    Salmon Salad

My wife and I stopped into Locanda Wine Bar in Livermore for a relaxed late lunch/early dinner and had a wonderful time. We sat outdoors on a beautiful day--the atmosphere was lovely with great vibes, and we even caught some World Cup soccer on the large TV while we dined. It felt casual yet upscale, perfect for unwinding. We started with glasses of wine--my wife loved her Aperol Spritz, and I enjoyed a crisp Pinot Grigio. For our appetizer, we ordered the zucchini florets (fiori di zucca) stuffed with ricotta cheese and served in a marinara sauce. They were delicious and a fantastic way to begin the meal. For our mains, we both went with salads: the Salmon salad for me and the Caesar salad for her. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we wanted--light but satisfying. We enjoyed every bite of everything we ordered. The service was excellent and attentive, which really elevated the experience. Big thanks to the team for making us feel welcome and taking such good care of us.We'll definitely be back to Locanda Wine Bar. Highly recommend for a nice date lunch, happy hour, or casual dinner with good wine and Italian-inspired plates in a charming downtown Livermore setting.

We came here on a Sunday for lunch. Upon arriving around noon, the patio seating was really open and the place was mostly empty even though it was a really nice day out. We were here with multiple family members so appreciated being able to get seated quickly. The space was fun for my nephew to walk around especially since it wasn't busy. We enjoyed our meals and service was fine.

Really cute environment and great service! Came here on a Saturday evening and were able to be seated right away! Tried and loved the gluten free pizza and Nutella martini!

The wife and I eat at Locanda in Campbell fairly often, so after wine tasting at Wente and Concannon in Livermore and needing a place to eat we of course decided to try Locanda Livermore. This one has a bit more of a "party" vibe to it than Campbell and most of the seating is outdoors, but the food and service were just as good. I had a great cocktail and glass of wine to go with my pasta. We have never been disappointed with a meal at Locanda.

Lovely evening sharing our favorite dishes at this restaurant in downtown Livermore. The food is comparable to other Locanda restaurants in Pleasanton, Danville, etc, however, I enjoyed the vibe better at this location with its outdoor seating and friendly staff! I did not care for the pane e olive tapenade. The Nutella espresso was also super sweet.

Locanda Wine Bar in Livermore was such a great Valentine's Day lunch spot! We chose to be seated at the bar since it wasn't crowded just yet, which made for a relaxed and cozy start to our afternoon. The restaurant felt very welcoming, and our servers were attentive and great throughout our visit. The ambiance was fun and lively--many of the staff spoke Italian, which added such a charming and authentic touch. They were engaging and casually conversating on and off, making the experience feel warm and personal. The food was good, but honestly... we came for the Basiltini and espresso martini hehe--and they did not disappoint! There are also several Locanda locations, so be sure to check their website to see all of their restaurant listings. Overall, such a fun and welcoming spot with great vibes and delicious drinks--perfect for a cute lunch date! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area! :)

A no go on my list from now on. The food was genuinely great and honestly the only redeeming part of the experience but everything else was incredibly disappointing. It took 15 minutes just for someone to take our order and another 25 minutes just to get our drinks. When we asked about the delay, the server wasn't apologetic and instead blamed our choice of drinks and said the bar was taking a long time. The food also took far too long to arrive, making the entire evening feel dragged out and frustrating. What made it worse was watching the next table get their food and drinks much faster, which made us feel uncomfortable and honestly wonder if we were being treated differently. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but the overall experience felt neglectful and poorly handled. Great food alone isn't enough to make up for service that makes guests feel unwelcome.

Came to Locanda for the first time this week after seeing good reviews about the pasta but unfortunately we were not very impressed. We ordered the penne alla vodka and the gnocchi - it felt like both were lacking in flavor, and missing salt and spice. We did ask for red pepper flakes and they also gave us a chili paste so that added some more flavor. However the gnocchi felt strangely undercooked as it would feel sticky when eating. This was quite uncomfortable so we didn't finish it. I will say the service was great and all the staff were very nice and friendly, and the ambiance is nice. There is an outdoor patio which is very cutely decorated with swings, and an inside area behind that. Nice to try out, probably won't be back.

