Very nice and breezy outdoor patio. Staff is friendly but at times busy. Loved their chicken wings and seafood pancake the most. The short rib on noodles was good as well.

Behold the $27 chicken banh mi.

The sandwich was alright, but I'd feel a whole lot better if the prices advertised on the giant menu outside were actually correct. Did not expect to pay an extra $10 for 1 sandwich on top of the already high-end price listed. Please update or take down that misleading menu.

I love the cozy yet elegant decor here. Every dish was spot on and layered with exquisite flavors as usual! This made for a perfect birthday celebration! Jasmine was a kind, friendly and professional server who made our time at Little Sister very enjoyable. Just a note: cake service is $3.00 per plate.

Vietnamese outpost that offers a weekday happy hour. Came here with a friend and made a reservation at 5pm. There's patio and indoor seating but note that the happy hour must either be at the bar or patio. Service is on the slow side but friendly enough. They do have heat lamps outside in case you get cold.

Little Sister is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worth it. Everything we tried was packed with flavor and executed really well. The spring rolls were my favorite, super fresh with a great balance of textures and flavor. The broken rice bowl was also a standout with perfectly cooked meat and a really satisfying portion. The ambiance is beautiful and makes the whole experience feel elevated without being too formal. It is a great spot to enjoy a good meal and a glass of wine. Overall a solid choice when you are in the mood to treat yourself.

I visited Little Sister with family on a Saturday night for dinner. I'll start with the positives. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice. I liked all the decorations and the music too. Even though it is pretty lively, there are very good acoustics so you can actually have a conversation without having to raise your voice. The parking, (since there are lots of other shops around,) was free and very easy. I ordered the broken bowl, which was tasty and a pretty good portion size. To me, the biggest issue was the service. We were a party of 5 and definitely slow to order, which was on us. However, we ended up being at the restaurant for over two and a half hours because it took so long for our food to come out. For example, we ordered the crispy fried prawns as an appetizer and were told it would take ~25 minutes. The prawns finally made an appearance at the end of the meal, over an hour after we had ordered them. The restaurant didn't charge us because it took so long, which was appreciated, but I would've simply preferred if the appetizer arrived at the beginning of the meal and not at the end. I will note that the waiters were very friendly and helpful. But it was a clearly a busy night and it seemed like our order just got lost in the whirlwind. My guess is that other tables ordered the same popular dishes as us and that our orders ended up going to them. I noticed a couple of other tables that were seated after us who got their food, ate, paid, and left all before our entrees arrived. Overall, this place is just OK. This is a hard one for me to recommend to others because I liked the crispy prawns and the broken bowl. The food was good and the restaurant was cute. Still, it was pricey and I didn't feel like the service we received justified that. So, maybe skip this place or visit on a less busy weeknight.

Food is delish sticky rice so good with a fried egg cilantro jalapeños sauce who knows but delicious. Imperial rolls one of my fav wrap the roll in lettuce add basil noodles cilantro jalapeños roll and dip is the amazing sauce. Yum tried the chili salted tofu bowl loved it came with black rice cilantro jalapeños eggplant okra peanut sauce and a side salad so refreshing. Great food friendly staff and place is clean. Good neighborhood. Recommend if in the area.

Food: 10/10 Flavor: 10/10 Ingredients: 10/10 Everything is amazing here! You can order multiple things from the menu and won't be disappointed. If you want something different from your typical "American" food, this is the place to eat at. Oh and don't forget to get the following: FRIES GARLIC NOODLES (THE BEST EVER) SHAKY SHAKY BEEF WARM ROLLS

Nice ambiance, but that's about it. Food was mediocre and bland. Service was worse. As a Latino party of 4, we were treated noticeably differently than the two Caucasian women seated next to us. Our server was friendly, attentive, and checked on them often, while we were ignored, given attitude, and had to flag her down just to order. We ended up getting drinks and appetizers only and left to go somewhere we actually felt welcomed. Didn't catch the server's name she never introduced herself, and I was too upset to check the receipt. The host, however, was much nicer. We even told her wish you were our server on the way out! She said of no was there a problem.... We didn't want to make a big deal and walked away while my father in law did tell her that server had a stick up her you know what... she quickly said yes I know, I'm so Sorry! So we know for a fact it wasn't the first time! Really disappointing experience. Do better, Little Sister.

