We got the live lobster special with DUCK, which was enough for my fiancé and I. We also requested for a side of rice since the entrees don't come with rice. The food was good. However, we were expecting the sauce of the live lobster to be better. It tasted like stir fry sauce that you would get from Panda Express, mixed in with the lobster. Since we were sitting by the AC, our food got cold and our rice got cold quick. The staff were really nice. But the one thing I would critique for the staff, is to not use the same gloves they're cleaning with, to put our food away. One of the lady's was cleaning off a table that had just finished dinner. We asked her for a to go box for our left overs and she insisted she put our food into the to go box, using the same gloves she used to clean the previous tables that had left. What's the point of gloves, if there is cross contamination? seems like the whole staff want to be safe, by using gloves, but it doesn't make sense to use dirty gloves on a clean table. My family and I always go here to celebrate birthdays for the elders in my family. Food and service has been quick and great. The servers are always quick and provide good service to me and my family. My favorite dish is the salt & pepper lobster! That is soooo good, literally can't get enough of that. Salted fish fried rice is also a great once and it tastes even better if you eat it with their braised abalone and black mushroom and stir fried Ong Choy. I'd recommend to come here for their seafood and fried vegetable dishes, the duck was okay felt dry and lacking flavor. This is my honest review on their black bean noodle, spicy seafood noodle soup and their sweet and sour pork which is all located on their menu cover!! We came here because DOWON was closed today as an alternative and let me tell you I was soooo disappointed. If you love noodles and noodle texture please NEVER order this here. Went here with family and friends for dinner and ordered 4 lobsters along with 8 other dishes and alcohol. After finishing the lobster I noticed that I didn't eat any lobster tail meat. It' was all chopped up on one plate so it was hard to tell at first if there was tail meat but after finishing I asked everyone if they had any tail meat and they said no. We talked to he manager or owner at that time and she accused us of lying about not getting any lobster tail. By this time they cleaned all the shells off the table so there was no evidence. She told us we should of told her before but didn't think I should have to see if they gave us all the pieces of the lobster before. Haven't been back since. No recourse was offered. Top-Five WORST restaurants I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Horrific smell upon entry. Filthy carpets, walls, chairs and windows. Entrance appallingly littered and burnt-out lights. A dumpster reeking just outside entrance. Wine glasses were so filthy they were opaque as were the fish tanks. The the first horror: the wine glasses we send back were hand washed at the bar with no soap...just re-rinsed and left to dry upside down on the bar. Aren't they supposed to dishwasher them at a particular wash temp? The food?...poor to mediocre but certainly not visually desirable. For the money (and for your health) take a wide pass on this dump! Oh, and when we went looking for their window "Pass" sticker it was nowhere to be found. After I think planning for 6 months to get here my lunch friends and I finally made it two Fridays ago...yay! And I was actually very pleasantly surprised! I had heard that it can get very crowded and waiting for a table can be long, but I got there like 5 minutes later than our planned meeting time and my friends were already seated and waiting for me! Tofu w/sauce (ono!)...and a lobster for each of us (1 steamed w/butter & 2 w/black bean sauce....soooo ono!) We didn't order a whole lot of food because we really wanted to focus on the lobster, so ordering one lobster each was a great idea because we definitely ate every succulent morsel of each one of our lobsters! Although, I think the portions of our other entrees were a little on the smaller side (not surprising!) Service wasn't bad, but we did have to send one of our lobster orders back because it came with the wrong sauce, but wasn't a biggy and they replaced it without complaints and as quickly as they could. If you're there to eat lobster, the on-going special is great. For every entree you order from the menu, you can order a lobster w/your choice of sauce for....