We went there for a lunch and show. the show was good . Then lunch on the other hand was so/so .The rolls and dessert were awesome. The clam chowder was watery, salty and off color. The backed potato was good. the corn tasted like the frozen kind with seasoning add and cold. The Prim rib was cold and covered in a salty brow gravy. The server said it was au jus sauce. It was not. I attended a wedding at the Log Cabin, and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience with the bartender, Cindy. During cocktail hour, when I ordered my first drink, Cindy asked me for my ID. At the time, I didn't think much of it. However, later on, I asked the other people at my table if they had been asked for identification, and they all said no. I was the only person at my table who had been asked to show ID. When I ordered my second drink, a martini, Cindy told me I needed to "watch myself" with my drinks. I understand martinis are strong and that bartenders need to monitor guests, but I was not intoxicated, acting inappropriately, or showing any signs that I needed to be cut off. I was simply enjoying myself at a wedding. I hadn't finished my second drink, but with the speeches about to start, I had my boyfriend order a third drink for me from the other bartender. I was already uncomfortable with Cindy watching and commenting on my drinks, so he went to the other bartender to avoid another interaction with her. Cindy then went over to my boyfriend at the bar and told him to "watch me" or I was going to need to be cut off. People from our table witnessed the interaction, including her making a hand gesture indicating that I would be cut off. Later, someone from our table ordered the same drink, and Cindy asked if it was for the "skinny girl in the blue dress." I was so embarrassed that I didn't even finish my second drink or touch my third. My boyfriend asked for a refund for the third drink since I never touched it and felt uncomfortable with Cindy counting and monitoring my drinks. She refunded our entire bill, but continued to emphasize that it was her job to count people's drinks and that because I was "so skinny," she would hate to see me get sick. I asked her directly whether I seemed overly drunk or had done anything that gave her a reason to believe I needed to be cut off. She said no, but continued to focus on the fact that I was a "skinny girl." I completely understand and respect a bartender's responsibility to monitor alcohol consumption and cut someone off if they are genuinely showing signs of intoxication. That was not my issue. My issue was being repeatedly singled out, having comments made about my body, and being discussed with other guests in a way that made me feel humiliated. I was honestly so embarrassed that I wanted to leave the wedding. Thankfully, my boyfriend talked me into staying, and we were still able to enjoy the reception. We didn't continue drinking for the rest of the night. What made it even more upsetting was seeing several men later in the evening who appeared much more intoxicated than I was after just one drink still being able to order drinks without issue or being told to "watch themselves." I hope the Log Cabin takes this feedback seriously. There is a professional and respectful way to monitor someone's alcohol consumption without making comments about their body or publicly making them feel singled out. read more

The food was delicious- rave reviews on the steak and scrod. Dessert was a huge brownie sundae. Plus the staff were so friendly. Don't use them for open bar Had a large affair there recently and was contributing a substantial amount to the event. Cindy the manager was over heard rudely reprimanding wait staff bar tenders for putting too much drink not enough ice It was tacky to over hear. But later we learned more about her Me and one other individual went up to the bar Both ordering our own drink and our significant others a drink We were told no it's 2 drink per person We are 2 people and we ordered 4 drinks 2 drinks per person precisely So I said we are only ordering 2 drinks per person She said no you ordered 5 I said I want 2 drinks One for me one for my wife She says well she can come up Here I explained she is handicap She can't come up can I just have the 2 drinks. She said I don't think so And at that point I made arrangements to lower the tip An hour later I went up to get my final drink for the evening. And since I was taking care of the bartender that was up there I told him what happened He shared that sounds like her He can't help because she is the manager But told me how this is not the first time someone has complained about her lack of tact I asked if he realized by her doing this sort of thing it screws up the shared tip for everyone The ownership must be an absentee owner because there is no way they haven't got a glimpse of this woman's attitude Now the other part is really concerning