So this is either going to be a poor review of food, quality, or possibly a chance for a restaurant to fix a mistake made somewhere at the home office when they sent out their recipes. I ordered a few dishes from Logan's last night and one of them was the fried pickles. Everything else was great no complaints as usual. I had never had the fried pickles there before, and it was amazing how salty they were. I looked online to see if maybe a mistake of it made or if I was Trippin and I found a few reviews in which people had similar comments saying they were incredibly salty. I'm more curious if this is really how they're supposed to taste? or if possibly, did somebody send out a recipe and mistake tablespoons for teaspoons, because I'm not gonna lie I've made the mistake myself, and ruin some dishes. But I cannot believe that this is how you intend for them to taste. Unfortunately you're clothes now I wanted to bring them down and get your opinion. Please let me know and if I'm wrong I apologize maybe it's just a taste thing. But I don't think so. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I made 6 phone calls in a row for a to go order. Started at 5pm, ended at 5:45 pm. I was placed on hold and hung up on every time. The line would pickup somehow there would be an open line and I could hear the female employees (possibly greeters) in the background talking and laughing about me being on hold and for asking to speak to a manager. A girl was heard asking someone in the background "Do I pick it up or just leave it" the other female told her "just leave it and several girls proceeded to laugh in the background". Continuing to laugh about how I KEEP CALLING. This is very unprofessional and upsetting as this is my sons favorite place to have dinner and I will never return there. If the restaurant was so busy I don't think I could hear these girls conversations as they were obviously standing around near the phone talking the entire time I waited almost 45 minutes to speak to someone. LOGANS please hire some decent people to answer your phones and train them with proper customer service skills. At one point someone named Josh the manager did get on the line and I was disconnected on again. Called back again only to get the regional managers name. I was south bound and down, loaded up and truckin' (okay...maybe just south bound as there is only so much trucking you can do in a Nissan Leaf) when I saw the Logan's on the other side of the highway. I hadn't been to a Logan's in years and wasn't even really thinking of food, but felt the urge to stop for what turned out to be a slightly strange, but overall enjoyable dining experience. I would really probably rate this place 3.5 stars, but thanks to the efforts of my server, the delicious steak and the fact that this place needs some help, I'm rounding up instead of down. Walking in a little after 7:30 on a Saturday night, I found an odd scene as it looked like I might expect to find at 3 pm on a Monday. The upside was at least the wait should be quick and the service plentiful or so one would think. I found a spot at the twenty or so seat bar with two other patrons; an employee presumably on break or off and another guy who I'm quite sure is a fixture here. The first bartender, GiGi was very sweet and did a great job despite the fact that I could tell she was stressed between a new drink menu and the fact that she was also taking care of some tables on the other side of the restaurant. Why the bartender would be asked to take care of some tables on the other side of the restaurant makes zero sense and probably goes along with some of the other issues that this Logan's location seems to be having overall. Across from the bar is a bright neon sign stating that they have Dos Equis on draft. As it turns out, it is not on draft or even available in a bottle for that matter. It's a little thing, but the details matter and the sign should be removed. Then there was a second person behind the bar who if it weren't for the fact that she was wearing a Tito's tank top and I saw her make a couple of drinks, I might have thought was just there to clean the bar. It was very odd as she never once even acknowledged I was there. By this time, it's just the Saturday night "fixture" who cannot stop talking about how much he loved the new Wonder Woman movie and me and there was zero engagement whatsoever from bartender two. Thank goodness for GiGi even if her availability was limited. As for my meal, I went with the 6 oz. sirloin ($13.99) with your choice of two sides included. I chose a house salad and baked potato (+ $1.49 for a loaded version). It was odd to me that the salad showed up with the meal and not as a starter, but I didn't request it first either and overall not a big deal. I know a 6 oz. steak is small, but this one looked especially diminutive to my trained eye. It actually looks bigger in the picture or that's what she said anyway. In the end however, along with a handful of the complimentary peanuts, the meal size was just right. The steak definitely exceeded my expectations in quality and taste and was perfectly prepared to my request. The sirloin is billed as "wood fired" and I'm not sure what that means as I have my doubts about there being a cord of oak stacked out back, but the smoke flavor was definitely present and added to the appeal. The salad as with the potato were both pretty standard fare. The croutons were however unique and memorable. Overall the potential is here and I think this location just needs a little help to get back on track. I love the roadhouse concept and have no complaints on the food. Having the only engaging bartender run all over the restaurant rather than taking care of the bar patrons is however a bad formula and cannot be good for sales. read more