$10.99! So, the bill came out to $65.00 for 3 of us, which seems kind of pricey, but when you think about it including 3 lobsters, that's really not bad at all! Would I go back again? Absolutely! Consider the business we were seated quite quickly in less than 15 min. Of course there were just the two of us. The table we had was next to another couple.. So close to one another it looked like we came in a group of four. The seats we had were very comfy I must say. Of course we had to get their special On the menu.."black bean lobster". There is a catch to it though. Yes it is sold at a low price but to one extent... You have to buy an entree. Ok, so we had the black bean lobster dish and this soup vegetable with noodles at the bottom ( seafood casserole) We thought their food was good... The lobster had hardly any meat to it's limbs. We barley had the tail. Overall, tasty. The soup vegetable with noodle dish was so Ono too! The noodles should have been on the side... By the time we got to it, it was soggy. By the way, free Kim Chee! You just gave you ask for it. And you have to ask for your water too. We were seat at the table and waited to order for a while without water! Very surprised of the low rating for Lobster King..... Maybe in the past Lobster King wasn't all that great..? But last night's dinner was delicious! And service was AMAZING (shocking, I know, for a Chinese restaurant). My family and some family friends dined here on a Thursday night at 6:00pm with a party of 9. Reservations were easily made on the same day, and parking was ample when we arrived at their lot. I've dined here many times before, but this is the first time I've returned in about a year. Walking in, the restaurant feels cleaner than before IMO, and we were quickly seated at a round table for 10. We knew that we wanted to do the live lobster special (1 lobster priced at $14.99 with 1 purchase of an entrée), so we ordered the dried scallop soup, XO sauce clams, cold ginger chicken, steamed fish filets, tofu in a basket, and sautéed lettuce. With those entrées we were able to also order 6 lobsters (2 with specialty sauce, 2 with ginger/green onion, and 2 with black bean sauce). Other than the standard cold ginger chicken we ordered (our fault, we wanted something healthy), everything else was exceptional. Standouts of the meal were the XO sauce clams and the tofu in a basket. Though a bit smaller in portion, the XO sauce clams were a hit! Each clam was plump, juicy, and smothered in savory XO sauce. Tofu in a basket is my go to dish at Chinese restaurants. It's basically steamed soft tofu covered in a delicious sauce consisting of dried scallop, choy sum, and shrimp. Now on to the lobsters...... These lobsters were SO FRESH. Info from my momma was that one of the restaurant owners ran a seafood stand in Chinatown, thus explaining his live lobster supply and his ability to offer these low prices at Lobster King. To my delight, each lobster was cooked perfectly. My favorite style would have to be the black bean sauce. This style had a little spice kick in it that I really enjoyed. Throughout the night, we had 2 young men as our servers. What stood out to me was that the servers offered refills on the kimchee (free for diners) and that they constantly checked on our teapot to ensure that we had enough hot water (this was done even if we didn't prop the teapot cover up to signify that we were out of water). To top everything off at the end of the meal when it was time to pay, idiot me did not check/notice that tip was included (they were great so I tipped 20%). One of our servers came back with the credit card slip and informed me that tip was already included in the bill, and he went on to scratch out the tip I wrote down. This was exceptional. The food does not disappoint,but beware...they automatically add on an 18% tip to your bill without mentioning this to you. We recently dined there, party of 10,to celebrate a birthday. When the bill came, I merely glanced at it,noting the total owed, because I like to tip in cash. Seeing an amount of $350+, I gave my credit card ,got the receipt back,and put in $65 CASH tip. Not until I got home and looked at the bill,wanting to see how much was charged for a glass of wine, did I then take notice that a tip of $53 was added. The waitress got a $118 tip from me!!! The chicken was dried up like jerky and the noodles were like styrofoam (deep fried and dried up hard inside and out), almost as if they used leftovers cooked the day before to make it. The roast Peking duck was, I kid you not, literally black on the outside and again dried up like leather. I know it's the pandemic and all, and times are tough all around, but if you're going to charge $23.00 for half a duck, at least make it edible. Lobster King is located on South King Street. It has a small parking lot but if full, there's street parking if you can find an open stall!! I was lucky enough to pull in and get a stall in their lot right away. Some friends and I walked in and were seated right away. It wasn't too busy then, but