I meet my parents here for an early dinner today . I was trying to find a place and I found this one on Yelp . It looked delicious I had to give it a try . Walking up they have a great outside area as soon as you come in there is a huge patio very nicely decorated . The inside was very cute with a huge bar in the middle . They do have TV's around the restaurant . The restroom was clean and had a changing table . We ended up sitting outside it was a very nice day we had to enjoy the outside time . The staff were all so nice from the moment we walked in till the moment we walked out . We got greeted both times . Our waiter was so amazing on my bill it says her name is Raffaella M she was so nice and attentive she also spoke Spanish which was a big help with my parents since it's their first language. For our food I got the Gnocchi Mamma Carmela with pesto sauce it was delicious. My parents got Penne Vodka and Lasagna they both enjoyed their dishes . For drinks we got an Espresso Martini and the Basiltini . For dessert I got a cheesecake my mom got a latte and my dad got ice cream. Everything was super delicious. We had an amazing time the ambience was excellent. The food was great . The service was 10/10 I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.

Wonderful vibe and ambiance! This is the spot. Whether it's happy hour or night out for dinner. This is the place with the cutest setup and spot on drinks! The food was excellent too. It was a party of 5 to celebrate a birthday. We made reservations ahead of time. They have a cute outdoor patio area, a covered patio area and small indoor space. We were under the covered patio area by the outdoor bar. Drinks are a tad on the pricier side $15-20 each. We ordered 2 appetizers, 6 drinks ( Limonata, red wine, furori, 1926 and my fave the Hugo Spritz just like we had in Spain, and 5 dinner meals ( Eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, 2 orders of the bolognese & pesto gnocchi) which was about $291 not including gratuity. Staff were very attentive and brought fun energy to our dine in experience. I recently went to Spain so this place gave me all the cool fun vibes of Amalfi coast and Italy/Spain. Will most definitely be back for drinks and happy hour!!! Locanda, you've gained a new fan!! We'll definitely be back! This time for happy hour!

I wish I could come on here and say wonderful things but this restaurant did not hit the mark with me. Waited almost 1 hour was not approach not once we had to actually flag down help. 1 hour not given water or asked for drink order ... nothing. Drinks were not the best. My pasta was slightly cold and just not good. I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunate.

This place was too cute. Loved the decor inside and outside. Staff were so friendly and attentive. The braised beef on the polenta was insanely good. Don't get me started on those martinis. They were beautiful and tasted so good. The crusted pistachio on the rim was to die for. I definitely recommend this place for some good food and drinks in Livermore.

It was my girlfriends and I's first time trying Locanda Wine Bar, and immediately going in the restaurant was very beautifully decorated! It felt like walking into Italy, but in Livermore! We had a good experience with the waiters because they offered great advice on their recommendations. I ended up getting a short rib tortellini (it was so good)! I do see myself coming back here because I also would want to try their pizza!

As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. We were tempted to get a refill, but the menu said that they charged for bread refills so we declined. Nevertheless, they still refilled our bread and didn't charge us for it (maybe they forgot?). I tried their risotto con pollo and short rib papardelle. The risotto was alright, not the best I've had and portions were small. The short rib papardelle was way too salty. Besides this, I would say skip their mediocre and pricey food.

It didn't really feel like a cohesive bite with the oyster. The melon and cucumber salad had a nice sesame dressing that balanced out the sweet and crunchy bites. I'd skip both of these next time. For our mains we split the radiatori pasta and the steak. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce tasted more like butternut squash instead of sweet corn and tomatoes. It was still good but not quite what we were expecting. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the mashed potatoes and herb butter were the ideal pairings. For our sweet treat, we split the milk and honey, which was a vanilla ice cream topped with honeycomb. This was SOOO good and maybe the best part of dinner.