We are using a restroom with 4/5 soap dispensers NONE WORKED !!!!!! Went there with a bus tour. Lunch and entertainment included. The table setting initially was fine. Water and a complementary glass of wine waiting. Rolls and salad was served family style. Rolls were good, warm and moist with fresh butter. Salad was tasty but oddly shredded like it was coleslaw. But the entrees served for lunch were a disaster. A 'fried chicken with white gravy' on a bed of green beans. The chicken was a thin slice of breast meat hidden in the middle of a thick fired crust of doughy tastelessness. The green beans were completely overcooked, mush. Everything under seasoned. Also served was a pot roast. I took one bite, it was so dry I needed half a glass of water to get it down. Both entrees were inedible. I suspect that the pot roast was immediately sliced after coming out of the pot, not allowed to rest and lost all it's juices. Also served were oven roasted red potatoes, quite decent. For dessert a nice slice of pumpkin pie and ice cream was ruined by being over sweetened by being drizzled with caramel. Aside from the food the entertainment was a male and female singer doing 50's and sixties music. The girl was good. The male was not. read more

I attended a conference here today and it was a very nice facility. Looks like a "log cabin" from the outside with many added on additions. Nestled on the slope of Mt Tom, this rustic banquet house fits into the landscape without instusion. Parking is out front, side sloped, as well as up on a steep hill above the facility. Not the best set up for elders or wheelchairs, the w/c ramp is off to one side of the steps, but not well marked. Inside was clean and spacious. The food was better than expected. It looked as they have some nice outdoor areas off the banquet room. I could only see a tad bit off the view as it was a rainy and foggy day but I am sure that it is spectacular on a clear day. Today I spent the majority of my day at the Log Cabin for a conference and have to say that I really enjoyed the experience. The interior of this building is well designed and it has a lot of amazing touches that made the day comfortable. The conference space itself was large and the chairs were comfortable. The bathrooms were well maintained and the main areas were filled with more comfortable chairs and fireplaces. I felt as though I was at a luxury hotel rather than a meeting space. The staff here was incredible. They took care of everyone's needs, and went out of their way at one point to find me Spenda for my coffee. The pastries and snacks they provided throughout the day was delicious, and their coffee was great. The only downside to the food was lunch. Some of the lunch items were phenomenal while others were not as good. My favorite was the Mahi Mahi as well as their bread sticks. This location also had a great outdoor area that provided a nice space to relax when not in the conference. Overall, this is the best place I have been to a conference and have to say that I will try and attend more conferences at this location. My husband and I had our wedding here in October 2010 -- our families both live in the area -- and we are so glad we did! I had heard good things back when I was looking, and although it might not look like much from the street, we were both really won over by the scenery of the ceremony site, which is a hilltop vista overlooking the Pioneer Valley. But it didn't stop there, their service was also fantastic. They had plenty of drool-worthy menu items to choose from that came out just as good as they sounded. They had plenty of vegetarian options and even accommodated for a vegan diet. I wont even get into the popularity of the Oreo cookie covered ice cream dessert. I didn't get a chance to have cake, but it looked beautiful - since we out having pictures taken during the sunset. We've had nothing but compliments on everything! The only daunting moment was the paperwork of getting all of the vendor information and the event play-by-play, but it's all worth it. They run the show the day of the event so we could just sit back and enjoy the day. They did such a smooth job in fact that we didn't even know that the vendor we paid to set up our seat covers decided not to show on time, until we were on our way home from the honeymoon. When my mom told me that our event coordinator asked her if it was OK for them to go ahead and use their own seat covers. When we called to follow up, they had already worked out payment out with the vendor. The place looked amazing, the food was great, the service was exceptional. The site forced guests to wait outside the venue because they were running late, had another wedding going on so during the ceremony the reception could be heard. The worst part was a waitress quit and walked out during the wedding so dinner service was two hours late and food was cold and some people at the