it really picked up while we were eating! This was my first time here so it took a little bit to decide what we wanted to try. Not sure if the staff was getting aggravated but they asked several times within 5 minutes if we were ready to order. We finally decided. We had to definitely try the $15 lobster with an entree purchase since this is what they are known for. We ordered some minute chicken with cake noodles, salt and pepper pork chops , fried rice and one lobster to share. Food was delicious!! The lobster was a bit on the small side but the house sauce that it's served in was very tasty! The salt and pepper pork chops was tasty but I didn't care for the garlic chips on top. Lobster King's food is at the same level as other Chinese restaurants, though they have a bigger selection of seafood on the menu. Food was satisfying, but nothing worth writing too much about. Why a one star?... I was really excited to try lobster king! Being almost 6 months pregnant, I was craving lobster! When we got there, there wasn't any lobster left! It was 4:30 on a sunday! How could "LOBSTER" king run out of lobster? We ordered the scallops with choy sum and another noodle dish. After I took one piece of my choy sum, I looked at it.. and saw... A GRUB. A GRUB!!!!!! If you don' know what that is, it looks like a huge maggot with lots of legs. or a little caterpillar!!! Did i mention I'm pregnant? We politely with shock told the waitress and she just took our dish and said she'll make us another one. After feeling a bit nauseous, we decided to leave instead. I didn't want to chance another grub in my food. The restaurant did not do anything for us after we expressed our concern. As for the review of the scallops and choy sum, I took a small bite of scallops and i was very disappointed. The scallops were not fresh, rubbery, and tasted like it had been frozen for awhile. My mom was determined to take me here the night of my birthday. My sister and Boy was with us on my second dinner of the night at midnight. I was drunk and knew it wasn't a good idea to eat so much but my mother did not care and she went nuts on the food...again. Between four of us, we ordered: 3 lobsters, 4 pieces of abalone ($7/piece), some veggie dish with a seafood, scallop soup, preserved egg and pork jook, honey walnut shrimp, one bowl of rice, and 3 beers. I'm sure I'm missing something else because our bill was a whopping $130 without tip!!!! I was passed out in the car by the time the bill came around so this was what Boy told me. Everything was pretty good as usual. The abalone was cooked in this garlic sauce and it was so good! It's definitely a splurge at $7 a piece. The honey walnut shrimp was average, I wouldn't recommend it. I think going late night is the best time to go. There's a young server there who is really on top of it. We never really had a problem with service. Overall, I do enjoy going to Lobster King. Food is good but just keep track of what you order since it gets awfully pricey. Before you see the 1-star rating and turn away, at least let me justify it. For starters, the food is actually quite good. The lobster was well prepared. The sauces it was prepared in were more than tasty (and actually, everything we ordered was pretty flavorful). If I were rating the food alone, it probably would have been somewhere around a 3.5 star. What dragged that all the way down to 1-star (and even less than that, if I could) are two things: the atmosphere and the service. Atmosphere. Okay, so I've never been to Asia, but the smell in this place is what you would expect one of these street markets in China or Hong Kong to smell like - you know, the ones you see on the travel channel... where raw fish, various meat and insect parts, and random unrecognizables are sprawled across a sidewalk market. It smells like what that looks like inside Lobster King, especially at the back of the restaurant near all the fish tanks. And speaking of insect parts, there were A LOT of dead flies on the floor and on the windowsill. If it's that bad in the "presentable" part of the restaurant, one can only imagine what it might look like in the kitchen. Service. I don't mind if food takes a while. If that's how long it takes to prepare, then so be it. But I do mind if every table around me - most of whom arrived after me - all get their food WAY before me. And the kicker - many of them ordered the same things we ordered, so it couldn't have been that the food takes that long. I don't know how they determine the order that food gets brought out, but you would think it has something to do with the order that the food gets ordered (hey - there's a damn thought!). Apparently, they have a different system here... and it's called: RANDOM! Random people got their food in 15 minutes; others in 30 