I loved walking into this store. The decor felt nostalgic and warm, the staff was friendly and helpful, the ice cream was cold and sweet. Nothing like an ice cream cone in a cold night. I do not think I have been to a Loard's before but I have had Loard's ice cream elsewhere. This was a cool find while in Livermore. I got myself an ube and that was delicious. Texture is nice and creamy. Overall highly recommend for a nice ice cream cone while walking around downtown Livermore!

During one of our neighborhood walks after dinner, we've been passing by this place and decided to give this place a try and the owner/employees are so friendly and nice! There seems to be a lot of regulars. They have a large variety of ice cream flavors, sundaes and even boba! The ambiance is really cute and like a throwback to the old-timey ice cream parlors. Ice cream was SUPER good. They microwaved and warmed up the brownie before placing the ice cream on top and warmed caramel drizzle as well! Will definitely be going back for some more. This place is a hidden gem!

Loard's is a retro, throwback ice cream shop. The chairs are straight out of Mary Poppins. The sundaes never disappoint! They give you generous servings with generous toppings. You order at the counter and they bring your plates to your table. It's a fun throwback! You can buy candy as well as boba there now too. It's a great place to stop in. You can also purchase packaged ice cream to go!

Yum!!! The Livermore Loard's location has been around for a while now and we love visiting when we're in a "sundae mood". The ice cream parlor is decorated cute and feels like you're transported into an old school dinner. The service is always awesome, and the ladies who run the shop are always kind. They have a lot of different ice cream flavors, toppings, and sundae options for you to choose from. Most recently my husband got the brownie sundae and I got the banana sundae. Both were fantastic! Highly recommend visiting!

The best ice cream. We usually get a black & white and my wife gets a black & tan .Friendly staff. Old town feel. It takes you back in time to when Livermore was as a small town. It's been around since 1950. One of the original locations. Love this establishment so much I even picked up a cool Lourde's ice cream shirt. I went to the original shop in Oakland as a kid. This place is special. Hi

What I remember most about this place is the cute, pink diner-like restaurant setting. I was visiting a friend in Livermore and she recommended that we come here for dessert. The food and service was alright. I would be down to come here again though for some ice cream on a warm day if I'm in the area !

This was our first time trying this spot out. We went with Sundays, which come in a long spoon and glass container topped with whipped cream and a cherry. You can build your own or get something that is already on the menu. I would suggest if you like ice cream to give it a try.

Classic vibe with pink and white booths. Many ice cream flavors options, also offers sundae, root beer float, chocolates, candies, drink and more. I tried green tea flavor ice cream but it's not very green tea, the waffle cone tastes good. Although there's no tasting and sitting time limit is 30 min, I would still support a local ice cream shop over a ice cream chain.

Loards is a Bay Area Classic! I love the vintage vibe of the place. Great ice cream & candy. Service is great, very friendly staff.

I was craving ice cream and opted for the chocolate ice cream. This was gooooood. The place does not have bathrooms for customers though. The ice cream was creamy but sometimes I'd get hints of ice in there. It wasn't as smooth as I'd want but the flavor was really good! They had a lot of cool options but hard to know since you can't really see how they look like.

Best ice cream ever - we always get the mango and ube, way better than Filipino ice cream brands.

I'm gonna be honest, I had their matcha from their OG store in Westwood when they were called Sip! I always thought their matcha was good, but I only got to enjoy it when I was going to school around there which was brief! Aside from now aging myself, I got the Guava Matcha from them and the employee recommended getting less sweet if I don't like overly sweet drinks. I have to say, it was perfect sweetness for me! The balance of matcha flavor and guava was 5/5. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm shopping in the area. It was satisfying and makes me crave their matcha!

The staff was welcoming every time I opened the door. They were kind enough to tell me which seasonal drinks I could adjust to oat milk, and the rest you can adjust the sweetness and add toppings for an extra charge. I tried their Snoopy Chocolate Hazelnut Matcha Latte with oat milk, less sweetness, and less ice. There was a strong Nutella flavor with good consistency, but the matcha wasn't strong enough for me when I didn't mix it. I even got myself a Snoopy matcha plush keychain as my birthday gift for $18, which is pricey but durable enough to hang on your bag. It's a pretty small shop, yet it's covered in cute and colorful decor. Plus, the tables are clean since most customers usually wait for their drinks and leave rather than sit down.

It was a very hot Saturday and we decided to cool off with some ice cream from Loard's. I have always been a fan since my childhood, butter brickle and peppermint ice cream are my go-to. I had never visited this location before. Walking in, the ambiance wasn't giving me the warm fuzzies like the other well-lit Loard's locations did. It's pretty dim with only one window emitting any light from outside. It still has it's pink and white interior, but it doesn't scream "ice cream shop." One thing that stood out to me was the menu. It appeared they might've updated several of their prices with the edits marked all over it. It just looks tacky, but I understand that making a new sign can be costly. Hopefully in the near future this could be given a nice facelift. We ordered a scoop of ube, a scoop of toasted almond, and a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Unfortunately you couldn't eat indoors so we stood outside the shop and hurried to eat the ice cream before it melted. Would I come back here again? Maybe, but I prefer the Castro Valley location more as it just gives more of the feels of an actual ice cream shop and it's got a pleasant vibe to it.
