i am a carnivore, enough said. When i see a steak house i will hit that turn signal quickly. So i was on my visit in mid west and i came across Logans Roadhouse,m. Walking in the waitresses were amazing and bubbly (i was comfortable) i ordered my Porter house and was anxiously waiting to see what Logan has up its sleeve. :-( The steak came out, looked like it was first boiled in water and the placed on board and took a hot road to mark the X crossing on a steak. Was not impressed. I know my steaks and this was not to standards. I went be back to the menu and checked if they was anything i missed on how they will prepare it - and boiled was not there. First time here, saw a packed parking lot, thought I would try it. Ordered the $23.99 12 oz Ribeye medium rare, baked potato and caesar salad. Steak was very thin, tenderized and over salted. Not good quality meat at all. I waited for service for a long time so almost got up to leave. This restaurant had the greatest service I've received in a year. Our server was named Chris and his GM. The chicken was so tender and delicious. The GM actually went out and about asking the patrons if they needed anything or how was the food. It was like / better than a high end restruaunt. I got 2 huge chicken breasts that took 2/3 of my plate. I was amazed that such a large piece of chicken could be so tender. I was impressed with my whole visit. Walked in at 6pm, no one was in the lobby. Party of 7, was quoted 10 minutes. Sure no problem. Wrong, it was a problem. Now 6:50pm and still haven't been seated. I can understand being a few minutes off your quoted time, but 40 minutes off? If we originally knew it would take that long this would have been something we took into consideration on if we were going to stay or not. Well this was fun. I came into Logan's to enjoy a drink and wait for a friend. I was greeted by a wonderful bartender (not sure of name, she was tending 3/6 @3pm. She was excellent and the best part of the experience. I sat here for an hour (almost seemed like eternity) waiting for my ride to get here and while I was waiting I got to hear about how much they hated their job, 'this place 'it really put me in a crappy mood. I told the bartender it really sucks to hear the staff complain the entire time. She did offer a drink but i didn't want anything else except for my friend to show up. If your job sucks so bad you sit by customers complaining the entire time, you don't need to be in service. Get a new job, you're not doing anyone any favors. read more

They don't use wood on their grills. They let their cold food sit for hours outside the fridge. When food is getting old, they refresh the labels and still use the food that's not fresh. Lots of the food prep is not done properly. The management is a joke. Instead of doing things that need to be done if someone calls off, they will literally spray the floors and ignore the situation. The new atmosphere from the arrival of the new GM has turned the once enjoyable experience into a feeling of brutal/toxic work environment. Disrespectful leaders that will literally talk disrespectfully to their employees behind their backs. The level of negligence, and the inability of a GM to even make a brownie or croutons, is hilarious. Maybe if leadership wanted to do something to benefit the company, it would be to give Logans an identity. And build a culture where employees feel respected, guest feel excited, and boss's are leaders, not commies. I've never been in an environment, where a person, because of their "work title," treats other humans like trash. Is that how you become a leader? By treating others like garbage? The only thing Logans higher up is managing, is a toxic work culture, at a place that has no identity. Check your food before you eat. I ordered through door dash. They forgot one of my sides. I called, employee answers and hears me out then asks to put me on hold. I said sure. I'm on hold for 5 minutes then a new employee answers the phone and treats me like a new caller. I said "I'm on hold, someone already took my call. But I ordered food and I'm missing a side" she says "all you're missing is a side?" I said "yes, ALL I'm missing is a side" she says "well you can come get it now or come get it at a different time" I asked to speak to a manager. She tells me the manager is busy, then hangs up on me. I then call back, and the manager answers. Said I was very rude to the employee and made her cry. Absolute lie. I tell her that the employee lied and if anything she was the rude one. The manager snaps back "i don't care about that what do you want we're busy". I told her after this I'll never order here again, and she welcomed it. Not much of a surprise considering their amazing 2.5 star rating on here. Door dash gave me a full refund. I do NOT recommend eating here. I came here for dinner after my graduation. Our server was great but the front house manager was horrible. He was helping her bring out some of our food and spilled a drink all over my mother in law. He threw a couple of towels he had with him down on the seat and walked away. He didn't apologize to her and we had to ask him to get another towel to just dry off the seat. He then decided to argue with my husband about who he should even apologize to. The kitchen manager had to come out to address what was happening because the front house manager couldn't figure out basic customer service. He was very apologetic and gave us a couple of gift cards as compensation for the accident. We returned today and most of the restaurant was empty but we were told we would have to wait about 15 minutes because a large party ahead of us didn't have everyone here. There were also 2 other people who were there before us that had been waiting as well. As we waited, it was noticeable that food was being returned to the kitchen for various reasons and that 15 minute wait was turning into 30. We went to return our number and the gift cards from the previous time and said we would not be back. The front house manager this time (a woman) then said she would seat us immediately since we were leaving. We said no, there's already 3 people ahead of us and it's not right to just seat us because we're leaving now. She then told us "Thanks for not understanding!" even though she didn't give any explanation as to why there was a wait nor why there was a lot of empty tables at that time, only that there was a large party and a wait for everyone to arrive. read more