minutes; ours was closer to an hour from the time we ordered. I've been to Lobster King both times and both of those times, the experience was subpar. The most recent time I went to Lobster King, was a horrible experience. You see, Lobster King tries to be a large Chinese seafood restaurant, yet it lacks in many things that make a Chinese seafood restaurant's food and service successful. We had a party of 20 people and took up the two large 10-person tables. First bad experience we had was off the bat. We had already selected our 8 course dishes 2 hours prior so they have a heads up, but when we got there and seated, they brought all the dishes out at the same time. That, my fellow Yelpers, will make any Chinese person roll their eyes. It's a huge "NO NO" in Chinese Seafood Restaurants. Presentation, flow, and quality of food is very important and by bringing all the food at once, it breaks all three of those qualities. The simple reasons are: 1. The food obviously was cooked ahead of time and left to sit. Cold food = bad food. 2. They obviously want us out as soon as possible. Anyhow, the food was bland which was expected because it was cold. We were seated near the tank too and the workers were fetching lobster out of the tank but didn't have any trays for the dripping lobsters. A few of us had it drip on our clothes while the workers went past us. The other visit wasn't extraordinary, food was subpar and it was just the two of us eating. read more

This place is way underrated. I've been here twice now and I really enjoy the food. It's my new go-to place for Chinese food especially when I'm craving lobster. I'm not sure if it's Korean-owned but they do offer some Korean-ish dishes too, and a lot of the workers are Korean. The menu has a large variety of choices, and everything I've ordered here was really good. Some of my favorites were salt and pepper shrimp and the lobster with house or special sauce. We also saw some tables next to us order full-on whole lobsters that were super fresh. The workers would bring out the whole lobsters and have the customers make sure they were happy with it, and then they'd even let the customers take pics with it before they chopped it up! We saw them bring out the lobsters later either cooked or sashimi style...super cool! The restaurant is not as bad/dirty as a typical Chinese restaurant such as in Chinatown, but the last time I was here there was a cockroach that was flying over a table of older women, and they spent about 5 minutes screaming and trying to shoo it away. It was pretty amusing watching them but I think if I was them I would've been grossed out and would've asked to leave, haha. What made the experience better though was that Daniel Dae Kim was literally sitting inches away at the table beside me. *gasp!* I'm a huge fan of his and I was totally star-struck, but I tried to keep it cool and let him and his wife have a quiet dinner without any interruptions from annoying fans, haha. He was actually dressed very casually and looked like any other customer in there, but just super good-looking, obviously! =P He seemed like he was a regular because the workers didn't seem phased at all by him, nor did anyone else in the restaurant. I, on the other hand, was trying hard to keep myself from smiling and looking over at him! A good thing about this place is the location, as it's super easy to find...it's on the corner of S King St and Keeaumoku. And there's usually enough free parking in the back, unlike Chinatown where you have to circle around or pay for parking in their structures. Okay, call me an idiot. But I just don't get what all the rave is about. My sister and I went there this afternoon for lunch. We arrived a few minutes before they opened at 11 o'clock and were let in promptly. But that is where all the good stuff came to a screeching halt. We waited 10 minutes before water and menus were even brought out. During this time I noticed a peculiarly funky smell in the restaurant. It reminded me of old clothes and fermenting rice kept in a broom closet on a hot summer day. Like I say funky is the word. Another 20 minutes go by and we are finally ready to order. THE FOOD: The menu has a wide variety of foods, mainly Chinese, but also some Korean. Perhaps it was just what we ordered but if all of their food tasted like that it would have been a gastronomic challenge of monumental proportions. The egg foo yung was dry and overdone with more white onions than bean sprouts, come to think of it I dont recall seeing any sprouts. The Mongolian beef, which is supposed to be hot and spicy, was served barely warm. I couldn't help but notice the irony. The stuffed oysters we're so so, though I couldn't quite tell what it was stuffed with. Notice bad but not something I would order again. Too bad