When the family and I didn't feel like waiting forever at J & M, we Yelped this place and thought we'd give it a try. As you can see from the pictures others have uploaded, it's a true diner, with the old-fashioned diner car and all. Inside, Lloyd's is a bit cramped (as you might expect), but that doesn't take away from the character of the place or detract from the good food. Even though we walked in around 11:45am on a Sunday (when the place closes at noon), the waitstaff treated us kindly and didn't seem to mind at all that we were just sneaking in before closing time. The menu is your basic diner fare - everything you'd expect but nothing more than that. I had the scrambled eggs and salsa special (minus the baked beans), and it was really good - an excellent way to spice up plain old scrambled eggs. They should make that meal a regular item on the menu! The home-fries were a bit mushy and the toast a bit soggy, but the salsa scrambled eggs combo is still worth checking out. One of the best parts of the meal was the giant pancake that one of us got. Unlike other diners' pancakes, this one was light and really fluffy. We all agreed (after we all had sampled it) that it was one of the best diner pancakes we've had! The one downside was that Lloyd's didn't have chocolate chips to make chocolate chip pancakes (here's to hoping they had just run out of chips, because what diner can't make chocolate chip pancakes?). Overall, I'd head back to Lloyd's if I'm in the area again. Just go in expecting the old-school diner atmosphere (accompanied by the limited-space interior) and you'll be happy you stopped in. read more

Very simple menu and big portions. There homefries are the best! Not too crispy and you get some big pieces of potato. The coffee is delicous! Atmosphere is just the way a small diner should be. Waitress was super friendly. read more

We drive by often and the kids have always been curious so checked it out last week with the 5 year old. Food was good, coffee was strong, portions were huge, place was clean, love that it's family owned. The owner's daughter waited on us and could not have been nicer to everyone. She was the only waitress there I think and without complaint, worked her you know what off, kept everybody's orders straight and arriving hot, and even took the time to bring us a fun kid toy, which ended up being such a surprise. The booths in front are authentic and tiny. The memorabia is a welcome touch. Basically this is a diner trying to be a...diner. Good food, fair prices, service with a smile. In the 'ham where we're innundated with soul sucking chain restaurants, We loved every minute of our visit here. read more

I like Lloyd's. I like it a lot. You can like Lloyd's for the Lloyd's (it's run by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd). You can like Lloyd's because it is a well restored diner. You can like Lloyd's because you will never be served such a ridiculously large breakfast anywhere else on earth (seriously, sit at the counter and count the eggs used). You can like Lloyds because you respect the value and work ethic that will experience from a family run and staffed restaurant. If you want avocado toast, soy lattes, anything infused or fat free, this probably not the place (They do have artificial sweetener packets for your coffee and may have skimmed milk, so I am exaggerating a bit). Prepare to take some of your meal home. Unless your child is in town for a Sumo wrestling tournament, prepare to eat almost all of their food. I used to live closer and eat more breakfasts there. The added distance will probably add six years to my life. read more

I hail from Philadelphia, the land of diners with amazing breakfast. After moving to the area, and not finding a breakfast place we love, finding this gem was MUCH overdue. We stopped in on a Saturday probably around 8:30am, it was busy, but not overwhelmingly busy. Service was quick, friendly, and the food was awesome! We got an omelet (bacon, cheese, onion), and a breakfast combo with eggs, assorted breakfast meats and toast, for under $20. Much better price and food than the big diner by the train station ;) We loved everything and will most definitely be back very soon! read more

I went to IHOP for breakfast. They had a wait line about an hour or more. So I googled " breakfast near me ". Lloyds Diner a few miles away. So I checked it out. Oh my God. What an awesome find. I dont know why Lloyds isnt turning people away. Friendly and fast service is an understatement. A very comfortable atmosphere. I will be going to Lloyds now on. Great food, too much to leave hungry. And cost, easily saved $20 of what i would of spent at IHOP. read more