table were served and others weren't. I came here for my company's holiday Christmas lunch-in. There was valet parking as soon as we came up. Which was great, because I was not in the mood for walking. We were able to check our coats in as soon as we came into the door. Everything about the place was beautiful. I bet it's gorgeous in the summer. They had a snack table, with a decent amount if fresh cheeses, crackers, veggies, fruit and dips. There were dessert tables all over the place and a manned bar. The tables sat 10 people at each table. We had about 370 attend. It was packed. As we sat there, they continuously filled our water cups. We were served a fresh salad and Olive Garden grade breadsticks (yum!!!) Once it was our tables turn at the buffet line, there was a selection of fresh fruit, veggies, pasta salad, salad, prime rib, pork chops, chicken, veggie lasagne... It was all really good. There was pies, ice cream, pudding, jello at the dessert tables. The only bad thing was that it was freezing cold! Lol. I would definitely come to an event here. It's gorgeous! read more

The food was served buffet style with beautiful presentation and servers that were quick to restock. The service was almost too good - kept places clean and whisked away plates as soon as you looked finished. The staff also helped us set up a slide show. From planning stages to cleanup, everything was seamless, even with rescheduling due to the pandemic. During the shower, the waitstaff were exceptional and accommodated all our guests needs. Absolutely horrendous for a function (perhaps other than a wedding?). Accompanied a senior group for a "Clambake" special ($60) which consisted of a weird clam chowder, overcooked and chewy barbeque pork ribs, overcooked and dried out barbeque chicken, baked potato, corn nibblets and overcooked and chewy lobster. Service was horrible. We ended up clearing the tables ourselves. The highpoint was the entertainment. Can't imagine having a wedding here unless they bring in food from outside. read more

The Log Cabin is the go-to Banquet Hall for formal and company functions in Western MA. I've been here quite a few times, however the most recent trip was our most memorable. The overall appearance of the venue is very warming, upscale, and inviting. The hall includes a dance floor, a stage area, and comfortable table seating for a few hundred guests. The food is served in waves to the entire hall, depending on what you're having. There are 2 full-service bars, one on each side of the hall. Forewarned, the alcohol selection is very fair priced ($6 mix drinks) however the selection itself is limited (no real top-shelf liquor). The food itself is very good, and cooked to order. A guest at our table had an issue with what she received and it was corrected immediately with no hassle. The desserts were excellent, and served coupled with a cup of coffee if you chose to indulge. Overall, my experiences at the Log Cabin have always been favorable. I'll always recommend having company functions or other things of that nature at this venue. read more

They never disappoint. I have attended numerous events there and the food is ALWAYS amazing and the service--really top notch!! Everyone at my table was so pleased with everything that was served! I have recently changed to a vegan diet (vegetarian with no dairy/eggs) and the chef prepared a delicious vegan lunch for me and they also were kind enough to modify the dessert so that I could eat that as well! My boyfriend and I attended a benefit there last night. It's a beautiful place but we were quite disappointed when we ordered a Tito's with soda water served in highball glass and a bottle of Michelob. Our bill was $18 for the one round.not including the tip we usually leave at the bar. I think that was far too much. My boyfriend is not a cheap man by any means he is very generous and has no problem paying for something that he feels is worth the price. This was dissapoining... We had our wedding ceremony and reception here on June 23. From start to finish, The Log Cabin was amazing. The facility itself is very nice - the view is what makes it. Our room (Southampton) overlooks the valley and the sunset poured in the windows (when the opened the shades so we wouldn't be blinded) and was gorgeous! The room and adjacent patio were so beautiful and spacious. The wood bar area in our room was a great touch. The ceremony space overlooks the valley, too. The flowers were understated and just perfect on the stone altar. The staff is tremendous! Chad was our coordinator and he was so awesome. He guided us through the process of planning and was incredibly helpful. Tori was our day-of coordinator and she was calm the whole time and kept everything running smoothly and was adaptable to our schedule (within means - she did keep us on track!). Our lead server was Keith and he was spectacular! What a great guy. He tended