The positive... the service was good, very friendly from hostess to server. The food however was sub par. Logan's use to have decent food. Always a little pricey but ok. The meat was over cooked... the brisket... dry thrown on the plate with very little effort. The sirloin was smaller than the potato acceptable if it was cooked right. Ten years ago we had a bad meal at Logan's, raw shrimp skewers. Last month we decided to try it again. The food was pretty good but took WAY too long. The manager apologized and we figured, it happens, we'll come back. Well, tonight we tried it again and it was WAY WAY WAY too long between appetizers and dinner. It also would have been nice to have the salad they never brought me (but we paid for) but by the time dinner came I was OVER IT. Server UPDATE: We were given a gift card, so we went back. Our server (Rachel) was amazing and we had a completely different experience. So, we are changing our 2 Star rating to 3. We will be back, thanks to our server who did a great job! read more

I would love to leave a review, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to eat. We went in around 7pm on Tuesday July 2nd. Walked in, the restaurant wasn't very busy, we waited for a hostess for about 15 minutes. There were servers walking around the restaurant, they noticed us, one even said someone would be with us in just a minute, yet nobody actually came to seat us. I don't know that there was a hostess on duty, since I didn't notice anyone working the front during the time we were there. Anyways, after standing in everyone's way for 15 minutes (we have a family of 5) we sat ourselves in the bar area. There's 5 of us. It's hard to miss us. We take up a lot of room. We took up the biggest booth they had, in the corner, yet somehow still nobody took notice. We tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe all the servers were deaf and blind? So we hung out for another 15 minutes, with zero attention. We got up to leave and as we're walking out, a guy with glasses (I'm assuming he was the bartender) says, "All set? Have a good night!" I said have a good night? We weren't even served. He said, I'm your server. I said, we've been here for 30 minutes and nobody has even came up to us. And, just as any upstanding employee would do, he turned around and walked away..... Heads up, if your hungry, go to Chili's. Excellent service and good food! read more

Salad was awful. Paid extra for steak, only a few very tough pieces that were like rubber and had difficulty cutting with steak knife. Dressing also had soy sauce in it and it was said to be free of soy free and had a dead bug. This is Applebee's or TGIF with peanut shells on the floor. Service is friendly and swift. Food is okay -- they have really good rolls, and I love it that the menu features baked yams. Prices are reasonable. But, please people -- I beg you to reconsider the peanut shells. I know how kids eat -- they are sloppy and everything ends up on the floor. How can you possible clean it? I imagine great swarms of rodents every evening after closing, eating all the crap that people drop amongst the shells, along with the uneaten peanuts. I did try a peanut from the little bucket on our table, and it tasted stale and rancid. Eeek! At least if you're going to base your interior decor around them you should be sure they taste good! read more