I understand that they probably had to restructure to be able to reopen. What a disappointment! This was our first time dining since they reopened. The menu is limited. Only certain things are offered between 3 & 6pm. We were expecting to order steak tips and shrimp. Unfortunately it was after 6 when we arrived and of course those are on the 3-6 menu. Restaurant was set up for social distancing and several employees could be seen wiping things down. They seemed to be short staffed. Our waitress, while polite and professional, was racing between tables. We had to wait a few times for things that were forgotten. It wasn't the worst service but not the best either. 9-7-19 I took my friend and his wife out for there birthday. I had the everything and anything salad. In the old days if I wanted a salad with no meat I could get 3-4 dollars off. Now as a vegan I'm stuck paying for meat I do not want. I'm very disappointed in how they changed things. I will not be back again. Most other restraunts I go to will drop there meat in the salad and update there pricing. They will also substitute items if I don't want. This place gives u a hard time about everything. Why not get with the times and have a veggie burger, impossible burger or the Beyond Burger. I placed a to-go order for family of 5. I should have checked it thoroughly before I left. Only got 4 rolls when 5 entrees were ordered and three of the entree orders were messed up. Kids burger ordered with no cheese and it came with melted cheese (I know - just scrape it off - try telling that to a picky eater). They forgot all steak fries and substituted spiced appleS instead. It's a 30 minute drive out of my way so I wasn't going to spend an hour round trip to return to the restaurant. Sent a letter to the and told of my concerns and also noted how the paperwork they have at the restaurant shows it should have been checked by them and they didn't do it. Not even a courtesy response from the management. Reminds me how the south side location was known for bad service before it finally cl. Won't be back. So while business manager apologized here and says I could reach out again, I think I've done enough reaching out. Logans has two letters from me and ignored both. When I went to use your restroom I saw a sign above the urinal that essentially said attitude is the one thing we can control in life, the customer is always right, and you're only as good as your last meal. Well, this was my first time ever coming to a Logan's Roadhouse, and this was my dining experience. I came in at about 20 or 30 minutes to close. I always hate coming in so late because I understand that at the end of the night you're ready to get out and go home. I sit down, and I place a quick order based on the recommendation of the server, (who did a great job, given the circumstance) with the intention of eating as quickly as possible I'm trying to get out of there as close to 10 PM as I could. The first snag was, the wings I ordered weren't available, so they were subbed out for some other wings. Alright, not the end of the world. Everything else was good, my one complaint would be the fact that all of my food was hot except my french fries. It's like everything just came off the stove or grill, but my french fries had been sitting under a heating lamp in a high school cafeteria. I had mentioned it to the server and she had put in for a new order but what should have taken 3 minutes took closer to 10 and I had already finished eating. I told her that I didn't want them at that point and left shortly afterwards. At the end of the day, it's the small things that matter. Presentation and the quality of the food as it's prepared can make a mediocre experience exceptional. Had everything come out cold, the fries probably wouldn't have stood out, but then the rest of the meal would have been subpar as well. Doubtful on coming back and if I did, it would have to be earlier in the evening. Might be worth checking out if you're into the chain-style Roadhouse BBQ food, but it's not going to blow you away. read more

I use to love Logan's, but it has gone down hill the last couple times we visited. I ordered a steak and chicken combo, but my steak was undercooked then overcooked. Then our server, Amanda, wasn't engaging towards our table and from what I heard her other tables as well. She brought us our drinks and bill, but everyone else helped us out in between all that. I have it a three stars because the manager did speak to us and made our visit a little better. But, I hope Logan's can get back to how they use to be. read more

We had a wonderful experience today. We dined in with our 4 children and family from out of town. We arrived as an early dinner late lunch so we were seated immediately. A lot of restaurants in our area had a wait or were not even open yet due to being so short staffed because people don't want to work anymore! You could tell that Logan's was running short on staff but the employees that helped us did so with a smile and didn't miss a beat on anything we needed. You cannot push staff to the breaking point by filling every table and expect them to give good service so for that the waiting area did begin to fill up even though there were a lot of empty tables. I am giving a 5 star because the staff did fantastic & our food was delicious and hot. Angie, the manager was running a tight ship and kept everything rolling smoothly. I was grateful for the staff that decided to show up today so that my family and I could enjoy a delicious meal! read more