too as I love oysters. The only halfway decent dish was the deep fried shrimp stuffed tofu. The tofu at least fresh and as tasty as tofu can be (which isnt saying much). But it was tough to find a little pieces of bay shrimp in the stuffing. And because we ordered an entree we got to get the lobster for $11.99. I do love my bottom feeding, carrion eating sea bugs! The waitress asked if we wanted butter or their spicy sauce. We opted for the spicy sauce until they told us it would be $3.50 more. Okay garlic butter will do. I suppose one's level of disappointment is directly proportionate to one's level of expectation. And I had such high expectations. I mean, how can you screw up steamed lobster, right? The dish was just wrong in so many ways. (Where do i begin?) There was no garlic in the butter. And real butter has a wonderful unctuousness that is almost sensual and has your arteries screaming in horror. The stuff they served was watery and tasteless and I suspected it was nothing more than melted margarine. Yuck! And now for the biggest yuck of all - the lobster itself. It was boiled, not steamed ( I can tell). And WAY overdone! Dry enough to parch a camel! Rubbery enough to make B.F. Goodrich proud! Tasteless enough to make a cardboard box seem like steak! If I were to close my eyes, I wouldn't be able to tell what it was I was eating. That is how bad it was and this is no exaggeration. What they did to this delectable creature was a gustatory abomination! FELONY! MORTAL SIN! THE SERVICE: oh dont even get me started! The service was worse than the food if you can believe that. I won't mention when the waitress snuck up behind me with her fly swatter and smacked a fly on the window shade right next to me. Damn near scared me half to death. And there was more but let's just say that all the other negative Yelp reviews of how bad the service is are absolutely accurate. SUMMARY: Like I say, I just don't get it. All the raves make me sound like some whining sniveling, malcontent, but after spending over $60 bucks I think I have a right to complain about the horrible service and even worse food. I've been here for 4 times and really enjoyed my food until my last visit. I went here for lunch the other day and ordered a roast duck and char siu rice plate. In the cabbage that they put under the meat there were 3 DEAD MAGGOTS. I promptly notified the wait staff. They took the plate away swiftly so I didn't a chance to take a pic of it on my phone. They comped me my plate but still charged me for my drink. This is my first review on Yelp, and I absolutely had to leave a horrible review for this place. We went here because it was the first "okay" looking place because Sidorak was so packed. When I first sat down here, I told my girlfriend that we should book it, but since we were so damn hungry already we decided to give it a try. I got the Sizzling Oyster plate, hoping it would be fresh or decent. It seemed like the oysters came from a can, and it tasted and reminded me of a rubber glove. My girlfriend got the tenderloin beef in some kind of sauce.. Let me tell you, it tasted more spongey then my 3rd grade rib sandwich. I don't even think that was beef at all.. We took a few bites and then booked it to go to the McDonalds down the street. Our waiter looked genuinely baffled why we left so soon, maybe it's because your food freaking stinks! They don't even give out free rice, it's a 1.49 for a SUPER tiny bowl of rice. The total came out to be 34, probably the of the worst spent money of my life. One word to describe this place...GROSS! I understand that this is a seafood restaurant...but not every seafood restaurant has to reek of raw fish! In addition to that, the restaurant proudly displays the dead ducks and chickens that hang on a wire...I mean come on! Being from out of town, a guest to the wonderful state of Hawaii, I wanted to satisfy my heart's desire for delicious seafood and a friend of mine suggested the Lobster King. I was surprised to see the amount patrons the Lobster King had at 8:30 pm on a Sunday night and I guess my surprise was written all over my face since a very friendly and fellow customer told me not to worry, "the Lobster King is just that good and no worry the line moves fast", and he added, "other businesses outside of Waikiki should be so lucky to have such good business." So, I took his words to heart and decided to stay, in which I am glad I did, the Lobster King experience is fantastic. And indeed, as the man predicted, I was seated shortly afterward. I did my homework and studied what the most popular dishes where on Yelp and decided to go with the favorites. So, of course I decided to order the garlic pork chops, pork green beans and I had to taste one of the lobster dishes, so I choose to go with the garlic