No, no, no. Don't go here. The food is very expensive and not very good. The manager there used to be a creeper so I hadn't been in a few years, but decided to go recently. There were 3 of us. My husband loved his ribs, though they were on the pricier side considering what other ribs are available in Chico. My friend's steak was quite bland, considering it's a steak house, and my "meat loaf" was so terrible I couldn't eat it. It tasted like Salisbury steak from a freezer meal. Save your money. Besides, the Health Department would be all over them if there was a rodent issue beyond the norm, which I hate to break to you, but it is. Its practically unavoidable in the restaurant industry. That being said, Logans is very clean and they have nice servers, althoguh its a little pricey. Last time I went someone in my party ordered a glass of wine-$12, and this was a WS Rating that was maybe in the 80's (I'm probably being generous). This restaurant has been a go to favorite for years. I was so disappointed today- service was adequate-but the food was terrible! The French Dip would have been better at a hospital cafeteria. The beef tips were tough, and the presentation was completely unappetizing the portion size was super small- obviously it was not problem because I didn't eat it. Waitress must have known because she never asked how everything was. On a good note our table got 2 salads- both were good and the chili burger was good. Just had a fantastic meal at Logan's, and great service too. We are from Oregon and had never been to Logan's before, we were hesitant due to the bad Reviews we had read. Well I am so glad we decided to try this restaurant anyway. I had the country buttermilk chicken and it was the best chicken I have honestly ever had. My husband had the trio plate of appetizers, he had plenty to eat and everything he tried was great. Our server was named Logan, he was wonderful. Went to Logan's Roadhouse to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately there wasn't much special about what was served. The service was good but the food was terrible. The side orders were both cooked poorly. The potato was rotten and the zucchini was charbroiled. The manager was supposedly informed about the poor quality food but never came out to attempt to make anything better. We were pleased that the desert wasn't cooked at the restaurant and was acceptable. Save your money by not dining at Logan's Roadhouse ordering elsewhere. read more

Worst service I've had there and I'm a regular customer. Our waitress was rude and talked about me and my my friends to another table as if we had done something to her. We hadn't done anything and as we were leaving the people at the table she had talked to told us to go back to a town where we belonged. We don't live in the town he told us to go back to and when I told him we didn't live there he said we acted like it. We hadn't done or said anything to that table. Meanwhile the Manager on duty did nothing to his waitress or the people who treated us like dirt. The food is average. During the last couple of trips here, I've ordered the BBQ ribs and cheeseburger. They were not something I would order again. The ribs were... mediocre. I probably could've cooked them at home and received the same taste. The burger wasn't any better, the meat didn't have very much flavor and the fries were way too salty. The good news? We had so much fun with our Bartender. She is quick witted and excellent at her job. The food was good. We had the very Large fabulous "All Everything Salad", wings and calamari. Wings were good and moist. Next time I'll try something other than the calamari as I'm very picky...they were a little over breaded but tasty. We loved the music once we sat down. Jeremy is the nicest waiter! We snuck in at 930 (a half hour before closing - ya, we're those jerks) and were pleasantly greeted right away. Jeremy was our server and he took excellent care of us. We got more fresh rolls than we've ever had at Logan's before, and the food was out quickly. It's pretty standard chain food (prepared quickly, served hot, moderate quality) but it was exactly what we needed to hit the spot. The rolls at Logan's are literally God's gift to mankind. Jeremy ended up staying over and taking great care of us, and the 4 other tables, until about 1030 (half hour past closing). You'd never suspect the poor guy was probably working overtime. We were very happy with his kindness and prompt service. I only wish Logan's had nutritional information available - it doesn't even exist online, but that's a corporate thing, not a local issue. Frankly this place was very disappointing. When we arrived, we were promptly seated in the bar area. There was one employe; the bartender. She was so busy trying to wait tables and mix drinks, that we were neglected. The menu had a nice selection, and our order was promptly taken. They had a very nice kids plate (steak tips) that came with a very nicer steamed vegetables. I ordered a stake with sautéed mushrooms, and the mushrooms were very sad. There were only a few of them, and there was no butter or garlic. I am not sure what they were sautéed in, but they were sad. In the end, the service and sad mushrooms killed this place for me. In a pinch, I would try it again, but frankly I am not eager to go back. read more

Had a really great lunch experience here yesterday. We arrived right at opening time (11am). We were the only customers at first, but the quiet was nice. Our server, Mandy, was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. The complimentary bread rolls were fresh out of the oven and absolutely amazing. I ordered the California burger with a salad and potato. The food took about 1/2 hour to arrive on our table, and it was fresh tasting and delicious. This was our first time trying Logan's, and we found the experience pleasant. I was surprised by the peanut shells littering the floor, but I gathered that this is supposed to be part of the charm. Everything else seemed clean. The bathrooms were in pretty good shape too. For two people, we paid $35 dollars, which is about the same we end up paying at Applebees. I'll definitely be adding Logan's to our list of great lunch places. read more
