Just went one time. It was pretty crowded, but the service was excellent and fast. The food was really bad. I had the Logan steak with corn and onion petals. The steak was cooked correct, but riddled with gristle strings and impossible to eat or cut. Terrible steak. It was over seasoned with too much salt. The corn was good, but also salted too much which doubled down on salt content paired with the steak. I will not go back. I do appreciate the great and friendly service. read more

I can't make any positive recommendation after feeling like I was robbed. My sister gave me a $40 Logan's gift card for my birthday in 2017. Upon presenting the card for a meal with a friend I was told that the card said it had a $0 balance. I know that card had not left my wallet until today. Stopped in at Logan's the other day with some friends because I had never tried it, and I'm always up for good steakhouse food. This is one of those places that tries for the old steakhouse feel by offering guests a bucket of peanuts and encouraging them to throw the shells on the ground. It's a decent little gimmick and makes the place stand out from Redding's other steakhouses. I ordered the grilled pork chop and it was really good! There's a wide variety of sides to choose with your meal ranging from fries to macaroni and cheese or cole slaw. I had the fries and cole slaw; fries were okay but the slaw was pretty bland. Unfortunately there were a few hiccups in regards to service. The server forgot to bring my second side, and I had to remind him that I had it coming and he also forgot my ranch for the fries. After traveling seven hours we stopped at our halfway point and walked down to this place to get dinner, needless to say it was the biggest disappointment. Besides waiting 40 minutes for our food, the staff had no idea what they were doing we had to have special people come to take our order to go, I thought it would be cool to get a shirt and I had to wait another 20 minutes for that and the cashier couldn't even tell me the price. OK so now we got our food finally we walked 10 minutes back to our hotel room in 100° weather, and realize there's no butter or sour cream for our baked potatoes, the portions of our broccoli was two bites, the steak was literally so tough I couldn't cut through it with my little plastic knife. The reason that I have given a one star rating, is not because of the food, but because today we took our friends there for my birthday and to our surprise, our friend knocked her purse off the windowsill and when she picked it up there were 2 dead stinking mice there on the filthy floor. Also checking the windowsill it also was filthy. We contacted the manager and he apologized and acknowledged that they had a problem, but did not seem concerned. Worst steak I have ever had. When you pay 30 plus dollars for a steak you expect it to be half way decent. Well not here. You just get hold sides with balls of butter and flavorless cold steaks. This was the first and only time I will ever go here. I feel sorry for any paying customer that has stepped foot in this door. I asked to speak to the manager about what poor quality of food and service. His response. "Well we can give you a discount next time you're in here" really? That's the best you can do?? The server had excellent customer service. Every time she walked by she checked to see if our drinks needed to be filled and asked if we needed anything. I thought the over all communication of the kitchen staff was excellent when going back and forth to the kitchen the announced them self's so the didn't run into anyone, they looked happy and the staff was full of smiles. I loved the peanuts at the table it made it feel like no time went by before we got our food because we got to figet and throw peanuts at eachother. The Biscuits were sweet and fluffy like a cloud. The vegetable skewer was my favorite I love the charred taste. The mashed potatoes tasted real not out of a box so I really enjoyed that. When the steak out it was a perfect medium rare so the cook did great. Now for the parts I didn't care for was the meat had no flavor it wasn't a very good steak I got the garlic sauce on top but it tasted more like a halendaze sauce. My grandfather gave me some of his sausage but it tasted like a hot dog. My husband and I went here for some drinks and dinner. From the beginning, we were seated immediately. Joshua was our server and he was absolutely amazing. Had the knowledge of everything on the menu and drinks. The rolls they serve complimentary were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. I got a Bloody Mary which was one of the best I've personally had. The burger was a little on the overcooked side but with the extra BBQ sauce it was still good. My husband got the French dip and he enjoyed it. No complaints. Solo business traveler in Redding for one evening, had my heart set on ordering some of that buttermilk country chicken with some of that delicious asparagus... Called at 5:48pm to place an order for pickup, was placed on hold for 3 or 4 minutes. The employee then apologized, noted that she was staffing her position solo until 6pm, and asked for my name and phone number to call me back when another host showed up at 6. I thought this was strange, as a restaurant has never had to call me back for a to-go order before, and I could have shouted "BUTTERMILK COUNTRY CHICKEN WITH ASPARAGUS" in about 3 seconds of this employee's time. 22 minutes later, at 6:10pm with no return call, I called Marie Callendar's instead and ordered a much less tastier version of the fried chicken breast. (At least they were able to take my order in one call though.) The employee from Logan's called me back at 6:15pm-- nearly 30 minutes after my original call was placed. The employee was kind and apologetic, for which I give 2 stars. However, I'm not a frequent patron of Logan's, and this experience doesn't encourage me to come back in the future. So we find the online menu and little to our knowledge It's not up to date with its selection, no artichoke dip, no cheese sticks, boneless wings, the waitress who answered the phone should not have answered with out knowing the menu instead she had to call us back to tell us the items we wanted where not available then they also charge $8 to walk across the street for delivery ok no problem BUT!! Then the driver shows up delivers he also called to tell me no bread rolls available as the oven is broken and informed me he was on his way I check all the food and they gave my three year old wanted Mack and cheese with what I asked for was a side of fruit and they gave her a side of what looks like apple pie stuffing then driver leaves and I quickly notice we have no utensils to eat with I hurry to call him and his reply is well we figured the hotel would have some well no I would hope with the $80 something dollars we spent plus delivery and tipping driver we would get forks spoon and knifes to eat the steaks we ordered so disappointed with how things turned out read more

This is my second time of ordering from Logan's, the food brought me back, but the service and time it takes to get an order for pickup makes it my last time. I ordered both times a little more than an hour before pickup. The first time I came in was a few weeks ago, my order was 47 minutes past the scheduled pickup. They did not include plastic ware as well and when I asked for some it took her so long I asked another server to get them for me. Today my order was 25 minutes past the time! I did not come at a busy time either and then to top it off they were waiting on the wrong order as well. We found this restaurant while in town on business. The house-made rolls are excellent and the best we've had at a steakhouse or BBQ place, and the rib & tri tip (Harris Ranch) platter was plenty for two. The tri tip was tender and wonderfully seasoned. The ribs were tender and falling off the bone, but a bit fatty. Be careful on your side choices or ask. The house salad was nothing more than iceberg, tomatoes, and croutons. The beverage glasses are huge, and there are peanuts to munch on. Just throw the shells on the floor. read more
