We stopped on a whim didn't seem like there were many choices around. While it dosen't look like much from outside the food was delicious. A French dip with large cloves of garlic, a good sized burger with all the fixins and a large selection of breakfast items. Definitely worth the stop. And the locals stop in so it must be good. read more

From the outside my husband was a little hesitant, but I'd read reviews and convinced him to give it a try. Breakfast is his favorite and he was not disappointed!!!! Our waitress was so sweet and kind to us and our boys! Between us, we tried a veggie breakfast burrito, eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage, French toast, and ham. Everything was phenomenal! If we lived locally this would absolutely be our regular breakfast spot. If we're ever in Klamath again we will definitely stop in. read more

A true gem! This is the kind of place you wish all diners would be. Always excellent in every way! Great food, great staff, great casual atmosphere. Any time we're in the area, we stop by. My personal favorites are the breakfast burritos and BLT. Yes, they even make a BLT seem special! My other half loves the Chicken Fried (pork loin) steak and Mushroom Swiss Burger. I love the staff too. Sherry, the owner, is a breath of fresh air and cracks me up! Everyone very helpful and works hard to make this place memorable. And don't forget the emus! Nice place. Very friendly service! They treated me like a local. In fact there was at least two locals in there while I was there. One of the gentlemen apparently takes his bacon and/or ham home to his dog after he finishes his eggs and the owner chatted with him while he ate (at the very clean counter). The other gentleman gets his blood pressure checked before he leaves and she helped him remember his up coming appointment at the doctor and trip to Costco. I only mention this because I felt like I was a fly on the wall at a family breakfast. It was nice. That didn't take away from the excellent service though. Bobbi, my server, made sure I and her other customers had everything I needed and was the sweetest lady with a wonderful sense of humor. She knew that I wanted pancakes before I did, haha. After spending the morning exploring The Trees of Mystery we were starving. Especially when the park only provided coffee and munchies and the restaurant across the street was closed. We headed South to Klamath, CA and came across this small diner. It was the best breakfast we have had in a long time. The waitress was so nice and helped us to get the best deal when ordering. The food was great, the coffee was fantastic, the atmosphere was nice and homey. Can't say enough about the people...extremely nice. Will definitely stop off in Klamath again when traveling that away. read more

A little diner in the redwoods, near the tour-thru tree. The food isn't fancy, but it is tasty and hearty. The real star though is Sherri. She was our server, and even though the restaurant was busy and hopping, she never stopped. But, not only was she quick and efficient, she had a pleasant smile and nice words for everyone, from her locals at the counter to those she never met. I don't think I've ever met such a kind and pleasant person, who was also working so hard. Even though she was so busy, when I asked, she took a few minutes to explain to me that the tour-thru tree: FYI, it is a $5 fee and I'm glad she told us, because we had no cash on us and had to get it before driving over there. read more

I am so happy to have found this gem while up north on a business trip. Small family home cooking type of feel to the business. I was warmly greeted by Sherry and promptly given coffee at my request. I asked what their best breakfast was and asked for no bready/sweet food. Sherry recommended the breakfast burrito, so I ordered a chorizo one. Food came fast, with a side of homemade salsa and sour cream. Portion was HUGE. I am taking half with me. Salsa is absolutely delicious. I couldn't be any happier with the service I received from Sherry or the quality of food they served to me. If I am ever back up this way I will definitely be returning. Diner food is supposed to be fast and easy. Waited a full 50 minutes for our food. The food was fine and cooked properly. The eggs were perfect and the home made gravy was very nice. But almost a full hour for basic breakfast food is a bit much. Other people were starting to ask to convert to to-go orders. read more

We are staying in Trinidad for a few days. We went for a hike at Lady Bird Johnson National Park (which was very nice). After that we were starving. There are not many restaurants around here so we decided to head to The Log Cabin Diner in Klamath. It was a 25 minute drive out of our way but we'll worth it! The diner was clean with interesting decor. The food was delicious. My husband had the Klamath burger and I had the Philly Cheesesteak on a hoagie. The onion rings and fries were also very tasty. We had great service. Everyone there was very friendly and we had a nice chat with the owner. We would definitely go back. I'd like to try their breakfast next time! read more

A real fun spot along the road near the mouth of the Klamath. It takes a little doing to get here, but it's worth your effort. The counter is a welcome sight, and the staff are super friendly. I had the barbecue sandwich, and I liked it well enough. A little sweeter than I would have preferred, but not bad. Onion rings on the side were fresh and homemade, which is a nice touch. What a gem! My wife and I stopped in over the weekend twice (8-29 & 30) it was so refreshing to find them as they hit all the areas. Great food, service and location. There is little to choose from in this area but even-though, they are and would be, a standout in any area. We stayed nearby and this COVID thing has created much disarray in all areas of everyone's lives. Sherry and the rest of the fine people there make things bearable in a great way. Food was great as was the service, follow-through and cleanliness. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience there, a couple of times! The vast majority are great reviews and only and a few poor but of those some people can be just.. well.. ya' know the types. If you are in the area please do yourself a favor and stop in. so i'm traveling through klamath california where they have the famous trees of mystery and i stayed at a local rv park last night and i asked the manager of the rv park what she thought of the log cabin diner she said oh they're really good the lady that owns it makes everything from scratch biscuits and gravy and french toast and waffles and yada yada so i went in there this morning noticing that their prices were much higher than what the manager at the rv park had on her wall like a steak burrito for $25 couple of biscuits and gravy with two eggs or two strips of bacon or sausage for like 20 bucks anyway i was in the mood for french toast since they didn't have the waffles the other lady claimed they did i asked to have my french toast with heavy egg dip if there was a spoonful of egg on the two thin slices of bread i never could taste it more cinnamon and powdered sugar by far then even a trace of egg absolutely the worst french toast i've ever had service was okay but the waitress never came back once had to have other employees give me more coffee and water later found out that the cooks were new and some of the other staff one of the cooks look like an old tweaker with missing teeth then it got slow while i was drinking my coffee and all of a sudden something i had never seen in my life the owner started telling several employees to clean this and clean that and told them when it gets slow she wanted them keeping busy cleaning things up and restocking and i felt like telling her you know cleaning the kitchen floor is something you do later on in the day i'd be more concerned about giving your cooks cooking lessons prices were way overpriced very limited selection and despite the service being pleasant it really pissed me off to waste good money on such mediocre food read more

Absolutely the best diner around, looking for great personality and good diner/home cooking style food, then this is your place. Service was top notch and took 9 of us right at opening ( would recommend calling ahead for that many) had a great time and enjoyed the ambiance and people. Restaurant got packed and 1 server was late, the owner was RUNNING and keeping it all straight, when the server arrived everyone clapped and laughed. Do yourself a favor and go here!! read more

Old log cabin look on the outside, lots of old pictures of the area inside. Next to the diner is a field with emus in it. Food was okay, we had a burger, fries a dollar more to add & a ham melt sandwich, (very salty ham) with fries. Waitress was friendly. Prices decent for what you got. read more