to the wedding party and remembered what all of us was having. He was so attentive without being overbearing. Everyone at the Log Cabin was so professional, even the front office staff when we dropped off our centerpieces and escort cards. The food was so good. One friend said at our afterparty that he wished the food hadn't been so good because his pants no longer fit. We could completely customize our menu (we had a tomato-mozzerella-basil salad for our starter... our favorite! AND it was sooooo good!) and had FOUR (yes FOUR) entree options. Where else can you get that?! The passed hors d'oeuvres were so good, and the chef chose a couple in addition to the ones we picked. His choice of mini philly cheeseteaks ended up being the biggest hit of the cocktail hour. The Log Cabin included cake in our package. We chose chocolate cake with white chocolate-raspberry filling. It had real raspberries in the filling... not jam or whatever. It was such good cake and it was beautiful! We were so pleased. Plus, it was served with a vanilla crunch ice cream with raspberry sauce (our choice) that was rumored to be very good (we didn't have any because we were dancing our butts off). One of the best parts about The Log Cabin is that they take care of everything after the wedding. We will go pick up all of our centerpieces that we brought later this week. I always get annoyed when I'm in a wedding and I have to round up centerpieces at the end of a wedding... who wants to do that at the end of the night? All in all, between the view, the facility, the staff and service, and the food, The Log Cabin was a real winner. Our day was so amazing, and everyone in attendance said it was the best wedding they've been to (even those people who NEVER say that kind of thing). We thought it was pricey when we started, but now that we're all done, we think we got waaaay more than our money's worth! We wish we could do it all again! read more

My husband and I were just married here over labor day weekend in 2014. We chose the Log Cabin after looking/inquiring after a number of venues in and around Boston (where we live). The Log Cabin was reasonably priced, clearly had good service, and (as anyone who has ever been there can tell you) is absolutely gorgeous, set on the side of Mount Tom in Holyoke. The owner of the venue (as well as The Delaney House and The D. Hotel), Peter Rosskothen, helped us every step of the way. He guided us through the process-- there were a lot areas where we didn't really know what we doing-- and his vast experience in planning events helped immensely to decide what was/wasn't important for our day. He was very flexible with our ever-changing requests, and was always only an email/phone call away. The planning process was so easy-- and I honestly felt totally secure in relying on his expertise for the day. The service was impeccable-- we had a person designated to coordinate for our day (Josh-- who helped coordinate vendors, staff, etc-- and was AMAZING), and our own personal waiter for the night of, to make sure we ate and never had to go ourselves to the bar. The waitstaff and bartenders were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing-- and we were consistently complimented on its quality. Clearly, these people know what they are doing. Even at the end of the night, they took care of wrapping everything up for us, so that I, nor my mother or sisters, had to worry about making sure we had everything we needed to take back with us. My favorite part of the venue is the outside-- a lot of our party enjoyed the opportunity to escape the loud music inside and sit out by the fireside enjoying a cocktail with a view. At the end of the day, the beautiful view, spacious outside, and open air are what made us choose The Log Cabin. We definitely chose well, and are still getting compliments on the venue. When my little brother told me he was getting married at "The Log Cabin" he was quick to follow with a, "but it's not like, you know, like maple syrupy, it's wicked nice, and the people are awesome. I really think you'll like it!" I really did like it, and the people were AMAZING. The venue is really beautiful, the grounds and the view are spectacular and the food was really good. This review is about Jimmy. I was a bridesmaid in this wedding. Jimmy was server to the bride, groom, the bridal party, and i think the parents for the entire event, and to call him a server is a great injustice. He made sure my glass was never empty, that I was always where I needed to be, and at one point HE BROUGHT MY SHOES ON A TRAY. "Miss, they're going to take another photo." My date was away from the table when they started to bring out appetizers of tomato salad. Starving as he was, he would rather die than eat a tomato. I asked Jimmy to see if he could bring out some bread for him to eat, or anything else at all. Jimmy won again when my man came back to find a the most