfect match with their cherrywood roasted espresso. It's closed like I don't belong. What a bad experience so far. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Rude and just overall not helpful. Hours said Sunday from 9:30-4.
