I have to say that was probably the worst breakfast burrito I've ever had. It was very bland, the beans and sauces did not go well with it. I don't think there was any cheese in it it also did not come with a side. For $10 for a bland burrito that is way overpriced. The eggs benedict was pretty sub par if I'm comparing them to other places around town. Not much sauce and the biscuits they were on didn't have much flavor and were dry. The only thing saving this from a 1 star review is that the service was very good and friendly. It's also a neat and clean atmosphere but the food was way below par especially when it costs $35 for two people. Might as well chalk this up as another overpriced Bozeman restaurant with small portions that has a hipster atmosphere. read more

Terrible service. Server never even looked me in the eye. Brought us water with something floating in it (not really a big deal, but was not offered an apology even) never came to check on us after food was delivered (by someone who was working in the back...prep cook maybe? She was lovely, smiled, and seemed friendly enough) no salt or pepper on the table, which I would have liked as the dish was a bit bland. Never got a refill on my coffee. For such a new restaurant, they really know what they're doing here! The waitress was friendly and made our lunch memorable. However, what really gets me is the food. It's more of the modern hipster-esque fare, but without the hefty price tag! Delicious and clean flavors every time we come. Today I had the sourdough pancakes, and I don't often say this about food, but I almost cried they were so good. The edges were perfectly crispy, but the taste? Wish I had checked the menu before I went. Nothing I really wanted to eat. The place is really noisy. Staff did a good job. Had the breakfast sandwich with sausage. Sausage was ok, nothing special. The egg was fine. The bread was a heavy dense bread that was different but ok. Mustard greens aren't what I'd call breakfast fare. Coffee was ok but nothing special. The real rub with this place is the price. The person I went with had the vegetarian breakfast burrito (it's not offered with meat) and coffee. With tip our bill was over $40 for a sandwich, burrito and coffee? I won't be back. Same breakfast at most other places would be half what this costs. read more

We are visiting from Boston and went here today. It was truly finding a little gem. The waitress was wonderful. It was a Sunday morning. It was busy but manageable. The food was outstanding. We split the cornbread muffin. Not to be missed. Hard to describe but delicious. I had the poached eggs and mushroom toast. It was really good. The falafel was well done and fresh. Dessert was rhubarb fruit pie with buttermilk ice cream. Pie was not overly sweet while ice cream could have used more sugar. Everything was delicious, unique, and serving sizes were just right! Absolutely charming establishment with incredible food and stellar service. Arrived famished from Missoula and the staff made sure our party of 20 was well taken care of. The grilled chanterelle mushrooms with frisee, hazelnuts and delicata squash and the gnocchi with caramelized cauliflower, brown butter and sage were both killer! While in Bozeman last week we ate out twice. Little Star's entire staff was fully masked the whole time and did a masterful job making us feel safe and normal. Their consideration for their customers was also evident in the quality and freshness of their food. Every single thing we tried was incredible, as was the friendly service, hip location, and the modern ambiance. Even the price is super reasonable for such a wonderful place. Came in for a quick coffee and breakfast and I am really impressed! The drip coffee was superb and the servers were very attentive with refills. We ordered the biscuit sandwich, eggs benedict and grains bowl. The biscuit had great lamination and the fried roots on the side were delicious. 1 star service, three .5 star food. The waitstaff was the least professional I have experienced in Bozeman. The Restaraunt was not full, and it took 45 minutes for our 4 coffees to arrive. Our order was not taken for 15 minutes, nor were drinks beyond water offered in this time. We arrived on a Sunday, around 11:00 am. We ordered at 11:15 and did not receive a single dish until 12:17. In this time span, our table was asked 7 times by a few servers if the food in their possession was ours, it was not in a single instance. I would highly recommend a seating map or table numbers to accommodate an extremely inexperienced waitstaff. The over easy eggs were average, albeit very hard to screw that one up. The sourdough toast was excellent, as well as the cornbread muffins, with excellent plating. The value was significantly less than your average diner, although the latte and cappuccinos were far better than traditional diner coffee. It's clear that you pay for the modern atmosphere and drink options non-standard to diners, not portion size or value. Our "breakfast" experience turned into a nearly two hour brunch, this isn't the spot for a quick bite. Consider training the waitstaff and adding an experienced host or hostess. read more

Best brunch ever! This place is such a breath of fresh air for Bozeman. Simple but interesting menu and there's something for everyone. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can see the chefs do their magic. It's amazing how they work and this place is always slammed for a reason. Flavorless garbage. The place looks great but that's all it's got going for it. Who wants to see the chefs prepare the food knowing it will have zero flavor. This place is a colossal disappointment. I ordered the Benedict and it was easily the worst I've ever had. Not enough hollandaise and the biscuit was so dry. My lady ordered the burrito and it couldn't have had any less flavor. Five stars plus! Everything you need or want in a beautiful setting of hand carved tables, chairs and serving plates. Quality local, organic meat, and flavors galore! Shared the cucumber, basil and snow pea salad on a very hot day paired with a basil lime aid -was out of this world! The basil lime aid went perfectly with all of our dishes and added a flair. Complemented the sage butter with the handmade tender gnocchi, soothes some of the spice from the tamale sauce and perfectly paired with the bison kabobs. All three dishes were fantastic! Because all of our selections were amazing, we had to see what they could do with dessert. Family members had previously recommended the olive oil cake with anise cream (recommended by a patron who leaned over to tell them that cake had just changed his life!) We opted for the cherry flan with vanilla bean creme fraiche served on a hand carved wooden plate. Wow! Looking forward to trying lunch and brunch! read more