delicious pumpkin soup at his spot. I'm pretty sure Jimmy would have held my hair back if it had been required, but as he was bringing the drinks, he was also in control of my intake. This may have been his finest accomplishment. I was one of many people in his care, and we all felt as if he was our personal attendant. He made everyone's day and evening very special, and the entire bridal party was smitten. At the end of the night as everyone was winding down, the groomsmen chanted JIMMY! JIMMY! as if he had made the winning touchdown. They do h'or derves which aren't too bad but each person is going to have their own taste obviously & with the meal with this event you got buffet but this one they do it right & proper from the start whether be spirits or non-alcoholic you couldn't go wrong unless you do that yourself. Views when they begin as the sky goes with the sun & on a perfect day you see a far from the mountain you're on & this also is good for like weddings or such but if weather is rainy or breezy/cold if you're not dressed oh boy. Overall "The Big Smoke" is pretty much good & if you get the tickets in advance you get a price break & with that you get three cigars & yes they bring from distributors their selection so if you want different & don't wish to go into the first bit right away no problem & the price is for that I paid $60.00 but worth every penny & you get a shirt to boot. You can call the stations I noted or Cigar Room Two for advance tix but the ways to buy with the stations are online or at the cigar shop with cash. We had my daughters wedding here last weekend and it exceeded every and all expectation. All of the staff were so caring and genuine and extremely professional. The owners are so hands on and really care about every detail. The facility is extremely well kept and every detail of my daughters wedding was executed to perfection! I can't say enough good things about the team. Collin our lead server made us feel so at home and was there for us for everything. Josh Costa the manager was so professional and helpful and we were lucky to have him. Peter the owner was there for us every step of the way! The food was amazing! We had lobster with our surf and turf and it was the best! All of the food from Hors D'Oeuvres to the dessert and the grilled cheese late night snack were so so good! Easter Brunch. I have one word to describe my experience, simply horrible. We were seated and greeted rather quickly and it all went down hill from there. The carving station was awful, beef was over cooked and fatty. I couldn't even cut into my piece. No fruit display other then a small bowl off the sides of the carving station that were never refilled. The rest was mediocre at best. Our server, heart, was one of the worst servers I have ever had. I am a server myself so I tend to be very lenient during busy events but we were an 'extra seating for overflow reservations' and were her only table so she had zero excuse to pay no attention to us. She stopped by our table once to drop off drinks and then we didn't see her until we were done with our desert. Our water glasses remained empty the entire brunch and we all would have loved a coffee with our desert! We did address it with her kindly only to be given an excuse about the computers lagging and thats why she hadn't been to us our entire stay. We finally flagged her down another 15 minutes later foe the check. Easter brunch was advertised with the year 2018 after it for 34.99 a person and 16.99 for children. We were charged 36.99 per person. We asked her about and she said it has been the price all day so grabbed a manager. We showed him the website and he said he would honor it and then we left a complaint about the server and were given 15% off the check for the inconvenience. When brought our new check they did NOT change the price per person and only took the 15% off. We were annoyed and frustrated at that point so paid and left without another word but that means the four easter seatings for brunch they had probably totaling to over a thousand people were charged $2 dollars more per person all day. I do not recommend the holiday brunch to anyone and they really should rethink or retrain some of the staff. had my high school prom here and the experience was very fun! minus one star because my prom date hasn't talked to me since that night, and i thought we got along a lot better than that and that maybe we could've been friends even if she wasn't interested in a relationship. oh well, this place is cool and the views are to die for! read more

went to log cabin for lunch had a burger and popper both of which were very good. Staff was friendly place is really clean. Will be back.

I have always had good experiences here. The reason for the event may have been sad but the staff here went out of their way to make it as happy as possible. I highly recommend their chicken marsala. read more