lobster. All were fantastic and full of flavor and texture. The dishes were prepared gorgeously; a definite work of art. I absolutely enjoyed the garlic pork chops, they were so flavorful and out of this world. The garlic lobster was great too and the combination of garlic and spices really hit the spot. I liked Lobster King so much that I decided that I would return to celebrate my birthday there a couple days later. On my birthday, I decided to ask the waiter what he thought the best dishes were and I went with butter garlic lobster, Peking duck, lemon chicken, and some kind of fish that tasted like it was cooked in heaven and meant for a king (sorry, I can't remember the name of the dish). First, lets talk lobster, in which I got to say the Lobster King knows lobsters very well. In fact they have a variety of ways they can prepare it. My choice tonight was the butter garlic lobster, in which it was to die for... the lobster was succulent and every bite was full of explosive, mouth watering flavor, more so than the regular garlic lobster I had a couple nights before. I definitely recommend the butter garlic lobster. I had never had the Peking duck before, but decided I'd try it and I'm still dreaming about it. The Peking duck was outstanding and is one of my favorite dishes now. The lemon chicken was good, but this fish, I can't stop talking about the fish, it was a delight. It was recommended to me, I said, go ahead and bring it out and never got the name of the dish, but if I had to describe it; it had a teriyaki flavor sauce to it or something like it, also in color, but one thing I know for sure, it was absolutely fabulous. So, if you ever have a chance to go to the Lobster King; I would definitely recommend it. It's a great place for the family. I saw the manager bring out a live 10 or so pound lobster and the kids took pictures with it, some of the older kids got to hold it and take pictures. Service was ok for a always busy restaurant. We ordered the sizzling beef tenderloin, garlic shrimp fried rice, one lobster and a whole chicken, choy sum and vegetables. Turn offs. We were blamed that the fork was bent and twisted? There was a bug in one of the cups. It's a one time thing. There are better places to go. read more

My husband and I had the sizzling beef tenderloin, garlic fish filet, and hot and sour soup. All three were really good. I did not know that the garlic fish filet would be fried or I would not have ordered it, but I ended up liking it the best of all of the things that we ordered. The breading was done perfectly and there was plenty of fish rather than being too bready, and the large garlic flakes were the icing on the cake. We would have tried lobster had we not had on our Sunday best.....we plan on lobster on our next visit. After seeing what people around us had ordered, I would describe the place as primarily a Chinese restaurant. I will definitely be ordering more traditional Chinese entrees from here after realizing this. However, we did see one of the waitresses carrying out kimchee to a group of Koreans, and quickly got her attention so that we could have some as well (my husband and I are both Korean). The kimchee was okay, nothing to brag about.....but nice to be able to have with our lunch. Portion sizes were large, we brought most of it home and have enough for another meal or two. One of the main perks of this place is that they are open until 3 a.m......so it will be great for late night meals! read more

Lobster King, well the name says it all... and its a chinese restaurant. My friend always raved about this place because we both love seafood! So I finally make it out here and they have lots of free parking and they have awesome hours, they close at 3AM!!! So we get there at 10pm and the place is not empty there are still a few tables being waited on. Our goal was to get in and out fast because I had to pick my boyfriend up from work. We were nicely greeted by our waiter and gave us our water and hot tea. He left us alone for a while and came back and asked us if we had any questions... I asked what fish maw was... and without any hesitation he said, "Oh its fish intestines". And I quickly responded.. Oooohh.. I liked how he was so forward about it, he could have used a better word to describe it but hey I like his honesty! My friend and I ordered the basic we didn't want to get adventurous... especially if it was our first time. We ordered black pepper sizzling steak, minute chicken cake noodle and the walnut shrimp. I loved everything except for the sizzling steak which had too much of the black pepper. The shrimp walnut was lightly battered with tempura mixture and fried and drizzled with sweet walnut. The cake noodle was delicious crispy and generous portions of minute chicken. Overall I would go back here and bring my friends, its a good place for family style and the prices are great! I think the king has left this place and let the peasants run it because it flat-out sucks. Got a lobster which was extremely overcooked. It was cut up oddly and ended up being mostly something for the swine. I definitely will not be back. I really feel the king has abandoned this place and moved on to another kingdom. read more