The Baseline: For a Vietnamese cafe the Pho must be quality, the accompaniment add-in ingredients must be fresh, the meats must be well prepared, and menu must have authentic Vietnamese flavors Food: The food is high quality family style servings Vietnamese food that is great for small groups. For starters we had the Crispy Pork & Shrimp Spring Rolls and the sweet and spicy chicken wings which was a really great start of the meal. These are great starters that will not over fill you up if you are sharing. For entrees we had the Broken Bowl (which saves you on needing to order a side of rice and the chicken needs a little more lemon grass flavor), the Suon nuong grilled pork chop (a must have because the meat was really good and well flavored with Vietnamese spices), and the Bo Kho braised beef (more of a soup and a heavy star anises after taste which I have a personal dislike for). The drinks were really good and I liked the Hanoi Heatwave which was good on the spice level. Service: Good service with a staff that collaborates their duties together. They asked about allergies which was very nice due to a shell-fish allergy person at our table. Ambiance: The look and feel of the restaurant was awesome. The bathroom was clean. They have patio seating and an open window wall to let in the cool coastal air. A great location for a meal.

f you're looking for a fantastic night out or a solid first-date spot, this place is a winner. The vibe is relaxed, hip, and fun -- and the food is genuinely excellent. I always get the lemongrass beef and I'm obsessed. The smoke from the grill with the acid of the fish sauce, lime, chilies, and fried shallots is unreal. Every dish I've tried has been mouthwatering. Service is great, too. Prices are on the higher side but nothing that will knock the wind out of you. Totally worth it.

This restaurant was truly impressive - one of the leading Vietnamese dining places in my list. The cozy set-up and the plants around it provided a tranquil, relaxing and refreshing ambiance, perfect for hanging out. My friend and I only ordered two savory items and two desserts as we were not so hungry and only really needed a place to hang out at The Point--but every item we tasted was smack-dab delectable. The Crispy Shrimp and Pork Eggroll, Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings, Warm Pecan Tart and Chocolate Cake each has a special authentic taste that would leave you craving for more. The presentation is 5-star and truly worth its price point. Service was so so..the ladies could smile more, but we were still impressed and can't wait to come back.

I had a great dinner experience a couple of months ago when I went to Little sister. I have been a fan of Little Sister for years since it opened in Manhattan Beach, I've been to the DTLA location too. I'm so happy that this location is closer to my house. I had the most wonderful server! As a starter, I ordered the papaya salad and the chicken and shiitake dumplings. Heads up, they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. After almost filling up with the salad and dumplings, I ordered the sea bass to keep it light. It was delicious. To complete the experience, and after going in a food bonanza. I needed dessert therefore I decided to order the chocolate mouse! It was exquisite. Ambience was great, very vibrant.

Our server was very attentive, kind, patient, and accommodating. For example, when my sister in law asked if there was a kid's menu for her children, the server politely stated that they didn't have one. However, he immediately picked up on the fact that these kids were highly fussy and picky eaters, and offered up buttered noodles, something that was not on the menu. The kids ended up loving this. I, on the other hand, was disappointed with most of the food I had. If I had to rate the food, it would be 3 stars. I ordered the MB Post Burger, which comes with a 1/2 pound grilled patty, American Cheese, applewood bacon, and honey chipotle aioli, between English muffin buns. I added a sunny side up egg to it for an extra few bucks. The burger was messy, and difficult to eat. Ended up having to eat it with a fork and knife. I expected the egg to be a bit runny, but it was cooked all the way through. All in all, it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The crispy fries were not any better. To me, they tasted overly fried. The only thing I thought was exceptional was the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuit with the whipped honey butter. It was buttery and crispy goodness. This item alone is worth coming back to this restaurant. Overall, this place is a solid 4 star restaurant. If you're planning on visiting this place, I have to warn you that parking may be a real pain to find since the area is very popular with beach goers. Things were exacerbated over the weekend due to a volleyball tournament. Had to drive around for like 30 minutes to find parking.

I ordered the Best Avocado Toast, and while it wasn't bad, it's hard to justify the price. At the end of the day, it's avocado on toast, and I've honestly had more flavorful versions elsewhere for less money. The smoked salmon toast was also underwhelming. The salmon surprisingly lacked much of that smoky flavor, and the bread felt thicker than the toppings themselves, making the balance a little off. The shrimp Tom Yum soup was probably my biggest disappointment. At $14, I expected something with bold, authentic flavors. Instead, it tasted fairly basic. It had the citrusy notes you'd expect, but it was sweeter than I prefer, likely because of the amount of cherry tomatoes used. The service is where things became frustrating. We waited around 20 minutes before our order was taken, then roughly another 30 minutes before food started coming out. What made it more frustrating was that everything arrived at completely different times. The matcha latte came first, then the Tom Yum soup, and it was another 20 minutes before the rest of the entrées arrived. We ended up waiting so everyone could eat together instead of one person eating while everyone else watched. Normally I don't mind waiting if a restaurant is busy, but based on many of the Yelp reviews, this doesn't seem like a one-time occurrence. A common theme is that there's only one server running the dining room. Our waitress was friendly and polite, but she was clearly overwhelmed, juggling six or more tables by herself. I don't blame her--I blame the staffing. At one point I even watched someone wait over 30 minutes for two specialty drinks because the server was busy with other tables. That really summed up the experience. If the food had completely blown me away, I could overlook the long wait. Unfortunately, the flavors were simply average, so the overall experience didn't justify the prices or the time spent waiting. Would I come back? Probably not. I'm glad I gave it a try because it's a nice-looking café, but with average food, premium prices, and consistently slow service, there just wasn't enough to make me want to return.