This is a "seat yourself" style establishment which apparently means you have to bludgeon a waitress to get a table. Have a kid with you and it's busy? Not worth their time. Looking for a table but not finding any? Obviously looking lost? Nope, better luck next time. Feel free to ask and you will get lip about how busy they are. I don't mean apologies I mean actual angry retorts, NOT a way to treat customers. I prefer local establishments for the kindness, comfort, and service. I encountered none of these here. For most of 2010 this place was under new management and had sort of a half Brazilian half diner type menu. The service and food both suffered. About two months ago I noticed the old management had returned. Since then I have been back a few times and I am happy report it is back to the way it once was with a few updates inside as well. Still great prices and huge helpings with fast friendly service. My only gripe here is that they are still cash only. If everything wasn't so cheap this would be a much bigger deal for me. read more

Had time to kill after getting my son to a morning hockey game at the nearby rink. The friendly waitress took my order as soon as I sat down. Ordered the standard 2 scrambled, home fries, sausage, toast, and watched the cook scramble and cook the eggs on the flattop loaded with piles of home fries, hash, sausage and bacon. Did not expect 3 good sized sausages and 4 eggs and a half pound of home fries. I would go back for s sure. read more

Since most breakfast spots are the same, I judge them on the coffee, service, and corned beef hash. All are great. The portions are huge so u can make two meals out if. Only open on weekends and can get pretty tight if its busy. read more

Why haven't I come here before? Came here in November 2014. Good food, good service. They gave me more bacon on my plate than I have ever received at a breakfast joint. Ever. It was crunchy and perfect. The pancakes were delicious and so was the french toast. Although I rarely eat out for breakfast, I must return at some point. read more

I stopped here recently while in the area. It looked like my kind of place. It is. The breakfast was very large, three fresh eggs made to order, sausage the size of my forearm, bacon, toast and enough hash browns to feed a small village in Chad. All for $6.95. Coffee, of course, made the check come out to a bit more. A great price for a large, very good meal in a fun little dining car. I am not sure of their hours and they are not posted on the door (contrary to one of the photos below), so call ahead. read more

Super great breakfast with super heapings for a very low price. My family loves this place. Average dish is about $5-$7 and you always get much more than the description says... I.e. 3 strips of bacon really means 7+ They have the best Belgian waffles. read more

This place is only open on the weekends, it's family operated and if you sit in the front of the place you can watch them cook you up the best and biggest breakfast your money can by! You can eat here for breakfast and not have to eat again all day! And their prices are great. It's a must try! read more

Went in recently after hearing good things. I loved Lloyds years ago but always thaught it was a bit too greasy. First of all, the new owner has taken over and is pleasently run by a father and daughter. Ordered a ham and cheese omelette which was big cheesy and full of chunks of ham in every bite. The side of home fries were awsome - crunchy and tasty not too mention a big whopping amount of them which I ate every last bite. Great service and even the decor has improved a bit....after all it is a diner. Overall, one of the best breakfasts in Framingham. Saving the final star to try other menu items that looked good like the corned beef hash and the big sausages. Cannot wait to go back. read more

Great eating experience. So glad that they have changed their hours and are open EARLY and LATE. Breakfast was delish, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great food at affordable prices and the atmosphere is historic. Seating in the front is small and close but the back room is bright and sunny with additional seating plus 2 big screen TVs. read more

Rich I went into Lloyd's diner this morning 11/6/16 for breakfast. I ordered eggs over easy with corned beef hash. I asked for the hash grilled well done. When I was served, the hash came out like mush, like it was pulled right out of a steam table. Did not even look like it was put on the grill. When I asked again to have it grill, the owner came out to the table saying he grilled it for 20 minutes even thoe I was only in the diner for 5 minutes and started to argue with me telling me breakfast is not that important. He said a few years ago his sister had cancer and that was more important. When I told him that I was also a cancer survivor, he said "good for you" and then asked me not to come there anymore if I don't like the way he makes my breakfast. I would not recommend this place to anyone. That was the most selfish and unprofessional way anyone could ever treat a customer. Have worked in the restaurant business since I was 13 and then becoming a chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute..... I have always prepared food to the customer asking and never once told anyone to eat anything the way I felt like serving it. This owner does not belong in the service business with that type of attitude. yet the waitstaff are sweethearts but because of the owner I would never go there again read more