When your lobster that's only $10.99 comes out in literally 2 minutes, you need to ask yourself the following question: Is this too good to be true?! I'll admit that I was three sheets under the wind and came here at one-in-the-morning and at that point, anything you put in front of me would've tasted good. But when you order cheapo lobster that comes out 15 minutes before a vegetable-only dish, you kinda gotta wonder. After having a case of the shizznits the next morning, I found out why... They pre-cook the lobster early in the day to have it sit under heat lamps the whole day, until they close the next morning...the next morning at 3am! Yes, I said it...the lobster I scoured down had been sitting out literally for over 12 hours!? YUM! I am mad for lobster and crab and I eat almost once inevery 2weeks. Even by looking at them I can tell their weight. Of course not exact pound but I know whether they are 1, 2, 3,4 lbs. My hubby and I eat usually 2lbs each. We knew we cant eat 3lbs each. So we ordered 4lbs lobster but when food came. It was only 2lbs. This Korean waitress even brought out a live lobster to the table for us to take pictures and we thought she brought only one of two lobsters but our dish was only served with one lobster of 2 lbs. They cheated us the weight of the lobster and I was very unhappy with their honesty. We basically paid $60 for one 2lbs lobster. Every time I drive by this place it always looks busy so I figured we would try it out. Boy was it a big mistake. 1. They seat our party of 12 at a table which was only meant for a table of 8. The waiter says that this is the biggest table that they have available. The seating so so cramp we have to stagger ourselves so everyone could fit. One person sits near to the table while the person next has to sit farther away. You would think that if you make a reservation for 12 they would save one of the bigger tables. 2. We had pre ordered our menu and after half and hour of waiting we asked our waiter when we would start getting some food. She said that she would put our order in now. Why pre order if it takes half an hour to even get your order put in. So it was an hour wait till we got our first course. 3. The food was average. I had better food with less of a wait. 4. All of the people in our party didn't get water since they told us they had run out of glasses and had to wash some more. 5. There was a half and hour break in between us getting our last two courses. We were about to tell them just to cancel the last two dishes since it was taking so long. Server's attitude weren't bad, and she didn't make us wait for long time BUT... She recommended lobster and noodle set menu, but it was little pricey so we ordered smaller lobster ONLY. What she brought seemed very big lobster, and she said she's going to bring noodle soon which we didn't order. We told we didn't order it, but she said we did. We refused and she soon put dishes away without apology. The worst thing happened during the payment. She tried to take receipt from us before writing tips, WHICH MEANS SHE TRIED TO WRITE BY HERSELF. The parking at Lobster King can be tight if you don't come early. The lobster special here is actually pretty good. The other entrées that I had are probably average for a Chinese restaurant. Service is okay nothing special. read more

Dunno y this place ain't getting good reviews?? Family & I had a great experience from start to end! I'm not a big fan of chinese restaurants & since this place is fairly new, the FAMBAM wanted to try it.. Being that we're asain n everything.. haha! Let's start with the parking!! HUGE LOT! You can enter the lot 3 ways. King St., Young St., & Keeaumoku St. That's pretty awesome!! The Restaurant is nice, big & clean. The food, we had 7 lobsters! 2 with specialty sauce, 2 ginger & green sauce, 2 black bean sauce, & 1 with salt & pepper. Kung Pao Chicken, Beef Chow Mein, Fried rice with chicken & fish, Clam in black bean sauce, Oysters, Deep fried stuffed tofu & Peking duck. All was pretty good. The service on this night was EXCELLENT. Everything we asked for we got with no1 being grumpy or giving us a hard time, the Manager came by to see how we were doing, she also changed our water bowl for cleaning our fingers.. Our water cups got refilled with out having to ask, They were really on their toes tonight! Great Job! read more
