We came one night, late.... We're the last table to leave. The live singer was great, service was busy but efficient and southern kind, food was very good....BUT, what set this apart was their handling of a problem. We left, got back to our hotel, my son realized he left his retainer in the table! Not in a bad l case, his clear retainer in a napkin! I called and nobody answered as they had been closed for a good hour, i called the next morning and got Michelle, who understood the cost aspect and was very concerned! Nobody remembered seeing it, it was not in lost and found. Our loss! Then she offered to check thru the dumpster? Are you kidding me???? She said it had to have been in one of the last two bags that went out! I tried to talk her out of it but she was persistent! She and Bartolo said a prayer and literally dug in! She called back a short while later and they had FOUND IT! she sanitized it, and wouldn't accept any money! I was floored! Fresh-made food with a homey experience. My walking taco was a nice taco salad, good sized with lots of toppings. My husband ordered the hot chicken sandwich and cream cheese corn. I've never had anything quite like that corn. It was similar to creamed corn but much richer and smoother with the cream cheese. Tasty. Our daughter enjoyed her kids grilled cheese. We spent the day at Wonderworks and popped over to Local Flavor for lunch because it was right across the street. Great choice! read more

This is one of my go-to restaurants in the area. I love the chicken salad sandwich, collard greens, and the jalapeño coins. I also love that they give you a bottle of the good ranch dressing when you ask for a side of ranch. It's much easier when you have multiple people using it. Service is typically pretty quick and always friendly. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Give it a shot. You'll love it. read more

By far, the best food in Branson! Home cooked Oklahoma meals. I got the chicken fried chicken with sweet cream corn, mashed potatoes, and a sweet tea. I've had chicken fried chicken in many places and this was the best I've ever had. Others in our group got the hamburger, which they said was excellent. Service was friendly and fast. My husband and I were exploring new restaurants while on a date without the kids, because we all know how tricky it can be satisfying a bigger group. From the time we walked in the door, we were greeted and treated like family. The owners, both husband and wife, were present, personable, and took the time to answer all of our questions and just partake in small talk as they were able. The environment was fun and inviting, the food was phenomenal and plenty of options to please a group, and again overall-it isn't everyday you leave a place feeling excited the next time you get to come back. May 30, 2024 and 4 of us came in for dinner. We were promptly greeted and given a choice of tables. Drink orders were quickly taken and shortly thereafter we placed our orders. The live music was really good. The fried pickle appetizer was a decent portion and tasted great. The onion ring order was plentiful also, but tasted more like onion strings. The shroom burger was delicious. The chicken fried chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had. It was flavorful, not overly salted, and tender enough that someone without teeth could easily enjoy it. The fries were nothing special. It appears the hand held device used for credit/charge payments bases the suggested tip on the total plus (including) the tax. There is a lot of parking available. Probably the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. Bread to meat ratio was perfect and the chicken salad had a slight sweetness to it. We started with fried green tomatoes...the breading was spot on and delicious. The potato swirls are an option with the meal, kinda like potato chips, and we liked them actually better than the fries, but both were delicious. My wife was pleased with her pork tenderloin sandwich also. Reasonably priced and excellent service, what more could you want. Also supporting a local restaurant over a chain restaurant. read more

Amazing ambiance & delicious food. Very comfortable, homey atmosphere, smelled like home-cooking from when you first walk in. We started our meal with the Buffalo Chips appetizer- curly fries topped with ground bison, a light creamy, cheesy sauce and jalepenos- we devoured it! I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken club sandwich (and 2 of my sons ordered the same)...we all agreed it was wonderful and the best food we'd had so far on our trip. Chicken was tender & juicy, batter was light, flaky & crispy, topped with ham and some sweet/salty sauce. Wonderful! We all enjoyed the acoustic guitar, many of which were classic hymns which my boys recognized from church and appreciated that they could be played in a restaurant and fit in perfectly with the ambience & atmosphere. Service was also top notch, friendly, relaxed and professional- not rushed at all, but not lagging either. We loved the food so much, we had to try dessert: my husband & I split the peanut butter pie- creamy, rich & drizzled with chocolate & caramel sauce. Just right! My boys got the chocolate cake and loved it too- it was a rich, dark chocolate flavor. All in all, a wonderful spot, we are so glad we tried it on a whim while on our family vacation in Branson.
