I decided to try Relaxx with a coupon that was a good deal. I liked their mission and thought it would be great to give it a shot. My first visit went well but I didn't use up my entire coupon value...which was supposed to be fine to use over multiple visits. I asked the person at the counter how that would work and they set up my account to have the balance of the money as a credit. They did that all the time. I asked the counter person if I had to use it by a certain time and they said 'no as long as the first visit was before the promotion expiration date'. Perfect...until I went to use it. My second visit, I brought in 9 garments to use up what was supposed to be a $35+ balance. They confirmed that there was a credit on my account when I dropped off but could not confirm the amount. What could go wrong? I went to pick up the clothes (some of which were business attire being donated to a non-profit for women getting into the workforce) and they had a bill for $47 waiting for me. They reduced my credit to $10 because it was after the promotion date. When I told the management about my conversation with their employee he said 'oh well, that's not right'. I left frustrated because they never apologized or offered any type of discount for their misstatment of the rules. When I got home, I found two of the garments that had well pressed stains on them. When i moved into our apartment in La Mesa in june of 2009, we were informed that Relaxx offered pick up and drop off services at our door. While this alone was enough of a hook to have me interested, i continued to use them over the course of 2 years because of the quality of their work and their competitive prices. Not once was i disappointed, and after moving to Escondido, that is one of the things i miss the most from living there. Give them a try, their service is world class! read more

I'd love to give them a 5 star rating, but I think their website needs a little user interface assistance. If they fix it, I'll add my 5th star. The other 4 stars are for the ease of the whole thing. I just leave my clothes in my handy-dandy bag at my door and they come get it and then, a couple days later, drop off all my clothes according to my personalized specs that I entered on their website. I don't have to worry about anything (so far at least) and that means a ton to me. The prices seem to be pretty comparable and it's automatically charged to my card. Also a plus. read more

We have a twice-weekly pickup in our office and it's great. They dry clean, repair, whatever you need. They did a terrific job repairing a ripped seam in a sweater and my shirts never have cracked and shattered buttons, which seems unavoidable everywhere else. Given our office location, I've noticed this is the same service the Lodge at Torrey Pines uses--I see the van leaving there early most days, so I think the quality and reliability is very high if it meets their standards as well. Our driver is very low-key and doesn't interrupt the workflow at all. My credit card is automatically billed and when I needed to change out my number customer service called me back on a Saturday afternoon. (You can update online, I later realized, but the phone call never involved them pushing me to the online--very nice about handling it over the phone.) The prices are the same as local dry cleaners (Del Mar, UTC) and the billing is always accurate. I highly recommend setting up for your office. Everyone can have their own account, costs the company nothing and makes people's lives a little easier. They will put you on a route even if you are the only customer in the office. There's no downside at all, unless you feel hooked on your Saturday errand-running! read more

Relaxx has definitely made our lives easier! They pick up my husband's shirts from his office, eliminating the need for extra trips. If he needs something mended, he just leaves a note on his bag and the repairs are made. I am also very pleased that Relaxx utilizes earth-friendly cleaning methods and have been very happy to see that they are phasing out the use of wire hangars in favor of those that can be recycled. First, I only went here because it was open on Sunday. When I showed them the 30% off yelp coupon the said they don't honor it and yelp does it. I suggested that this may not be the best thing to do to retain customers. She said the owner knows the coupon is on yelp but refuses to honor it. In addition, they charge an additional 30% if you want your stuff back before 3 days. Won't be going back Now looking back on reviews this 30% coupon issue seems to have been happening for a while and looks like info given to customers about this has been inconsistent. Relaxx does pick-up and drop-off for my place of business and I can honestly say I'm very impressed with their service, delivery, consistency, and their easy payment system online. Our residents depend (and quite frankly, expect) reliable service week in and week out when it comes to their dry cleaning. Towel service at our pool wouldn't be the same but from a personal standpoint I haven't even had a single button come off and my items come back in top-notch shape. Pricing is fair especially considering the high cost of pick-up/drop-off services....pizza places cost me more than Relaxx! read more

These guys are great! I leave my clothes that need to be cleaned here in my office in the nice bag they provide me, they come get them, the bring them back just a few days later. It's cheaper than the place I used to walk my clothes to down the street. The people that pick up my clothes are all very polite and professional. I"m not sure I could ask for more. read more

I can never make it to the dry cleaner after work, nor do I really want to go after work. Having my dry cleaning delivered right to my office and charged to my credit card has proved to be something that I can never give up now. I'm actually quite surprised that their overall rating isn't higher. I'd give a 4.5 stars. They are infinitely better than San Diego Vallet and are generally very good. The .5 star deduct is because my dress shirts come back a bit stiff. I request no starch so that wouldn't be the reason. The shirts about a year ago came back much softer. Maybe they no longer use fabric softener. Otherwise, they are as good as any dry cleaner you can ask for. Jim read more

The building I live in uses these guys for their valet dry cleaning services and while it is convenient, I can't say it's the best dry cleaning job I've ever seen. My clothes came back with a distinct smell and the prices are a bit higher than one would expect. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I'm from FL and it's a different market out there. Best dry cleaner in San Diego, but that's not saying much. They do a quality job 80% of the time. I wish they paid more attention to buttons. I can't even count the number of times they have broken buttons and not fixed them. They also don't replace the shirt collar corners when they lose them which is something I've been used to at former cleaners. Overall I wouldn't use any other cleaner in San Diego. read more

I will never use Relaxx cleaners again they destroyed 3 of my Hugo Boss Shirts did nothing to compensate me and denied any wrong doing. They said I caused the damage and the stains were there when I dropped off the shirts. They said they checked their security cameras and can say unequivocally they didn't stain or ruin my shirts. I said I don't have any security cam video of my daily activities but I know I didn't stain three shirts simultaneously all with the same substance and I would have seen/known of the extensive damage if I caused it. They refused to compensate me in any way. I asked for store credit for half the value of the shirts they refused. They also didn't give me all of my order at the time of discovering the stains so I was forced to return to get 4 pieces from that order. In that order I asked to get a pant leg re-hemmed and paid for it. I went to put the paints on today and they never did the work they charged me for. Bottom line terrible customer service, they don't care about their retail customers and if you stuff comes back damaged don't expect any form of compensation or compromise. read more

Looking at the other reviews I guess it would have been better if I had them pick up my cleaning, but I live close by and decided to drop it off instead. It was like they didn't know what to do. I was immediately asked "why didn't we pick this up"? I told them that I was close by and wanted to save them gas. What a mistake! They ended up breaking several buttons (1 button on 3 different shirts) and the customer service was nonexistent! Refused to believe that they broke them and were not interested in hearing from me. I will NEVER go back. There are plenty of cleaners out there that deliver AND have cheaper prices. Do yourself a favor and shop around! read more

TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. After many months of being a loyal customer, I had a similar experience as Angela H. New clothing which had never been cleaned (or washed) was returned with large stain and no resolution. They even charged me for the botched dry cleaning and seemed surprised that I wasn't thrilled that they tried twice to remove their stain but didn't. No offer to replace or otherwise compensate me for their mistake. Is this the way a quality company acts? Are small businesses so financially strapped that they cannot or will not make things right?
