Our group of 14 received excellent service. All of the meals came out at the same time and everyone enjoyed their choices. No problem getting separate checks, and they don't tack on an automatic gratuity for large groups.

It's hard to know how to rate Llywelyn's Pub in Webster because I love it as a bar. I recently held a happy hour with former colleagues there and the service was amazing (Melinda or Melissa, I am not sure but seriously an amazing waiter!). But my recent meal there wasn't that great. So that gets a bit taken off. I contacted them about an annual get together we missed last year and found a new requirement to email the office. That threw me but everything was handled easily and quickly! The reservation process was awesome. We have gathered here several times and love that we can get dedicated space reserved, everyone loves the drinks, atmosphere etc. My only regret, I ordered the shepherd's pie and it just wasn't to my liking. May be popular with others but I am used to something with a different depth of flavors. The fried pickles, mac n cheese bites etc all seemed to get rave reviews though.

Coming in with younger ages, I was a little apprehensive when we walked in on a busy Saturday night. The bar side was active and there was a lot of bar noise, but once we sat on the table side, we barely noticed. Service was great, she was crazy busy but found time for unprompted refills, which is a pro move. Food was good. I had a dense Reuben that reheated well later.

The food is terrible! every time I've come here. The beer is decent yet outdated. Service is just okay. Skip it.

Went in late & the bartender was more than accommodating. I had never been to this place- honestly…read moredidnt even know it was in the hotel. Its a dark cabiny vibe. The drinks are stroooooong & delicious. We walked around the hotel after & were amused with the decor. Check it out. Perfect place for a drink to catch up w friends.

Just because it wasn't what I was looking for, I can't punish the store, and I think I'm not…read more.. But I'm going to admit with "Fox and Hounds", the problem was my expectations. British Bar INSIDE a "British designed hotel", so I had my hopes probably heightened more that it should have with my previous British bar results. I went in thinking British craziness and got a "Edgar Allen Poe" feel... But I'm going to say this was NOT what I was expecting. First and foremost, your eyes are going to need adjusting. Plain and simple, it felt more like a dark ... room? (Part of the problem I think is that as it was already June, you can forget using the fireplace to lighten the room up) so it felt.. "Small", and I"m going to feel weird saying this... "Romantic Horrorfest". Wait, before you go "wha??", this isnt' necessarily a bad thing. The Taxidermy , the photos on the wall. the fireplace. the VERY (and I mean VERY) dim lighting... The limited seating on the main floor, the one door in and out it had a "wooden cabin feel".. Yes, if you had a wonderful romantic film and it was suddenly invaded by some monster villain... This where it would take place and it would be perfect. (See I can find positive things to say about things i wasn't looking for) As for the service, apparently (going back to the Romantic filmfest), I was struggling to get any attention for the bartendress, cause I guess I was solo'ing by myself, and because of how I wasn't able to get the bartendress attention... I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk". And Apologies for some of the iffy pictures, it just didn't feel right using a flash on the camera in such a secluded locale) and like I said, it wasnt' what I was expecting (rowdy British fans watching the local club or something), but there's something about it that even i have to admit, would make this location a nice "date night" or "out with friends' location, more so than just a single person looking for a nightcap. (And Maybe there really is a monster hiding in the fireplace, to keep the "Horror" feel going?? :)

We were greeted and seated right away, the girl that sat us ended up as our waitress, too. She was super friendly and answered questions with a smile. I ordered a salad and chili both with no cheese. Got a boneless chicken appetizer with their sauce, the were ok, the sauce was good and the ranch was good. Salad was good, I ordered the ranch and the Italian and they Italian was good, too. The chili had a good flavor; it was a little thick but good. Service was good and quick, it was a bar like atmosphere, I would go back just based on good salad dressing!

PJs is a Kirkwood hangout and has been around as long as I can remember. Good place to go for a tavern experience, and we are all Kirkwood people so we went there for that reason. Our server was very attentive. Some folks ordered lunch which looked pretty good. The dinner salads were huge... easily enough for 2! The potatoes skins were tasty (I broke down and had one though I wasn't hungry (we met at 2 and I had a late large breakfast) but the sandwiches looked good. Probably a good bar food place (burgers, etc) but definately a good watering hole! Located in old downtown Kirkwood by the train station. They also have a nice patio and outdoor sidewalk seating. This particular day I came with my mom and we sat in the back room, where they gave their biggest tv. It was football Sunday, so it's a good spot to post up and watch. The manager ended up having to take our order because they were short staffed. We appreciated her transparency for the wait, she was super kind. I ordered a deluxe pizza and my mom ordered the wings. The pizza is good, stl style. The crust is basic but the toppings were good and plentiful! Parking can be tough since it's in downtown Kirkwood, but there is a large lot next door with lots of spaces.
